Do you know the answer to this rhetorical question?

Hello, what determines which new Instructables appear in the ALL RECENT page? I've submitted 6 total, and only 1 has shown up in the ALL RECENT category. Is it done randomly, or does the administrator pick and choose them? I ask since those that appear on the All Recent list seem to get hundreds more views than those that do not. I realize that some are Featured, but I'm referring to the All Recent pulldown.

I've enjoyed instructables for a LONG time now and have endured the annoyance that it is to have to sign in to view all steps on one page... Now that that's gone for non premium users I'm frankly annoyed. Why are you guys trying to FORCE me into buying a bloody membership!? You guys sell plenty of advertisements to cover the costs on here please give us non-wealthy a chance to view all the steps on a single page. I'm beginning to think they should just set up a completely separate pro website for instructables and leave us poor bastards behind but at least give us the all steps on a single page. Really unfair move guys! Change it back!

I know that I can transmit a FM station 50 feet without having any problem with laws (at lest what I have been told). But how can I transmit over all stations in that field?

Maybe this has a topic already, if so, I apologise! I think it must be new, having to register to see all steps. I don't like it! Annoying for when I'm at school and don't want to log in and just generally inconvenient. I think it might put new people off using instructables because registering just to see how to do a project is quite a turn-off. I know the service is free and I feel bad only ever making a contribution to complain! Instructables is a great site and one of my most visited, I really do love it! Anyway, just my thoughts.

The "View All" buttons sometimes don't work for no readily apparent reason. I'm using Windows XP and Google Chrome. Usually both view all buttons fail as they have done today. Sometimes they work on some Instructables and not on others. Sometimes they work in the afternoon and not in the morning. Sometimes you publish my bug reports

Hey everybody, I checked out the site again today, and was looking through some instructables. But unfortunately, the "View all steps on one page" button won't work anymore :( Are there any known issues with it? NrDesign

The Olympics are coming, and although I will miss most of it, it would be cool if I could take part in some way. It turns out I can, and so can every other Brit reading this, in an event called All the Bells. The short version is, on Friday 27th July, at 08:12am, UK time, as many bells as possible, from doorbells and bike bells, all the way up to full cathedral bell-towers will ring, all across the United Kingdom. Taking part is easy - just stand on your doorstep and press your doorbell - but why not go the full hog? Are you in a cycling club? Get them all out in the street, ringing their bike bells. Live near a church? Even if you're not religious, get in touch and get them involved. Go to school? Talk to the music teacher, borrow the hand bells or the tubular bells. Are you an engineer? Hang up the biggest lump of steel on the site, and beat it with a hammer. Heck, just get all your friends to set an alarm on their phones and iPods with a bell-tone at 08:12, or turn up your PC speakers and play with sound effects. Pass the website around your friends and contacts by Facebook or Twitter, put a poster up at work, add graphics and links to your blog, and generally spread the word. [BLOGGED]

I have this new Ati all in wonder card right? And it has two tuners built into it, one is supposed to be for TV which is what I have it hooked up to right now, and the other for FM radio which I haven't tried yet. But is there a good chance that they are both regular tuners and I could use them for dual recording?

While the color green has been the hue of choice for environmentalists and companies wishing to show that they care about nature, making a product green is actually toxic. Due to the difficulty of making a green dye and all the chemicals that are used, it contaminates anything it touches. So when a product is simply putting some green to make it look a little more nature-friendly, it's actually making things worse. Yay! From the NY Times: Take Pigment Green 7, the commonest shade of green used in plastics and paper. It is an organic pigment but contains chlorine, some forms of which can cause cancer and birth defects. Another popular shade, Pigment Green 36, includes potentially hazardous bromide atoms as well as chlorine; while inorganic Pigment Green 50 is a noxious cocktail of cobalt, titanium, nickel and zinc oxide. I am trying to create a vbs script that will use vocabulary databases to randomly choose words according to sentence structure, then using a large database (that tells what words are relevant to the random word chosen) it creates a basic sentence. With more complicated sentence structures there are more complicated. I need some other vbscripters to help. Here is how it works The program chose a statement sentence. The basic structure is noun verb Then the program choses a word Cats verb Finally using the matching database it creates a realisitic sentence Cats meowed. A more complex sentence would be article noun verb preposition pronoun noun article cat verb preposition pronoun noun article cat called preposition her kittens article cat called to her kittens The cat called to her kittens

Hi, I noticed, that the "view all" link to see all Instructables in a member profile is missing, when the person has more than 3 and less than six Instructables. I'm using Ubuntu 10.4 and Firefox 14.0.1, but I don't think it has to do with it because the same happens in other browsers and OS as well. Britt
