Tesla coil configuration. Audio amplifier power supply?

If I am to use an audio amplifier as a power supply for a Tesla coil could I do without a spark gap and primary capacitor? I will be operating the coil within the audible spectrum (1Hz - 20KHz) so an amplifier fits the bill. It's a 2 channel magnetic field power amplifier rated for 750W per channel. That's 750RMS not 750IFL. (If lightning strikes) The current would flow as follows: Power Amp> 4ohm Load> NST 5000v 60ma> RF Choke> Primary Coil> Secondary Coil 1. Do I need a capacitor bank between the RFC and the primary? 2. Can a few feet of 28AWG galvanized steel wire act as a reliable resistor for the 300W current? What about 750W? If not, what can I substitute? 3. Can the amp hold together? I need it in one piece. Please point out the flaws. Thank you

Vacuum forming heat source

Hi! I am planning to build a vacuum forming machine that does not use a seperate oven to heat the plastic. For my 3D printing hobby I have come across many heated beds, also some on 230v. Could something like this (https://www.ebay.com/itm/30X30CM-750W-220V-Silicone-Heater-3D-Printer-Heated-Bed-Pad-30cm-Thermistor/401257671771?hash=item5d6cd22c5b:g:iVEAAOSwx6pYrp70) with a heat sink be used for such an application? Do i have to change/add anything at my gaming pc?

 Specs: -Mobo: AsRock Z77 Extreme 3; -CPU: Intel Core I5 3570k 4.8GHz OC w/ CoolerMaster V8 GTS Cooler; -GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX480 2GB SC; -RAM: 16GB Mushkin 2600 MHz OC; -HDD: Seagate 1TB(that`s enough for me); -PSU: Sirtec HP 750W; I am very curious if i have to change something at my pc.Do i have to change anything at it? Or add something else maybe?If yes,can you show me some things that i could change at my pc but cheap?I want them cheap beaucase i spent lots of money in it and i dont wanna spend lots money again.

Self-balancing motor sizing and drivers?

I'm starting to plan a self-balancing unicycle and I notice several people that have built them are using 450-500W motors. I'd like to use something a bit more robust, like 750W @ 24v, due to terrain. I'm wondering if that's too much and if the guys that are using 500W are happy with the results? Has anybody tracked their current (amps) usage? My guess is that unless you're going full speed and uphill you'll rarely hit full wattage on your motor except for temporary instances. One of the challenges I'm finding is that there are motor drivers up to 25A at 24v or 36v that can handle a bit of surge, but then it takes a huge leap to 160A and 400A surge. I don't think I need something that large and expensive, but my electric motor experience is limited. Could some of you more experienced guys chime in with a bit of advice? Thanks, Gyv

Children's Electric Car

I started to build a pedal car for my granddaughter and fell victim to "Project Creep". What started off as a simple, standard style pedal car modeled on a Type 59 Bugatti grew to a 6' long soapbox style car that will need an electric motor to move it.  I am a DIY guy and i have the plans, materials lists (it will be wood) and motivation.  What I don't have is a parts list for the electrical components nor do i have any idea how big the motor should be, e.g. 500W, 750W,750 gigawatts.  I wish there was just a kit that had all the components from accelerator pedals, gears, motor and a way to connect the whole thing to the 16" bicycle tires.  I don't need it to go 20MPH (she'll be 4 by the time I'm finished) but i don't want flimsy - i tend to overbuild things: why use two bolts when three will do? So, the question is what do i need and where do i get it - the first part is the most important.  I promise i will document the whole project with pics and words from concept to test drive - but i need help.
