Hi! I've been writing a story for about a month now and decided togive you all a sneak peak. I will be posting the whole thing once it's done. I will be trying to include some pictures as well. I hope you enjoy it! Here's the first Chapter: DRAGON SAMURAI Chapter 1 The ninja I woke with a start to the sounds of bells and shouts ringing in my ears. I jumped out of my futon and ran to the window. It was a dark and cloudy day. I saw a large crowd swarming towards the Emperor’s palace. Thousands of peasants and merchants were slowly surrounding the palace. Shouts drowned the sound of birds flapping away from the roaring crowd. I quickly changed into my kimono and ran downstairs without making my futon (my mother was going to kill me when I got back) and ran outside ignoring what my mother was saying. I followed the crowd and ran into my friend Hiroshi. “Good morning, Ryu,” he said. “Good morning Hiroshi,” I said. “Do you know what the commotion is about?” “All I know is that it has something to do with the Emperor.” “What would the Emperor do at this time in the morning?” “I have no idea.” If I remember right the Emperor is the kind of guy who stays in bed until eleven in the morning. Just try and imagine a tall puny man who only knows how to govern an empire who needs body guards at all times. If you can imagine that you probably have a good idea of what the Emperor looks like. The only time I’ve actually seen him is when he came for a walk through town but even then he was completely surrounded by guards. The reason I knew so much about the Emperor is because my uncle was one of his personal servants. Hiroshi and I continued to follow the crowd and the palace was coming into sight. Its beautiful building was surrounded by a large stone wall to keep out intruders. The roofs of the pagoda could barely be seen over the wall. Hiroshi pushed forward through the crowd. We eventually got to the front of the palace gates and Hiroshi had cleared a nice amount of room for us. I smiled. His name may mean generous but he wasn’t very generous when it came to giving space. I could hear the crowd around me mumbling to each other. Some said the palace was invaded overnight. Others said that the Emperor would declare the heir to the throne. After several minutes the doors creaked open and the Emperor’s representative slipped out the door with a very serious expression on his face. Questions exploded but the representative just stood there calmly waiting for the crowd to quiet down. Hiroshi nudged me in the ribs. “I vote we go and get noodles after the announcement,” he said. “Always thinking with your stomach aren’t you?” I said. We both giggled while the crowd settled down. The representative opened his mouth to speak. Now the next few seconds were the slowest of my entire life! The representative carefully mouthed the words “The Emperor has been kidnapped.” A gasp arose from the whole crowd. No sooner had he uttered the words than a shuriken (a ninja star) embedded itself in his chest. Everyone looked straight down at the dying man but I looked in the opposite direction. Where the Shuriken had come from stood a dark figure on the rooftop. He caught my eye and we stared at each other for what seemed like forever. Then he turned and darted off into the horizon. It was a ninja! That scary moment when our eyes met I saw something familiar in the figure’s eyes. He must have been at least fifty metres away from where I stood but I couldn’t help noticing something familiar in those eyes. I couldn’t identify what it was but I decided not to think about it at the moment. I stared at the man with blood seeping from his robes. He lay motionless while his heart slowly failed. As I stared into the eyes of the dying man, a chill ran down my spine. Hiroshi turned to me with a perplexed expression. The guards surrounded the man and pushed everyone back. The crowd slowly abandoned the palace gates and we eventually left as well. As we walked back down the road I noticed a man walking towards the palace. We locked eyes and I suddenly knew who he was. He was a Samurai.

I just got a bearded dragon and i had him in a 10 gallon tank. i realized it would be much too small for him eventually so i moved him into a 60 gallon tank. its about a constant 85-90 degrees and his basking area is about 100. humidity is at about 40%. i am aware all of the controversey of using crushed walnut, but its a pretty fine grain and not sharp at all, i will replace this if i must. my dragon today isn't eating very well, he is healthy and moving around alot but he won't eat like he used to. just curious if any one has suggestions. i know about the problems with crushed walnut but i dont think that would have much to do with his appetite and i also cant seem to get him to eat any thing but crickets, i have tried alot of different veggies and what not but its all he will touch.... any help would be much appreciated thanks

Hi! I decided I would post every chapter I do instead of just the first so here's the second chapter! Enjoy! Chapter 2 The traveller After eating some delicious noodles we decided to go to my house. I expected my mother would shout at me because I hadn’t made my bed, but when I got home there was a very different response. My mother looked very frightened. Suddenly my father walked in. He too was a samurai. He was dressed in samurai’s armour and had a katana and a wakizashi (Samurai sword and dagger) which were placed in their sheaths. He only wore the armour in an emergency and in times of war and the expression on his face told me that there was bad news. “Pack your bags, Ryu,” he said. “It’s time for you to go to the dojo.” “What?” I asked in disbelief. “Go and pack your bags,” he repeated. “Hiroshi, you must also get ready. Go home to your father who is waiting for you.” “Yes, sir,” he replied. Hiroshi never questioned my father’s decisions. “Father?” I started. “Do not question me, Ryu. Now go and get ready.” Hiroshi ran out the door and I went to my room and opened my cupboard. Inside were all my kimonos and my bokken (wooden sword). I grabbed my favourite ones and came back to where my father was waiting. I didn’t have time to say goodbye to any of my friends. We walked outside where my father’s horse stood ready. “Hello, Diamond,” I said. He whinnied when he saw me and put his head under my arms so that I could pat him. I scratched his ears while my father prepared the saddle. We named him Diamond because of the diamond shaped mark on his forehead. The white stallion was very rare and my father was lucky to have found him. I still remember the first time we met Diamond. My father and I were travelling on a large dirt road when it started to rain. The road quickly turned to mud so we took shelter under some trees. Hearing a sad whinny, I looked around and found a white stallion lying in the mud. I turned my father’s gaze to the horse and we walked over to it. It was only half awake and had a huge cut in its side. We brought it back to our stables and healed its wounds. It became fond of us so we decided to keep him. He was easily the fastest horse in the city. Back to the present, we set out on the road to the dojo. As we left the city I could see almost everything from the palace down to the pier. The gardens at the top of the hill were full of flowers and shrubs. It was bordered on two sides by a thick hedge. The pagoda was in the middle for people to visit. I realized that I had never actually visited the garden. There were many things I hadn’t visited in the last fourteen years. I would miss the beach with its crystal clear waters and sandy shores. I’d miss the constant movement of the waves. I’d miss my mother and younger sister. I’d especially miss all the friends I had. Leaving Hiroshi would hurt dearly. As we travelled I helped Diamond’s tail to flick away the flies. Diamond galloped so swiftly that it was comfortable riding him. The white stallion sped past villages and mountains until we arrived at a forest. The entrance to the forest was shrouded in mist and there was complete silence. Entering cautiously we heard a weak yelp. My father stopped and stared in the direction of the sound. I dismounted and walked toward the faint voice. My father told me to take my bokken. He always thought that curiosity was a great teacher. I got closer and heard a twitch. Behind a small bush a girl was lying unconscious. She looked about my age- fourteen or fifteen, maybe? She had a deep cut in here wrist that seemed to be from sometime of weapon. She had a large bump on her head which must have left her unconscious. The thing that really surprised me was her hair. It was the colour of gold. I called my father over to see. He stared at the girl and then picked her up. “The healers from the dojo will be able to heal her wounds,” he said. “Put her on your lap and make sure she does not fall of the horse.” I laid her on the horse and put my bokken between me and the saddle holding the girl in place. We continued our journey through the woods without another word. Halfway through the forest the girl started to wake up. She had crystal blue eyes that stared straight at me. “Danger,” she said before drifting back into unconsciousness. I had a bad feeling about this.

Here's the third Chapter. The plot is thickening! :-) PLease tell me if there's anything that could be improved! Chapter 3 The dojo It took another few hours before we actually reached the dojo. The girl with the golden hair had come in and out of consciousness during the day. Clouds were starting to surround us and we weren’t far away from the entrance. I was about to ask my dad a question when a kunai shot past my ear and stuck into the ground. I turned my head around to meet a rain of kunai and shuriken. “Father,” I cried. He barely turned his head an inch before catching sight of the ninja weapons. We broke into a gallop and barely escaped the deadly blades of the kunai and shuriken. One shuriken was aimed straight at the girl. I took my bokken and deflected the ninja star. I had practised sword defence several times with my father. Not a second past when a second wave of weapons was launched form the trees. My father drew his katana and deflected several shurikens and I did my best with my bokken. A kunai embedded itself in my bokken and a shuriken grazed my cheek. I winced and held my cheek feeling the warm blood seep out of my veins. We were now metres away from the dojo’s entrance. No ninja would dare enter it. My dad called to the guards to open the gate and they obeyed. The gate creaked open and we rushed in. The gate closed and several kunai and shuriken clanged against the metal gate. Inside the dojo we were safe from any attack. I breathed heavily as I got off the horse. I got the girl down from the horse while clutching my cheek which was still bleeding. My father ordered me to take the girl to the healers. I walked through the dojo admiring the amazing buildings and statues. There was a beautiful fountain in the garden full of birds bathing themselves. I continued walking until I was walking past the training halls. Curious heads popped out of the halls and gasped at the girl with golden hair. The pupils soon returned to their training when the sensei hit one student’s shins with his walking stick. The young boy winced and held his legs. I had a feeling that the sensei’s hit was harder than it looked. We soon arrived at the healing quarters. I laid the girl in one of the beds and a lady carrying medicine rushed into the healing quarters. She quickly opened a door and placed the medicine on one of the benches inside the room. She came out of the room and noticed that I was standing next to the bed here I had laid the girl. “Oh, I am truly sorry for my rushing,” she said. “Now what do we have here.” “My father and I found her unconscious in a forest near here,” I started. “She’s been coming in and out of consciousness during our journey.” She observed the girl and felt the pulse of her blood. “Her blood circulation is running normally. She doesn’t seem to have a fever.” She performed several other medical procedures before she looked at me and said, “She just needs to rest. You on the other hand need to clean your cheek to prevent infection. Run along now.” I bowed and went to the bathrooms to clean my cheek. Inside I found someone I really didn’t expect to see. “Ryu!” cried Hiroshi. “What are you doing here, Hiroshi?” I asked amazed by his presence. “I’m here to train just like you. What happened to your cheek?” “We were attacked on our way here. A shuriken grazed my cheek.” “You also got a kunai in your bokken.” I looked down at my wooden sword. I took out the kunai which had put a hole straight through the bokken. I sighed. I’ll need a new one. I washed my face and told Hiroshi about our journey here. I explained how we found the girl and were attacked by ninjas. Every now and then he would gasp or gulp but I didn’t mind. Once you’ve lived with Hiroshi for over five years you get used to what he does. He always interrupted sentences with a mumble or yawn or any other type of noise including noise that didn’t come out of his mouth. A bell rang in the distance. It was time for dinner. I could smell the cooked rice and the chicken and my mouth started watering. We walked to the dining hall and sat down about halfway down the left side of the table. The teachers sat up on a raised table and my father was sitting on the far right. He was staring straight to the forest. His expression was hard to decipher but he seemed worried and I had a feeling that it had something to do with the ninjas that attacked us. The man in the centre of the raised table stood up and the hall went completely quiet. “Today we welcome several new students to our dojo,” he shouted in a superior tone. “For those of you who are new, I am Sensei Masako. Some of you may already have heard that the Emperor has been kidnapped by the ninjas. The dojo will be doing its best to help in any way possible. Be aware that this will NOT interrupt your training. Without further ado, let us begin to eat our meal.” Within ten seconds everyone was eating their food and talking to friends. My father ate and conversed with some of the sensei’s at the table but every now and then he would stare out into the forest. Something sinister is going on and I had a feeling that the kidnapped emperor was the least of our problems.

How to make a dragon costume for a child (definitely no fire needed)?
I am trying to decide between buying an AVR Dragon and a USBtiny. The USBtiny seems nice and simple, but the AVR Dragon has more features. Do the extra features of the AVR Dragon work on a Mac, or should I just save the money and buy the USBtiny?

I have a frozen bearded dragon that I would like to take a try at mounting/stuffing/taxidermying/drying. It has been in the freezer for almost a year.
I have three pet dragons. Their names are FRAZZLE, BURN and SPARKEY. One is ORANGE, one is WHITE and one is BROWN. They are fussy about what they eat and I need help finding food which will keep them all happy. How to play : Add to the thread by suggesting something they may like and I will tell you which dragons accept it. From the responses, work out why each dragon likes what it does. They appear to like a lot of vegetarian food, but I've a suspicion they may be cannabalistic too. I also need to know the colours of the three dragons, and a list of 20 foods they will all eat. Grengate has deviously deduced the Dragons' colours. Neuropol has cunningly calculated that Burn likes things with an even number of letters. Iceng has fiendishly found that Frazzle likes things with exactly two vowels in the name. Twinmum has ably ascertained that Sparkey likes things where the initial letter is alphabetically before the final letter of the word. Iceng has also provided a veritable plethora of foodstuffs which will please all the dragons. I now have three very happy and fat dragons. Winners' patches have been sent. Thank you all for playing.

What kind of Foam or material that is strong and sturdy to withstand me moving around in. I'll gather up the list once I have the main base of what I should use to make this.

Lesson One: Beginning Dragons are basically giant lizards with wings but you need to know that dragons have types. Darkness Light Holy Space Fire Water Grass Electric Wood Mecha Ground Dirt Air and Plain Dragons also have deadly attacks and can kill if needed. That is why you never go close to a dragon. EVER. I did once and got a huge scratch. Also the types listed Aren't the only types. There are still more to be found. In the next lesson you will learn the most common tools for catching dragons.

Synopsis: I'm a novice here. I'm trying to make a small electric tea light candle work from a solar landscape light to put a "flame" into a crappy 12" metal dragon sculpture for some yard art. My quandary: The solar light only runs off of one AA battery (1.2 - 1.5v). It appears to be using a 0116 IC? (I know nothing about these) to act as the Joule Thief to power the white LED that I assume is running around 3v. The tea light uses 4.5v (3 x 1.5v) and has a 47 Ohm resistor, a capacitor, and a chip to control the "flicker" of the light. The Help: Can anyone offer up some suggestions how I can properly get the flickering tea light to run from the 1AA solar unit? Could I do something like: 1. Remove white LED from solar light and check voltage 2. Replace resistor on tea light to accommodate voltage coming from Solar battery 3. Solder new wire from where the old white LED was on the solar light to the power leads on the tea light. Thanks for any thoughts, support, or reference.

I did this as a test, so no need to grind my gears about the lack of detail or the unfinished wings. Of course, if you feel passionately about it, feel free to grind my gears good and hard. I'd still like to know what ya'll think. Go to the link below for much larger pic if the thumb interests you at all...the thumb is almost useless. http://imageshack.us/a/img267/5623/firetesta.jpg Size wise, in its pose, there's just over 8" between wing tips, just over 5" head to tail, the "stream of fire" is about 5" long out of the mouth...the head is only 3/8" long by 3/16" wide. Made it with some stiffer than I'd expect steel wire I got at the dollar store ages ago, it's about half a millimeter wide...so it's around 24/25 AW/SW gauge I guess. The legs do look a little awkward in the picture, not at all in the hand or other pictures...but I couldn't get them to look right at the viewing angle I wanted to show...so anyway. Imagine it flying overhead burning a village or cooking a cow for dinner. Cheers.

I found this adorable rubber dragon in the bargain bin of my local toystore and would like to paint it to give it a costumized look. Unfortunately the toy is made from a material i'm not to familiar with. it's very stretch and it seems to me like it is made from supple rubber. It's sort of reminds me of a dog toy. so now I'm trying to find out what type of paint I can and can't use as I don't want it to start flaking. I'don't mind if the toy becomes stiff. I'd will be more of a display item anyway. Could I use spray paint? should I prime it? should i strip the current paint, and which solvent would be best that wouldn' destroy the toy. Any help will be very much appreciated.

I was thinking what could be fun to build... a ball machine with a dragon theme! This is something that might be improved by some of you people if you can build it by just looking at it on this video. This could also be used for something else like a plain old dragon dragon. I was thinkin of adding this to my ball machine but it could not since its more like a prototype. The grey connector thats connected to the track is suppose to move but it isn't for some reason.

I used to watch the show "Dragon Ball Z" when I was younger, on some of the episodes there was a gravity chamber which would increase the gravity in the room. It would go up to 450G (1G= 1 times the Earth's gravity) I know this is completely impossible but could a device like this even exist and if it did would make it to 2G's? Before you respond I know this is just a show and not reality. If this did work this would help athletes train and astronauts (if and when the moon is colonized)

We're planning to get a Yemen (veiled) chameleon and found a US manufacturer making cages like the one below, however the shipping to the UK was prohibitive. So, I'm thinking of a DIY version using THIS sort of mesh and rigid plastic extrusions and was wondering if anyone's made something similar. It needs to be fairly presentable, so plumbing tubing with net draped over is a non-starter. Required size is 30" wide x 16" deep x 42" high.

Where can I buy a drop water fountain?MORE IMPORTANT:What are the name of the professionals who can help me tech the dragon? does anyone knows cool things I could add to the dragon to animate it somehow?Maybe an entrance to put coins and money and some lights would light the whole dragon from inside, maybe a foam machine on the mouth or a flametrower. Is there any light that with a special bulb or opaque acrylic that stays smooth like a car`s neon and not localized when seeing it directly? how could i light the dragon in an epic way , having in account that the dragon has a rooted intricate body and we can put lights inside? maybe i can put the lights. Who is the professional who can put wholes for the lighting system and it-s wiring on the 3d model before we print it?______________________________________________________________________________________________I Will reproduce this model of this dragon (https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-rigging-motion-paths-model-1150078) and MIRA ARTS RESHAPED SO IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S BODY IT'S MADE WITH THE ROOTS OF AMAZON,like this one(https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mira-arts/forest-dragon) , rigged again in an epic way to fit inside a particular room along the walls, with a 2m wide head and an asian dragon body so it can spiral and swirl and curve around the room, like the walls are water, maybe even go behond walls outside and trough windows.it will have simple sensors so when you're close to the head it activates smoke machines there, maybe an "Ha" soundwith the help of architects, we will assemble the creature on site.I will reproduce it with around 500$ of cardboard sheets laser etched in topographical layers (PRICE) with the help of 123dmake (check it out), maybe then plastered and sanded down.like this tutorial until step 4. (https://www.instructables.com/id/Fine-Art-from-Cardboard/)with this system we can 3D print the dragon and anything imaginable at a Giant Epic scale!I'm going to kickstart this project ______________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________ Fluff to save the World: I will name the Artpiece with a long name "Niu Pachamama Dragon :Bolsonaro, me muda o nome da Amazonia para Pachamama para ter um lugar mais visível no Google para salvarmos a Pachamama, vai!" or in english: "Mr.Bolsonaro (Brazil's President), can you change the name of Amazon Forest to just Pachamama so it can have better ,non confusing google searches and we can finally save it from ilegal deforestation?"Amazon has been unconsciously hidden UNDER Amazon Company IN WEB SEARCH ENGINES for too long,it doesn't have any clicks on search engines, it needs a legit different name for it's core to survive on aND PUMP the PLANET TROUGH THE internet. This way the company and the forest can coexist in different non intersecting google "cupboards" without any confusion for kids and adults alike. If the president changes the name OF aMAZON TO PACHAMAMA TROUGH THIS DRAGON SPLASH, we can bring tons of attention to Pachamama, the New Amazon AND POTENTIALY SAVE THE WORLD!.eCK!For 2020 WE CAN EVEN BE CELEBRATING 3SMAS INSTEAD OF CHRISTAMAS, WHERE INSTEAD OF TORNING DOWN A PINE TREE EACH FAMILY PLANTS 10 PLANTS!MERRY 3SMAS EVERYBODY, TREES MUST SURVIVE!THEI'RE ALIVE!The dragon has become a global symbol for epicness, Myth, entertainment fantasy monster,But the Virgin Amazonian Augmented Dragon or new Pachamaman Dragon CAN BECOME The transcendental symbol of good hope FOR PACHAMAMA,meaning, a guide to Brazilian politicians to "Get a legit Google cupboard for amazon RIGHT NOW!",protector of treasure with the TREASURE representing the Forests, specially the amazon, and hope that we can still save and act for all the forests of the world!a nEW PACHAMAMAit represents the fertility of the amazon, also IT'S deforestation,it's brutality, and future connection with mankind!iMAGINE THAT! and the dragon has an augmented DBZ scouter on the eye that represents the Good side of transcendental connection between human and machine(equals dragon, a symbol of leadership)(https://i.ytimg.com/vi/xiKcimY1iEc/maxresdefault.jpg) It represents the new transcendental connection with technology, you can have a google glass augmented "game" where you become an instant druid in the rainforest, with the camera reckognizing everyplant and medicine that you wish, and dosages for it, and where to get the next one for the recipes AND HOW TO PREPARE THEM.
