How do I wire a LTC3780 to my arduino and display?

I'm re-purposing an old ATX psu into a variable bench psu. The current project has LM2956's however they're faulty, I can only see 11.78V max instead of 29+V. The other down side to these modules is the lack of current control. The project also has an arduino Mega handling acs712 hall current effect sensors and Voltage dividers for my 3.3v 5v 12v terminals and two LDC dispays 16x2 and 16x4. So I was wondering assuming I keep the basic design of the psu can i replace the LM2956s for a single LTC3780, How can I wire the LTC3780 to the arduino and allow me to see the current change.  Thanx in advance.

interface arduino with MLX90620?

Does anyone know of an arduino sketch or library that can drive a 16x4 array of LEDs from the input from a MLX90620 sensor?  I want to make a basic thermal viewer, that doesn't need to read exact temperature, just dim them according to the input.

Read text from SD memory card to display on small LCD screen? Arduino?

I'm looking to build a kind of micro-ereader. I want to be able to display up to a few megabytes of text on a small lcd screen. (Not all at once, I will scroll through the text). I have a 16x4 LCD I have salvaged from an old calculator. Can I use an arduino (or something similar?) to do this and would the SD memory card be necessary? If it is necessary, how would I set this up?

Why do memory modules like flip-flops have a not q output and an r input?

Why do memory modules like flip-flops have a not q output and an r input? What is the necessity of having either? In a d latch the r input is connected to the s input with an inverter, why is it necessary at all? The same goes for not q, if you really needed an inverted q output then you could just add an inverter when necessary. The only thing i could think of is that somehow these are used to connect individual modules sequentially (a 16x4 memory would have 16 rows of 4 bit words; how are the modules connected to form 1 word?)
