Cant find ALDL on '84 Buick Park Ave.

Car starts easy and runs great till I stop and try to re-start car. Then I get a "check engine" light and it will barely start and barely get me home. Have replaced everything it needed such as: Fuel pump-Re-built distributor-battery-catalytic convertor and it still does it. Want to do the paper-clip trick on the ALDL but I can't find it under the dash. Can anyone help???

How do I remove the shifter knob in my automatic transmission 2010 Buick Lucerne?

I recently became the proud new owner of a 2010 Buick Lucerne CXL, and i'm in the process of customizing a few minor things in the interior. Which leads me to my question. As I think the stock shifter knob is very boring and of course standard-looking, I am attempting to replace it with an aftermarket knob that uses set screws. However, I cannot work out how to remove the stock shifter knob to put the new one in, as it is not threaded like most shifter knobs are. I found on an online forum information about the 2006 edition which suggests that in that model year, the knob friction-fit onto the shift column and all you have to do to remove it is put the car in neutral (with the engine off) and pull straight up on the knob. Does anyone know if this is the same for the 2010 model? ANY help would be very greatly appreciated, as i cannot find any information on my model year anywhere else on the internet, and it is not included in the car owner's manual. Thank you! :-)

OxyHydrogen Internal Combustion Engine Boosting Anyone?

So folks I think I'm gonna give the water-into-OxyHydrogen-into-fuel booster gag a try. There's a couple of shady ibles on the subject, so I wanted a little more professional input. I'd like to go about this all scientific like so my questions kinda boil down to:Measure / calculate the amount of air used by my car in one second (in volume)What's the best catalyst to useMeasure the amount of hydrogen and oxygen produced in one second (in volume)Accurately measure fuel efficiencyI met a chap who did it to his car, I'll try to wrangle some out of him. Bit of an interesting blighter, 50-60ish black chap with dreadlocks from Gloucester.I'll be giving it a try in a less then optimal test vehicle however. Carburated '94 Buick Century, V6. I'm sure the idea would "theoretically" work better in a smaller engine. If this system works at all (upwards of 10% increase in efficiency), I'll make an improved version and iblify it. The car will be used on primarily the same route, a good mix of highway and 40 ish speeds, and I'll leave the air conditioner off full time so's not to get false readings.Any input plz? I'll post some pics of my brave victim car later.

living- Animatronics - California

Hello,     So I have two things to talk about, one I have a few questions and two i have a story. -Story time !     So all my life I have wanted to do Animatronics, and live in California. Well last Tuesday I left my CEMS job (continual emissions                      monitoring), for many reasons. I have had this thought for a while to just pick up and leave. I did really enjoy my job but it was not what i had wanted to do, I was also tired of being lied to and disrespected. So my best friend was packing up the stuff out of his house and moving to another friends house. I told him "let's go to California" and he said "ok, sure" So we left, I had nothing but some friends and family tying me down anyways. So I packed up my Buick and his VW and we set off from Pennsylvania to California with no real plan what so ever. It was great, and still is, mostly ....  -Questions ?     So does anybody do any work with Animatronics, or live in California ? What is the best way to get in ? Wheres the best place to live in CA with access to good tech jobs ? -My experience is 3 Years of electronics, I am ETA certified, I have done FIRST robotics for 5 years and now mentor it, I also have tons of experience with computers/servers, also a good bit of CEMS experience. I am currently in Sacramento California, and just looking for some good advice Thanks Robert
