Ok im making a k nex bb gun that fires well.. bbs i just want to know if any other person tried using a rotery clip (like a revevolver and posted here if they havent im gonna make one right now (ill make one either way)

I just discovered that the K-nex like building set I have isn't K-nex!  The pieces I have are larger and are made of a softer material.  They work well for children in the 2-5 yo range.  Would anyone know what these pieces are called?   The 1000 pieces of K-nex are going to have to wait a few years..... Hey, ages ago i made a k'nex shotgun but took it apart, does anyone know if the instructable was removed, or if they know which one im on about could they post a link? all i can remember was that it had a sort of magazene at the end, was fired using a firing pin mechanism, and fired 2 blue rods at a time thanks.

Knex viking war ship, the historic art of Knex. Well, to be honest, I don't really know where I came up with this idea, but it came to me in a flash. I am trying to make a pump action k'nex gun but my magisine doesnt run smothley. I want it to be a dropdown mag with a resenanable amount of shots. also i want to be able to remove it so i can reload quickley & change the magisine. when i finish i will try to post instructions so the person who came up with the mag can use the gun also!

Lets start of by singing a song, made by Logic boy :-) Rudolph, the red-turreted knexsayer had a very shiny turret.  And if you ever saw it,  you would even say it was awsome.  All of the other knex guns  used to laugh and call it names.  They never let poor Rudolph  join in any knex wars.  Then one foggy Christmas Eve  Mepain came to say:  "Rudolph with your Turret so bright,  won't you be my primary tonight?"  Then all the knex guns loved him  as they shot out with glee,  Rudolph the red-turreted knexsayer,  you'll go down in history!     Well, that was completely random... but I bet you are singing it in your head right at this very moment though! Hehe :-) Anyway, I only made this because I was bored, cya!

Hello Guys, Not been on this website in around 2 years or so, seen a few emails and thought I would call in and see what innovation + time has brought to k'nex, and I must say I've seen quite a few bits I like. It definitely got my very creative mind turning, sadly I just don't have the time to build anything, but I thought you may want a little catch up on what I've been doing and simply I've secured a position in a line of engineering which I really do enjoy as it gets my creative mind flowing, I also have a computer 'hobby' as you could say, building custom computers etc... and I have a hobby in carpentry making furniture of useful items. I think its safe to say I haven't lost the creative spirit and as long as you stick with your skills you will be able to do similar things all your life. I would like to also add on the end anyone who is looking to purchase some k'nex let me know I still have around 5-6 thousand pieces remaining which I would like to get rid of... so anyways ill leave this story here and hope to talk to some of you again. :)

(Sorry for the blurry pictures, it's not very easy to aim a camera that's part of your watch.) Not technically a crossbow, but it's based off the Heavy Crossbow's barrel and trigger. This is not your secondary war weapon. Nor is it your primary. This is your "I'M GONNA FREAKING KILL YOU FOR WHAT YOU JUST DID" gun. It moves a red rod with a grey on one end and a red with a green rod on the other faster than my eye can follow. It doesn't have particularly long range as far as I can tell, but that's because my room isn't very long. It did, however, put a good size dent into what is for other things a nigh-indestructible door with the lightest ammo that it can fire.  I'll post this if enough people want it, which I place at about three for a slideshow showing how the insides work and six for an actual 'ible. Please note that this thing is too complicated to build from the pictures due to the casing of the mechs and the unique way the barrel is made. EDIT Posting tomorrow, have pics. Also has a just-implemented third firing mode, "booby trap", which holds the front trigger at its extreme forward and when the pin is pulled allows the trigger to shoot backward, firing the gun. Basically a game breaker, because it'll end up shooting them in the soft part of their side if it's at a proper height to be set off by walking.

This is the current version of my semi automatic K'nex gun. I probably won't change much unless I run into a big problem. The only real problem now is that the magazine isn't perfect, but that's pretty hard anyway. It works like the prototype I posted a topic about a few days ago ( I deleted that, didn't want 2 topics on the same gun ) So that means by clipping the trigger onto the firing pin. When you pull the trigger it pulls the pin back and then lets go near the end of it's travel distance. Then the trigger shoots back into place again ( if you let it shoot, you can't keep your finger on the trigger at all times ). The only thing about this that I copied 100% is Perfect Duck's handle. I'm really lazy with handles, so credit for that goes to him. I also used decapitated grey connectors in the barrel like on his guns. It shoots blue rods.I can put at least 2 thick rubberbands on it ( I only have 2 left, don't know exactly how much power it can take ), so it can support quite some power. It won't shoot very far because of the friction though. But I think it's respectable considering it's a semi-auto. P.S. I know the picture is bad, I always tend to build these things in the evening so the lighting is pretty bad when I take a pic.

Well I'm looking around but I really don't have the time or the patience to continue. I have homework to get to so I'm hoping you guys can find me some good deals on K'nex. I'm looking for something that -Is no more than $60 or so. I really don't feel like spending a lot. I don't plan on starting up a huge stockpile. I simply want enough to build practical weapons and maybe two smaller weapons at  time. -Contains some black/clear rods. I only have one clear rod. I had another but I lost it.  -Has some exotics. I don't care if I only get like 2 of each but I'd love some more hinges and ball joints. Some more black Ys wouldn't hurt either. Small wheels would be a nice addition but I don't require them. Some blue caps would also be lovely. Small bendies are nice too. -Obviously I'd like a nice mix of normal pieces. Green and white rods, and yellow connectors are my main concern though. I could use more of everything but those three are probably the most used in the majority of weapons. They're usually the only pieces I run out of. Metallics would be nice though I don't care what colors they are -Finally, I don't want bricks or minis. Almost every set in town is half bricks and/or minis and I don't feel like paying extra for those. If some are included, fine as long as I get a what would be a good deal without them. If I finally get some more pieces, I'll be able to build guns made by others and start some new projects. I've been looking forward to reviewing guns in a strict manner.

So, basically, I have made a new K'nex gun series. I have decided to post pictures of failed NG guns, and you guys can see if it's fixable. Also, this forum will hold all requested internals, a complete strip-down of every gun, (from V3 on up), and possibly reviews of each future NG gun. But I am unable to find anything within my price range.   IF there is anyone out there willing to part with their set for cheap, I would really appreciate letting me know. It isn't for me exactly,  it will be for someone I know, who I am SURE would love to build all kinds of things with them; she has AS and is very bright for her age. Okay to start this off I'll begin on telling you how close i was to quitting "k'nex", so anyways when I almost quit "k'nex" i got into war games, like Call Of Duty and Battlefield Bad Company, mostly B.B.C though, so as i collected more guns thought B.B.C I thought to myself, I should keep my k'nex and build some replicas, but then again i thought psssht I'm not any good at building guns, so what I want you people of Instructables to do is to find me the best of the best replicas for me to build, and thank you in advance.

Hello fellow knexers! There are many cool guns out there but there is no revolvers. Everybody loves revolvers. Yes i know There are guns that are considerd "revolvers" but none are true. That's why i created this challenge. Rules are # Must look like a revolver. ( chamber, barrel, handle, etc.) For the chamber i suggest using a silver spacer chamber. # Must have a true trigger # Must be self revolving. There is no prize for the winners just a fun challenge for a time spender. Please leave links on my orange board orangeboard or the space for comments on the form. Cool guns to check out: The Jamalam's battle rifle. Why should I? Do you want a k'nex gun that has an awesome hold, great distance, cool magazine, and working bolt? Well if you do, The Jamalam's assault rifle is perfect. Another one, is the SR-V1 by killer-k. This gun has intricate slingshot design, and very powerful range. This is definitely recommended in a k'nex battle along with all the others. I mean come on! It looks like a sniper (duh!), feels like a sniper and shoots like one too! Also, another one is Gorkem's sniper rifle. It is a awesome, sturdy, powerful choice. It is an awesome sniper. I love it, and it is filled with cool features like, a great stock, a ridiculously cool barrel, and an awesome loading system. A cool one is the fn-scar k'nex gun. It has good ratings, a cool gun, a nice system, and overall good and reliable. Last but not least everyone please watch my crome eagle rifle slideshow and say to post or not. Just type in: Crome Eagle k'nex gun slide show. I give credits to all of the guns I mentioned and am a big fan of them, well... bye!

Don't you agree Knex is just a phase. Its like when most people come on Instructables, the majority of the younger half of the community on here come across the site because of K'nex Guns. I'm not saying thats a bad thing, but you will eventually get bored of homemade guns that are made of plastic that shoot about 60 feet max. Trust me anyone saying that their/ or a particular model can shoot ranges of up to 200 or 300 feet is BullSh*ting. And also the originality of the guns posted on this site is terrible. You will get like the same type of gun or mechanism or whatever, posted more than a hundred times. However there are some "original" K'nex models or guns that get uploaded onto Instructables , and for the very few that do I praise the designers! Also I find the majority of the knex "clan" have appalling spelling. I mean for God Sakes there is a SpellChecker! The Knexers on this site either grow out of knex and move on to the better builds, or just stop using this site all together. There are very few "older ones" that stay and do knex. Anyway there's my 2 cents. The K'nex Clan is dying. I assure you, you will grow out of knex! I have and yay! I have become a "normie". There are many other great builds on instructables to enjoy.
