How can i see if my tv NTSC compatible is Without having to buy like a U.S movie/game ??? My tv is a teco TA3296RV

Hi everyone, I know I bring a lot of questions and I don't post a lot of instructables (actually 0), but I'm looking for a very cheap (or even free) NTSC Viewfinder for a night vision goggle project , I've found viewfinder on DealExtreme , but it looks like it's not NTSC and it was expansive (from 30$) ... Even a black&white; one will do the job. Thank you for reading

Hey, Im a noob to instructibles, but was wondering if anyone could tell me how I could get a TV or CRT, LCD, or OLED, to display a Sine wave, I want it to look like an oscilloscope but I dO NOT need a functioning scope, just want a display with the cool graphic for prop/filming purposes. It would be really helpful if it could just be a circuit which outputs an NTSC signal that is a sine wave, thanks in advance inventors of the world! Ultimately I would like to have a scope-like display that responds in appearance like a VU meter where you can see the sound as a voice waveform based on volume/pitch etc.

For video diagnostics, a wave-form monitor and a pulse-cross monitor are highly useful tools. Is there a simple way to convert a standard video monitor into a pulse-cross (sometimes called a cross-pulse) monitor? I.e., feed the signal into a box and the box feeds into a standard video monitor and you can see the normally invisible image corners and invisible vertical interval of the video. I think this can be a simple electronics diagram. Thanks for any help!

I salvaged a Sharp LZ23H3V CCD chip from an rather old Kodak digital camera. I have looked at the datasheet for the part, and I am completely clueless on how to drive this thing so it would output an NTSC signal. Anyone got any suggestions on a driver circut?

Sony Handycam DCR-TRV280 NTSC Error message: "reinsert the cassette" Ok, I remove and reinsert it.... Same error message. So, I google and get this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4K0SpC9Ris I don't really understand which pin they refer to removing and cleaning, so I try solution 2-remove battery for a while. It works for a short time, but the battery removal solution no longer works. Suggestions?

Hi guys,I am making a video transmitter from scratch. The schematic I am using says "NTSC input". What connection would that be? I was hoping I could use a USB web cam for the camera. But I do not know where the pins would connect on the USB port... I wonder if I need to use my digital camera, with the video cord connected to a jack on the board. Thanks in advance, for any help.?

Apart from a VGA plug, my computer screen has a bunch of plugs. One of these is supposed to be a composite video port, but none of my cables fit. Do I need to splice some wires or just move 5 feet to my TV? (also, I'm not sure if it's PAL or NTSC. or if this would matter.) If I have to replace the plug on the screen, that's not a problem. link to screen page [EDIT] I made a butt-ugly adapter for the composite port, no luck there. Another Edit V=Vertical, not video

I make a lot of videos with adobe's flash CS Series however, I'd like to convert and encode them to any video file that exists including SWF and MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MPEG-1 and the High Definition MPEG-5 also including many more video files and encoding such as FLV (Adobe Flash Video). it comes with encoding like AVC and VC-1 also with region types PAL and NTSC. it can also let you edit how big the video file should be (For if it gets burnt onto a DVD or USB or Hard Drive). is there any freeware or GPL software that can do this?

I was wondering if any had any advice/sources on how to get an older model/used projector. I am using it to mod a big screen to keep using the large screen without the expensive and near-impossible job of fixing the inside circuitry. I am not too concerned with HD capability, since I will only be using it to play old video game systems (non-HD), so all I really need is Red/White/Yellow A/V input and a resolution of 640x480 max. It has to be NTSC compliant, so somewhere in the US or Canada would probably be my only choices. If anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated!

Hi all, (and particularly mods if they're reading), I'm a fairly new non-US member to the site, and whilst I love that you open up many of your contests to the whole globe, I was wondering what steps you take (if any) to ensure your top prizes prizes such as Xboxes, iPads, tools, kitchenware etc are as accessible to those of us in different countries. This is particularly relevant for games consoles etc where chips can be different, games can be region encoded and TVs may not be able to display NTSC, but it does apply to anything that gets plugged in. Yes, I'm aware of voltage converters and plug adapters, but I've had mixed results with these over the years. So I was wondering: If one is lucky enough to get such an awesome prize - if there is an option to get the goods from the home country? If so - can this please be added to the standard comp info / rules page? If not, would instructables be willing to look into this, or possibly voucher alternatives against the product? Many thanks for reading!
