No cookies?!

I made an account two days ago, but can't sign in at home. I'm currently using my college computer, which logs in fine. Some other login problem posts mentioned cookies not being enabled, however Instructables doesn't seem to be trying to set any cookies. I set FireFox to auto accept all cookies, but when I check the cookie log, there are none from Instructables. Other websites work fine. I checked this computer and Instructables is setting cookies. I also tried IE7 and same problem. Anyone have any idea what's happening?

diet cookie recipe?

I am looking for a recipe that duplicates the one on Good Morning America.  I think it was a  Dr. Seigle talking about the cookies.  Six a day and then eat a reasonable evening meal. Supposedly this cookie contains amino acids and is the weight loss answer to the universe.  I just want a reasonable facsimile to make for my family.  Anyone?

Can't figure out simple kitchen tool

I hope someone can give me some ideas on this.  I want to make a dough cutter/cookie cutter grid. It would cut 1/2 inch squares and the grid would be at least 12" x 18" (864 squares-like a checkerboard).  If that's not feasible, then a tool that would cut 1/2" strips, and I would turn it to make the squares. I'm thinking the cutting material would be aluminum (which isn't easy to solder).   Thanks for any suggestions.

Login status doesn't seem to persist among pages

I'm using firfefox 3.6.8 under winxp.  I opened the "https://www.instructables.com/id/Secret-Poster-Stash/" url from my instructables email this morning, and the site didn't recognize me, so I entered my login info at the top of the page.  The header didn't update to show my logged in status, and I was still unable to do pro things to the instructable itself (view all on a single page).  If I clicked the link to the main page, I showed up as logged in.  I tried reloading the poster stash page, and killing that tab and entering it as a new link from a new tab still got the same result. I waited a while and then opened it as a new page again, and finally it showed me as logged in. Not sure what's going on, but I figured I'd mention it. --Regis

how can i make a javascript cookie array?

Hello, i am currently programming a shopping cart for my website, which can at the moment go one of two ways 1. everytime an item is added tot he cart, it adds the following variables " " image page url / Name " quantity  Price  + /N " to a variable which is written to the body of the shopping cart  page using document.write, like this example "image" lighter (as url) , 2 , $12 --newline-- this means however users cannot edit shopping cart items once added to cart, nor can they change quantity 2. everything is placed in a cookie array, and is printed like this var cookies +1 set array new item [ cookies] ; name ; quantity ; value and thats that, however i do not know how to make such a long array , or how to make a string printed like that which's values can be read like that, made into a cookie. please help!

Fungus, where do you get the patches for the cookie jar?

You host these Cookie Jar events that are much loved by the community, partaking a few times myself. I just have to know though, where do the patches come from? I know the number you give out far exceeds the 45 you get free for going PRO, so do you buy extra just for us? Special rules for that sort of thing?

Keep me logged in fails in Chrome 9

1. On the Home page after you click Login it opens up a user name and password box, but I see no Remember Me checkbox. (And why not always show login boxes if user is not logged in; why require an extra click?) 2. When I log in on some non-Home page, such as when leaving a comment, I *do* see a keep me logged in box, but the site never honors it. I *always* have to log in fresh here every single time no matter what I select. Highly annoying. My cookie settings are: Allow local data to be set (recommended), with nothing else set, no exceptions. Great site otherwise.    --David

WANTED: Recipe for Clear Gel or Glaze (ala Wilton Sparkle Gel)

I recently made my first trial batch of Unicorn Poop, but I ran into a problem!  I tried using the Wilton Sparkle Gel as suggested, and it *looks* fantastic... but it *tastes* bad.  D:  I wasn't sure if it was just me, so I tried it out on my beau, and then a couple of co-workers.  The verdict: plain cookies tasted better than the Wilton-covered cookies.  Oh no!!  That means that my Unicorn Poops will look old and crusty, instead of wet and sparkly!  (The horror, amirite?) I'd like to "glaze" them so that they can hold onto all the sparkles and decorations that make them so whimsical (as if rainbow colored poop cookies need the help!!) but I don't want to share cookies that taste sub-par because of the decorations. Does anyone have any suggestions?  I'd like to make my own glaze, and ideally it would "harden", or at least dry "unsticky" (not a word) so that transporting them wouldn't be a hassle.  Maybe glycerin?  Light corn syrup?  I'm open to suggestion!

I'm not looking to seal it into a block of acrylic, I want to keep it looking like the original cookie.Yours unpreservedly,- FP

Hot Cookie Lava Cake Dough

I've been making chocolate lava cakes and they start to get boring after a while. I'm going to try to bake soft cookies now to see if I can find a cookie recipe with a soft cookie texture so does anybody know any things where instead of just pure chocolate I can make a cookie crusting for the chocolate lava cakes? Not accepting 3rd party cookies at Instructables.com preventing commenting

I've turned off acceptance of all 3rd party cookies in my browser. Because of this, I am not able to post a comment to anyone's Instructable. I get how analytics help drive your business, so you need to use a server based solution vs using client-side (using 3rd party pixel.quantserve.com click/data capture) to do so [I'm accepting cookies from your domain]. Blocking 3rd party cookies is pretty common.  [Mozzilla was even considering making it the default, before enough lobbyists have complained that Congress sent a letter to Mozzilla asking that they not do that] Accepting the quantserve cookie, as a REQUIREMENT for commenting is just not kewl!
