As my depression era ancestors would say, those plastic containers that coffee comes in are "just too good to throw away." Other than the obvious uses as a bailing bucket or a scoop, does anybody have a really inventive application? Maybe this could be an "ible" contest.

Does anyone have the best way to connect cans, like the ones pineapple come in? I am a high school art teacher and the art one classes make it their mission to destroy whatever they can. They don't care what it takes to mess things up, no matter how hard you try to make things look nice. I've restricted them to their seat because otherwise they try to meander around the room. It's very frustrating. So, if they can't get up, they must have their supplies at hand. The cans have a slight lip, so they aren't flush against each other. I just plan on painting them black and grouping them in fours. Honestly, I would still like them to look decent. Any ideas?

By canned food cans, I don't mean soda cans, I mean the cans that pineapple and corn and other stuff come in, just to be clear. From what I know, it's probably not aluminum because it is magnetic. So what metal is it? Is it combined with different metals?
Question by Orange robot | last reply
Is it true? If so, can they be separated and recycled at a higher value than the cans?

I am Made/making ( i've made one so far ) some Par cans (DJ lights). I would like to know how to build a circuit so the lights can chase each other (chaser circuit). At the moment the lights plug in to the mains and require 230v and 50w to power them. I want the circuit to be safe and I would like to also know what gauge wire I should use. I would like the cost to keep below £20.00 because that would exeed store bought prices. Thank you Oscar

Halo is an LED spraypaint can by French designer Aissa Logerot. The LED light changes colors and brightness and is powered by an internal battery that can be charged by shaking of the can. "It is possible to change the color and the brightness of the led to change the graffiti's styles. If the light doesn't have enough battery, the user must shake it to have energy again."Built on the same principle as LED Light Drawing Pens but with a cool sray can apperancevia Geekologie

I just published my first Instructable. Actually I published it a couple weeks ago unfinished, and updated it as I went along. But I just got around to Downloading the PDF. And it is as the 'ible was when I first published it. Is there any way of updating it without unpublishing it, so I can stop looking like a newb?

I have a 512mb flash drive mp3 player, made by hip street. a long time ago, i was working on a computer. i had just installed the usb ports, so i got the flash drive/mp3 player and plugged it in. a component fried on the motherboard, and windows said that the device malfunctioned. the computer still worked fine, as if nothing happened. alas, the flash drive/mp3 player didn't. it wouldn't connect to the pc. nothing looks fried on the mp3 player, so why wont it work? can it be fixed? i can almost get it to turn on, the power light will flash and then the battery just starts to get really hot. can someone please help? i really want the files off of it.
