Hello all,Recently I've been visiting The Clinic for advice about some of my 'Ibles. It's been a couple of weeks since the first visit, and none of the posts I made have any responses. Scrolling through some of the comments, it seems as though there are plenty of people asking for tips, but almost no replies. I reply to some of them where I think I can help, but the lack of responses to many of the requests make me start to wonder: Has The Clinic been abandoned by the "Seasoned Authors" who are intended to be helping out and giving advice? Also, on a side note, when I go to the Community page and search "the clinic" nothing comes up, and when I put in "clinic" I have to scroll through a couple entries until I find The Clinic. This is problematic, and representative of a huge problem I've noticed with the search bars on the forum: If you search for something very specific, nothing will come up, even if there is a post / topic / 'Ible with exactly those term in the title. Not sure if this is a bug or just bad programming, but it needs fixing.-D.E.

I have been really intrested in going and taking some picture/exploring some older buildings in the detroit area but only know about 3 most of which are ones that know are either hard to get into or have more problems if you get caught..so any buildings at all that aren't just rundown houses.

Hiya all! I sometimes go to my grandmother's house, and there is an abandoned Karate club or something near it. Recently, I got bored so I went outside. I circled around that building a couple of times, and I noticed that I can climb to it's roof! It's not too high, about only 5 meters or so. The roof is awesome! It's flat, and then I came up with an awesome idea - how about building a small house there? Just for the fun of it, it could be an awesome place to come with friends. I need the floor to be at least 2x2 meters, height 1.5-2 meters. I need the house to be made of cheap and available materials. Got any ideas?

Yes, I know this was announced as a feature, but it's still a bug in my book! Why has the orange masthead been abandoned? It's the characteristic color of Instructables. Taking it away is diluting the brand.

Looks like there was an unannounced update over the weekend. The new search boxes for forums and Answers are a most welcome addition; thank you! I notice that the thumbnails have been abandoned on the Answers listing; that's probably for the best, as only more experienced users were likely to notice that you could add images at all.

WATER FUEL WATER FUEL WATER FUEL WATER FUELpossibly someone'll poke a critical hole in this, but it's seriously cool anyway. An edit;i'm not seriously suggesting that we all abandon fossil fuels as a source of energy, nor am i convinced that this system is genuine. There is, after all, no such thing as a free lunch, nor is there free energy. However, i DO think it's worth examining in a critical light, which is why i posted it here.

Times are tough. People don't have the money that they used to. Some of those people own boats.According to the New York Times, boat-owning Americans are abandoning their boats in droves by sanding off the names and serial numbers and setting them afloat.Do you know what this means? It's ripe time to get yourself a free boat like Tim Anderson did some years ago in much more prosperous time.

About time I made an M4 carbine. The farthest shooting/accurate and sturdiest gun i've made to date mostly due to the muzzle loading. WHAT!!! NO MAGAZINE!!! yep, it was abandoned due to horrible range and often jams. It's more of a sniper than an assault rifle and is extremely accurate with a grey rod + grey connector. It uses a modded dsmans barrel for maximum accuracy and distance, accuracy due to the barrel going through the forgrip. I also added a 4-railed foregrip for attachments such as virtical foregrip (shown in pic), bipod, dot scope, lights/lasers, or anything that can attach. Tell me what you guys think.

I came up with a 'fantastic idea'; I made it, I took photos while doing so, I uploaded my photos, and had just started to write up the steps...when I decided to use the Instructables "Search" so I could root around previous submissions to come up with a great title for my 'great submission'. That's when it happened, I found a submission really similar to my new unique and great idea. So this is the dilemma --do I post or do I abandon? Thank you!

Nikola Tesla's grandest vision was the transmission of large amounts of power without wires. His work in this area was abandoned by his contemporaries, and there is still much debate over if it could or could not work. I would like to hear your opinions on this. Do you think it is possible? Would it require only one transmitter, or several, spread across the globe? Would it be safe? Would it be worthwhile? Could Tesla's original spark gap circuit been sufficient to drive it? Or would it be better to use vacuum tubes or solid state setups? Would the operating frequency be very high or very low? Pictured below is how I think Tesla may have done it, based on the information I've seen. It's a bit over-simplified, but to the best of my knowledge, it covers most of what is needed. Please note that, although the transmitter terminals would be at a much higher elevation than pictured, the receiving terminals could stay at a relatively low elevation. This link is to a YouTube video of someone using a small Solid-State Tesla Coil for wireless power transmission: www.youtube.com/watch Edit: I had orriginally imagined that the system would work by capacitive coupling between the Ionosphere and the coils. Afterwards I realized that electrostatic capacitive coupling will decouple after seperation between two plates is greater than 1/2 the wavelength (or, at least in theory), so I personally abandoned the idea. The only problem is that I can't imagine how power would be sent to airplanes. Also, this is a very good read on the subject, from a very interesting site: www.teslaradio.com/pages/wireless_102.htm

I have a dream of being able to paint big space buildings like facades and factory buildings. My dream is to collaborate with city governments to create murals in abandoned former industrial areas. My idea is to create a device with spray cans, electro motors and a software that can communicate a picture into pixels for the spraying device to detect and print on to the wall. See drawing for description. If somebody is interested in designing this I will buy the material for testing and so on... I am completely new to arduino and if someone to start with would tell me if the idea is to far away from reality, that could also be a good start... :-) This was a quick shout out to begin with. Reply if there is any interest or comments. Lets do this together!!

Third LawAs the level of civility approaches absolute zero, the uselessness of an exchange of posts approaches infinity. There are many threads which are started in good humour - seeking information, looking for an intelligent discussion, or passing on a humorous tidbit. Most of them carry on in the same vein, but, occasionally, people get carried away. Discussion becomes argument, argument becomes name-calling. Tempers fray, feelings get hurt, reputations damaged. We've all seen it, or even been there.Eventually, when a thread begins to descend into the mire, it actually swamps all the original good it might have done.Such a thread must be walked away from. International Fiber CollaborativeSeeking Participants,The goal for the International Fiber Collaborative is to give a opportunity to people who enjoy working with crafts, whether professional artists, hobbyists or students to come together all over the world to express our concerns towards our countries extreme dependency on oil for energy. Those who participate will crochet/knit/stitch/patch/ or collage a 36"x36" fiber panel that will express each artists view on this topic. By taking the step to create a panel with any design, and sending it in, in the larger picture, is expressing your concern towards this topic. Once all 800 panels that are needed are received, they will be sewn together to completely cover an abandoned gas station and gas pumps in central New York. So we have an inground pool with a wooden wrap around deck. These humongous black wasps with a bluish sheen fly around and are everywhere out there. We see them carrying grasshoppers and taking them between the wooden slats under the deck. We abandoned our pool early in the season because they are very aggressive. Obviously if we are out there we are swimming, walking on the deck, jumping, playing music and what not. This appears to annoy them. I cannot see any nests but there must be several down there because they go in all over the place. Help. What can I do to get rid of them so they don't come back next year?

There is a lot more knitting out there beyond the standard stitching that is crazy and wild and even a bit subversive. Some of it is called knit graffiti like at knittaplease.com and some of it just likes to be more playful and make bizarre and fun new objects. In San Francisco there was a guy who would wrap abandoned bikes and bike locks with thick and chunky yarn. It was a beautiful way to reclaim what was a pretty grim reminder that bike theft is prevalent here.I may not be compelled to learn how to cast on and make some stuff of my own, but you have to respect the people who feel compelled to take the craft and keep on running with it.To find out more, check out this article on we-make-money-not-art.com to read some history, watch a video discussing current issues, and see some cool examples of the styles.

Here is another Joseph Ducreux translation! This one is a parody of Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." You can find the original lyrics here. If you haven't already seen it, check out my Joseph Ducreux version of "Call Me Maybe." I Recognized You As Problematic At a distant point in history, A trio of oversights previous, I was framed within the boundaries of your crosshairs. You orchestrated a situation in which, save yourself, I was isolated from others. You discovered my location. You discovered my location. You discovered my location. I suppose our relationship lacked meaningfulness to you, And I suppose this attracted me, And when it happened that I became lovestruck, You removed yourself from our current arrangement, Abandoning me, Abandoning me, Abandoning me. And he has long since disappeared, Even when we were first acquainted. And I have come to the conclusion that I bear the blame for this. For I recognized you as problematic upon your ambulation into the chamber. Thus, may disgrace be bestowed upon me at this time. Our relationship transported me to territories previously undiscovered, Until you discarded me. I recognized you as problematic upon your ambulation into the chamber. Thus, may disgrace be bestowed upon me at this time. Our relationship transported me to territories previously undiscovered, Now I am reclining uncomfortably upon the frigid, overly firm earth. True, True, Discord, discord, discord. True, True, Discord, discord, discord. No amends will be made. He will never witness your weeping. Delude yourself by imagining That he is unaware that he is the catalyst For your subaqueous asphyxiation. Your subaqueous asphyxiation. Your subaqueous asphyxiation. And I discovered that you have abandoned our relationship entirely. I have acquired this knowledge from rumors murmured about the thoroughfare, A new tally upon your breeches strap Is the whole of what I will ever amount to from your point of view. And it is at last obvious to me. And it is at last obvious to me. And it is at last obvious to me. And he had long since disappeared, Even when when we were first acquainted. And I have come to the conclusion that I am the victim of the prank. I recognized you as problematic upon your ambulation into the chamber. Thus, may disgrace be bestowed upon me at this time. At the time when your most melancholy trepidation Insidiously invades your mind That you never felt true affection towards myself, her, or anything. Quite. I recognized you as problematic upon your ambulation into the chamber. Thus, may disgrace be bestowed upon me at this time. I will be going to college soon and have found out that my roommate gets shaken by loud noises, so I had to abandon my guitar-amp amplified phone alarm for a quieter alternative. I was referred to a vibrating alarm system that fits into pillows and runs on signal from music players and/or plain ol' alarm clock inputs, but those are waaay too expensive, and I prefer building my own over buying. Here's the situation: I have a USB-powered vibrating massager that I got for free at some tech convention. Since it's USB-powered, I know it runs on 5 volts, which is more than my phone's 3.5 mm plug can deliver. How can I build an amplifier circuit that will boost the signal from my phone enough to run the motor? Thanks

Hi =o)Kiteman's story made me wonder that :If, in the middle of the night, you had to leave your home very quickly (in a matter of minutes) because of a coming great catastrophe (hurricane, flood, fire, alien invasion ...), and given that everything you'll left will be definitively lost, what would you take with you ?Personally, I think I'd try to take :- my cat (despite that's probably not the most rational decision as I don't have a box to carry her safely)- a bag with my most important administrative and official papers- my USB keys with all my work- my cellular phone- a flashlight- and maybe a bottle of water ...And if remains enough time, I'd probably try to gather as much things as possible into my backpack/rucksack ...What would be your list ?edit : of course, it's obvious to me that none of us would abandon someone he/she loves ! ;o)

At the moment, it's just a design student's prototype, but I think this ridable cardboard bike has real legs, er, wheels.Built from a single sheet of industrial-strength hexacomb card, the frame should cost as little as 3GBP ($6), and the tiny proportion of metal parts means the bike has a projected selling price of 15GBP (about $30). For that, you get a bike that will survive about 6 months of daily commuting, or a lifetime of the kind of riding most people do.The designer, 21 year-old Phil Bridge, predicts the design will cut bike crime by simply being too cheap to be worth pinching (currently, a bike is stolen and abandoned every 71 seconds in the UK). It also provides an opportunity for sponsorship:"The idea was that it would be a sponsorship from a company who would produce these and get some advertising it. And once you've used it, you'd return it they'd give you another one, they'd take all the metal components out and put them into a new frame and the old frame would go back to the manufacturer."BBC Manchester articleBBC South Yorkshire article

AutoCAD was the first CAD package I really felt comfortable using and designing in. I've since realized that part of being an engineer is being familiar enough with dozens of different CAD packages so that you can recognize which one is the best tool for the specific challenge at hand. Since I use a Mac, I keep a copy of Windows running under Parallels primarily for CAD packages. This is actually a pretty common theme with people working at the various Squid Labs-related companies. I could probably walk just a couple of offices down and see SolidWorks on a MacBook Pro screen right now.So, I'm happy to read that AutoDesk is asking for input on a version of AutoCAD for the Mac:Mac Fanbois Get their Wish: AutoCADNearly two decades ago, Autodesk abandoned AutoCAD on the Mac. But now perhaps it is seeing too many sales lost to the likes of ArchiCAD to architecture clients, NX to mechanical engineering customers, and SketchUp to designers. Autodesk marketing calls it "trying to stay in tune with our customers," and are asking Mac and AutoCAD users to fill out a survey. ..."

And would I be able to abandon and come back to Vista if I changed my mind, I have Windows Vista Home Premium, it came pre installed, so I do not have a disk. And "dual booting", I've heard about from friends but don't really understand/don't know how, if possible. I think thats all. I'll list all my q's if it helps. And also would programs installed on vista (games and such) be able to installed? And would my wireless internet get messed up? -Should I? -Could I? -Advantages? -Disadvantages? -Would I be able to come back to Vista? -Dual booting??? P.S. why does my cursor not blink when I type on instructables? It's bothering me...

The Modified Toy Orchestra have a philosophy of performing everything live with a collection of re-purposed children’s toys.., converting abandoned playthings into exotic new musical instruments, and then exploring the latent potential and surplus value inherent in these liberated circuits. Guided by this hidden world they seek to make a form of music devoid of personal narrative or autobiography, instead they ask bigger questions about our relationship with “the next new gadget” the desire for the constant upgrade, and the possibilities for problem solutions hidden from our gaze by perceptual habit. The result of this on going investigation has been called cinematic, dark, joyful and life affirming. It is rare to hear an electronic live performance that has no midi, no sampling, no synthesizers, no laptops, in fact no conventional instruments of any kind. MTO have live dates coming up: 8th September at Birmingham Town Hall 10th September at Manchester Bridgewater Hall Hey, what about the title of the topic? Sometimes I fall asleep when I'm watching TV and don't realize it, because I dream the rest of the story. Then of course when I wake up I'm thoroughly confused: why are the bad guys still alive? They had transformed into evil giant ants then I saved the day by feeding them peanut butter laced with boric acid! When I finally realize I'm not the hero in the story, I have to either go to bed and abandon all hope of finding out what really happened, or watch the story backwards, sped up and silent till I see a scene I recognize. No fun! These socks will protect the integrity of your show's story line: build them by following this tutorial, wear them while watching TV and they will pause the show when you fall asleep. Of course they won't keep you from dreaming up an alternate ending, but at least when you wake up you can start where you dosed off and find out who the murderer really is. This is a Netflix tutorial, and it's supposed to pause Netflix shows... but I'm sure it can be adapted to turn off Amazon Prime or other streaming services...

The first is to diversify suppliers and reduce the force's reliance on one company, the second is to give the Gendarmerie mastery of the operating system and the third is cost [...]The move away from licensed products is saving the gendarmerie about seven million euros (10.3 million dollars) a year for all its PCs.The 70,000 desktops of the French Gendarmerie should be 100% Linux by 2013-2014.This is, again, a proof that Linux solutions became mature enough to compete with Microsoft Windows.Dell now sells computers with Linux instead of Windows.OLPC and EEEPC use Linux.Several administrations around the world are seriously planning to move to Linux and Open-Source.Is this is the beginning of a new era ? How many administrations around the world will abandon Microsoft too ?How long before buying a computer with Linux sounds like a serious option for a majority of consumers ?I wonder if Microsoft really feel worried about that ... =o)

Hi all, My girlfriend and I are going to be making a haunted house and we're looking for ideas. We have access to an old abandoned house and we're going to pretend that one of us is a house inspector or a rat catcher or something and have friends set their friends up for a Halloween scare. We've got some ideas (right now we're trying to build an r/c servo that pulls the pin holding up a painting so that it suddenly falls off the wall.... Tina built an r/c prank flashlight that we can remotely turn off (so that the flashlight 'fails' in a dark scary room) and we have some old creepy porcelain dolls that we want to remotely activate (heads turning, arms moving, that sort of thing) but we're looking for more ideas. We will invite the guest to inspect the house with one of us while the other person controls the pranks and gags. Anyway, if you have any great ideas or know of some good resources I would love to catch your feedback. Thanks! DAZU

Hello all.So I live in Montreal, winter is long here. Every morning opening our bike locks is problematic. We fixed it partially with lube, but this post is not about these solutions.I have been looking for a device that could heat the frozen core of the lock. You can see an image attached of a product not available anymore to get the idea. I guess it was not working very well...I have zero knowledge in electronics/electricity. I thought this question could be interesting/challenging for some of you. So ideally the gadget would be:Small enough to be carried on the key chain or in a commute bag.Able to be inserted in any type of locksBuilt with a safe way to prevent unwanted switch on (to avoid burning bags/pockets/houses...Lol)Able to produce enough heat to defrost the lock Rechargeable would be best (USB best best), capacity of 5mn maybe to operate twice a day...Reasonably quick to unfreeze the lock, so you don t freeze yourself (That s why I abandon using hot pouches around the lock, pouring hot water will fix it quickly but then it will freeze again)As I said, I don t have the skills to even begin to find a solution, but I saw a lot of smart stuff here and I am curious to see what you guys would answer to that. My guess is that it must be very difficult, if not I can t see why a similar product is not widely commercialized. I think a lot of people would buy it.Thanks for the reading, I hope I picked your interest. Have a good day.

Hello, everyone, I would like to know if it is possible to make a vacuum base tool (bench vise) to stick to a plastic table? Tables like the folding portable types that are use for outdoors event, hobbies, work bench or any other useful project or jobs. Let me explained; I brought myself a bench vise (from eBay) which is the type in which it is a suction base or cup that suppose to stick onto the table when the lever is push either up or down. My work bench or table is an portable 4 inch folding lifetime (brand) item. After buying and receiving the tool, I tried to stick the vise onto my workbench, but was not able to make it stick at all. I have tried all kinds of methods that I have google. methods like the water method, oil method, tapes and so on, but could not get it to stick at all. This is my very first time I have work with a tool with a suction action to mount the tool to a surface. When purchasing the tool I was under the belief that all suction cups or suction methods works on all kind of surfaces. I did manage to stick the tool onto a glass table, but this is not an alternate solution for me, since the glass table is my dinning table. If anyone has experience this kind or similar problem with a suction device and had solve the problem I would be very grateful for a course of suction basics 101, because if I don't find a solution, it is either buy an new work table to work with the tool (not an option) or abandon the whole idea. Really could use help. Thank you

I love the new classes feature here at Instructables, and have the ambition to complete as many of them as possible. I do have some feedback for them, however, and that is that the introduction to the class should include a rough estimate of how much it's going to cost to buy the various bits needed to complete the class. I've just finished the Arduino class and loved the fact that a lot of the lessons leading up to the final project contributed to the final build, and as such helped keep the costs of buying the materials (relatively) low. The same can't be said for the Electronics class, however, which has different projects to build for each lesson and is working out rather expensive as a result. Now please understand, I'm not complaining about the fact you have to build a project for each lesson. If anything I'm rather enjoying it. But a little heads up of what roughly how much the class is going to end up costing would be a welcome addition. I can see this consisting of two different sums: - the cost of equipment which is needed, but once you have it, you have it for keeps. - and the cost of any materials which will be consumed by the project. I'm keen on moving onto another class just as soon as I complete the Electronics one, but would like to be able to work out which one I should go for, taking things like price into account, before I get started - rather than maybe having to abandon the class because I suddenly find I can 't afford some of the equipment or materials I'll need for it. Thank you

Several summers ago working for with my church mission team we happened across this project that needed volunteers call the P.E.T. http://www.giftofmobility.org/what_is_pet.htm Project which stands for personal energy transport. They build these 3 wheeled carts with hand cranks for 3rd world countries to help with those people who have lost the use of their legs. These people do not have the luxury of 30,000 electric wheel chairs, mater of fact most of them are limited to crawling. They are distributed to countries around the world and they are built so they can travel off pavement. Our team spent a week in a workshop in Lulling Texas. I saw this complicated process of taking some existing bike parts and then fabricating the rest out of wood or metal. This seemed incredibly inefficient at the time to me. I always wanted to revisit how these things were built using more off the shelf components and less fabrication because it seemed to me that while building a couple of these was a good idea that building a lot of these was not always the best use of man power, supplies, and money. So it occurred to me that perhaps with all of the soon to be disabled in Haiti that now is the time to step up, now is the time to look for a better way. So the very loose guidelines that I was thinking about was that we have too many bikes going to the dump every day in this country, what if we could find a way to take existing bikes and break down their parts for new PET's and could also find a reproducible manner of manufacturing frames and reconfiguring these parts. Not everyone is a welder, not everyone is a Maker, but almost anyone can see an abandoned bike and take it apart for usable parts and send them to someone who can. So what do you think…

I often get questions about copyright, licensing, patents, and publishing an Instructable. In an effort to help clarify, we're going to put an overview of the license on the Instructable publish page. We'll also link to a forum topic where users can ask questions and discuss edge cases. I'd love your feedback, suggestions, and question on the proposed text that will appear on the publish page where you choose a license: Here's a brief overview of how the license works: By publishing your Instructable, you give Instructables.com permission to republish your Instructable on our website, or on a partner's website or other media. We always try to get your Instructable seen by as many people as possible, and usually our goal is the same as yours. For more information, see our Terms of Service. The license you choose below informs third-parties how they must treat your Instructable. If you choose our default license, Attribution Non-commercial Share Alike (by-nc-sa), any website may republish your entire Instructable in a non-commercial venue under the same license, provided they attribute it properly -- by citing your name, linking to your website, your userpage on Instructables, or the original Instructable. If you choose to reserve all rights, no entity other than Instructables.com may republish your exact text or images. If you choose Public Domain, you are explicitly abandoning all rights. For the purposes of news reporting, pieces of your Instructable may be republished regardless of their copyright under the fair use exemption. More information can be found on the Creative Common website. The ideas or methods described within your Instructables are not protected by copyright. Copyright only applies to original works of authorship that are fixed in a tangible form of expression; for the purposes of your Instructable, that includes your text, images, and any files. If you'd like to protect the idea or method of your Instructable, you'll need a patent. Patent law is more complicated than we have space for here, but the good news is that in the United States, you have a year from first publication to file a patent application. So, if you think your idea is patentable, you can publish a form of it as an Instructable, get constructive feedback on the idea, and still be able to apply for a patent.

Well as some people may know already, my activity on this site has dropped to an all time low. I stop by and look only once every few months now. I've addressed this in a few comments but I might as well post it here for the whole community to see. No, I haven't gone to college yet, I'm just a junior in High School still. Over a gradual period of time my hobbies and interests have shifted tremendously. As a side hobby some of you may remember that I used to make halo videos showcasing forge world maps I made. This has grown into making montages, and I've grown into a somewhat professional editor well-known by a lot of Halo's competitive community, even though I'm not too good at the actual game. Because of my shifting interests (I honestly have not felt like touching knex in months) and the fact that Ibles doesn't support my new hobbies, I've basically moved to Youtube now. Quite a few iblers who used to be my original subscribers have for some reason stopped watching my videos (and actually fallen off the face of Youtube and ibles), but If you want to keep up with me and what I'm doing feel free to subscribe: http://www.youtube.com/user/DjRadioIbles?feature=mhee PS: this site has changed so much since I last visited. I barely recognize it anymore. My /you page hasn't been able to load for the past year and a half since these changes. I've also probably missed many comments dating back from June. I'm sorry I haven't talked to you, but Halo and Real life have basically taken me off the site. Like I said, I might still make something out of knex if I get a holiday or break later on. And no, I'm not leaving the site for good. I'll still drop by once every few months and look at how things are doing for nostalgia. I haven't abandoned you guys by a long shot. P.P.S. Do I still have the site's largest orangeboard?

Hello everybody, I am in the process of setting up wireless internet at home, but am still a complete novice in this field. I have just bought a ZyXEL G-202 USB wireless adapter and I am making an antenna of sorts following some instructables as we speak. On my laptop I usually get 1-2 stripes at most when it comes to signal strength, so I was planning to do some piggybacking with my desktop. :) (hey, internet is not cheap here in the Balkans. :P) Anyway, I live in the capital where we have many Cafes and institutions providing free wireless, so why not make the most of it, it's not illegal here. :) The only problem is, I live in an block of flats; so many surrounding buildings tend to block and corrupt the signal. For instance, in my room (using an Acer laptop with built-in wireless) I get a list of 5-6 free (read: unsecured) APs, but the signal is so weak, it's good for nothing. :( Now, having examined my options, I was planning to make an antenna and put it on the roof of the building. But, when I climbed to the top, I found this old abandoned satellite dish SEE PHOTO (I asked around the building and nobody knows who it belongs to. Additionally, it's very run down as you can see, and the cables are torn out, so I was planning on claiming it. :p). Now, my questions are: 1. Can anyone tell me if it's a good idea to use this dish as an antenna, if I weather proof my USB receiver and mount it on the focal point of the dish? (Line of sight (aerial) distance from it to the nearest free wifi hotspot is approx. 600 meters) 2. Is there a possibility that my USB will get too hot, maybe catch fire, because of the signal boost? (Maybe this is a dumb question, but I really don't know much about these things) 3. Finally, I would also need an advice in regard to the cables needed. I already downloaded the "How to extend your USB using UTP" instructable, but since the cable should be about 60 meters long, is there a way to make it not loose too much signal? Thank you all for reading this, and thank you in advance for your advice. Any type of help is welcomed. :)

It's been a while since I put one of these out. This one is a parody of Owl City's "Good Time." You can find the original lyrics here. Hope you enjoy! Favorable Circumstances I arose this morn in good humour. Wherefore doth a song authored by Prince reside verily within my mind. Elevate your hands if you favor dancing this eve. For the circumstances are perpetually favorable. I last night slept in my waking attire as if I cared not. I utilised a motorized stage, indifferent to the destination. I shall participate if you favor dancing this eve. For the circumstances are perpetually favorable. Good morn and good night. I shall arise at dusk. Events will yield acceptable outcomes. We need not even put forth effort, The circumstances are perpetually favorable. (Exuberant vocalization) The circumstances are perpetually favorable. (Exuberant vocalization) We need not even put forth effort, the circumstances are perpetually favorable. I lost my composure, for I once again dropped my telephonic device into the natatorium. I abandoned my inn space and withdrew currency from an automatic teller. Let us spend time together if you you favor dancing this eve. (Exuberant vocalization) The circumstances are perpetually favorable. (Exuberant vocalization) We need not even put forth effort, the circumstances are perpetually favorable. It matters not the time nor date; The circumstances are perpetually favorable at that point. It matters not the location; The circumstances are perpetually favorable wherever we may be. It matters not the time nor date; The circumstances are perpetually favorable at that point. The circumstances are perpetually favorable! (Exuberant vocalization) The circumstances are perpetually favorable. (Exuberant vocalization) We need not even put forth effort, the circumstances are perpetually favorable. Please leave a comment on your way out :)

It's been a toughweek for me, people. School started a week ago and something strange happened. Friends have been abandoning me one by one, and everyone acted soulless in front of me. It seemed like everyone was unhappy with somehing. Then i started to realize that everyone was unhappy with me. This morning, i received messages from my friends saying why they hate me. Apparently i was an arrogant little ****. My friends were trying to deal with my arrogance for too long, and they couldn't take it anymore. I then logged on to instructables, yet having more controversy on my 'ibles. If you want to know why i am arrogant, I was considered to be a 'perfect kid'. I have a 3.8 gpa in high school now, and i am taking 4 AP classes, and one honors. I also made varsity tennis and JV basketball in freshman year, so i was considered good at sports (not bragging). I also won 3 karate sparring tournaments, which raised my self confidence even more higher, to the point where i almost became a kanye west duplicate. I was incredibly egotistical and happy with my self, because i was good at almost everything. I felt as though i was on top of everyone else, and i have always tried to maintain that position. But that happiness vanished during this week. Even in my first couple of 'ibles, i was overhappy and arrogant, and i used to demand respect and recognition. But i later realized that this wasn't right. I have made my mistakes of being an arrogant D-bag, and i am introducing the new me: a still happy person who doesn't cross the line towards arrogance. - IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Everyone has done bad things and made mistakes. If you haven't done bad things, you are a liar. Ask yourself this: How many times have you cheated on anything? Did you steal from anyone (even something worth a penny)? How many times have you lied to anyone? How many times have you broken the rules of your household, school, or anywhere else? There are many questions i can ask, but i will stop right here. We all make mistakes, but you are a good person as long as you LEARN from your mistake. I have learned from my bad things i have done in the past. I will be more mature and still maintain above a 3.8 gpa and still do my sports, but i will change my attitude and i won't be so arrogant and immature. This is a new me.

Http://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-K2-terminated-speaker-cable/dp/B000J36XR2/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_18 I was flipping around on Kotaku, and came across a page talking about the MASSIVE rip-offs involving HDMI cables. I read the article and found this link in the comments. This is a $9,000 audio cable from Amazon. I went down to the comments (mostly to see if some idiot bought this), and found some interesting comments. And by interesting, I mean I fell out of my chair laughing. -------------------------------------------------- Some comments: " We live underground. We speak with our hands. We wear the earplugs all our lives. PLEASE! You must listen! We cannot maintain the link for long... I will type as fast as I can. DO NOT USE THE CABLES! We were fools, fools to develop such a thing! Sound was never meant to be this clear, this pure, this... accurate. For a few short days, we marveled. Then the... whispers... began. Were they Aramaic? Hyperborean? Some even more ancient tongue, first spoken by elder races under the red light of dying suns far from here? We do not know, but somehow, slowly... we began to UNDERSTAND. No, no, please! I don't want to remember! YOU WILL NOT MAKE ME REMEMBER! I saw brave men claw their own eyes out... oh, god, the screaming... the mobs of feral children feasting on corpses, the shadows MOVING, the fires burning in the air! The CHANTING! WHY CAN'T I FORGET THE WORDS??? We live underground. We speak with our hands. We wear the earplugs all our lives. Do not use the cables!" - By Whisper ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "If there is one cable I would whole-heartedly trust to my Chimera-hunting needs, this would be the cable. No other cable has the tensile strength to properly and efficiently garrote a lycanthrope, asphyxiate an Esquilax or even gag a mermaid. Last week, using my trusty AudioQuest K2 (retrofitted with lead weights, bright orange latex paint and a generous coating of crushed glass stolen from the window of an abandoned church at midnight), I managed to snuff 3 golden unicorns in swift succession! Pros: Quickly tears through scales, fur, bone, and adamantium with ease Coils and uncoils from hip holster (optional) quickly and quietly For a product fabricated from 1,000 Onyx Dragon fetuses, the price is unbelievably reasonable! Cons: Shipping from the R'lyeh took far too long Doesn't come in 10' lengths (which would be perfect for hydra, cerberii and other multi-headed creatures) After every use, I can feel 6 ounces of my soul slipping from my core into the ether. But this may be due to the fact that I prefer to work without gloves. YMMV. Overall, I would recommend that any hunter buy one, nay, two, of these immediately, and experience the difference that upgrading to the K2 will make in your next quest!" - By Valannin "Pantheon Outcast"

Here is a dream ... i had a few week ago :My dream just looked so real !!!! :- I want to create stuff- i want to travel- i want to share (teach, learn)- I want to be free, share this dream- I want to make something usefull for myself and others... I'm dreaming ...I want to be inspired from what i prefer from the different places I have seen as a student and teacher :institute without boundaries = The concept of the open arts and design sailing school, should be to solve global and local problem creatively. The institute without boundaries is a graduate school (all students are self-responsible and motivated) with the boat we can go where the design/ art solution is needed and exchange it with goods, money / services to survive promoting global well-being. At the moment they have decided to focus all the students attention in soving one problem : housing in develloping countries, now the energy of everyone is this direction, the school is based in Toronto, but the students travel the world study and find clever-cheap solutions adapted to different places.ensci = the 24h//365days open school you can weld or hammer at anytime of the day and night, all the facilities are all accessible, the students are responsible.wikiveristy : the on-line community everyone can join.boat building school : the maker knowledge of ancientsgispy school = compact school solution in a truckmake zine = publicating, is very important, and it should be done daily, simple rawnavy boat = woaaah this boat is so amazing !!! Imagine sucha big ship, we can have everything in, metal wood plastic glass fibers music painting textile chemistry workshop !!!!Open course ware = Super high quality training FOR FREE !!! School should be preparing for professional life, so teachers and students should undertake together briefs from the outside to make money for financing the boat and learn.open source softwares = the open school should use 'only' open source software and promotes its usage and be independent.cousteau = scientific and politicaly engaged ship missionrainbow warrior = promoting ecological ideology and freedom and respect of diversity.Royal College of Arts = aplace where students from different areas of study exchange and collaborate on diverse projects : if you join the project you come to learn and maybe you can teach something as well ! v2 lab = to be a place for people to pursue long term researches and experimental projects.squid lab = instructables is run by a company, Squid Lab. Not like a charity they can also undertake projects to make money to run other activities such as instructables website and feed a community of enthousiasts users.UDK Berlin wiki system = i was mucky enough to pop-in the UDK " Experimental Media Design " class, i asked if i can sit and listen, ans what I saw amazed me : the students were doing a vast presentation on the subject "network", each group of student would focus on a particular angle of the subject, everyone collecting informations and uploading it on the class wiki (on-line collaborative website), making a huge and relevant knowledge base for the next step : creating artefacts !!! AMAZING people ! Students and teachers were equal, just collecting infos, the teachers was just here to order the datas and rovide support of experience when needed. The boat itself should be made ecologicaly and collectively.I'm sure funding can be found from goverments, private funders, environemental organisations, scientific missions, foundations, cities, councils, and the money made by the members of the projects while travelling, providing solutions. So that's pretty much it, from what i know, but if you know any particulairity you think exellent, it has to be included in this project.Isn't this exciting !!!!????I have seen immense boats abandonned in Greece waiting to be repaired and re-used !!!!Now, it's time to build the idea and see who's interested. So many things must be done :- defining what needs to be on-board, the functions ...- how many users ...- materials, place to build, legal, money ...- the entire prject actually ... heheheh !! ...

Well guys, I was tired of being told by different friends of mine that there's lots of goodies to be found sometimes out at my local dump, including a shed FULL of crts, some still in the bag I'm told. I finally got the motivation to make it out there, I had to ask the attendant where to find the computer stuff as the only shed I found had some furniture and old electronics (I was tempted to take this OLD ibm scanner, looked like it was right outta the 80's). She pointed me over to a pile of computer towers, satellite receivers (a scary amount of receivers) and some other crap, all in the sNOW!!! I was a little disgruntled to see it all in the snow there, as there was A LOT of towers. Aside from finding a working 16 port rack mount ethernet switch, a good handful of cpus I removed from some towers, and some PC133 ram (not useful to most, but it has a better use than SODIMM ram ever will these days). One of the first things I seen was an lcd monitor sitting upside down in the snow bank, I ran over to it like it was an abandoned baby in the snow. It didn't look like it had seen the snow too long, so I picked it up and tossed it in the car thinking at the most it would make a nice laptop stand out of the folding base on it. Well upon getting it home, drying it with a towel and letting it warm up to room temperature, I plugged it in and was very EXCITED to see "no signal" faintly on the screen, the backlight was shot.... I got my thinkpad out and hooked it up to see if the entire screen worked and that it wasn't cracked or something, sure enough, the whole screen lit up with the desktop for a second, then off. Frustrated, I simply kept turning the video output of my laptop on and off, and just from cycling it on and off, I got the backlight tubes to kick to life!!! I moved it to my desktop and got rid of my 19 inch crt, so I had room for this 19 inch lcd :P Later I noticed a bit of water in the screen so I shut it off, however when I went to use it later, the image would only flash on for a split second, then off again, then back on, and so on. I dissembled it today and can't find a single cap on the board that's blown (visually), and the only discoloration of the pcb is on the bottom, beneath a transformer, so I figure it's probably an okay amount of discoloration as a transformer will often make enough heat to do so. I plugged it in, and begun turning it on with only certain backlight tubes plugged in (theres 4 cables so I have to assume 4 tubes, one on each side of the screen, I also just found out you shouldn't let the unplugged leads too close to the socket on the PCB, it WILL ARC, the high voltage label etched into the pcb means business.) It would make some high pitched whining noises, the lcd would be doing it's flickering thing, sometimes the image would come up garbled, and then shortly after it started going garbled, it would kick on and stop making the high pitched noises, so I moved it back onto my desk still dissembled, and upon leaving the room long enough for the lcd to shut off, I came back to the same problem, and had to fiddle with it again to get it turned on (I'm using it right now :) What is it that makes these lcd's do this?, I know most problems with lcds are from the power inverter, and also when the backlights burn out (Hell only one could work for all I care, this thing is so bright it hurts the eyes). This is a 19" viewsonic lcd, and I did do some googling, one person noted for a similar model he tried replacing all 8 caps on the board (We have diff boards, but he said to replace all of them to be sure), he then said he was going to try replacing one of the mosfets, and that he would let us know how it went, still hasn't replied yet. I feel bad for posting this without pictures, but I don't have any good batteries around the house for my digital camera, I plan to get some pictures by the end of the day, but until then, perhaps you guys can tell me what it is you would like to see/need to see to help me figure this out. A free LCD guys, and it turns on to a usable state, so I KNOW it's worth fixing, sorry if I seem flabbergasted or something like I'm off my cradle, but an upgrade to LCD is awesome for me, I'm so used to using my crt's and I'm finding the crispness of the image very nice to look at.

Hi! I've been writing a story for about a month now and decided togive you all a sneak peak. I will be posting the whole thing once it's done. I will be trying to include some pictures as well. I hope you enjoy it! Here's the first Chapter: DRAGON SAMURAI Chapter 1 The ninja I woke with a start to the sounds of bells and shouts ringing in my ears. I jumped out of my futon and ran to the window. It was a dark and cloudy day. I saw a large crowd swarming towards the Emperor’s palace. Thousands of peasants and merchants were slowly surrounding the palace. Shouts drowned the sound of birds flapping away from the roaring crowd. I quickly changed into my kimono and ran downstairs without making my futon (my mother was going to kill me when I got back) and ran outside ignoring what my mother was saying. I followed the crowd and ran into my friend Hiroshi. “Good morning, Ryu,” he said. “Good morning Hiroshi,” I said. “Do you know what the commotion is about?” “All I know is that it has something to do with the Emperor.” “What would the Emperor do at this time in the morning?” “I have no idea.” If I remember right the Emperor is the kind of guy who stays in bed until eleven in the morning. Just try and imagine a tall puny man who only knows how to govern an empire who needs body guards at all times. If you can imagine that you probably have a good idea of what the Emperor looks like. The only time I’ve actually seen him is when he came for a walk through town but even then he was completely surrounded by guards. The reason I knew so much about the Emperor is because my uncle was one of his personal servants. Hiroshi and I continued to follow the crowd and the palace was coming into sight. Its beautiful building was surrounded by a large stone wall to keep out intruders. The roofs of the pagoda could barely be seen over the wall. Hiroshi pushed forward through the crowd. We eventually got to the front of the palace gates and Hiroshi had cleared a nice amount of room for us. I smiled. His name may mean generous but he wasn’t very generous when it came to giving space. I could hear the crowd around me mumbling to each other. Some said the palace was invaded overnight. Others said that the Emperor would declare the heir to the throne. After several minutes the doors creaked open and the Emperor’s representative slipped out the door with a very serious expression on his face. Questions exploded but the representative just stood there calmly waiting for the crowd to quiet down. Hiroshi nudged me in the ribs. “I vote we go and get noodles after the announcement,” he said. “Always thinking with your stomach aren’t you?” I said. We both giggled while the crowd settled down. The representative opened his mouth to speak. Now the next few seconds were the slowest of my entire life! The representative carefully mouthed the words “The Emperor has been kidnapped.” A gasp arose from the whole crowd. No sooner had he uttered the words than a shuriken (a ninja star) embedded itself in his chest. Everyone looked straight down at the dying man but I looked in the opposite direction. Where the Shuriken had come from stood a dark figure on the rooftop. He caught my eye and we stared at each other for what seemed like forever. Then he turned and darted off into the horizon. It was a ninja! That scary moment when our eyes met I saw something familiar in the figure’s eyes. He must have been at least fifty metres away from where I stood but I couldn’t help noticing something familiar in those eyes. I couldn’t identify what it was but I decided not to think about it at the moment. I stared at the man with blood seeping from his robes. He lay motionless while his heart slowly failed. As I stared into the eyes of the dying man, a chill ran down my spine. Hiroshi turned to me with a perplexed expression. The guards surrounded the man and pushed everyone back. The crowd slowly abandoned the palace gates and we eventually left as well. As we walked back down the road I noticed a man walking towards the palace. We locked eyes and I suddenly knew who he was. He was a Samurai.

Some people can't be without coffee, and some love to keep thei machines as clean as possible.Teste is all and if is not right the day already starts bad...But what is that stuff really? It needs to be food safe, shall not damage or corrode and part of the machine and of course can't be harful or even toxic. The main ingredient is an acid. Some acids are considered to be very corrosive on almost anything, others can set set organic material on fire and some even etch glass.Limestone, coffee staind and build up as well as most minerals that might build up in your machine magically disappear with just some added water and time. Our candidate is named Citric Acid!Very weak on things we thing about when comes to strong acids but quite powerful on the offending stuff in our kettles and coffee machines.Knowing that means we could abandone quite a lot of expensive and specialised cleaning produduct for a fully natural and harmless alternative.Calcium deposits in the bath clean up really nice and quick with it - but read the warnings and dangers below!Same for long abused toilets as mentioned in my topic about it.Stainless steel cooking pots or pans are still a favourite for some people, the pain of cleaning them once something really burnt on badly not so much.Vinegar is a prefered choice here, if you stand the smell when heating it up.Citric acid can not only provide the same cleaning strength but also deal with the things vinegar can't.In some cases stainless steel can develop rusty pits or discoloration from overheating (not trying to make it glow!).And where vinegar just cleans off the burnt in food, citric acid also clean the steel itself.Up to a degree even badly discolored things come back to a silvery look if you give it some time to work.Ever had some rusty parts and tried vinegar to get them back to bare steel?Coke can add some slight protection by passivating the steel, but like on stainless steel citric acid can do more.Unless highly concentrated and hot it won't really affect and good steel quickly. On the other hand it is really aggressive on impurities, rust and certain hard to clean off residues.Words of warning, wisdom and advise!A little bit of hydrochloic acid in your stomach is not only required but also harmless. You wouldn't want in a concentrated form anywhere on your in you though....The same logic is true with citric acid - you can make some nice artificial lemonade with it to enjoy on a hot summers day.But highly conecentrate or even heated up the story is quite different!Proper protection should be as obvious as proper handling. And mishaps should be dealt with lots of water or baking soda right away.I stress this out as my last example will highlight the dangers of citric acid that are not reall known to the public. And if it is that dangerous for some things or even just one that you should not take the risk with living tissue when dealing with higher concentrations or temperatures.Side effect that could possibly be lethal!Shiny things are nice and even nicer if clean and sparkling.Chrome plating or using chrome even is plastic coatings is still common.A lot of tap and bathware is chrome plated, same for a lot of things we have in our households or tool boxes. As tempting as it might be to use citric acid to clean something that just might contain chrome you should not try it!Chrome is almost all of its salt forms is highly toxic, same for most if not all byproducts of chemical reactions involving chrome.Cirtic acid is extremely aggressive on chrome! The tell tale sign is a discoloration of your solution into a greenish-yellow tint!Another a distinct and really unpleasant smell! Some steels include chrome too, so if you notice a bad smell when cleaning then rinse all properly and using other ways of cleaning the item!Corroded chrome plated parts might benefit from a treatment though despite the risk.Unlike sanding the chrome down and contaminating everything with fine and toxic dust you only need to deal with liquids and breathing protection - doing it outside or in really well ventilated areas is a must do anyways here.Dsiposal of anything that caused a bad smell or yellow-greenish discolartion should be done in a sealed container at your local waste disposal center. Please lable it and and also mention it contains chrome dissolved in citric acid!If you placed chrome plated parts into a solution of citric acid by accident and only realise once the smell interrupted your movie session then first go outside!!!This means preferably every living being in the house! If you have use brething protection in the form of carbon filters but either way try to vent the house first by trying to open what you can from the outside. The removal of the metal and taking the container outside should be done as quickly and safely as possible.Unless you are prepared and know what you so stay outside, call the fire brigade and state what happend!A severe reaction with chrome is nothing you should risk your health for!Never, ever dispose of anything that cause a bad smell or discoloration through drain!Bring to a disposal center and keep possible poisons of of the enviroment!

Added 5/26/07: Please read the comments below to see how the project is evolving. Design specs, goals, etc, have been modified after discussion.Hi Folks,For several years I've been wanting to build a kite powered proa. A proa is a kind of boat with a narrow hull and a smaller outrigger. These Instructables are about building a proa with a traditional sail:https://www.instructables.com/id/ERIIBDCCOTEPUCHZ1K/?ALLSTEPShttps://www.instructables.com/id/EZN8M3OCWZEV2Z7IR5/?ALLSTEPSThese are kite-powered proa-like vehicles for land and ice:https://www.instructables.com/id/EPKZ5O80HQEQZJI20F/?ALLSTEPShttps://www.instructables.com/id/EPWWSYZNWIEV2ZKLCH/?ALLSTEPSGoals for the project:1. Make at least one good boat.2. Publish a good Instructable.3. Work with interesting people.I am definitely going ahead with #1 & #2. #3... anyone interested? The Boat: Generally it should be appealing/attainable by as wide a range of budgets and circumstances and skill levels as possible.a. It should be fun to mess around with starting in about 6 or 7 mph of wind (3 m/s).b. A beach boat, not an overnighter. Should be able to carry one or two people, a paddle, personal flotation device and maybe a sandwich and a water bottle.c. Storable in a typical apartment (maybe even a dorm room?). I'm thinking a 2-part bolt-together hull like Wade Tarzia's above. Two halves, each under 8 feet long so they can be stored on end, maybe used as bookshelves as suggested by TimAnderson. What is a typical ceiling height? Mine is about 91"d. Possible to build on a restricted budget ($200? is that possible? $400?). I'm budgeting about $500 but as a cheapskate packrat scrounger type I am hoping not to spend it all. Should also avoid necessitating rare and expensive tools.e. It should be possible to make a "good looking" version if the builder chooses.... sort of financially and chronologically(?) scalable. Someone might want to build something as quickly and cheaply as possible, and another person might want to spend all summer working on the fine details and finish. The boat should be worth building in either case.f. Should be able to take a passenger (is that possible if we rely on weight-shifting for steering?), but be sailable single-handed.g. Possibly be adaptable to a traditional sail? Would this be hard? This is something I don't need for myself, but I bet someone will ask that question as soon as we publish it. If someone doesn't already have a kite, is it easier to build a kite, or a sail and associated mods to the boat?h. Probably plywood stitch-and-glue construction main hull, but maybe carved from a couple of Styrofoam billets with a plywood stringer and/or deck? Leaning towards all plywood. If we fiberglass the whole boat can we use 1/4" interior luaun at $9 per 4x8 sheet? Is that more practical and cost effective than something like occume at $60 per sheet with glass on just the keel and joints? We'd need 3 sheets. Need to do some calculations on this.i. Usable in flat water, chop and small waves (and bigger waves?). Mine will be used mostly at an ocean beach.j. Steerable by weight-shifting, i.e. moving towards the front or back of the boat. No rudders or daggerboards. Maybe paddle-assisted steering when carrying a passenger/helmsman?The Instructable:a. Should be a good read, even for folks who won't undertake the project. b. Doubles as an Instructable on how to collaborate to make a great project and a great Instructable.c. Represents everyone involved in the project in some way.d. Gives the potential builder a rough "how to sail it" as well?e. Presents the reader with several options for materials and/or construction.f. All the regular "what makes a good Instructable" things. The Interesting People:a. Everyone is interesting in some way or another, right?b. Some people like to do research on the web.c. Some people have built boats.d. Some people some know about wood, or glue, or paint, or kites, or sails, or writing, or... e. Maybe someone will build the boat concurrently so we'll have pictures of two or more versions at various stages when we publish the Instructable.Let me be the first to sign up :) I have been using kites to get around fields, beaches, frozen lakes and the ocean for 10+ years. I make my own kite boards and have made my own kites (I use commercial kites now but still love my homemade plywood boards). I've done a fair amount of web research on proas and plywood boats (and some on tarp boats, canvas covered canoes, surfboards, etc.) but I have never built a boat. I experimented with a busted up, rudderless old hobie 14 for a while, but my homemade foot-steerable rudders broke almost instantly, and shortly after that I had to abandon the boat because I moved to a place where it couldn't be stored. It was enough to get me interested. I'm pretty confident I could build a usable boat as a solo project but I want to see how much better it could be as a collaboration, or at least having a few folks commenting on my ideas.I have a small assortment of cheap power tools. I've used epoxy and fiberglass a few times and I have some on hand.I have permission from my lovely bride-to-be to use part of the kitchen, part of the time, as my workshop (that's true love). I also have a small are outside where I can work but I can't leave anything there. The pictures are my initial hull ideas. For each hull one pic shows the hull from 3 angles and the other shows how the side pieces would fit on two sheets of plywood. A third sheet would be needed for the deck and a fourth (of thicker stuff, I would guess?) for the frames, bulkheads, etc. I'll attach the files for the hulls too. You can get the freeware to view and edit them at www.carlsondesign.com.The simple V hull would mean less cutting and joining. The other one looks better (in my opinion) and can float more weight with the same amount of plywood.Could instead go with a flat bottom like Wade's.Let me know what you think. Thanks!
