With this link, it should be easy to build a K'NEX automatic. Scroll down to "Blowback Guns" and hold down the trigger.

Hey Everyone, Recently I have been looking at different C02 laser manufacturers to see if there was anything that was affordable but still of professional quality, and I stumbled accross Full Spectrum Lasers. I am wondering if anyone on the site has any experience with their products and their customer service. The reason I am asking is because their prices almost seem too low; comparable Epilog lasers seem to cost at least twice as much. I know that Epilog is probably one of the biggest names in the industry and have apparently been around the longest, but I don't see how that alone could cause such a price difference. So basically, if any of you have had good or bad experiences with Full Spectrum your knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Nathanael Scheffler

I have been trying to make a full auto turret that shoots yellow rods and so far it has been going so so. So I have been wandering if anyone knows a way that would work to make a full auto firing pin or mechanism or something that is full auto and shoots over 25 feet. I don't mind modifying it but the idea would be nice. Credit will be given where credit is deserved. The size does not matter though either because I am trying to make a big turret.

I set up an extra monitor on a shelf so that I can watch video from bed. Now i'm looking for some full screen applications i can keep it busy with, and was hoping some of you have ideas? Think along the lines of clocks (but not a clock, or digital picture frame). Volume bars that work via the computers mic or a flash RSS reader would be cool. Thanks!

It has just been pointed out to me that I have passed my tenth anniversary on Instructables - I first signed up January 6th, 2006, and have signed on almost every single day since, holidays and long-haul flights excluded. That's just... Over ten years. Gosh. The only things I've been involved with for longer are my relatives!

My design for a new machine gun i would like to know if i should post it uses the mag/hopper from OSNJCKMA2 stock from M16 slightly modded the new rack and pinion design by bakenbitz i have clipped them all together and it looks ok. its a bit flimsey so any one can modify it. you can put the stock pushing into your shoulder or resting on top so it looks like a rocket launcher. it shoots blue rods about 10-20feet with 2 weak rubber bands. i've used a hand crank so it can be more powerful. question is should i post it? hope you like :)

The Olympics are supposed to be the "green" Olympics this year.Since they are going to be held in Beijing they are going to have a fun time making it green. One way they are doing this is all the aircraft that will be flying the athletes will be powed by bio-fuel derived from the jatropha tree. The people in charge of the commercials and filming it wanted to make a way to inform the people watching about this.At Full Belly(who has their headquarters in Wilmington NC) they make various machines designed to shell nuts.Jock Brandis(head-honcho, inventor of the nut sheller) was contacted and asked to make an electric Jatropha sheller. This sheller is going to be shipped down to Miami and will shell Jatropha nuts at a Jatropha farm while being filmed and a commercial will be born.I am helping make this sheller at the headquarters! So my finger prints(and a little tiny bit of blood) will be in the Olympics! (not really, just in a commercial during the Olympics)So, if you do nothing at all with your life, make sure you at least watch the Olympics to see the commercial!

Does anyone remember a specific fully automatic gun? It looked like a magazine in and of itself. You fired it by pressing on a rod protruding from the bottom. It fired dark grays. If anyone remembers it and knows where to find it, please link me to it. Thanks, DrWeird

Scope this post at CRAFT to learn how to upcycle your old wool sweaters into felt! Brookelyn compares and contrasts the techniques and benefits of hand-fulling vs. machine-fulling, and shows us samples of the results. Fulling is the process of turning knitted or crocheted wool into felt. So check it out, and start upcycling those old wool sweaters into new Instructables!

Hey, I've been having a problem recently. I don't know if any one else is having this problem, or if anyone could help. I'm using Ubuntu as my OS. When I go to watch videos in Hulu and I click full screen, it briefly goes full screen (just long enough to see the hit escape to exit notification) then goes back to normal view. Does anyone know how to fix this? NOTE: I already tried disabling Cairo-Dock and it didn't help at all. Thanks in advance.

Https://www.instructables.com/id/Make-a-24X6-LED-matrix/ I have successfully made a 24 * 9 led matrix following the instructions on above link, which when I use with an arduino from a serial monitor I am able to display a scrolling text. However l want when one types a text and or numbers -maximum seven, they should be displayed permanently or stationary except of course if one decides to change the text and send again from the serial monitor. Kindly can someone send a full code for the task. I suppose you will change and update the code from the above link. My email address is : firstname.lastname@example.org

Hi, I'm in need of some help with a project I'm working on. I'm looking to build a handsfree two way audio communication circuit but I've been getting very confused when looking at material online and don't know where to look or how to even start. I've been looking into full duplex communication but I have no idea how to implement this in a circuit I could build. I'm confused as to if I would need a microcontroller (probably an arduino) or not and what transceivers and antennas to use. If anyone could show me where to look or help me get a starting point your help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I've been working on this project for about a year now, the first stages of the design started like 5 or 6 years ago. It is a full auto 19 stage no-capacitor coilgun. The accelerator is 3ft long! It will use an advanced coil timing system that should allow more efficient acceleration. The custom 3d printed magazines will hold about 90 shots, maybe a little more. It should be capable of firing at a rate of several thousand rpm but I might tune it down to ~500 rpm to keep it cooler running and make the ammo last. If you want to read more about this design you can see the page on my website: http://www.ourbadscience.com/#!em-guns/cwjy Here is a video showing the current progress on the coilgun:

I'm already preparing for Halloween. One of the props I would like to build is a box to hold "Satan." I'm not yet sure what I want it to look like (rock? metal?)... but I do know that I want it to be warm to the touch. Not HOT... nothing that would actually harm anyone... but obviously - and devilishly - warm. My first best thought is to take something like an old-school metal lunchbox, create false walls on the top and bottom, and then put SOMETHING in the in-between spot. But what? Chemical hand warmers? Something battery-operated. Your ideas are welcomed. And if a little bit of smoke could come out, all the better. Please shout if you need any clarification!!! Thanks!!!

Unless i am mistaken, rail guns use high voltage rails, and conduct through the rails and a projectile... not unlike jacobs ladders. if we took a jacobs ladder and made the rails parallel, they could be used as a rail gun. right? if so... what's to stop us from having a gravity feed rail gun, something that rols a ball bearing or some such metallic ball or rod onto the rails to be shot down, the moment the first projectile isn't touching the rails, the new one rolls on... say... power it with a cordless drill battery and step the voltage up with a wallwart transformer? if we can make portable tesla coils... a rail gun doesn't seem so far fetched. granted, this post isn't using any technical jargon so you probably all think i'm an idiot, but i do believe that it's possible. my knowledge of rail guns is fairly rudimentary. any ideas? it would obviously be VERY low velocity... but if you were to make it stationary, you could upsize it and run it through a large MOT from a microwave, or a transformer from a UPS or something equally massive and... well... have a fullly automatic rail gun turret-y thing? yes?

Right this is just the mech of the machine gun you will have to make the mag/clip/barrel/everything.You may have seen this already on the comment on https://www.instructables.com/id/8-SHOT-KNEX-HAND-GUN-REVOLVER/?&sort;=NEWEST&limit;=50&offset;=50The comment with it was posted May 7, 2008. 12:25 PM.Basicaly the hammer is attached to a small cog, a motor or handle is attached to a cog with only 4 teeth(on each half) the 4 teeth will crank the hammer back then when it runs out of teeth it will snap back, it actually works(I would have posted but my sister destroyed it D= ) te only problem I had was the mag, I attempted to build a box mag, oh and the fact you need a metal rod for the handle/motor and for the hammer with gear on(I lost 3 red rods because it just twisted the hell out of them, it was impossible to use them again)So you can only make it with some sort of renforced rod, but overall it actually works.this is just a small step by step type thingStep 1sand down 3/4 of a small cog.Step 2to speed up rate of fire add speed up gears (optional)Step 3make hammer, lock canibalised cog onto a rod with hammerStep 4connect it to speed up gear/sStep 5add elastic band to hammerStep 6add mag, clip or belt. note: if you make belt the add timmed gears to the speed up gear.

I know you people don't believe anything without pictures, but, I DON'T CARE!!! I have a video! I promise! Ok, this is a semi-automatic. Pull trigger, boom, pull trigger, boom. That is it, no pulling back the ram or anything. I have not made the fully automatic version, but all it needs is a motor on the trigger and it will be fully automatic!!!!!!If any one wishes to post instructions on this gun, I hereby give you permission as long as you give me credit. Watch the video here.

Every once in a while I'll come across some piece of furniture in the store that's modern. I'll look at it and say: "Hey, that's kinda like the sixties." Well... I wnet to Houston TX a while back and saw a neighborhood of modern homes. I looked at them and thought: "Hey those remind me of old six..ties...homes." I Got to thinking about and realized "Oh my gosh! We're living the sixties all over again!" I mean seriously! Take a look around! All these "Modern" things aren't modern at all. They've all been thought up before, but it was 40 years ago so the newer generations thinking it up don't realize it. Below I've put some pictures. The first 3 of 1960s homes and the last 3 of Modern homes. See the similarities?
