Can't seem to close account...advice from articles didn't help

There appears to be no one to write to (email/messages) to close you account.  There is no link, nothing. Need to know the who/what/where/when/how of closing account.  This doesn't seem quite right that you can't quit!

Picture Quiz - CLOSED

Free picture-quiz! (Isn't this site great...?) Some of you will know this format, others will not. The pictures "spell-out" Instructables user names, either literally or with a bit of thinking. The first is me as an example, the other 10 are the ones I'd like to see a full set of answers for. While this is just for fun I'll patch whoever gets them any of them. While I don't expect people to do this, it would be preferable only to post answers to all10. So far: 1 Red KITE MAN tractor unit 2 ANGRY RED (Fraggle) HEAD (from Full Metal Jacket, where as Marines the toilets were referred to as "Heads" in line with marine terminology) 3 CAN IDA (an asteroid) 4 JAY (E) and Silent-Bob FU (U) Manchu as played by Boris Karloff 5 JESS (Postman Pat's cat) (Y) RAT Barton FINK 6 KENT (county) (S) OK (magazine) 7 (=) S & M ART Garfunkel (=) 8 GOO Tenacious D Tony HART 9 (THE) (Breakfast) BURRITO The MASTER (from Dr Who?, as played by Roger Delgado) 10 Mr BUMP US flag The winners being NachoMahma, Kiteman, n8man & Jayefuu L

No X to close Image Editor

I am working on my first Instructable, and when I edit an image (add text boxes) the "X" that's normally in the upper right corner of a window doesn't show up. I discovered after playing around with it that if I just click in the upper right corner the window closes, but it would be much clearer if the X was there.  Win 7 Chrome version 39.0.2171.95 m (64-bit)

Opening and closing a small door

I want to build a small cabinet based on the TARDIS. I want the doors to open and close automatically and, of course, make the sound. It will only by 12 or so inches tall so I don't need anything big to do this. Ideally, I'd like to activate it by touch. My first idea was to start with the wiring for The Most Useless Machine and move on from there. Think that's a good start? Any better ideas on how to do it? The full build will be in an instructable.

Feature Suggestion, Topic closing

After getting a comment on a very old topic and noticing some come up it occurred to me that giving users the capacity to close their old topics or possibly leave it at the discretion of a time limit or a team of, well not quite executioners but something or other may be rather useful, mainly to stop old topics coming back up without reason, some stay active for a very long time, others just occasionally pop up. If the topics were merely closed but still existent then they'd still be available for reference and any specific comments about something could be sent to the user in question's orangeboard, it's just a thought, I'm not saying all old topics need taken out back and, eh sent to the farm but it might keep the forums a bit fresher, without causing confusion...

Self opening-closing drawer

I'm hoping someone can help. I have a handicap that makes opening drawers and cupboards impossible via touch. Aside from foot. I've been trying to come up with a solution for this for a while now.  I need something that takes up little, if any drawer space. Is relatively cheap (since it needs to be replicated across multiple locations). Can be opened/stopped/closed via a single foot pedal. And that will stop if it encounters some sort of obstruction. Actuators that are able to open drawers to the size needed are very expensive, and I'm unsure if they have the stop function in case of blockage. Anyone have any suggestions/

working with closed cell foam

I am making a clown prop. I have a pair of dry wall stilts that I have attatched closed cell foam to and carved into the shape of bare feet. It was my entent to coat the foam with liquid latex for durability. The foam when shaped and sanded left undesirable open pores, I next filled the pores with flexable latex caulk and then started coating with the liquid latx. I am not happy with the results I am getting, the foam is still to bumpy and the added weight of the caulk may be a problem. I am contemplating starting over with another product. I know that foam board used in the housing industry would be easer to sand smooth, and is there a differant coating that would be easer to apply. Thanks Rick "Locco"

I want to be able to put my night vision monocular in front of my 2x scope on my airsoft.I need a combination of lenses to put between my scope and the NV to let the scope focus at a couple of inches (instead of 30 feet), and reduce magnification because otherwise I’d just be looking at a tiny part of the phosphor screen heavily magnified.I know it’s possible because a commercial unit is available, I just don’t know if it’s feasible for a guy like me (doesn't have a degree in optics) to build (I'm thinking no, but I figured I'd ask). Thanks for any help you can offer.

Words of Advice from Chuck Close: "Just Get to Work!"

"Inspiration is for amateurs. I just get to work." - Chuck CloseChuck Close paints incredible portraits of himself and others with his unique style even though he holds the brush between his teeth due to being a quadriplegic. He is awesome and his paintings are beautiful in person. In a recent interview with Terry Gross, Chuck gives some great advice for anyone who can't think of what to do. Don't wait for inspiration, just get into the habit of making and ride it. After all, Chuck does well with this and here's how he describes himself:I'm a nervous wreck. I'm a slob. I have no patience. And I'm rather lazy. All those things would seem to guarantee that I would not make work like I make. But I didn't want to just go with my nature.More great stuff here.via Drawn!

Automated Garage Door Timer

I have the bad habit of leaving my garage door open sometimes. To come home with your garage wide open is pretty scary. So I was thinking of this idea...  The garage automatically closes after 5 minutes. But that's pretty annoying so I figured you could install a switch underneath the garage door opener that will leave the garage door open. Any ideas on how this could be done or more suggestions? Thanks!

I was bored today and thought I would get the Fuji film out and take some shots of these cpu's I just pulled out of some towers at the dump, hopefully I can get more soon to add to my collection, as far as I know these all appear to be in working order (nothing better then working art).Anyways I may post more pictures later (this is my 4th F****** time writing this topic, apparently instructables has some rather SHODDY safari support....the cause of my many heated fustrations with this website, so the chance of me coming back later are slim).

Windows that self-close to regulate temperature

I like letting the outside air blow through my apartment, but I also like the temperature and humidity to be in a good range. So I go around opening all the windows when it's a good temperature outside, and then forgetting to close them later. I wish windows could be programmed to open themselves automatically to regulate the temperature. I bet this could save a lot of money on heating and air conditioning, while allowing fresh air from outside to come in. I'm imagining a bunch of slats of glass that can rotate like Venetian blinds that are controlled by bimetallic strips or something :) Maybe there would be two layers for better insulation, and one layer could open to allow more heat exchange but not air flow, and both could open at the same time to allow air to flow. For modifying an already-existing window, it would have to install motors and stuff. Anyone have any ideas about how something like this could be made?

Yay for tiny awesome cars that don't use gas! Any ideas for fun modifications? Plans so far include having a silly little decal printed for each side with an amber light on top so we look official, and mounting some 12V air horns in there to rattle the hubcaps off the jerks that pull out in front of it (We already mounted an electric ooga horn in my mom's Xebra SD, but air horns are so much more fun). Cardboard rockets that fire off of compressed air have also been proposed. He also has no name yet...we'll be working on that...

Each patch will feature its respective aircraft, rather than medals. The first place winner will also receive a 1 Year Instructables.com Pro membership if his/her plane meets or exceeds all specifications. *Multiple entries are allowed. To keep the distribution of prizes wide however, each entrant can only win one prize. In the event of multiple winning entries, the higher ranking entry will be named. How to Enter: To enter this contest, you must send me a private message entitled “My PAC9 Paper Airplane [Your Member Name Here]” with your instructable’s URL included. I will then put the link and author's name onto a list on this topic under "Entries". Judging: I will judge all the planes myself based on their abilities. I have decided to test this way because I believe judging on performance and suitability, rather than shape, is a more objective approach. The launch height of all test flights is 5 feet above ground level. The contest begins Thursday, September 29, 2011 and ends Friday, October 28, 2011. Entries must be published before Friday, October 28, 2011. From October 28 to November 1, I will be judging all entries. I will announce the winners of the contest on Tuesday, November 2, 2011 and issue them their prizes Wednesday, November 3, 2011. Entries:
