Why can't I see the extra pictures on each page. I get the main picture but if there are extra ones underneath that picture, when I click on them, they do not show up. Is this because I am a free member?

Last time I added pictures to an 'ible I'm still writing, I put comments on the pictures, but the yellow boxes don't stay in the same place if I comment more than one picture - every time I look back at what I've done, the boxes have moved! Saving the instructable is unpredictable in terms of where the comment boxes will end up.

Hey, I'm trying to make my 2nd instructable but i am having a HUGE picture problem. I loaded all my pics into my library, and when i click and drag them into the image slot, they stay there. I can even write captions for them. The problem comes, when i want to save. I have tried saving and previewing, and saving and going to the next step. It seems that my images get deleted every time i go to a different page. Please help

When I try to click on a photo after the first people provide to show the steps, it continues to show the first photo and none of the ones I click. It's almost like a broken link but it has to do with a setting on my computer and have tried to fix it but can't figure it out. I'm running a windows 7 machine and Firefox 9.0.1.

This is a forum where you can poste any kind of picture you want, but only text pictures! The reason I created this forum is because I really think these text pictures are interesting. Anything is ok, nothing is bad, and throw everything you got at this forum. Thanks! :)

Alright so evidently the buttons to view next / previous pictures have been enlarged, not that big a change but it does screw up some of my work; with some of my ibles I use a small comment box to indicate what number picture is being viewed. Now these comments fall beneath the previouse / next buttons so you cannot hover(mouseover) to view the text....... if you cant refer to a picture number it gets confusing rather quicky when confronted with large amounts of text. if any solution can be given other than redoing all the comments please help!!

It seems I cannot change the pictures on Instructables. I am running windows xp pro Service pack 3 on a fairly powerful Machine. I am running Firefox 9.0.1 with the latest versions of all major plugins (flash, java, wmp, vlc, etc...). However when I go onto any instructable, it seems I cannot change the pictures by clicking on the thumbnails... Tried it on about 50 different instructables, all have the same problem, tried everything i could think of to fix (disabling all extensions, restarting browser, restarting computer) EDIT: Seems only to affect Firefox, other browsers are working fine...

I am about to submit an instructable and would like to add notes to my pictures but it never saves the note. Everything seems to work fine (I can draw the box and add the note) until I hit save. When I hit save the dial indicator just spins and nothing happens. I can walk away from my computer for 20 minues and when I get back it will still be spinning trying to save the note. I thought it might be my connection from home, but I have since tried it on my computer at work with the same result. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance.

I was just watching the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup (woo), and my dad turned on picture in picture so we could see what another channel was broadcasting, but as a default it started on the same channel. The weird thing was the picture in picture was a full 1-2 seconds ahead (the audio was synched correctly with the main picture). It's an HDTV connected to a cable box. This is pretty much the least important question ever, but I found it weird and wondered if anyone had any ideas.

So I was given these really cool, very colorful tree bark paintings that I cannot wait to get up on the walls! They have lots of funky neon colors and designs with edges that aren't even which gives them a lot of character! The only thing though I don't want to put holes in them and stick them on the wall like that. I bought a regular picture frame just to see how it would look. Doesn't really work. There's space between the edge of the picture and the picture frame and just takes away the natural feel to it. I've been wanting to make picture frames out of sticks or something but just can't figure out how to make them "trap" the picture. Not really looking to have glass in front of it either. Any wear on them would just make them look more natural. Maybe I should seal them so they don't fade if I don't want glass in front of it.... Hmm.... Anywho, if anyone has any suggestions, they are all greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I've been finding that in some instructables some of the pictures won't accept a click and display. I'm starting to think that this is due to having the same picture more than once in a single step, like in this one (2nd and 17th picture in the intro). I think I had seen this problem with Firefox 2 and definitely see it with FF3. This doesn't affect only the doubled image either, other images are bothered by this bug.

I am trying to find instructions for making sand and water pictures where a mixture of sand water and air are trapped between two pieces of glass. By turning the picture upside down the sand, restricted by the air bubbles will produce a unique "landscape" on each occasion. Any help would be much appreciated.

When I log in after clicking an image, I DON'T want to be taken to the "welcome username!" page, I want to STAY on the page I was at so I can see the picture that I logged into see. When I hit the back button on my browser to return to the actual Instructable, I go back to the not-logged in page. Then I hit refresh, and THEN I can see the picture. Is it not possible to just stay on the same page??

Have an older Toshiba 2595 lap top (don't even remember how I acquired it, blame that one on the “Old Timers Disease” that I have). I am going to build a Digital Picture Frame from it. When I acquired it there was no battery or power supply with it. While doing some repair work on a similar computer for a friend, I did power it up with his battery and installed Windows 98 SE on the hard drive, so I know the unit works. The HD is only a 6 Gig, but is big enough to hold a couple of hundred pictures and the software program “Slideshow” to rotate them. What I need to know is, will this work on the power supply only. Do I need to do anything with the battery connections? There are 10 pins where the battery went into the computer and I don’t have any idea of which ones did what. Does anyone know what rating of power supply is required for this unit. Could I use a generic power supply instead of having to purchase the exact one for this unit? Of course you know there will be another upcoming “instructable” of how to build a Digital Picture Frame. I will try and make mine a bit more entertaining and perhaps include some new idea about how to do this type of thing. Thanks Larystoy

Free picture-quiz! (Isn't this site great...?) Some of you will know this format, others will not. The pictures "spell-out" Instructables user names, either literally or with a bit of thinking. The first is me as an example, the other 10 are the ones I'd like to see a full set of answers for. While this is just for fun I'll patch whoever gets them any of them. While I don't expect people to do this, it would be preferable only to post answers to all10. So far: 1 Red KITE MAN tractor unit 2 ANGRY RED (Fraggle) HEAD (from Full Metal Jacket, where as Marines the toilets were referred to as "Heads" in line with marine terminology) 3 CAN IDA (an asteroid) 4 JAY (E) and Silent-Bob FU (U) Manchu as played by Boris Karloff 5 JESS (Postman Pat's cat) (Y) RAT Barton FINK 6 KENT (county) (S) OK (magazine) 7 (=) S & M ART Garfunkel (=) 8 GOO Tenacious D Tony HART 9 (THE) (Breakfast) BURRITO The MASTER (from Dr Who?, as played by Roger Delgado) 10 Mr BUMP US flag The winners being NachoMahma, Kiteman, n8man & Jayefuu L

When I started making my picture notes, it was fine. But after I got to the seventh one, I found a bug. If my note was longer than a certain amount of characters, it wouldn't function properly. I would see it right after I created it in the editor, but when I preview it, the note I just made is gone. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
