Hey All, I am currently working on a LiPo Battery Adjustable Voltage Battery Pack, that has a headphone amp and bluetooth transmitter built in. I want the user to be able to use any compatible BT Headphones or BT Receiver Dongle. It is for use with metal detectors.  Every time I Google Bluetooth Transmitter Module, I find a bunch. Upon closer inspection, I find they are all receivers (i.e. speaker left out, speaker right out). There are bluetooth dongles that plug into a 3.5mm jack and transmit, but there is a lag in the transmission that I believe stems from the module not being hardwired into the system. A lag in receiving the BEEP means the object is harder to pinpoint, more digging, bigger holes, and frustrated folks. Can anyone recommend a good available BT Transmitter Module that I can hardwire into my system as a test to see if the lag goes away? Any assistance y'all could give would be greatly appreciated! Most mosques in  durban , south africa transmit live trasmissions using fm transmitter. the previous transmitter was independent with its own pick up microphone. only needed to switch on transmitter and you could hear the talks on the fm receiver. most programs dont require use of amplifier . we updated and now the  new transmitter is connected to amplifier which is compulsory to switch on if you need to transmit . it is also a flat sound whereas the old trasmitter picked up a good echo sound. is there any device that the transmitter can be plugged into instead of the amplifier that has a pick up microphone.  thanks mahomed 

My wife has a real small FM transmitter that snaps on to her iPod and streams her music in stereo to her car speakers.  I only have the iPod nano which only has a headphone jack, it doesn't have the standard iPod connector. I was looking to see if there's an easy instructable that can make a nice sounding FM stereo transmitter.  The only thing I could find was this one: http://makeprojects.com/Project/Micro-FM-Transmitter/721/1  and I'm not sure it's transmits in stereo.  Pretty sure the one my wife has doesn't use the coil method either. Anyway, is there something else that I can be pointed to as a starting point?  I was thinking of maybe sticking the whole thing into a small altoids box and I can use it in my car.  I didn't know if that project is the only real one out there. any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hey guys i recently bought a maccally fm cup at walmart. it was on clearance for $7.50 so i got 2 incase i ever needed some spare parts on the cheap. so now i have this extra FM transmitter, and i would like some ideas as to what i could do with it. The best i have come up with so far is putting the whole thing in something else (like a project box) because my cupholder is not the best location for my ipod.

I wish to make an extremely small (size and part count) AM transmitter using only a few transistors and passive components. I wish to transmit an audible tone on a set frequency.I am thinking along the lines of a transistor flip-flop circuit oscillator, perhaps routed through another. It really needs to have less that five/six small components. DIP components are too big. Small electrolytic and other capacitors, transistors, and resistors are acceptable. Transmission distance needs to be at least 1/4 of a meter, but further is better. It needs to run on between 1.5 and 6 volts, low to middle'in milli-ampage im thinking watch batteries for a few hours at least. I can work out transistor loop timings and I understand how the Amplitude Modulation system works. Newbie here... greetings! I work in office building with about 20 guys, most heavy coffee drinkers... we have one-holer restroom which is located about 100 feet and around a corner from the area where the majority of the guys work. Needless to say 8 out of 10 times you make the journey to go to use the restroom, someone is in there with the door locked... leaving you constantly defeated and having to go badly.. I want to create a light or a signal viewable in our common room that would indicate when that bathroom is in use. There is one light switch in the bathroom which operates the overhead light and the fan... and the fan is extremely loud so we always turn the light off when exiting the bathroom.  So my thought is to add some sort of transmitter to the switch that when turned on would send a signal to a receiver down the hall in the common room and that receiver would turn on a small light somewhere in the room. The guy next to me has a nice lava lamp and has volunteered it's services as the bathroom indicator. I'm hoping to find a transmitter or replacement switch/transmitter combo that can be wired into the existing single switch box (no batteries to change). This is what I need help locating.  It would need to perform it's current duties.. turning on the light and fan, as well as send the "on" signal and "off" signal to the receiver 100 feet away.  I think the other solution would be to run a wire thru the ceiling from the switch, but was hoping to avoid that. I am an aspiring pilot and would like to build a Personal Locator Beacon. I want an arduino type setup that would take my GPS data and transmit it every few minutes for 5 or 10 miles (or more depending on the legality) to a receiver that displays my last known position, my distance away, and my direction (from the receiver). Is this possible? It would also be nice to transmit my position via Morse code too in case my receiver was broken or could not be found.

Is it better to use a diode for DSB SC modulation for good range ? or it's better to use npn transistor ?

 Hi, I am a very big noob to wiring. For a present, I wanted to make my cheap old AAA powered fm transmitter into a usb powered one.  Thinking I was so smart, I cut up an old usb cord and soldered the red to positive and black to negative. It worked great until it started melting the transmitter.  So I now I realize that usb is much more powerful than 2 AAAs.  heh heh. I found this: www.instructables.com/community/USB-to-Travel-Clock-Circuit-Help-/ but it's a bit over my head.  I'm assuming I need to get a capacitor or voltage divider but I could use a little help breaking it down into noob speak.  Plus the transmitter is a little thing, 2 inches, is there a smaller way of checking the voltage? I want to make a gadget which sends a few kb of data via infrared and also receives data via infrared with a timestamp. However, I am stuck as I have only used arduinos before and I have to design a circuitboard which I have never done before, with PIC microcontrollers (must be cheap ones). I need help a) choosing a microcontroller and b) assembling all the components into a circuitboard (ir transmitter, receiver, microusb port to transfer data to pc, battery). I am looking to have a Micro transmitter for an invisible fence made. This will need to trigger the invisible fence shock collar when it gets within 2 feet. I have a dog with a shock collar that attacks a smaller, older dog in the house. I want a transmitter that will fit on the collar of the smaller dog, run off of batteries with a LED to show it is powered on. I have an extra receiver to test with, and i can send photos of the transmitter and what information i have. Willing to pay COD for delivery.

I'm fairly new to ham radio but I saw this and thought maybe I could use a 7MHz oscillator and a large antenna to use as a ham radio transmitter. Is this possible? If not, what could I do/use on the cheap as a ham radio transmitter/transceiver? Thanks, fusorx

Hi I'm doing some experiments with an fm transmitter. Now, instead of transmitting and modulating audio, I wanna try to feed the base of transistor using a ramp generated by a NE555. I ended up with this schematic http://s30.postimg.org/pbe0oyu4x/base_sawtooth_modulation.png , would be ok to pass the signal on the base using a 220 ohm resistor and a 10nF capacitor? I suspect that I have to increase the value of the resistor R5. kind regards.

So i bought a rc heli from a thrift store and it turns on when the switch is flicked, but it came without the transmitter/controller for it, i checked the hobby shops and they said that they don't have any spares for it it says on a sticker that the heli is a 27MHz, so i was wondering, if i got a transmitter that was designed for helis and ran on the same frequency, in theory it'd work, right? can anyone lend me some advice?

Does anybody have any idea how to modify a car FM transmitter for an mp3 player so that it will transmit in frequencies other than the low and high extremes built into it? Also would it somehow be possible to make it transmit to all FM frequencies at the same time? If someone could help me out with this I would really appreciate it.

I have been working on a Ramsey TV transmitter since Christmas. the best i can get is very static gray/black picture with no sound. just dark static. I checked everything thousands of times. what can be the problem? could i have burnt up a component with my solder iron? i ended up broking the cheap plastic tuning tool that came with it by adjusting everything way too much.i can still tune it with my fingers and matches/toothpicks

I bought a FM transmitter for an ipod. I would like to boost the range of the device. (I know it is illegal but would like to get more range than 2 feet.) I think I need to build an external antenna but need to know where to hook it up to the thing. The transmitter I have is a ge FM transmitter for ipod.If anyone has done anything like this or have any useful links it would be great. I don't know anything about circuit making so help would be great on that as well.

I recently bought the C. Crane FM transmitter. I have not had much luck with it even after turning up the pot as described on the internet. However, I am not giving up yet. Below are some possible things that I have thought of to improve the sound quality of the radio at a distance from the transmitter. 1. run wire from the antenna of the FM transmitter to the ductwork in my house. I already tried this. I had better luck attaching the wire to the exterior of the ductwork in my basement rather than the interior of the ductwork. 2. create some sort of repeater(s) to get around walls. This device would have to be a receiver/transmitter. 3. create my own FM transmitter with the best parts that I can find. 4. Use a homeplug system. Your suggestions are much appreciated. I don't know a darn thing about electronics so if you have any recommendations for good books that would be nice.

Hello I am new with ultrasonic sensor related works. This time i am going to use ultrasonic transducers which are not ultrasonic sensors(with board module) that people use. I have there transducers named v33an16t and arduino uno module. So i need a proper circuit to connect these transmitters to the arduino module.I can find many circuits from google but i need the proper one to save my time.Because my purpose is to design machine learning method using the transmitters. And the reason why i did not buy ultrasonic module is that i would increase the number of transmitters like an array. Also shape of the array may be changed depending on my research.So to save my time by avoiding building various of circuits i need your help to build the proper circuit.I appreciate any comment.

Hi folks,  So I am in the process of getting an electrical device made (a people counter) and I would like to know what you think the best way of transferring the count data from the device (that will be in the doorway) back to our online dashboard is? Do I just need to integrate a wireless transmitter into the device which can then be added/paired to the network by the venue owner/manager? Or perhaps I also need to provide a wireless receiver that plugs into the wall?  Once the data has gone from the device to the venue wireless, how does it then get back to our servers and into the venue online dashboard?  Thanks! I'm trying to build a guidance system for RC airplanes and drones. This should work by sending different IR signals to different locations in the air, so the drone will pick up signals specific to one location, enabling it to know where it is. (Like a mini, simplistic VOR, if you know about aviation) I'll probably use an Arduino on the ground with the transmitter, and a Raspberry pi onboard the airplane. I would like the IR signals to reach as far as possible, so does any one know of any small, high power IR LEDs? Also, if you have a good idea on how the signals could be accurately focused, so they line up next to each other without over lapping, let me know.Thanks!

This is what I would like to have made. I see these in spy websites for cheap. I don't want to spy on anyone but need for for another reason. Can anyone here on this site point me in the right direction. It's a short range FM Transmitter that has a built in voice recorder for up to 4 minutes made. The recorder would have a simple button that you would press to record with a built-in mic and small speaker for playback. The recording when transmitting would loop forever. The unit would be powered by a small battery and solar panel or just solar panel if that would work both indoors and out. The unit would only have to transmit during daytime hours. I would need the FM Transmitter to transmit no more than 100 feet and to meet FCC for USA. The transmission would need to be a very clear transmission because it is going to be used for advertising. I had made a FM transmitter using IC NE555. When i power the circuit with 9V battery,the transmitted audio is clearly received in my radio receiver.The problem is the battery will soon drain out and also as the battery starts to drain the transmitted frequency changes without my knowledge.So as the battery voltage decreases the frequency is also changing.To eliminate this problem i used transformer powered source with 9V Regulator 7809.When i power the circuit with transformer the received audio signal on my radio receiver has so much of noise added.The audio quality which i transmitted is completely lost.Anyone Help me to resolve this problem.

Hi !  I'm working on a Tech Project and I need a wireless video transmitter.  A webcam or any video camera provides a video stream, my computer receives it.  I've searched on the Internet but I've only found shopping solutions.  There are different way of transmitting which seem to be efficient :  - IP - Wifi  I want to make it by myself => build the transmitter and the receiver, connect the transmitter to the video camera, connect the receiver to the computer to collect the video stream. This is a project for my engineering school. Is it possible and affordable for 100€ ?  What do I need ?  Thanks

I am unsure what to plug into where. The receiver has three pins per channel: positive, ground and signal. Does anyone know how I should set this up?

I have recently built a dock for my HTC touch for use in my car. The dock is basically a holder with a cheap FM transmitter in the back. The FM Transmitter and cell phone are connected in parallel to a 5 volt USB car charger. For some reason, the FM transmitter is picking up noise from the cell phone. It is digital noise, different frequencies and beeps that vary depending on what I am doing on the phone. The noise is very quiet, but still there. Is there any simple solution to filtering out this noise? Will a simple capacitor do? Thanks Andrew

I have a few questions regarding the data rate of normal RC transmitters. Roughly how often does the processor in the transmitter scan the inputs? Each individual channel only operates at around 50/60 Hz, can this easily be increased? I've heard that there are digital servos operating on a frequency significantly higher than 60Hz, do they still operate on the same 60 Hz input? How noticeable would a refresh rate of 5Hz be in the position of the servo when it is in use on a performance model (i'm told that a program the executes in 1/10th of a second appears instantaneous)? Can a 100% duty cycle pulse be supplied to a servo to make it move faster, if the correct position signal is supplied when it reaches the right place? Thanks for any replies. Hi all, Here I have a small and simple FM transmitter based on a simple transistor oscillator, however, due its simplicity, is weak for my needs: I need to transmit the signal to a distance of about 33 feet. Notice that I will use the transmitter in a rural location and around the building there are no other houses, so I will avoid the risk to cause interferences to other people. Well, so I was thinking to implement an amplification stage, after the transmitter, and I ended up with the following schematic: http://s23.postimg.org/5o8kycjrv/Oscillator_and_Amplifier.png On the base of Q1 I have a female jack where i get the audio signal from an MP3 player. However I have some doubts about resistors values for the amp stage: these values seems too much great to me: I get the Transistor values (BFR36) from the datasheet: http://www15.zippyshare.com/d/nmSyQm6e/625003/BFR36.pdf and I calculated the values here http://www.vk2zay.net/calculators/transistors/bjtBiasing.php (choosing "desing given emitter voltage") The power supply, as shown in the schematic will be equal to 12 V DC. But as I've said I'm not very convinced of resistors values for the amp stage, which seems too much greats. On the other hand, due to the fact that the amp stage is an emitter follower, it will just amplify the current and not the voltage: would be able to give a decent boost on the signal output? What I can expect? Thanks.

I need a small compact and light video transmitter, but i dont want to empty my wallot... because i need to buy a ,motorbike, anyway, is it possible to build a simple ish one, that sends video and audio, or just video i dont really mind about the audio, but not very complicated? i just need a range of ~60 metres... thanks
