Plasma Rifle Charity Auction

Hi there, i though i would post this here, as to draw attention, and also allow discussion.Due to making more and more items, i am running out of room.so, sadly, i am going to be selling my loved plasma rifle. You can see the construction and build quality here *Plasma Rifle -ible*All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Crimestoppers, who help out with a lot of anti-knife and gun crime over here in the UK, whom also happen to be having an anti-kife and gun week soon. the charity can be found here CrimestoppersI think the best way to sell this, is with a private auction. Basically, send me a private message, and the highest amount wins. The auction will end next saturday at 1.00am BST(note - if the private auction does not work, or for some reason not permitted i will then post the item on ebay)The rifle itself makes for a great conversation piece, to sit as part of your collection. Or for use in your latest indie film! Thanks for reading.Jakeps, this i also posted this topic under market place, but i wasn't sure wether that was the right place, or here.

World's Largest Cut Emerald FOR SALE! - AUCTION UPDATE! & Fraud

If you have an estimated one million dollars to spend, there is an auction on January 28, 2012 in Kelowna, B.C., Canada, where they are auctioning off the World's Largest Cut Emerald. see Western Auctions (for more images) Simply amazing! UPDATE: The owner of the emerald has been arrested on "unrelated fraud charges".... He missed the auction as a result. The opening bid for the stone was called at half a million dollars. The stone did not sell. Perhaps buyers were concerned that the "fraud charges" could translate into a "fraudulent stone".... ? Stay tuned....

BEEZID.COM...scam, or genius

Well, It's both. This is a new website that works like ebay, but all of the items are BRAND NEW and cost only pennies on the dollar. How the **** could this possibly work? Well the guy who made this website is probablly already a rich genius. Cars sold for a few hundred dollars, tv's for only $100, and brand new ipods for merely $50. Here's how it works. Items start at a penny and every bid brings it up another penny, but everybody that bids PAYS a dollar for their bid. so do the math. A car is sold for $500, which means 50,000 bids...so the guy gets $50,500 for a $20,000 car, but the winner only pays $500. This website is engenius for the creator, but be careful. You could be spending hundreds of dollars and never win anything...so keep in mind...all of the money has to come from somewhere. And in this case its coming from all the people who bid and lost the auction.

would you guys like to have an auction site specially for us?

By this i don't mean a horrible ebay store, just a separate site. One where us geeks, art and green freaks can auction off or sell the stuff we make or own. Ya know like ebay used to be....ahh good times...good times. But seriously, would you? Because i have a domain i paid 3yrs in advance only to find out that they don't allow...adult themes....some jerk waits until a few of us run a site for a couple of weeks, then decide to update the new TOS(POS really) but auctions and stores are completely ok. so come in and let me know, should i start something like this or not? I have a template started so far. just need the green light to go. :)

Selling custom metal sonic screwdriver on ebay

Hello, Starting November 14, I will auction off three sonic screwdrivers machined out of aluminum (three different auctions). The sonics are made the same way as the two I made in my Dr Who Sonic Screwdriver with Arduino instructables. People have just been messaging me that they do not have the means to create sonic screwdrivers the way the instructables show and if I I can make them one instead. Well as people have asked, I made three and will be up for grabs on Ebay the evening of November 14. Sorry, I only had enough material and time for 3 sonics. I have started the auction. Auction link for one of the sonic screwdrivers is here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121218867272?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 thanks.

Night Photos of Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch

Jonathan Haeber shot some inspiring night photos of Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch. Haeber gained access to Neverland somehow and shot many beautiful photos which are available on Flickr.Apparently Jackson's 2,500 acre children-only amusement park was up for auction tomorrow due to a debt of $24 million that Jackson was carrying on the land. Luckily (?) it was announced yesterday that Jackson was going to be able to save the ranch from auction. What's this got to do with Instructables? It's easy to see from the photos that just about everything in the Neverland Ranch is custom made and tailored specifically for the needs of Jackson and the children. Such craftsmanship, so unique, so well executed - could Michael Jackson be the ultimate Maker?via Laughing Squid

Thx for your input!

What can I do with these? Are the parts reusable for something else?

Best way to sell small motors on Ebay, or other site? Answered

I have several small DC motors.  I would like to auction them on Ebay. I'm pretty sure they are all permanent  magnet motors. 3 are stepper motors from printers, and two are carriage motors from printers, and I think I got 2 little motors from an old 3.5" floppy. Should I sell them as one lot, or group them in their different types? I've pretty much figured out that selling them separate isn't going to give anyone a very good deal.
