Belt feed

Does anyone have some kide of blueprint on how to make a belt feed MP. I have seen the examples of ones on howstuffworks.com but that isn't helping me much right now. I'm not really sure how I can belt feed it through. I am working with a P.A. Luty's 9mm. Can some one help me on this. If you have been able to make a belt feed system can you show me yours in photos. I think that would also be a great instructable too. I'm not to sure how to make a belt for 9mm rounds either. Instead of sticking with his design on the magazine I think it would be great to have a belt feed system on this weapon.

Feed The Birds Day

"Feed the Birds Day" is, oddly, two days - the weekend of 25th and 26th October 2008.All around the UK, RSPB volunteers will be holding events where the public can learn what to feed garden and wild birds, how to do it properly, and why it is important. You, too, no matter where you are reading this, should be doing your part for your local birdlife, since bird species around the planet are plunging in numbers at a frankly horrifying rate.Follow one of the existing projects, create your own bird-feeding Instructable, or just feed the birds, but every contribution will help.Did you know that a typical nest full of sparrow-sized birds will need anywhere between 10,000 and 50,000 feeds of insects to make it as far as fledging?RSPB Feed the Birds DayWhat, how and when to feed

RSS Feed inconsistencies

I prefer to keep up to date with new posts (specifically in the Food section) via the RSS feeds. Problem is, they are wildly inconsistent with the actual content of the site, it seems. When I check the RSS feed, and then compare that feed to the corresponding page of the Food section, almost none of the entries are the same. I don't know if the RSS feed is just a few days behind or what, but I've had this problem for months! I really want to keep up to date with the posts in the Food section, but the RSS feed is not at all reflecting the current content of the site, and hardly ever changes. On a related note, it would seem that there is only ONE RSS feed per category, but there are different pages within each category (Popular, Zeitgeist, Newest, Featured). RSS feeds are offered on each page, but closer inspection reveals that they are all the SAME feed. I would get a lot more use out of this site if the RSS feeds were correct.

Recent Feed Page

We have heard your feedback loud and clear, and we will be bringing back an easy way to see all recently published instructables. This requires some dev time because we changed things under the hood and need to do a little work to re-create this page. We hope to have it back shortly. We appreciate your patience as we continue refining the site after this release.

My Feed Repeated Posts

When looking at my "Feed" on instructables.com some of the posts repeat themselves. I've atached an image which is zoomed out really far to fit the repeated posts in the same window. This of course makes it difficult for me to discover new instructables.  Info:  Browser: Chrome, version: 47.0.2526.106 m Operating system: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit Steps to reproduce: 1. Signing into my account 2. Clicking "You" in top right corner 3. Clicking "Feed"  4. scrolling down until one has a puzzling feeling of deja vu

featured RSS feed may be leaking future "featured" instructables

I got this one: https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Repair-a-Lawn-Mower-Engine./ and a few others. They occasionally show up on my feed reader but I can't read them in the reader. When I search the site, the istructables do exist, but they are not "featured" yet There were about three others, but I did not get the name before Akregator crashed. BTW, feature request. if there is some way I could "sum" several feeds together  (featured, popular, and a few of my fave authors) such that I only get the instructable once on my feed, even if the user changed the title or did a quick republish a half an hour lator, that would be great

Instructables not updated

Last night, about 2300 PST, I posted an Instructable I've been drafting for a couple weeks now.  It has been over 15 hours, and the Instructable still fails to show up in my profile feed, and in the main page under recent Instructables, It also shows it as being a draft in the summary view of the menu. But inside the profile there is a link to it as an Instructable, it just does not show up on the feed. My other Instructables each showed up almost immediately after publishing. Is there some kind of problem with the system, or did I hit an update cycle just after it finished or something?

How to time a little door so it opens at a certain time? (no need to close)?

I want to build an automatic cricket feeder for my lizard (bearded dragon) because I have to stay home at her eating times and sometimes I want or need to go out. * Ideally I would like to build a small "cabinet" with 1-3 drawers and somehow make the doors open at 11am, 4pm and 9pm, * If this is too hard one door will do but I would need to reprogram it constantly. (crickets would be inside and they would get out as soon as the door opens) * I already have a timer that I can plug and program to 23 different times so I was thinking on using that (or not), It could be something that when on opens or keeps the door open, and I can keep it off the rest of the day with the timer, I just don't know how to do this and how to do something that won't burn after a minute on because that's the minimum time the timer works. * It doesn't need to close back (and that is safer too) * It can't be light activated because some lights are on at all times and another has a timer and goes on for 20 minutes every hour. *It needs to be small because the terrarium is 18inchX18X18 and I don't want to take a lot of room Thank you so very much!!

detergent feed for electric pressure washer

I know there are exspensive or maybe just newer PW's that you can add detergent to but not mine. It's just one of those hardware store 1300 PSI electric models. I'm just thinking that there has to be a way to provide some detergent to my spray. I think tapping into the feed hose with a siiphon rig would be a bad idea cuz then you'd be sending the soap through the pressure pump. It's have to be on the other end but there you have high pressure hose you might not want to cut. My thoughts flow along the lines of some sort of connector pipe comming off the output side that goes between the unit and the spray hose connector. You could make it a bit larger to hold like a dishwasher table or rig some sort of siphon hose (like a hose end sparyer) maybe. I'm not sure. My main thought isn't to use the soap for pressure CLEANING but to use the much greater reach of the pressure sprayer to spread the soap/cleaning solution farther - like up to second story siding. thanks

Wood Stove feeding radiators

Hi, I'm hear again with a completely different question. Again, any help is greatly appreciated :) I installed a wood stove last year, and I'd like to install a coil to heat water and circulate it through my existing radiator loop. I was wondering if I could do it as in the image, I would install a new pump to circulate the water. I have a combination boiler, but I'm sure that doesn't really matter. The green circles in the diagram are to illustrate taps, that way I can close off the boiler when I have the stove on and vice versa.

Feeding your MICRO TURBO

Is your little stream or creek to small to power a turbo generator. Try a Rampump This has several advantages that would not be possible without the use of this most humble and highly functional machine. A Rampump with a small head , can move the water to a reservoir or tank to an elevation of up to 50 - 80 feet, almost no limit with high head. Working around the clock this device can move a lot of water. Volume moved is dependent on water flow and physical size of the pump. with 50 head ft. the micro turbo can output some serious power. 10-15-20 minutes each hour. while draining the reservoir

DIY "FEED BACK CLOCK"

Ok, so I'm currently playing with the idea of making a "feedback clock". Except 1 to 12 is now replaced with 12 speakers, and only having one the hand which would have a microphone attached to the end of the arms. For the rotation of the arm, a geared DC motor. The problem I have is in the construction of this mechanism, so any help or thoughts would be welcomed. My original thought is constructing an amplifier with 12 outputs and 1 input. The input being a receiver, transmission coming from from the microphones attached to end of the arms. OR would it be possible to make individual smaller amps for each speaker and split take the signal from the receiver in to each amp? If I was to do a multi-channel out put amp, does anyone know what circuit design I would be looking at?

Pressure Sensor Feedback loop

I'm trying to build something that will more or less maintain a constant, but adjustable level of pressure, probably driven by an electric motor. I've seen pressure-sensors on this site that increase conductivity with more pressure applied to the sensor, but mechanically I can't think of any way to get my device to work without a pressure sensor to decrease in conductivity with added pressure. Sadly I don't know enough about electrical components or circuitry to make it work with the former. If anyone here would happen to know how I could create such circuit, or can suggest of a purely mechanical alternative I would appreciate it.
