Zune 80 Cases

Hey, I'm new to posting on this site, so if I am posting in the wrong area, please forgive me. And I'm not sure if I can make requests, but if I can, I have one. I bought one of the new Zune 80's and have been looking around for a case specially designed for the Zune 80 and not the Zune 30, but can only find two. So I am just wondering if anyone out there can make an instructable on how to make a Zune 80 case, if it isn't too hard. Thanks.

Around the world in 80 seconds

Here's a fun video by Alex Profit & Romain Pergeaux that travels the world in 80 seconds with a pretty clever way of showing the current location. You can see how it's all done in the end, too. It was done in 3 weeks traveling around the world and is a pretty cool way to document a trip. via kottke

Did aerosmith do any good songs.?

I was wondering if anybody knew of some songs that were done by the band aerosmith that don't have bad things in them. I have heard a couple of there songs including Rag Doll and I really like the beat and tune, but they all have something about sex of bad language in them. I was hoping somebody knew of some that had an aerosmith sound but don't have anything bad in them. Thanks

Harware stores 80 Vs 30,000

Just out of interest... I was pondering as to whether the dimise of small chain harware stores is a world wide phenominum or is just an Australian trend... I am lucky enough to have started with my company, back when it was the type of store you could dash into and see Bob from electrical, that had that 1w LeD you were looking for, that never sells, just Bob has some stashed away just for special customers like yourself... Or Dave in plumbing that knows exactly what PSI rated pipe you need for the job..... Or even Tim in tools is still holding that $400 impact drill he ordered in just 'cause you said you wanted to check it out(even though he is not supposed to) Unfortunatley we have been taken over by a multi-million dollar company and things have changed.... Most of the old employees were sacked.... But some made it though... I have taking it apon myself to resurect the fallen company, one person at a time.... So far 5 of us remain (quality employees that LOVE our customers) I now am a manager and have trained over 15 employees. (these team members at times get VERY protective of their departments, which makes me wonder if I instilled a 'lil bit to much of myself in them) Those 15 have trained atleast 5 employees each... So far that's 80 employees... Hopefully this spontaniously continues... I might add, these employees act vastley different from the generic 16yr old kid, the new business employs, who doesn't care if a customers get's stuffed around for hours on end.... 80 vs 30,000 It's seems to be working as I have had MANY complements as to the QUALITY of service provided to customers, by these employees. In the mean time until we take control (I already have 90% of my staff converted to the dark side at my store ;p) It's off to go hide some LeD's, Switch's, Fitting's, Drill's etc down inside our racking so "other" managers don't find out and squeel to head office... Anyway's, is there any Bob's or Dave's left at your local hardware store that you can call on, for all those weird and wonderful things we needs to make all our Instructable dreams come true???

1 year pro membership to whoever figures this out first! I'm trying to remember the name of an old 80's or 90's toy. Answered

Okay everyone, I have been trying to remember what these toys were called for the last couple of years.  They were in the 80's or 90's and could change from a vehicle into a base/battle station. I know I had a few of them.  The two that I remember are a tank that changed into a large base and a three-wheeled vehicle that changed into a gun turret thing (if memory serves me correctly). There was normally a switch or button to press and you would hear a loud gear/spring noise when they changed.  I know it was not a Transformer or GI Joe toy. They had small scaled human figures that were tan in color and a little larger than the figures that came with Technozoids (if anyone remembers those).  The figures were in the same "seated position" (for lack of a better way to describe it) as the Technozoid ones. As I said in the title, there will be a 1 year pro membership to whoever figures this out first!

How to carry 80 feet of PVC on a bike

We needed 80 feet of 3/4" PVC from the local hardware store. Since it's pretty much impossible to park near it and the nearest available car was a couple miles away anyway we decided to carry it by bike. All we used was a couple pieces of inner tube and Brian's Xtracycle. I bet I could've pulled this off on another bike I've recently adopted, but we wanted to be safe. Speaking of safe, this rode pretty well, but the left turns were a little touchy as the front wheel would rub against the PVC. Good thing I was only going a few blocks. Along the way guy in the street told us that that was how the Vietcong would attack them. "They used to strap missiles to bikes! Heheh. Yeah, they kept getting us."

The lock is stuck in the on position and unfortunately, the tiny plastic piece on the inside snapped off so just opening up the thing didn't help at all. it's stuck on lock and there's really nothing i can do about it, or is there?

Possibility of an 80 amp 12 volt power supply?

I'm just wondering about the possibility of me building one of these? I basically want to power a car amp inside a house. If its possible, how much money would I be looking at? How hard would it be to find the parts? And would I be better off paying $500 for a good home receiver, vs $200 for a good car amp plus whatever the cost of the power supply would be?

How do the internal elements of a 28-80 mm lens differ from a 28-200 mm lens? Answered

I'm trying to follow an I'ble posted by Patholio (fisheye lens, https://www.instructables.com/id/cheap-fisheye-lens/). He used an element of a 28-200 mm lens. I have disassembled a 28-80 lens, but the results are less spectacular even though the focal length at the low range (28mm) is the same. I can imagine that the elements of both lenses differ, hence the difference. Is this the explanation?

What is the best mic/setup for Youtube voice overs at $50-$80 US? Answered

Hello all, Does anyone out there do voice over work or have videos you apply voice overs to? I have recently started a show on Youtube and I don't like the audio quality I am getting. I am currently using my closet as a recording booth and a Rode Video Pro Mic direct into my laptop's mic input. It's okay but i want better. I have a budget of $50-$80 to spend. I have been looking at the Audio Technica AT2100 USB/XLR mic, as it has some awesome reviews but i want to hear from the Instructables community as well.

freewheel for micro scooter wheels

Is it possible to make or source some kind of freewheel and sprocket device for a wheel of around 80 - 100mm diameter? i've googled a bit and found micro folding bikes with similar sized wheels but i haven't found replacement parts listed for them, the closest thing i have found is parts for rockboard scooters but rear wheel assemblies cost $80 each which seems a bit steep...

2 totally awesome 80s-lookin' coloured light boxes that flash in response to sound... need to rebuild and need help!

Two sound reactive light boxes (about the size of boot boxes) that are made of faux wood, have a multi coloured panel and textured plexi lining the front, 2 light bulbs in back that flash thru the coloured and plexi panels in response to sound or vibrations. they look fairly early 80s. they started to get more and more unreactive and now you have to thump on them to get any response at all. sigh! anyway, i dont know exactly what theyre called, searches for "sound-reactive light boxes" turn up nothing helpful. anyone know anything about these amazing partytastic gems? id be so sad if i had to scrap them.

Extra Large Helmet for Golf Cart

I have a Milwaukee Brewer themed golf cart and the only thing it is missing is a helmet for a roof.  It needs to be just a basic 80's baseball helmet (no ear flaps...like the ones they used to give away at the game) that is big enough to cover or replace the top of the my EZ-GO golf cart (about 80" long).  Has anyone seen one of these done before?  What kind of materials would I use to fabricate something like this?

Cardboard Template for arduino powered Arcade?

I'm trying to find the 80's styled arcade plans for a cardboard project I had in mind it uses the retro 80's upright Arcade style you see with the screen upright, and I haven't find a single one only a mod to the icade for iPad. I'm thinking learning to code the Arudino to power up a couple of Atari's Classic games on it on my own mini cardboard arcade cabinet. I also will need a template of it so I can create some arcade like artwork for it and display with ease and play on it with a removable joystick (for battleZone only) and replace it with the special two joysticks for battle zone classic. if there's some plans for making a mini cardboard mini arcade from the 80's let me know so I can try coding the Ardiuno to play Atari's classics.
