International Band

I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if someone could start a band where each member has never met before and lived in another part of of the world. For recording and coming up with songs they would sort of make a conference call or a webcam conference and meet up that way. They would then send each of they're recordings of their part that they played together to one person who combined them for the song. I don't know just one of my random thoughts. Interesting though.

Product shown in stainless steel 3D Printed and Tested !! Velcro watch band tip will lose stickiness as it ages, and then scratch anything it encounters. This buckle is used to cap the band tip, keeping it from scratching your cuffs of sleeves, especially in winter days. Band saw recommendations

I am looking to get a new band saw for the workshop. My previous experience is in woodwork in large workshops so I have always shared a large band saw but now my place of work wishes to get one and wants to cut a variety of materials. Do you have any recommendations for good small band saws in the UK? Is second hand better than new? Is a tension guide worth it?We would like to be able to cut:Thin sheets of plastic (Acrylic, ABS, HIPS up to 6mm)AluminiumMDF, plywood and wood.Basically items that will made on the CNC or vacuum former.I am the most experienced staff member with this machine and although I have used them extensively for woodwork I have only changed the blades, serviced and cleaned them a handful of times. Does anyone have any advice about good maintenance or band saw use etiquette? Many thanks,

I'm possibly back? A few oldies and memories, and just a big update forum

Wassup guys? Some of you may remember me, some of you may not. I was originally Superjustin18, but decided to change to Flumpkinz... cuz it's funny sounding! Whats NEW? Well, I've matured a lot... and I'm 13 now. That's right, all this time I've been to young for an account. But now I'm old enough, so no more guilt haha. My music taste has grown. Instead of being based on Punk and Metal, I now like Folk, Deathcore, and so many different extents of music. Another thing Is that now I actually have friends (which is the reason I haven't been on recently lol. Going back to old times, heres an oldy for Instructables. But since it's been SOOO long since I've been on, I just thought I'd ask. What are you're favorite bands? Or, if you want just post bands you listen to. Now, last time I did one of these, my heaviest band on there was Scar Symmetry. Now my heaviest is probably the Faceless.  I'll post videos below. To answer my own question The Faceless - Prison Born http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRF0cPnw0A0 Avenged Sevenfold - Welcome to the Family http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-iOKHjy3sQ Disturbed - The Infection http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h23hxsG6BM Gaelic Storm - Johnny Tarr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlqdqNGhJaA Ughh, too much more haha. Bands like Diecast, War of Ages, etc.

Band saw part missing?

Need a little help here. This is a craftsman 10" band saw. The image is directly below the cutting surface. I suspect there is a part missing, maybe a guide or roller. Where the arrows are in the picture, there are holes as if a bar should go across to hold a roller. Can someone please confirm there's a part missing, tell me the name of the missing part and hopefully where I can order a new one? One day I was cutting, the blade broke. No big deal, right? I put a new blade on and continued working. It runs pretty well, but the blades pop off pretty easily. It gets very frustrating. Later, I found a wheel (about less than 1/2") in the sawdust. It could only have come from the bandsaw. I didn't find any other parts, but they could have been sucked up by the vacuum. Thanks for the help!

favorite music artists/bands?

Ok, i just want to do a bit of a survey here, ill just start with my favesfavorite music band:shop boyz- their song "party like a rock star" was awesome, its part one of my theme song. their remix is cool, and is my second part.............favorite music solo artist:i would declare this a tie between Chris Brown and Soulja boy. Chris brown's "kiss-kiss" was tight, especially on the t-pain solo part, his other song was good too...........Soulja boy made the tight song "soulja boy tellem". He also made a little spin- off of the song, which is the song "soulja boy with soulja girl". and his last one "YA!", i liked that one, it expressed his real feelings as a celebrity perfectly........................ oh, and DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE DANCE....................so what is your favorite song artist?

Electric bike band brakes.

Hi all. A few weeks ago I asked on here about batteries for my bike and got some very useful input, as a result I bought a set of batteries from great dealer who was not only able to supply batteries matched to my bike but also gave me a remarkably decent discount and delivered them in two days, they cost me almost £40.00 less than the ones I bought a few years ago and the bike is now running better than ever. I now have another problem I'm hoping to get some help with, the rear brake on my bike is a band brake which I suspect has not been changed since the bike was new, it still works but not nearly as well as it should so it's time to replace it with a new one. When I rang the importer and sole stockists of these bikes in the UK about some other replacement parts a few months ago I asked about a replacement brake and they are asking the outrageous sum of £38.00 plus VAT and shipping for one meaning I would be paying out around £57.00. I know these brakes are quite common so had a hunt around the web and I have found quite a few with prices ranging from £5.00 to £19.00 but have some questions about size. The casing of the brake on my bike around the drum is around 4 1/2" diameter I have found various sizes available some smaller some larger but looking at the way it is mounted it seems to me that I could use pretty much any size I wanted providing the pitch between the two holes used to mount the drum on the wheel is the same, unfortunately none of the brakes I have found gives details like this. Does anyone know about these type of brakes and if the mounting holes are the same standard pitch on all the sizes of drum? if so would I be correct in thinking I could mount any size brake I wished? if I can I would be tempted to increase the braking power by fitting a larger one than it currently has. Thanks in advance for your help. NG.

Big Band Music Stands

I am the leader of a 17 Piece Big Band. Just like Glenn Miller or Harry James, I need to find a way to make some inexpensive but deco looking music stands. In the old days, they used to make them in all types, sizes and styles. Today, they have one kind. I would like to find a way to make some myself that can fold up and be transported fairly easily. If you have an idea of how to do this, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to email me if you have questions. The stand should be in two parts, the base and the shelf. The shelf should sit on the base. The shelf should also have a lip for the music to sit on without sliding off. The total height of the back of the stand should be 36". The height of the front of the stand, where the music sits, should be approx 29". The width of the top portion, the part that holds the music, should be 22". The lip should be 3 to 31/2 inches. The base will vary depending on style and shape. I look forward to anyone who thinks they have a way to make these. They need to be strong enough not to blow away in wind, yet easy to fold and carry. After all, I will be moving 17 of them each time I perform. As far as the style, well, the more art deco looking the better. If I could have anything I wanted without the worry of cost, I would choose stands that looked like the front of a car from the 1930's and 40's. It would look as though it had a grill in front along with the large round lights, perhaps a cap on the radiator, large wide fenders and whitewall looking tires on the side. Now, that is just my if I could have anything idea. reality says a simple square or perhaps v shaped stand. Solid colored, perhaps made from corrugated plastic. Thanks for looking and giving this some thought. Blessings! Ashley ideas@mrlivemusic.com
