BBQ Burner?

I'm thinking of building my own Pig Roaster / BBQ, the problem is I want it to be 60" long and I have not found a propane BBQ burner that is long enough. Can you make it out of Black Gas Pipe? If so what diameter should the burner holes be? Regards, Dennis

I understand the pressure relief valve. I understand the float valve which prevents overfilling. But is there any mechanism to prevent liquid propane from leaking if the tank tips?

bbq stand for webber portable gas?

I bought one of these portable webber bbqs A while ago and have been getting tired of using it hunched over on the ground.  I have been looking around for some simple BBQ stand or BBQ cart plans online but most of the ones I found were a bit more complicated than I think i can handle.  I've never built anything before (no garage = no workspace), but now I've got a garage and an itch to fix a problem. I looked through the site and searched and couldn't quite find anything that would fit what I need.  Any suggestions? And yes, I know I could just set it on a table outside.

I have an AC motor at 4RPM and I do not want to change the sprockets manually each time to change the speed. I would like to have a mechoui (bbq) which allows to have the following speeds: 4, 6, and 8 RPM. I think modifying a transmission of a bicycle: to change the speed I would just have to actuate the handle. What do you think ?

Is charcoal powder better than bricks?

What would happen, if you put charcoal powder instead of bricks in your bbq, Would it push up the heat, or is it just unefficient? Cuz it's really messy, I thought it would be easier to ask someone with experience. I have put it under camping channel, and if it is more efficant than bricks, I guess It could go under the survival channel.

Warrior Dash Costume

Www.warriordash.com This event is coming to Florida and I am going to participate in it with a few of my friends. Before this competition takes place I would like to have a costume made for me to wear during the race. So my challenge to any DIY'ers who would like to engage is to make a costume I could wear to Warrior Dash. The creator who makes the best costume will be rewarded by me wearing it to this event. Usually the people in costumes are the ones the film crews capture video of at all the Warrior Dash Events so there's a strong possibility your costume could show up. I will pay shipping and handling if required. Tomorrow I will post up my measurements. I would need this costume made & shipped to me before the 22nd of January 2011. Costume requirements: Can be any design relative to Warrior Dash or vikings, knights, animals, any tribes/clans/kingdoms, video game characters, etc. Whole costume not required could be anything from just a mask, gloves, body armor, signs, leggings, gloves, accessories Creators are encouraged to collaborate in order to be more efficient and merge ideas together Best of Luck Thanks, to anyone's intrigue I may have peaked

Ruben's Tube - Garden Installation

Hi, i've been looking over Ruben's tube lately with great interest figuring it would be a perfect inclusion for my media center and was thinking it would be great for BBQs outdoors as a semi-permanent installation.. Here's what i'm thinking, a Ruben's Tube, mounted on a stone wall with a pyrex guard around the naked flame to reduce the effect of wind on the flames and to improve safety, with a metal housing surrounding the pipe. Would this be feasible? Safe? How long could i theoretically run this for at a time without it over-heating? Anything i need to consider before beginning the project? Thanks.
