hi ive just had an idea for knex guns . basicly you build and post a knex gun not based of anything it would be just a barel mag reciver triger and handle just the basics then people would customise it and it would be done people could give you feed back and maybe post the body they made to be placed on other guns.

Throwie concept

Would it be a good idea to solder one led leg to a battery, and the other to a magnet, the put a tab between the two? Has this been tried before? I want to make a few as "flares" for airsoft. Thank you for your help.

Quadropropellor concept

Last night I had this dream about a bizarre helicopter that used a simple but unique form of a propeller.  Conceptually, I see no reason why it should not work... but I'm not sure if it would be any better or more efficient than a typical propeller.  The idea is that the geared propellers rotate at the tips of the main rotor as it spins.  The outside ring is fixed such that as the central propeller spins, each of the out side disc spin creating lift from both the central propeller as well as each of the four outside propellers.  Because the geared wheels will spin faster than the central rotor, theoretically it might produce more lift than a single propeller (maybe).  I would like to hear other people's thoughts on the concept.  If someone has a 3D printer, it should be relatively simple to make and test.

Concept shotgun

Sorry, no images yet. I was taking them but it turns out I broke my SD card. The switch on it is lost so it's always locked. I'd crack it open and see if I could fix this but it turns out there's already a crack in it and I don't want to break it entirely. The good news though is that I have a second SD card which I'll find tomorrow. I might also get a video. I know it's going to be hard to understand without pictures but this probably won't pass through the filters tonight anyways. Anyways, onto the gun. It's too flawed to be posted itself but I'm hoping someone can take, modify, and make practical the basic concept of this gun. Basically, it's 5 layers wide, including the magazine so that 3 pieces of ammo fit side by side. The next part is a two for one deal. It's a new (as far as I know) front hooked pin where the bands are set up on a connector in front, creating a sort of charging handle like pin. The body has a gap in the sides to allow the connector to protrude out. The rod then goes into the back of the gun acting as its own pin guide. The connector in front hits all 3 pieces of ammo when fired giving it a shotgun effect as well (though you could just as easily use the pin concept for a single shot weapon too). Again, my gun isn't built as good as it could be but so far mine fires up to 4 sets of 3 dark grey connectors and white rods. I used connectors because rods don't like to stack nearly as well as connectors do. It's not too durable for the sake of being compact but you could easily make support structures to make sure the gun stays solid. I'm thinking with the new pin, pump action could easily be set up.

Knex Concept: 1

So just something quick. I got this idea for a more powerful semi-auto. Its basicly a slingshot, when you pull the trigger it pulls back the band and releases it in a smooth motion. Then you pull the trigger back and repeat.  Its nothing speicial, I can't even work on it now because of the railgun though.

concept section suggestion?

Hi everyone it is i fidgety2 with a suggestion for my favorite site i have often had amazing concepts or ideas but have never been able to put them into action because i either lack the proper materials or time or both i would like to suggest a section devoted entirely to concepts and ideas for instructables it would be kind of like making a instructable without making the actual creation of course there could be pictures and schematics via google sketchup and auto desk-like programs so basically it would be exactly like a basic instructable but without the actual product that is all for now thank you, fidgety2

Team Ball Concept

Dear all,first of all, hello to all of you, I'm new to this site, but I've already seen some wonderful things on here, and they are a true inspiration source for the projects I'm working on during my study as an Industrial Designer.I've got a question about a concept of mine, which I will explain briefly to give you an understanding of what I'm trying to create:When playing a sport, let's take football (by which I mean soccer) there's a ball. My idea is to make the ball represent the ball possession (or actually the ball passing between players) of the teams. For instance, you have a blue and a red team, and what I want to do is make the ball color almost entirely blue if the blue team is in ball possession all the time. This way people will be more stimulated to play with eachother, passing the ball to eachother instead of scoring goals individually.The way I want the ball to change color, is by making it detect when it's being kicked, by a football shoe (which has to have some implemented technology as well). So everytime it's being passed from one player to another of the same team, the ball will color more blue or red. I need some help with the technology as I'm totally new to this aspect, 1. How to make the ball change colors? (LED's, or optical fiber: http://www.imtech.nl/SiteContent/EUPortal/Images/ImtechNV/newsroom/succes/17%20glasvezel.jpg, or any other suggestions?)2.How to make the ball communicate with the shoes?One thing I've been looking into is RFID - chips/reader, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaNnOHSJ-cQ, and then make the RFID-chips with a very limited range, so that only when the ball (with the reader) is close enough, the reader will detect the chip.But this seems like a last option, and I actually want something better.What I basically want is that when the shoe and the ball touch eachother, the coloring will happen. The requirements are that the shoes, must contain unique information so that the ball will know on what team that shoe is, another thing is that it can't be fragile, as the ball will be kicked by the shoe.Now as I'm fairly new to technology, I don't expect to build something with the best technology possible. As I have to write a final report, I will just present the technology idea in it. But it would be great if I could actually show an interactive prototype version of my concept. Therefore, if you have any suggestions, please write down the best possible way to create this, and a probably less perfect way that I can demonstrate (I'm willing to learn a lot over the next few weeks).Thanks in advance!

Spiral Drum Mag: Drum mag with two rods that rotate in one direction to push rounds to the outside of the spiral and into a firing chamber. -by Oblivitus Layered Drum Mag: A drum mag with multiple layers that fill the entire space within the drum which both rotates with an elastic and is pushed up by an elastic. When the outer layer is emptied of rounds, the drum moves up and the next layer begins emptying. Turret-Fed Shotgun: A 3 barreled shotgun, each barrel capable of 50 feet of range, that strikes 3 rounds out of a TR-18 turret simultaneously. One trigger pulls all the blocks at the same time during firing. One master pin pulls back the 3 firing pins. snap board concept

Hello everybody, this is a new idea of mine that I want to share with you. the snap board concept. It is made of zip lock bags, card board, and duck tape. This idea could be used in notebooks or you could just make a wall of this and make all different bags and holders that snap on to the zip lock rail. You can slide the bags from side to side if you want. I might put this in a notebook case so that I can customize it with pencil holders and other organizers. Or I might make it so that I can snap on different covers and stuff like that . Please tell me any other ideas to use this idea and comments. I will post an Instructables when I make a true model and get feedback. Please comment and subscribe

Machine Gun Concepts

This is for posting pictures of Non-Chain-Fed machine guns that anyone has thought of, and to discuss the designs. So far Oodalumps' is the only one who has created a Non-Chain-Fed machine gun, which is good, but the ammo is fired vertically, reducing range and power. The other type of Non-Chain-Fed machine gun is the Gatling gun, but it has a low magazine capacity. Perfect Duck's machine gun was almost perfect (could you post some pics if you rebuild it?), except that it was bulky. Below is a picture of a gun I am working on.

From Concept To Product

So the frame is 95% done -- the last bits are: 1. Fit into fairing (that top tube thing will be cut down significantly) 2. Powder Coat 3. Debug (we have more torsional flex than we want) But, it's a LOT of fun. You're butt is 7 inches off the ground. You can cruise at a pretty fast speed with relatively little effort (compared to an upright bike). And it is VERY comfortable. Just showing something coming up -- a video on this has been encoding since 11:30 last night, and it says it has 403 minutes remaining :P Feedback?

Construction ideas for this concept?

Recently, I have been working on a gas 'vaporizer' that evaporates gas before being fed into an engine. During my short-term experiment, I found that this saves ~70% (+-20% for crudity of measurement.) This works because the vapors will burn more thoroughly and cleanly, leading to higher apparent efficiency. Below is a basic diagram of how the system works. You can see there is a container that is half-full with gas, and a hose goes down with many small holes. As the engine's compression draws a vacuum on the container, air will come up through the holes. As it rises, the gas-air surface area rises dramatically, leading to the vaporization of gas. To further increase the surface area, I also added a felt liner on the inside to allow the gas liquid to rise and evaporate. The final mixture ends up very rich, so to compensate, a 'T' fitting has been added to allow air to mix in with the vapors/fumes. Some valves have also been added to control the air inlet (similar to a 'choke') and the amount fed to the engine (similar to a throttle. In fact, it is possible to use the original throttle or choke as a throttle on the carburetor on my tractor!) The problem is: My original design utilized a plastic folgers coffee can, and the flimsy plastic top was hot glued to a thicker plastic cutout for strength and support. Since most glues will dissolve in gasoline, including hot glue, it could not be used. most did not hold anyway. I also tried JP weld plastic cement and it did not hold at all. I had to trash this build. I did, however, get enough use to run the tractor for several minutes while testing gas use. I found that the tractor used nearly twice as much simply running on gas than the fumes. I did not have the float valve and electric pump hooked up with the prototype. Also the 3/4in housing I used may be a bit constrictive and also seems to get slightly damaged by the gas. It will not be a long-term solution.  So I need to redesign the project, and I am thinking of using a 1-3 gallon bucket that is sealed or a gas tank. I need good almost air-tight seals on everything. I am asking for any ideas related to the construction of this device and any tips you may have.

Knife's Edge- Sketch Up

This is a design I came up with and drew (i guess is the term) into sketch up. The Wings swivel up (shown in second Set of pics). This took about 10-15 hrs of drawing and about 2 hrs of rendering. The wings swivel to maneuver and when landing inside atmosphere. I haven't added weaponry and such so it's still a WIP. But suggestions are welcomed. Tech Specs: - Engines:             10 engines (4 small  large) -Take Off type:       VTOL - Class:                  Frigate - Operation zone: Space/ Atmosphere And for you sketch Up and rendering junkies...  used 40 passes in each render.

New knex assault rifle-Introducing the AR-4 commando- NOW POSTED!!!!!!!!!!!

ITS POSTED!!!ok. a lot of you hated my sniper rifle so i decided to make a new gun-an assault rifle. it uses the new mag idea from katarukito, the mag is a removable clip, the back of the stock is based off the Storm 221. its true-trigger.However, the rifle is still in progress, but pics may be released tomorrow(pics are up!!!). I just wanted you to look foward to something. it is not flimsy, except on the stock (fixed), bolt action.if i post the instructable, and you hate it like my sniper, i'll post two block trigger guns, and then quit knex for a good bitok, the gun is posted. i have introduced other guns with the same name, but they had problems with firing more than one shot at a time and jamming. if you have any problems with this gun's mag, blame Katarukito, because he designed the mag in the first placePROS-good range-not flimsy-has removable clip for 5 rounds-true trigger-pretty comfy-less friction than similar barrels-piece efficientCONS-mag sometimes jams-blame Katarukito on this, i was trying to put it on a gun-not auto-loading---you have to turn a knob on the mag after every shot (however, that produces a pro, Dsman 195276 pointed this out)-you cannot expand the mag to hold more parts-it is always going to hold 4, no matter what you doEXPECT INSTRUCTIONS BY SATURDAY!!!

Need help planning build for my self designed armor.

The first picture is of my costume that i call BURN OUT, it has stilts to make me at least as tall as a few people. Then the next picture is of a costume i designed for a friend. It is called ONYX STORM. I need to know how to see out of burnout's helmet. and i need to know where to start on ONYX STORM. so heres a wrap up of the two;      BURN OUT: burnout is a genetic experiment issued by the military. he is a heat producing bio-form that was issued a suit of armor both to protect him from the heat his body produced, and to institute a sedative that has kept his emotions under control and kept him alive for hundreds of years. then they trained him to fight and adapted his suit for battle. but after accidentally destroying the base he was housed in, he started to run out of the sedative and nearly died until he ran into ONYX STORM.       ONYX STORM: onyx was a five years old when he was taken into the military. he was told his parents were killed during one of his outbreaks. they were supposably killed during the northeast blackout, which he caused. he is a bio-form that produces so much bio-electricity that was powerful enough to power many testlaunches and research for the military.  then he was issued an aging drug to make his body age much faster, then put him on a sedative similar to burn out's. he was put through military training and finally found out what had really happened to his parents, who where killed by the station he was in. in a blind rage he destroyed the base he was in and built a hidout outside of detroit. where he found burnout. that's it, the back story for both characters. as you can see not much is known about burn out.so any ideas on how to see out of the helmets, how to get the various pieces and where to get them cheep?

Rolling House

The Roll It is an experimental house design that was developed at the University of Karlsruhe. To use the house in a different way, just walk along the inside to roll it to create a new up and down. There's a bed, an exercise area, and even a kitchen with a sink. I really wish I could find an explanation of how that last one works. Roll It via Core77

biodiesel fuel shed concept

This is a Biodiesel Fuel Shed concept i thought of. It would be partly underground, have an exhaust hood, and a wet chemical sprinkler system. I thought of it for safety of the user/s in the shed, and also safety for the residents in the houses in the blast radius itf there were to be a catastrophic failure.

Knex Concept : True rifle

This is something I made when I was trying to make a K'nex rod spin in flight. I know there are true rifles like the Tempest, which uses a oodammo, and I know someone else twisted a rod to make it spin. This thing should be able to shoot normal K'nex rods with no modifications. I just built this, but I didn't make it into an entire gun. The red rod in the pictures is the ammo. This uses a K'nex wind up motor to spin the ammo. When you stick the ammo into the motor, it is like a bullet lock. The thing in the third picture is like a ratchet. It keeps the rod from spinning. It would have to be connected to the trigger, so it lets the bullet spin just when the ram hits it. Someone else could make a gun with this idea, but please give me credit for the idea.

Anti-gravity Machine concept

This is a concept I came up with for an idea of an anti-gravity machine.  Let me just state for the record... I do not think this will actually work.  However, while I am quite certain this idea should not work... based upon my limited knowledge of science... it would seem like it could work.  Unfortunately I know I am never going to spend the thousands if not millions of dollars to build this concept to find out. The basic premise of the idea is the use of angular momentum to overcome the force of gravity.  Imagine if you will, a gyroscope spinning at such a high velocity that its outward force overcomes the downward force of gravity.  Naturally, one of the big obstacles is generating the speeds necessary to create the velocity such that angular momentum is greater than downward force. What I essentially propose is a spinning ring that is propelled in the same way as a maglev train.  Using Electromagnetic propulsion or EMP to accelerate a ring in a vacuum by the utilization of a flowing electrical current and magnetic fields may in theory generate the speeds necessary for the force to overcome gravity.  Unfortunately, the power to run such a vehicle and the weight to power ratio are significant obstacles. Two of these rings above one another I theorize can create tremendous propulsion if the angles of the rings were changed.  Using hydrolics to change the angle of alignment of these two rings may create incredible forward momentum.  Once more, such a vehicle would not be limited to operation within Earth's atmosphere unlike jet or other propulsion mechanisms.  In fact, it should operate at peak efficiency in a zero gravitational environment. This is all theory... and I'd love to know if it is indeed as crazy as it sounds.

Making a foam bed (concept)

Just had a flash of genius (or possible stupidity). What if you took a mattress cover put it in a wood bok just slightly larger then the cover and filled it with low density expanding foam. Does anyone think the is a possible way of getting a passable diy mattresses?

making concepts out of cardboard

I dont have much money but i have some card board, i've made an actual length sword from an anime (just the outline and taped the extra cardboard pieces with tape) and a cartoon character robot arm out of cardboard (this one i made an actual glove-like arm with finger holes that i can actually wear) because i figured this would be a good way to have an idea of how i could make them when i finally get money to buy real materials to make them with real details... What do you all think bout this? is making concepts out of cardboard a good idea or what other cheap materials can i use to make better concepts?

Self-Stirring Cup Concept

The cup doesn't really stir itself on its own, but it has a ball that fits into a groove that can be swirled around to mix up your tea and sugar. It's a funny concept that's looking for a manufacturer, but is there a problem with stirring out there that I'm not aware of? Also, do you want to be swishing HOT tea in your hand in the morning before you've really woken up? Sounds like a noisy recipe for disaster to me and that's assuming you can keep the ball and cup together after a couple of washings. Linkvia Neatorama

Patchwork fabric paving concept.

On Freshome, via NOTCOT; Juliana Santacruz Herrera decided the streets of Paris were too gloomy and needed a little fresh touch. With these in mind she came up with the concept of decorating the potholes of the city using colorful strips of fabric. These were placed randomly in shallow breaks and cracks, creating a fun and colorful change in the landscape. The artist’s visual intervention brings a happy touch to the gray streets of Paris and creates a fun and appealing contrast with the dark cement. But what if we were to take this idea further? If you like how this photos look, perhaps you could use them as a source of inspiration when it comes to patching up your own courtyard, patio and so on. Sounds practical? So, how could it be made (reasonably) practical? Maybe a pourable clear or translucent resin?  What do you think?

Concept for Pump + Bolt Action

I had this idea for awhile. Basically you combine the pumping action of a pump and the loading action of a bolt action to get something with a high RoF and high power without needing a turret. The idea is quite simple really. My idea is to have a bolt loading pin attached to a pump that contains the magazine. when you pull the magazine back far enough it will load a round into the chamber. When you move the pump back the bolt pin will push the piece of ammo forward with it. Anyone feel up to making something like this?

Feedback-Clarinet Bike Concept

Not sure which forum this would fit into most effectively so I placed it here. I have quite a significant number of junk clarinets and I am looking to make/decorate a bicycle with them. It would clearly not be safe to make the frame from clarinets so I was thinking Id build it off of an old, black frame. The question comes down to construction. I am not sure how I would go about doing it. The inside of a clarinet is too narrow to slide down a bike's frame even if you could get it there. I considered drilling out the middle then cutting it in half in an attempt to affix it to the frame, but Im not sure. The other consideration was to remove all the metal pieces from a clarinet and attach them to a black frame in a manner reminiscent of clarinets. I also considered a variety of accessories, reed themed basket, clarinet-bell horn, etc. Any thoughts on the concept, additional ideas and/or ideas about the construction. Thanks!

MIG Soldering Iron Concept

The plan is to modify a existing soldering iron remove the tip have a small nozzle at the front (made of a thick disk of metal, drilled with a normal bit until a small hole is poked, thus making a cone nozzle)(thinner than what i put in the picture, because the taper should be 45 degrees) the area where the tip is screwed in to will be where the solder liquidfies a hole will be drilled above that for a flexible copper tube to guide solder in the tube will be heat sinked so the solder only liquidfies when it is near the chamber the solder will be feed with some sort of unreeling mechanism or something that is controlled by a button the feed will be guided to the copper tube via another sort of tubing the pressure of adding solder will force the liquid solder out the nozzle the goal is to have a tiny drop of liquid solder, small enough for average through hole soldering, come out with a press of a button. flux should be applied before. does anybody see anything wrong that could happen with my concept? does anybody have other ideas and suggestions? had this been thought of before?

Auto-chambering Repeater Concept

I just got this idea a couple days ago talking to Jammy. Here's a crash course physics lesson: When a larger object (a pin in this case) hits a smaller object (ammo in this case), only enough energy to make the ammo fly faster is transferred. This is because it takes less energy to make something of less mass move at the same speed as something with more mass. So as soon as enough energy is lost in the pin and gained in the ammo, they fall out of contact and the rest of the energy in the pin is wasted. You can't really make pins any more efficient than they already are, so I figured I'd try utilizing the otherwise wasted energy. I figured one of the ways you could do this is by making a gun that automatically chambers a round after being fired. It'd be like a bolt action weapon except instead of manually operating a bolt handle, the extra energy would load the the round for you. The result is less effort and more efficient pin use. People may think this is less reliable than manually operating the bolt bin, but I beg to differ. This, in theory, would provide a more consistent chambering action. As long as it's fine tuned, the rounds should load exactly the same each shot. Also, you wouldn't be able to screw up chambering an extra round. You can pull the bolt handle back on a cocked bolt action weapon and easily jam the mechanism. With my concept, you can only chamber a round after the currently chambered one is fired (unless you purposely fiddle with the back of the gun) because the bolt pin relies on the firing pin to operate. I have the front of this gun finished, but I still need to design the bolt pin assembly and the back of the gun to hold it so that I can actually fire this thing, but I'm confident it'll work out very well once I do. Here's a video to demonstrate the concept. I'm hoping that once this gun is finished, it'll be a viable war weapon, seeing how I don't have anything better than my Oodassault at the moment. Or at least if I can't finish mine, someone else can use the concept.

MAC 10 Mechanism Concept

Hey guys. Well, currently, didexo and I are working on a MAC 10. Some of you may have seen his 'ible on the mech he was/is planing on using, so I took that and make something more efficient than his was. I need help on four aspects. 1) Sights. I would really like to see more efficient sights. Ones that look more correct, in other words. 2) A good trigger guard. I truly could not figure out what to do on this score. 3) A good way to make the handle curve. 4) A good way to make the barrel. I cannot figure this out...kinda weird actually. This prototype shoot at least 40 ft., and I am convinced that it could look and preform better with some help from you guys. So, lets here some suggestions... -The Red Book of Westmarch

CPU architecture idea/concept? Answered

I don't know much about CPUs or computers for that matter, but why hasn't anyone got the idea to take a multicore CPU architecture, and stagger the clock frequency of each core and have one shared cache memory between them all in the center so that the 4 cores can run one thread of machine code super fast? I'd imagine the reason we don't see clock frequencies greater than 4GHz is a problem with getting silicon to switch at those frequencies (maybe internal parasitic inductive and capacitive effects at the silicon level?) hence why multicore processors have become a thing? The problem I see with multicore CPUs is that programs need to be written in such a way so they can take advantage of parallel processing threads, and some tasks simply do not lend themselves well to parallel processing. Also, what is it about a CPU that determines the performance? It can't be just clock frequency(s) and the number of CPU cores, surely it has to do with some architecture and instruction-set stuff, but what exactly?

What is the definition of 'development' by World Bank?

I need a few definitions of 'Development' from different perspectives, to clear my concept. I know the term 'Development' is very complex and confusing, so I'm having a little problem defining it. I'm a student of Anthropology (Undergraduate) and recently doing a course on Development Anthropology. Fast food/ restaurant sauce packet extractor!

This is just a crazy idea mostly for novelty purposes. I'm not advocating never paying for condiments again. But hey, maybe you just lost your job, you're a poor college kid, you're mad at McD's because the dollar menu isn't a dollar anymore, or you're just cheap! Or (in my case) you love exclusive sauces not sold in stores and would like a more efficient way of emptying all those hundreds of sauce packets you acquired into bottles :P Lol, let me go into what lead up to my "Huh, that would be awesome!" idea moment. I love(d) Taco Bell's Fire Roasted sauce. And darn them to heck for discontinuing it!!! Um, uh... yeah anyway. I loved it. Alot. So much so that I eventually built up a large cache of packets in my kitchen. One day it occurred to me I would use it more if the sauce was with all the other condiments in the fridge door. For when I prepare something for consumption and have thoughts similar or equal to "Hm, I wonder what would be good on this" I open the door, stair at the sauces, and evaluate. So, I saved a nice glass bottle (a steak sauce if I remember correctly), washed it, and squeezed many, many individual packets into said bottle until I had my very own "Bottle of Taco Bell's Fire Roasted Boarder Salsa Sauce". A practice I continued for several years. Many of my friends thought it was awesome. Other's thought I was crazy. In the end it didn't matter what other's though. The sauce called to me and I answered. Faced with the same decision I would do it again and I have no shame in that. Just in case you are actually interested, when I heard they were discontinuing my favorite sauce I made arrangements with the manager of the local taco bell to obtain their remaining boxes of sauce. And it was enough to last me until... today. As I squeezed the last few packets of Fire Roasted Boarder Salsa Sauce into its bottle that has served me so faithfully these many years an idea hit me. The concept of a machine that would extract the sauce for you. Pour packets in and sauce comes out. My first reaction was "this would have been very useful several thousand packets ago!" lol. Then I really started contemplating it as a "for the hell-of-it" idea and project. There are just so many different, possible ways of how one might work. Just with the squeezing mechanism (after the packet(s) is somehow automatically slit open). With a double roller one could squeeze several at a time or in serial progression. Or perhaps stack them in the same orientation inside some sort of press. Much experimentation would need to be performed to determine the optimal extraction method. Anyone interested in giving it a go?

Hi-Cap horizontal magazine concept

Here is a concept I came up with a while ago. Basically, it is just a mechanism that allows a normal grey connector mag (I.e. One that would be used vertically) to be used horizontally, and so solving the problem of the low capacity of traditional knex horizontal magazines. However it is not without issues. The model used in these pictures is rather large, and there is an issue where the pusher cannot push the last connector out fully. Anyway, I thought I'd just I'd post this so if anybody is interested, they can use this concept and/or improve it so all issues are fixed. Just make sure to give me credit pictures: 1) overview  2/3)  overview of the mechanism 4) the red rod blocks the rotating mechanism so that no ammo falls out when not in use. Pull it out to initiate feeding

Below Barrel Pistol Concept (BBPC)

Hi guys! This is my new pistol concept! Its mechanism is actually pretty simple, and I have tried it once, and it actually works! Let me explain how it works: As the bullets (in this case white rods) are pushed up the guide (see picture below, it is named "bottom of loading") they are shoved up against the trigger. When you pull back the FP (Firing Pin), and it locks into position, this pushes the trigger up, pulling the first bullet go up into the chamber. When you pull the trigger, the bullet is shot out the barrel, and the next round is ready to go into the chamber. Repeat until your out of rounds. Knex Concept: Multi-Staged Bow.

Well, I don't know whether this has been done before. a design for a multi stage, railgun style bow. It uses as many bows as you want linked up. Here is a picture and how it works. 1. The trigger is pulled, letting go of the first bow's elastics. 2. The elastics catch on the bullet, propeling it forward. 3.When the bullet reaches here, the trigger will set off the next bow, boosting the bullet even more out of the barrel, 4. This will be complicated to time as it will all happen in a fraction of a second. The key to make this work is to time the second bow to fire just after the first, like the SwagBoss. Even then it would take some fine-tuning to get right. Build it if you want, I don't have parts for something so big. Picture; Blue-Secondary trigger Green-Primary trigger Brown-Elastics

8-Shot Deconstruction Round Concept

A long time ago, I looked at Mepain's 8-Shot Deconstruction Round Revolver, and I really liked the idea, but as all concepts, it didn't shoot far. Within 20 minutes the other day I had made a small, real-triggered pistol (cock+revolve+shoot) with 8 shots, where the firing pin hits a white rod off of a snowflake connector. This was meant to be a simple revolver for people with few pieces, or who just want a fun gun. At a 45 degree angle, I won't lie, it probably gets around 10-20 feet, depending on the wear and tear of your pieces. It won't win any wars, it is a simple sidearm so you can build more piece consuming firearms. I will have pictures up shortly. Edit: I've improved range by some number, and it is now more complex and piece consuming but more reliable, and the clip design has been perfected. Advantages over guns with magazines: - Never Jams. Ever. - Slanted handle with no magazine inside. No broken pieces or clumsy mag pushers in your way. - Bullets are spread out in a circle. It is very compact, especially if you use green rods instead of whites. - Detachable wheels. This means quick reload if you have extra wheels pre-built. - Easy trigger pull. You don't need a super-powerful rubber band to make it shoot far, so the trigger pull is smooth and easy. - Super easy to build. You don't need to be an expert in k'nex to know how this works. Because it takes up less space and pieces than a magazine, and the clip design requires no rubber bands (unless you really want auto-revolver) this design could easily be perfected and expanded upon to a rifle, or high-powered weapon. It uses one black Y-connector, for the trigger, and I'm sure there's another way to do it, but this is probably the best. I can't find my camera; when I do, I will have pictures up. Probably not instructions because the thing is easy to build from pictures and a pain to take apart, but I'll be answering questions frequently when it's up and posting helpful pictures to anybody who requests it.
