Greetings, this is one of the first forums that i will post. I have become egrossed in forza 3 and am wondering if a way exists to change digital controlls to analog to get better realism from the game. I am probably nuking this but i would have fun with a hand brake(A button) and clutch(L BUMPER) that were moderatable like the gas and brake. If another topic like this exists please direct me to it so i will stop wasting webspace. so far i have not found anything. thanks for your ideas and input.

Is it possible to make a 360 controller and create a vision controlled (right) c-stick that I can use to aim at something simply by looking at it on the screen? Is this similar to what paralytics use to communicate? Is there any way that I could use that technolgy to OWN my cousin at Halo?

SO im getting a new slim 360 soon and i want to mod my current one. Is there any way to J-tag it since it has the 12xxxx series dash (something like that). I really dont want to fork out all that cash for a mod chip for RGH. Is there any way I can use traditional methods of wiring components to J-tag my box? Thanks, Bud

I want to make an xbox 360 modded controller. What is the easiest way. Also I don't want to drill a hole to add a button so can anyone teach me how to do a sleeper mod. Like a mod for my controller where i just press the sync button to change modes. Also I do not want to buy anything for my controller to help with the mod(e.g. Intensifire) Just post your thoughts or answers.

Hey all, today I went out and bought an XBox 360 chatpad, to link up to my PC xbox 360 controller. I have all the latest drivers, yet still I have had no luck of getting the chatpad working :( I googled and found I'm not the only one. There is a program written in XNA that installs on PC and Xbox and works like that, but I don't have an Xbox :( Does anyone have a clue on how to get it working? Thanks in advance, SP534

So I got an xbox 360 elite for Christmas. I set up my xbox live account and already have 75 gamerscore lol. My xbox 360 gamertag is "InvariantMedal". I'm not a serious player, but I am decent at games when I master their controls. I'll post pictures of my xbox setup in my den later on. Maybe tomorrow. What's your setup look like? *EDIT- 3/18/10* Don't expect to see me on live for a while. Some asshole broke into my house and stole my 360 and other game consoles. I did manage to get 2615 gamerscore before my 360 got stolen.

I got a red ringed Xbox 360. It is green in the center for about 30 seconds then it gives a 3 part rrod. I can not turn it off either. I have replaced the heat paste. Then I unpluged and repluged the fans. Another thing is that when I hold in resart and eject I make it blink a full circle even faster than before. I have to start it up with the eject button. don't know how to fix it, but i can solder. Can anyone help ?

I have a xbox 360 that used to work. My friend tried to fix a 3 RROD on it. He said he tried many times to start the xbox up it would show a green light for a second, then turn off. I now tried starting it without the fans or heat sink, and the power brick light turns red. Can anybody help?

I just want to hear what you guys think about about the new xbox, which was released yesterday, I have heard it has built- in Wi Fi, quieter running, looks good and has a massive 250 gb hard drive. PS3 owners don't start bragging about ps3 here, just honestly say what you think about it. Advantages over current XBOX 360: >250 GB Internal Hard Drive >Improved reliability >Internal Wi Fi at the strongest strength, not en extra £60 ($100) >Kinect Ready >Only $299 0r around £180-200 (same price as the current elite) >Amazing new retro looks to the original XBOX here is the Microsoft Website (a bit biased though!) http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/

I have 2 Xbox 360 controllers with the left analog stick's dead zone sticking. That is to say that if the joystick is nugged slightly and put down, it constantly registers a small movement in the direction it was nugged until you re-center it. I've tried taking it apart and cleaning it, but it seems the spring inside the analog stick unit is worn out. I've searched google, and the only broken controller hits I got was for the stick breaking off completely from the analog unit. Any insight as to how i could fix this problem, or am I better off trying to make 1 good controller out of 2 bad ones by taking the right analog unit off one and soldering it on the left analog port on the other?

I saw the website of Ben Heck (benheck.com) and I was wondering if it is really necessary to modify the heatsinks for the GPU/CPU and replace the fans. I am planning on making a portable xbox 360 in an alluminum suitcase with the LCD screen from a computer monitor. Is there any easier (legal) way to wirelessly obtain xbox live? What resolution monitor should I get? Any advice?

Xbox 360 controller battery uses Hi everyone, here's a fairly easy challenge, I hope. I was hoping on using my rechargeable xbox 360 'play and charge' controller battery for more uses than for gaming. so to be able to unhook it from my controller and clip it on to my bike and be able to turn on a light with or with out a switch and with out any modification to the battery itself. Any ideas? hope this ones easy and could have many uses for it.

Basically, I've been on the fence for a while on whether or not to buy a PS3 or Xbox 360? I've finally decided to get one of them, but which one exactly? I've been kinda leaning towards PS3, as it has free online multiplayer, but what with the new, sleeker Xbox 360, and Natal *ahem* I mean, Kinect, I sorta want to get an Xbox, though I don't enjoy the fact that multiplayer costs money, however cheap it may be. Could someone help me, the late adapter decide? I'd be much obliged.

I had an idea for a xbox disk changer, considering my extreme laziness. Basically, It would be an old music disk changer with the same xbox style disk drive in it. The drives ribbon cable would connect from the changer to the xbox, then I'd record the disk switch (up & down) IR signal, and put it in my xbox controller. like www.instructables.com/id/Done/ . So to sum it up, I want to make a 6 disk xbox changer and put the remote in my controller. What I'm asking is how much of a hassle, and even if this is even possible. Thanks in advance ~Nameless~

I have wireless xbox 360 controller, and using the removable AA battery pack. ( not the rechargeable closed solid battery pack ) after leaving the AA batteries in for a long time, the acid leaked out and actually melted the GROUND wire that is soldered to the PCB of the controller. i tried soldering a new wire on, but i'm guessing the point where the wire goes no longer is suitable as the controller still wont turn on. is there another place i can run the - (negative) part of the AA batteries on the PCB as im confident the normal place the ground wire goes to is screwed..... i was thinking can i connect it to the place the rechargeable battery pack connects to as it seems that it doesnt touch the same connectors as the AA battery pack. as the rechargeable pack has those small copper flat pins on the back of it.. which one is ground, can i use that connection? any help would be appreciated. photos of the place i can make my new ground connection would really help.... you can email me at email@example.com if you like, as i may not be able to check this site very often due to work. thanks for ur help all!
