Hello, I'm a newbie to this site and I'm trying to figure out how I can download the information In PDF format.  Every time I hit  the PDF button, it asks for my ID and for my password which I put in, but then it goes back to the original site. I can't figure out where or if anything is been downloaded. I 'd appreciate  some help on this. Best regards Rolando

Every time I try to download an instructable, or try to save the pdf file, my computer freezes up , starts rattling, and will not respond at all.  The only way to stop it is to turn the computer off. Any suggestions? Jeff

 Hi, I am unable to download any of the projects. Some it tells me I need to log in, I do that but it never works. Others just show me a blank page. I use Firefox if that helps.  Please help--Selena

I click on the yellow button to download an ePub and it takes me to a page describing the ePub, but not the ePub itself. How can I download the ePub?

I have a pro membership and when I try to download the instructables ebooks I can´t find the download link. I only get a table saying all the formats. How do I download them? BTW: I am not trying to download ebooks from the store, it´s just the normal ebooks. Att. JOao

When I download files they save as .tmp files with random letters as names (such as IUGSBF.tmp).I found a manual fix, but you have to do it for EVERY file you download.It appears that others are having this problem as well.manual fix

Hello, I am a new Pro user and when I try to download Instructables PDF's I am directed back to the PDF download page. Some Instructables will allow me to download their PDF's however. I don't see anything common to the instructables that either work or don't, so I am pretty confused. If it helps at all, the custom PDF download does not work at all. Thanks for the help.

When I try to download PDFs my screen locks up, nothing is downloaded, and I have to Ctl-Alt-Del into Task Manager to kill the application (the browser.) I am using IE8 and Windows 7. Any suggestions?

I cannot figure out how to download an e-book. I click on 'download'. However it just takes me to a page about that book. There is a matrix to tell which program to use depending upon your computer type. I cannot find another link to click that will start the download process. Please help. Thanks

Lots of good ebooks available but I can't download any. No instructions given. I have ADOBE DIGITALwhich has a butten to download NEW but I don't have a file name . the first one I want is COPY CAT CANDY but there's no way  to click on that file name. also, you can drag and drop, but again nothing to ckick on to drag. If anyone knows how to download these ebooks to computer (not an ereader) please help. P.S. I've downloaded booksfrom my public library. No problem. Thanks, Mara

I am sure I must be doing something silly but I have tried both Firefox and IE and don't see any way to download ebooks anymore.  When I am logged in and click download the ebook it brings me to a general description page on one tab, a table of contents on another tab, a small table below that lets me download various readers but I don't see any actual link that lets me download the book in question.  I have looked in my downloads folder thinking that maybe it happened in the background or something but that also isn't the case.  There is also a View Instructables link that just brings me back to the page that has the Download ebook link.

Can anyone tell me why i cannot download instructables any more ?I keep getting error message :{"error": "You are not allowed to look at that."}

Hi, I've just activated a premium membership but can't seem to be able to download any PDFs of Instructables. When I click 'Download PDF' it asks me to buy a pro membership when I am still logged in to my account. On previous Pro Memberships this has been fine. Any suggestions/help welcome. Hi guys I don't know where to post so I decided to post here. When I am looking at a instuctable and when I click the download PDF I can download it can someone tell me why this is I tried it on 3 different PC's

In two separate categories today I have tried to download the PDF but instead of the PDF of the page I am on, it goes directly to some LED throwing light instructions. Disappointing as today is my only day to browse this website for goodies and save them for future use.

Every time i try to download anything...it sends me to " go pro.. and I am already a pro...over and over I sign in..over and over I try to download.. and it takes me back to sign in over and over...then go pro... I am so sick of this... I have recommend a lot of friends on facebook to your site and some have gone to your site... so why can't you fix this problem... I have reported it before... tired of wasting my time.

The download button at: https://www.instructables.com/id/Vector-etch-anodized-aluminum/ produces nothing but a gray screen, even if left for some time.  This is an older instructable (I'm replacing files from a damaged backup file) and something seems to have gone wrong.  All the other pdfs I downloaded at the same time worked fine.  I'm using Safari 10.1.2 on a Mac Pro running OS X 10.11.6.  Not that I think this problem relates to my system.  Hope you can fix it.

Hello, I'm super super new and extremely out of my element unless I have my nose in a book or I'm puttering in the kitchen so I'm struggling a bit here. I am in a situation where I only have access to the internet at school. I go home some 20 min away to my apartment to build instructables. though I was wondering if there was any way to package all the pictures and html from an instructables so one could easily view it offline. Say at my apartment where i'm trying to build the BAWLS led light. Long story short, is there anyway to get zipped instructables files? Or does anyone know any good programs for downloading pages for offline viewing? thanks

I am looking to record music on a piece of free software, and export to CDs so I can make a sample tape, and also I would like to have something to record a backing track for my guitar solo competition. I am interested in making podcasts too, and this looks like a good program for it. Would you recommend Audacity? I've used it before at school for podcasts, and I have heard excellent things about it. I am 95% sure, but is there any free audio editing software that you would reccomend over audacity? I am using windows vista home premium by the way.

When an instructable has more than one page of responses, only those on the first page (or so) are included in the download.  Usually I do a custom pdf without the comments, but every once in a while there's one with a whole lot of discussion and additional information that would be nice to have in the pdf.  I know there's a link to the 'ible page at the end, but that requires an internet connection which might not be available.  Thanks---

Cant seem to find a wa to determine how many viewers have actually downloaded a pdf of my Insturctables. Doesn't seem to be an option in Stats.

I REALLY LIKE the new Download system--it is a several-clicks improvement over the previous system. About the only thing I wish it did was provide a default title for the saved file. Bravo for the improvement!

PDF won't download: No irrigation raised bed gardening system (Hugelkultur) (It goes through all the steps and the tab in Safari (iPad) says that  a PDF downloaded, but there's no file there.

PDF files will not download, I am using firefox  3.6.10 on a Windows 7 O.S. PDF files from other sites are  downloading OK . I paid for a pro membership  specifically to enable this feature.
