Metal bic-style lighter? Answered

Hey all. I'm looking for a compact turbo lighter. I wanted to get something BIC-Mini-styled, but made of 100% metal. I've been looking for something similar for quite a bit of time but found nothing. Can anyone recommend me something? Is there a way I can convert a regular lighter to turbo, in case I find a regular metal BIC? Thank you.

How do you remove the bottom of a Bic lighter so you can make it a secret stash box?

How do you remove the bottom of a Bic lighter so you can hollow out the base to hide items? Kind of like a secret safe-ordinary items that have a secret compartment-books-soda cans-etc. Their is a guy on E-bay that makes them but you have to buy them for $7.00 bucks:)

Ok this is that parts that I invented not anyone else I. 1 1$ laser 2 a second pencil(ok i stole this idea from a comments. one super small handale.(like a staple but 1 centamiter loneger and harder. Question on attaching the round to the square.....

I need to attach a tube (it is fairly rigid, like a bic pen body), to a box (coming out of the smaller end of the box) and it needs to be fairly secure as there will be wires running through it and a "pickup coil" attached to the end of the device. The box may be plastic, or it may be metal, I haven't decided yet. I had thought about threading the barrel of the tube and just using two nuts to lock it in. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How do you make a complicated, fully automatic pen gun that fires BB's?

Looking from all pen gun instructables, none is trully fully automatic. I came up with the idea of turning a small crank to pull the firing mechanism then release repeatedly. It's kinda' like a gatling gun. But at my disposal are a few HBW pens and no available nor acquirable Bic pens which are wide enough for BB's. I know how to widen HBW pens for BB's but then it's labor intensive. I need another solution. And by the way, people keep talking about loading up a pen with a gravity feed then blowing as hard as I can through the input hole 2, and BB's would spray out the business end. It appears everything here is too simple, so title changed! Don't give me the previous described method.

coil gun ammo holder

I am currently creating a coil gun within a small nerf pistol. Everything is going well, it all fits within the gun quite nicely actually. But one problem I've realized is that there is nothing keeping the ammo within the barrel (a bic pen tube)  I would like to hear some ideas on how to keep the ammunition (which is currently undecided, if that helps. I'm considering either small steel balls or nails) within the barrel until the coil is activated. It is worth noting that because of the design of this particular gun, the trigger is not a lever, but instead a simple sliding mechanism that hits a button situated right behind it. One option I'm considering is using an electromagnet hooked up to a NC (normally closed) switch also hooked up to the trigger. The magnet would keep the ammunition in place, and pulling the trigger would turn it off. I have already added a sliding switch to turn on and off the gun, and I could wire the second magnet to that switch as well. The complication I foresee arising from that is that the electromagnet may still have residual magnetism for a few milliseconds, which could hold the ammunition in place for longer than it takes the capacitors to discharge. thoughts?

COMING SOON to Nicker987's instructables page.

These are just some of my latest i am thinking about putting on Instructables. Enjoy and leave comments for me to improve or revise. Im only 12 so go easy for now lol.First one:Mini traffic light that can be used as decoration or put in a locker. Just a fun design.Materials:Red, green, and yellow LEDmomentary switch9 volt9 volt clipand some electrical taperesistor (i used 680 ohms)Second one:Slingshot. Me and my friend put this bad boy together one weekend. It fires over 300 feet with proper ammo. At the moment i am testing out metal nuts, washers, and metal balls i got from my bro as ammo. THE POUCH SUCKS. I NEED NEW SUGGESTIONS.Materials:2 pieces of plywood approximately 2" by 22".Screw and nutLARGE rubber bands (or tie some together like i did cuz i ran out of big ones)and a microfiber cloth for the pouch. I am completely open to new ideas for a pouch because i don't really like it myself.Third one:Skewer Shooter. I modified this off of my old one. This one has improved barrels and can shoot more accurately.Materials:Bic penrubber bandduct tape.SORRY FOR CRAPPY PICS I WILL FIX IT NEXT TIME.

Where can I find a screwdriver for an Etch-A-Sketch Animator?

I have an old Etch-A-Sketch Animator from 1986. The rubber membrane buttons barely work now. I would love to take this apart and clean out the buttons but the security screws in this are very weird - a funky kind of three bladed thing for which I have never been able to find a bit/driver. It's not Tri-Lobe, Tri-Wing or Tri-Groove. It's a standard pan top screw with three slots, separated in the center by a tiny "triangle". The slots come together much more closely than Tri-Groove. The ends of the slots closest to the center of the screw are more shallow than the edges closest to the diameter of the screw. A Tri-Groove might work, but I don't think the driver is going to clear the outer plastic housing. If anyone knows where I can find a bit to remove these, I'd appreciate the help! As far as advice on improvised removal techniques: Dremel techniques or any kind of "use a pair of dikes" technique won't work here because the screw is recessed by about 1.5cm in a channel that is maybe 1mm wider than the screw head. I'd like to avoid "Melt a pen" techniques to avoid damage to the casing and/or getting a pen permanently melted into the shaft. Besides, with the size of these screws (1/4 inch head?) and the age of the device, I doubt a Bic pen will have the torque necessary to pop the screws. (Keeping that under my belt as a last resort, though.) Links to a recommended Tri-Groove set with plenty of differently sized bits would be awesome as a second to last resort. There's so many and I'm a bit out of my element.
