Solar Capillary Irrigation

I was thinking: If you used a post hole digger and made 2' or 3' holes throughout the garden, then dropped an old pant leg or other scrap fabric down the hole, filled it up with soil while leaving some fabric exposed above the soil, covered the fabric with an inverted clear plastic or glass bowl, would this draw enough moisture through the fabric to irrigate the plants near the bowl? I'm thinking the sun would heat things up for condensation on the glass which would drip down the sides to the soil while capillary action would draw deep soil moisture through the fabric to the surface where garden plant root zones are. Anybody try this before?

Solar Powered Drip Irrigation

Hi. I am in the process of designing and building a balcony garden with drip irrigation for multiple 3' x 1' planter boxes. The idea is to automatically water with a reservoir pump attached to drip line. There is no water or electrical outlet, so it has to be off grid. This being my first solar project, advice and assurance would be much appreciated. Automatic Irrigation using d1 mini

Hi Everyone, I reviewed different automatic irrigation system projects here in instructables and other sites as well and i decided to gather parts to do a simple small project myself. One thing that comes hard is the programming part as I don't know any programming language. I'm looking for some help with code merging, explanation and some general guidance. Could you please let me know, point me to right direction and tell me what you think and if requirements are actually achievable? What I would like to achieve: Intention of this project is to have manual and auto irrigation system which will: 1. Measure soil moisture and dependently on the value activate the usb pump which will water the plant (preferably analog output that will show the measurements in %) 2. Manual activating the pump via hardware button and via mobile phone with internet connection 3. Distance sensor which should measure how much water is left in the tank 4. Email notification with info when to water the plants and soil sensor data regardless of the automatic process that has already started 5. Email notification with info about the water in the tank when it’s near empty 6. Dashboard preferably inside the network (not using third party like blynk or others) with access from the internet (I have QNAP that I think can be used). 7. If possible – have amazon echo (Alexa) read the sensor data to tell me the values and comment if the plant should or shouldn’t be watered or the tank should be refiled or not as well as ability to ask Alexa to start or stop the irrigation Hardware: D1 mini: Wemos V2 Relay shield: My relay is slightly modified: 2 small wires soldered to the vcc and ground so that when it receives the signal on d1 pin it opens and current flows to female usb connector supposedly activating the usb water pump. modding an oral irrigator to a blast cleaner?

I got the idea when i saw this: But because i do not own an oral irrigator, i don't know if it's possible. Is the power enough to mod it into an blast cleaner? is the nozzle big enough for any material (sand or backing soda or whatever)? I am unwilling to buy an oral irrigator for relatively much money only to find out that it has no use... it would be useful for postprocessing my 3d-prints.... thanks for answers jodock

I need to make a irrigation system that lime won't block and will help cut weed growth?

 It can use a timer or electronic value but it must be cheap and run on no more than 12 volt. We live in an area of hard water, I have tried the soaker hoses but they block with lime very very quickly. The water will be from a water butt, so low pressure I was wondering about drilling 1mm holes in 1/2" pipe and leave it underground like a soaker hose.

gray water storage to water lawn ?

I live on a  small farm and  was  thinking  of   using  gray water  towater   my lawn and  field. I  have  5 kids   in the  house and we  wash a tremendous  amount fo  laundry.  My thought s were to   install a large   tank  behind  the house in  the edge of the field and  piping  my  gray water  and  rain water from the  house into the  tank  and  use for irrigation. My concerns  are   1. i have heard   that   if you allow    gray   water to stand for   as little as  24 hours   it will  go septic which is bad. What of  you  placed  some  type  of  small pump to circulate   the water  say   three  rounds  minimum   every   eight hours   or  so . Could  this  stop  things  form   going septic 2.the goal is   that if   it is raining  today    i need to store the water  at least a few  days    without   itgoing  septic to benefit me. Any ideas  anyone?

The wimpy power grid! Low pressure air for little jobs. I pumped water 6 ft high with 0.2psi!

So I am not talking a 0.2 psi grid.  Anywhere from 1 to 4 psi should work for the little jobs.  All  you have to do is make feeble wind or water or solar panel or Stirling engines to power the  pumps and the pumps are just a couple of ft of tubing!  So, 1 psi is nothing! We should be able to make it in all sorts of ways.  My air comes from a 3.5 Watt bubble pump until I (or you) figure out how to run a tiny compressor off my 15 Watt solar panel.    I have a few demo videos including the one here

Will this float switch idea work?

I'm messing around with cheap-o solar pumping project wherein I want to pump water 75-100' from a stream (or really a shallow well next to a stream) to barrel near my fruit trees. I wanted to install a float switch in said barrel to turn off the pump when the barrel is full, but was trying to avoid having to run wire all the way from the pump/controller/battery set-up at the stream to the barrel. I had this idea that if I pumped water first into a 5-gal bucket mounted on a tree near the pump and raised it up above the barrel, Not only would I make the most of my pump's feeble lift (by reducing the friction it must overcome and allowing gravity to do the work), but it would also allow me to put a float switch on the bucket itself, rather than in the barrel, thus reducing the wire run significantly. Here's a picture (not all system components represented).  Will it work?  I'm wondering if there's a physical/practical consideration that I'm missing... Thanks for having a look!

Low pressure pneumatic grid (1 to 4 psi) to use small wind, small hydro and small solar power?

I have used low pressure air and a simple "airlift pump"  to cycle water around a "pallet  Garden" since August.  This meant that very little water was being used but the plants were growing really well.   the air comes from an aquarium bubble pump and it is about 1 psi.  The pallet garden is almost 20 ft from the little bubble pump.   Recently I decided to do something similar in my greenhouse, but it is 120 ft from the little pump and there is no electrical socket close.  So reluctantly I bought another 120 ft of 1/4 inch tubing to send the air to the greenhouse.  I didn't expect it to work at that distance.  But it is working great. Why not use air instead of electricity to move the energy from "toy" windmills in gardens? Or from low head small water power?  I bet anyone could make a compressor to make 1 PSI.  It is orders of magnitude easier than making a direct water pump or converting the energy to electrical and then back again in a pump.  An airlift pump is just a vertical tube in the water.    How simple is that!   and it is darn cheap too.  You can use this for pumping water (Highest I ever got was 18 ft with 1 psi) or just bubbling air into a fishpond or to actually move the water in small water features.   Or of course in the pallet garden or in aquaponics.  And even thought this energy is useful at that scale it can never ever be made worthwhile to share it electrically.  But maybe your grid could extend to your neighbours garden too?  You could have an interconnector if you or they have a bit of excess pneumatic power!

Obviously people have already thought about this (here's a link to a great project, but I was thinking if there was a way to build something even less technological, i.e. with no pump (I would rather use gravity instead) and no special condenser, but rather something made from recycled/easy to get parts. After all I don't live in a desert, so a less efficient system would do just fine. It's just so that I don't have to carry heavy buckets of water to quench the thirst of my synergic garden. Cheers

Tall irrigated hedge to pre-cool A/C condenser? Answered

I am thinking about planting a hedge around our air conditioner condenser to increase its efficiency. This would serve as shade for the condenser and as a means to inject water to keep the plant cooling the air as it evaporates the water. When rainwater is available, an aquarium pump could "irrigate" the hedge. When not available, a switch could control a valve for a high-pressure drip irrigation system. Both could be controlled by the compressor circuit. Keep the hedge trimmed about 6 feet tall and with just enough space around the condenser for a workman to easily maintain the unit (at least 3 feet from the condenser). The hedge would have to be drought resistant and one that does not shed leaves or debris. Any thoughts about this?

Version control in open source or free hardware projects. Standard methodology?

I have a pallet garden project that has morphed from 1 type of pallet garden into 3 types and with several methods of irrigation and water cycling.  Is there a standard method of versioning it?   I have it on youtube on a playlist.  Someone suggested  using Semantic Versioning  on the videos in my playlist to help me and others keep track.   I do video's a lot because talking to the camera helps define problems for me and sometimes other people do suggest solutions.;=view_all  The project continues to grow. I expect someone to come up with a Stirling or fluidyne method of using solar heat to compress the air in the next couple of months and if they don't I will do it myself.  (It is only 1 psi and 5 watts).   60 litres per hour works 3 pallet gardens together pretty easily.  I have 6 working at the same time right now.  2 vertical. 1 flat and 3 leaning pallet gardens.  I can double that as soon as I build some more.  Brian

Pulser pump research from Loughborough University

The pulser pump is the world's simplest water powered device. But the way it pumps water is pretty much unknown to the general public and research is lacking. Here is a paper from an engineering student in a university about it. (It is attached as a pdf file to this post).   Hopefully it fleshes out some of the science.  Regardless of who "invented" it,  it has been my "baby" for over 2 decades so it is nice to see it get some attention!     I was also told that the experiments may continue next year.  (With a different student)   Please check out the attached pdf,  I think mini pulser pumps can power "pallet gardens" but I do not have a stream here to try one.  (Going 3 ft deep under the water exit level is enough so really easy).   Brian

Q: flower-pot mounted in plastic bottle partially filled with water

Hi, i have major water-issues here in the garden (steep southern slope in the mountains; little earth:; hot in the summer). so i always play around and look for solutions. latest play: i cut off a bottle, filled it with an inch of water, and then, a couple inches above inserted a flower-pot that tightly fits. q: is there a chance that the roots will eventually feed of the ´tank´ at the bottom of the bottle so that no waterinbg of the flower(pot) is needed (sort of a self-contained system)?bowing (flower, too)

DIY Colonic set up questions about safety?

So I've been wanting to get a colonic and there isn't anywhere to do it where I am. I decided to build myself a really cheap system to try it out right now. I got a Rubbermaid 7 gallon plastic box to hold the water, a (vinyl?) shower head hose, and some enema tips and gorilla glued the tube into the bottom of the box (trying not to get the glue inside the box where the water would be) and the other side to the tip (also trying to avoid getting glue where water would flow). The question is in whether or not this is safe (with the vinyl tubing and gorilla glue part). I plan to try it out the day after tomorrow but I figured I'd see if anyone else tried this or knows.

Bilge Pump vs Drip Irrigation for Low-Power Swamp Cooler

I'm building a small evaporative/swamp cooler for Burning Man that I would like to use as little power as possible (no solar panels). Traditional playa swamp cooler designs use a small pump to continuously irrigate the cooler pads. I'm thinking it might be more efficient to put the water in a reservoir that sits above the pads and gradually drips down on them. But since the pads need to be saturated for maximum evaporation, eventually the water will pool at the bottom and need to be pumped back to the reservoir by a pump controlled by a float switch. Which of these designs do you think would use less energy?

Tree moat digging machine need help

I am needing to dig tree moats around 150 trees in an orchard. We use flood irrigation to water them. Each tree has a sprinkler head. I am needing to build a moat around each tree to keep the water near the roots. As of right now we are forced to use a hand hoe to make them. On some spots i have to use a shovel to break the soil up before I can use the hoe to make the moat. Does anyone have any ideas on a machine or better process to make them? What came to mind was a trench machine or some kind of disc harrow. The problem with the trencher i see is they are made to go forward and not side to side. The moat are not that deep maybe 5-7 in deep. A photo of one i dug by hand as an example.

Flipping bucket help

Hi all , I need some help with an Instructable . I have a very slow stream of water near my house I want to use for irrigating my garden (~10liters / hour) and I want it to fill a container (bucket) and flip over to another container when it gets filled . The bottom bucket will connect to my droping irrigation hose. If I connect it directly only some plants get water all the time . I need it to build up and then water them all periodically . I hope I explained myself well . they have this kind of mechanism in water parks .. How do I design the flipping bucket ? where do i put the hinges ? Thanks.

AirDrop Irragation

Anyone  ever heard of this airdrop irrigation. Sounds pretty amazing, in the vid he talks about producing 1 liter h2o a day with a small one he build at home. I'm thinking the fan could be replaced with a sun pipe.

Powering a 24 Volt sensor with an arduino? Answered

Hello!   Ok here is the issue. Right now I am designing a rain water collection system by having my down spout drain into a 55 gallon plastic drum. I want to cap the drum to avoid spillage. The problem is what happens when the drum is full and the rain is still coming in. I know there are plenty of mechanical ways to solve this problem but I wanna have fun with an Arduino I have laying around. What I am thinking is run a pipe out of the bottom that has an irrigation valve installed (for anyone who is reading that that isn't aware of what an irrigation valve is, it is and inexpensive solenoid valve that is used for unground sprinkler systems). I figure I will add a water level sensor to the inside of the barrel and then hook the sensor and valve together via my Arduino. From there type a little code and violaa I have an over fill protection device! Here is the problem: An irrigation valve is 24v and the Arduino is 6volts. I know I can get the 24 volts from a power supply down to 6volts via resister, but then how would power the valve? My goal is to NOT have to buy a 12volt 1" solenoid (i didn't want to spend a lot of money on this project). I am not sure if there is a solution to this problem, but being a very green/inexperienced electronics hobbyist figured could hurt to ask. Thanks

What is the maximum PSI a polyethylene 'tote' water tank can hold? ?

I am building an irrigation system, and I have an Plastic 100 gallon translucent poly tank that is square with skds on the bottom and top.  It was previously used for holding and transferring used vegetable oil.  For my irrigation system to work properly I need to find out if it will safely hold 70 PSI of air pressure.  It looks like it would, I THINK it would.  There is a molding seem in the middle all the way around which I thought I could wrap a tow strap around for added strength.  I know they are not designed as pressure tanks, but surely someone out there knows what the breaking point of one would be? this link shows what it looks like; Thank you very much for any help I can find. any one with an idea of a simple to construct well water pump(30ft) and with head pressure for a savonious turbine?

I live in a remote area where electricity is not there and sometimes we do experience long dry spells. during the dry spells, wind is present although not too strong. i want to use this wind power with savonious turbine to irrigate a nearby one acre plot. water is 30ft and below.

Self sufficient garden idea? possibly off-grid? Answered

I had this idea for a rain barrel + solar timed pump+ drip irrigation system, but was having trouble about the pump itself. I would like the pump to let water drip every couple of hours, for about a week. I have had no such luck finding this item online or otherwise. Any information on such a product, like how to build or where to buy would be enormously helpful!

Rainbarrels- New or Reconditioned? Answered

Greetings! I want to install rain barrels beneath four downspouts. I would also like to be able to use the water for consumption if the need should arise, so I wonder if the "reconditioned" 55 gallon barrels can be cleaned enough for such use, or should I just purchase brand new ones? I can save a lot of money on the reconditioned ones, but if they are going to contaminate the water, I will gladly pay the price for new. Any advice is most appreciated!  -Bradley

Connect timer w Rechargeable 9v to Solar panel?

I am using a rechargeable 9v battery in my irrigation timers.  I would think it would be easy to hook up a small solar panel to charge the batteries during the day and then I don't have to worry about them failing and me not noticing until my garden goes brown.  Two wires join in a pastic coated cap that hooks to the 9volts.  Can't I just take the cap apart and connect the leads from the little solar panel?

How to install an LED on/off Indicator to Monitor 24v AC line?

I want an LED indicator that will lite when an AC circuit is on. The line/output is 24vAC at .5A. This is an irrigation controller, which sends 24vAC to activate a water/sprinkler controller valve.   I need a basic cicuit design and/or instructions. Googling led me to the 3 pages below, but I am not sure what to do. Any advice appreciated.  Thank you.

Hello Makers I am an English Major, I like making things, particularly micro controllers. I really want to be an engineer. Has any one made the switch from Humanities undergrad to engineering grad school? Or some kind of tech post grad? I really want a job doing working on technical stuff doing problem solving. Right now I'm in the peace corps working with Agriculture, I have been thinking of using my experience to work with irrigation for small farmers, and micro controllers. Any advice? thanks

Using Radiant Alumipex for Solar Pool Heater

Hello everyone, First time here, found lots of info but have question about using this type of piping. I've noticed most people use either black hose or irrigation pipe. I have extra black radiant heat hose and was thinking it would be much better. Its black hose shell with a thin aluminum shielding then thick white pipe inside. It says rated for 200F - 100psi and is 1/2 thick. Brand name caked Weil-Mclain Alumipex for Radiant 1/2nom 1216 PEX-AL-PEX. Can someone please let me know if this would work. Thanks. Brian

Has anyone made a regular-to-footpedal sink conversion?

I have had this thought for some time but don't know plumbing or mechanical movement conversion well enough to effectively pull it off. What I've done so far is install a utility sink that hooks up to a veggiebed-mounted soakhose. I think it would be great for me to build it this way (more from scratch for problem-solving) and all at my limited level, but ideally, I think this will be one next logical step in water conservation if it can be integrated into a kitchen/bathroom sink (and shower). Coupled with an adapter to funnel graywater to storage or irrigation, it becomes one better. I agree flow-restricters are a good idea as well, but I feel this additionally adds to consumer value control and potential reuse. Any ideas on this one would be valuable! Thanks!

How to remodel my front yard garden?

Hi, i have my front yard that I want to renovate so that it is both appealing day and night to anybody who walks in and memorises that moment.  This is the area that has the most traffic everyday at about any time so it needs to be practical, safe and appealing.  I want to design and use any materials but needs to be in the green way as there are much focus on these nowadays and prevent wastage. This is what I have in mind: 12 volt system: A/or many power packs that will provide power to all the electrical stuffs, charged using solar panels and since these will be low voltage it should be safe. Items that would be using 12v would be outdoor lighthing, the power cables, water pump submersible, submersible light.  It would be great to have an electrical plan that would aid however I don't know how to do that. Water feature: Add a biological filter made of concrete for the pond with all its plumbing and also add overflow drain in pond and a small canal to evacuate the excess of water.  Plants:  Concerning the plants some will be moved, cut down or removed completely.  I want a complete mixture of different kinds of plants such As bushes creeping plants etc.  It would be nice to create a plant plan both written and visual as it would aid greatly however I don't really have that knowledge. Other things: I would like to include pergolas and arbours and also allow plants to grow on them such as creeping plants. I want the area to have complete or as much privacy as possible but don't really know specially by hiding the view from above.  As A boundary I want to include fencing and then let creeping plants to grow on them just to get that privacy.  An automatic watering system would be very good such as popup sprinkler, or drip irrigation but an irrigation plan would best be suited but still I don't know how to make that. There should be provision for spaces in adding security cameras that would remain hidden for a certain time period. Finally there should be an Area to store dustbin and also to let clothes dry.

Water Recycling with a Hydroponic Bog Garden

Clean water - we all need it.  Treating and reusing sewage and other waste water means reducing the burden on the already limited supply of water from our lakes, rivers, and underground aquifers. Instructables user Biotank posted this excellent Hydroponic bog garden. It's the final step in a series of sewage water treatments, and uses bacteria to clean the water even further so it can be used for irrigation.  This system can be combined with a garden for water-loving plants as shown here, or with a fish pond.  While this bog garden isn't likely to fit in your backyard, it's a great example of thinking outside the box to solve the problem of water reuse!  Check it out, and get inspired. Enviromental Poll

Vertical Vivarium

Hello,  About two months ago I finished building my first vivarium. It's a monster at 5'wX2'hX2'd. It has a false-bottom, live plants, anoles, homemade irrigation system, appears cordless, made of 1/8th inch plexiglass and silicone sealed. Recently, it began to leak. The water pooled underneath the bottom panel and remained hidden until it seeped through the plywood it was resting on. I now have a series of buckets collecting constant drips underneath this thing. If I'm going to go through the trouble of emptying the tank and fixing the seal I might as well redesign it so this problem doesn't happen again.  I'd like to make more of a vertical vivarium since I am housing green anoles and they love having height. I'm thinking of recycling as much wood and plexiglass as possible; however, I'd like to avoid as much DIY sealing as possible. I'd like to have either sliding plexiglass doors, plexiglass doors on hinges, or a plexiglass panel held in place by magnets on the front. To fill the vertical space I'd like to have a living wall type plan. If anyone has any tips, guides, or advice for: the front doors, living walls, improving the bottom, or improving the false-bottom, it would be much appreciated.

Over the years I've done a lot of things that didn't work out well, and I try learn something from them  hoping to avoid similar problems in the future. I think ibles  needs a place to share these 'educational moments'  to help others avoid pitfalls and to console with laughter anyone who is sitting amidst the ruins of their own project.   So here's the  place to share.    I'll go first........... My first dramatic failure at about age 8 - Gluing glitter onto balloons. Not a good idea. The glue popped the balloon (I think it was 'airplane glue' ) The result was glue and glitter everywhere (including in my eyes) and a lot of unhappiness. Then there was the hot glue surprise -  Using a glue gun to close drip irrigation holes in a garden hose.  It plugged the holes and worked just fine in the overcast cool spring weather. Then a rare sunny day  heated the hose, and all those plugs melted and the holes started jetting water.  I hadn't realized how hot a green hose in the sun could get. And I have made some just plain stupid moves - like spending hours pulling all the shreds of paper out of the toothed wheels on the paper shredder.... you know how they get sucked inside.  After getting it all clear I thought I might as well lubricate the thing with spray silicon stuff.  So far so good. And then I was so excited to see how it much better it would work, I turned it on.  Flash of flame, slightly singed eyebrows, and a TOTALLY dead smoking shredder.  Ummm.... it's really worthwhile to let solvents totally evaporate before turning on electrical things.

Your thoughts on "UFO's", strange things and the unknown

Don't take what comes below too serious please ;) I thought for the start of the new year it would be fun to talk about things we take for granted or that we would call nonsense. You know topis like those provided by Erich Däniken and other that think outside the conventional archiological range. Modern science has provided us with new insights into very old stuff but also a new look on things we thought to know better anyway. Here is some food for thought: 1. India... In this beautiful and old country it was discovered that hundreds if not over 2000 years ago people used lathe technology on stones. For example to make pillars with a weight over a few tons... Chains were created from molten rock and in many areas you find polished stone that even after hundreds of years still has a mirror finnish. Some of these creations are claimed to be made with hammer and chisel but how do you get a displayed accuracy that even modern technology struggles to provide? I don't want to clutter everything with video links but check Youtube and you will find temples in India showing musical granite pillars and chambers carved into solid rock with a precision that seems impossible! If that long ago human knd already knew about gear systems and lathe technology, then what else have we lost over time that we now claim as new technologies? How could anyone polish an entire granite hall and a big one that is to a mirror finnish? 2. Peru... Apart from being full of archeological wonders there is also the impossible to be found. The Nazca region shows, in aerial views, kilometer long and perfectly straight lines. In other regions, also in other continents, we can see images of strange people or artwork - again only from high above ground level. Some of the artwork is only in correct proportions and with proper contours if watched from a very specific angle to the mountain in question. The kilometer long lines are not simply on standard mountain faces but instead on top of mountain that have the top removed to be perfectly flat. And even with a lot of posible options to interpret the lines they look like any other huge, modern airport landing strips - including runways and tracks to areas we would call terminals or service bays. You can ignore all possible ways to interpret the design and possible use, what you can't ignore is the missing mountain top and level of accuracy on such a massive scale! 3. Pyramids... On all continents except Australia we find pyramid structures with very similar features in terms of proportions, angles and the way the face in a certain direction. In Egypt they just recently found another hidden chamber... Tunnels, too small for a human to fit point to stars and star signs. Some of the tools used to create were found with the help of small robots but also that some seem to be quite modern in age. Did grave robbers use them at a time were it is beleived that such tools were impossible to create? Or could they be as old as the pyramids itself? In south america we find pyramid structures looking quite similar to those in Egypt - why so similar in features and appearance if there was no contact between the two civilisations? To make things worse some of the Inca structures show tunnel and channel systems "leading" to the pyramid in question. Classic thought is that they were like tunnels to direct water or provide access in the beleive the jungle was not removed to hide the complex. Makes no sense if you see the city like areas that are now exposed and studied. I mean: how would created a city in the jungle without removing the trees?? What could make you wonder is a simulation that was performed several years ago. Based on a computer model in 3D different theories were tested. Irrigation was ruled out quickly, same for access routes or secret tunnels for the priests. One funny student got bored and decided to play god. Assuming the Inca priests would call their gods in the sky temple to provide rain he let a monsoon go down on the pyramid. The result was unexpected so he showed the results to his companions and they did the same test agin but simulated a massive airflow going down directly on the pyramid. Turned out the flow would be directed away under ground with more efficiency than systems Nasa uses today for rockets and space shuttles... Mind you the tunnels are far from straight and without this simulation it was trusted that they could not do this stuff... We now have rocket technology that uses surface direction and vector control. The square and flat designs leave a void insight that pretty much perferctly match the angles of those inca pyramids? Apart from pure coincidence, what could be the reason for this match in shape and angle with a tunnel system perfect to remove hot engine gasses? Ok, I admit, not all continents, the pyramids in Bosnia are just a hoax, so Europe is out of the race ;) Sorry Semir :) 4. Artwork... Be it here in Australia, the African desert or America - we find images of mystical people or rulers that could make you wonder. Again modern tech in the form color filtering, desitity readings and 3D scanning provided us details unseen before. If you think of gods in very ancient times and try to imagine you would be a native: What do think how many different images of their god could 100 people imagine? Let's agree it would be plenty... But if we study artwork in caves and rocks from around the world we find similarities that IMHO can't be explained. Many show features that, compared with modern technology, could be mistaken for helmets, gloves or even manual control systems. Others show things thought to be as simple as pine cones to resemble modern milling or finnishing tools. Again only possible by enhancing details the naked eye won't see. With no contact to each other and often thausand of years apart: What could the reason for having images of their gods show very similar and sometimes identical "features" ? 5. UFO technology and sightings... Some people love to post videos of secret weapons and UFO's that are simple rocket launches at a perfect time and with perfect weather conditions to attract attention. But what about the things we don't get to see? Just recently the US finally admitted to have a program to investigate what we might call "UFO activity", quite costly one too... This means a lot of leaked videos from fighter planes or spy planes you find on the net are actually the real deal. Often "enhanced" with editing tools but authentic ones have been released by the military and other organisations now too. If it happens over US ground and no US organisations admits to be flying the things we see than what it is? Right, it is a UFO - An Unidentified Flying Object! Does not mean it is alien, despite far too many people thinking an UFO must be alien :( UFO means just that! At the time of seeing it the ones seeing it can not identify the craft or "thing". And, no you are not alone! ;) Happens in all parts of the world and even commercial pilots upload what they can't explain. Oh, you are still a sceptic? Does that mean you think some of these sightings must be alien or do think someone down here uses technology we are not supposed to know of? If you are like me you might like to relax watching the live feed from the ISS. In case you are not try it anyway! Every noticed that that despite the stations own speed "forgeign" objects appear to come towards the station or even to grow in size very quickly? If so you also noticed another very strange thing... No matter what happens up there the stream keeps playing, even at times when the station is moved around a bit to avoid a possible hit with debris. But every single time something appears to move around the ISS or come close to it the feed cuts out. Ok, not every time, for well known stuff orbiting around like satellites, other stations, rocket lauchnes or supply flights they stay on. So, what are those flying objects changing course and direction or even circling the station? Why does the live feed cut out once an object is identified to be unidentified? 6. Roswell technology boom... Some think the US did take ownership of an alien craft, you know the stories and movies I mean... So called eye witness reports and some leaked documents all claim certain unknown technology in great detail. Anything from fibre optics and microchips, over "intelligent metals" to light enhancing glass lenses and seemingly indestructable fibres... Some say that if we would had the option to copy and understand the technology to copy it (without knowing anything about it of course) then the tech boom of the 60' would have been instantly. Imagine flat screen TV's and smartphones with GPS 50 years ago for everyone... ;) 7. Great land in the south - Antartica... The mysteries originating from Antartica range from Atlantis over hidden civilisations and living dinosaurs to the often claimed secret Nazi base with submarines and lost technologies. We all know that life as we know it can't really exists down there, so no strange animals, ancient creatures or a possibility to sustain a secret military base some 60 years ago. Or it there more to it?? Warm lakes containing fresh water with signs of life in them have already been discovered. Same for caves under the ice with temperatures far above freezing - constantly and again with signs of life. Ages ago the continent was still joint with other and in a warmer region so no wonder to find fossils. If we already found places that sustained life for thausands of years then what living things might be down there? Maybe even a place like the Galapagos Islands but for life thought be extinct - imagine Jurassic Park for real under the ice ;) With thriving life, vulcanos, rivers, lakes and all long before the dinosaurs it is not hard to imagine the remains under the ice and carved into the mountains. In todays times it all covered by ice and the sea level is much much higher, so again not hard to imagine that there might be rivers running off under the ice and into the ocean. Some maybe even connected to lakes in a hot spot sustaining life. A secret base from some secret part of the Nazi regime over 60 years ago?? Well, with all we know today about Antartica and is also known about the technological options available at that time it is possible. A submarine could have operated for days or even a few weeks under the ice with support ships available. Not just with so called secret tech but simply with a big sub on a minimum crew and the support of crude ways to reclaim and produce oxygen. If an entrance to a river leading to a suistainable area exists or existed at that time it would have been just a matter of time and endurance to find it. Of course we can't know if it was already found and removed or used since those with capable submarines and technology these days would not talk about it ;) But private or non government explorations map and drill more than ever, so once they hit "restricted areas" or create their own base and research station under the ice we will know ;) What to do if you actually see (or think you do) a real UFO?? Grab the oldest and dirtiest camera aou can find, mount it on the end of your longest fishing pole and create the shakiest video possible. And please make no references at all that would allow to get on the loctation, time or date. Jokes aside there is a good option these days, your modern smartphone, telescope, GoPro or favourite drone. A fake is often uploaded in very bad resolution often so low you might think an old webcam was used. Good fakes are often just a rocket launch, so check for this before you claim it is of unknown origins. Modern tech allows us to record a video in 4K at 60 or even 120FPS , so no excuse for a 320x240 AVI video LOL Optical zoom causes bad results so try to avoid it if possible. Image stabilisation can do wonders for free hand shots of moving objects, so crank it to the max even if the resulting video is a bit smaller in resolution. Geotagging is also a good thing as it allows an easy reference. You might see much more with you eye than what the video show, or in the best case the other way around. That means before you upload take a step back and try too see the video like someone who was not there when it happened! Are the movements reall that impossible? Is it really not just a plane, rocket flares? What sounds did you hear at the time or shortly after that might not be audible in the video? Sometimes a plane in the distance still is in the sunlight while you already stand in the dark - keep elevation in mind ;) Compare with other videos online that claim to be taken around the same time and area - sure you did not film a rocket launch? But if your video is crystal clear and shows the impossible in great detail you might want to check for the usual markings on military aircrafts or flashing lights in green and red. Still all good and impossible to explain? Then what are you waiting for? Tell us where, when and with what type of gear and upload the video so we get evidence of unknown technologies in the use/testing or an actual UFO - Unidentified flying object, until we know better. ;) Again don't take me too serious today but enjoy some of the thoughts and let your imagination wander off a bit. Lost technologies and knowlege exists, existed, is found again - whatever you want to call it. If humans could move stone blocks the size of a small house and create them with an accuracy down to the mm then they might have known more than we think they did. If we could melt granite to form new things, manipulate its sound or carve hollow heads of just a few mm in size then again we lost something well worth knowing. If in ancient times people had no way of seeing really distant and dim stars then how were they able to accurately map them and predict their movement? If milling and lathe technology was known and used when in other parts of the world we were happy to create simple and weak tools: How was it possible to create gears and know about planetary gear systems? If the evidence of the work clearly shows advance technologies used then where are the tools used and why can we find any written records or images of it being used? If even the all mighty US military, secret agencies and space programs fail to explain what they encounter quite often since we fly around: What is really that seems to try to hide from us while appearing to watch how we evolve, explore and fight wars? Since you still bother to read all this nonsense: If it appears we have "evidence" of the existance of beings capable of flying or even space travel since the dawn of time and add all the modern evidence: Is it possible someone or something has been watching us since humans came to be? Did "they" guide some cultures at some stage during their evolution to show us modern ways of creating alloys, machine stuff or understand what was magic or the gods at that time? And if they did help our evolution in some parts then why did this greatly improved society disappear with no more trace than their stone remains? How would we react if they dare to help us again? Is there a reason that even after countless encounters noone tried to shoot one of the UFO's down? I mean, not even a claim for trying since Rosswell..... Not any evidence of a recent landing either..... Or are we just watched so closely because they want something back we too from them??? ;) I blame all spelling mistakes on my annoyingly unresponsive keyboard. But if you still find some then feel free to keep them! I still demand a fee if use them to make money from them ;)
