True Stainless handle

The stainless cabinet handles are manufactured from stainless steel material as they carries better finish as well as durable. Stainless steel is also the favourite material house ware and kitchen ware too. It is also the main choice for cabinet handle specifically for bathrooms and kitchens mainly due to their easily maintenance. Besides the benefits above, the color and finish of the stainless steel handles looks rather good against cabinet background. Wooden, fiber or plastic material. Modern contemporary kitchen design fit very well with stainless steel handles, and there are good selections of styles to select from. Normally it is not economic and easy to change out the entire kitchen cabinet and it is rather costly, so changing the knobs and pulls may be a good way to refresh the cabinet. Besides the decorative function, the cabinet knobs and handles are also useful in a number of ways. As cabinet door go through lots of wear and tear, so they are easily damaged. Their paint and polish can easily drop off over time. Hence the stainless steel knobs and handles are the better choice for kitchen cabinet due to their durability. but in the market nowadays, many distributors will sell SS201 Material handles rather than SS304 handles due to price problems, and SS201 will rust very easy, so if considered the price, there is another alternative choice, that´s Zinc alloy handles or Alu handles or knobs, especially Zinc alloy handles can be processed in many different finishing. Whatever types of knobs or handles you choose, they ought to fit in the theme of the kitchen. Hence do check out the different styles of the stainless steel handles. Handling accented characters

Writing accented characters in an instructable ends up with the questionmark-diamond failed unicode character. So far not a big issue. However, writing accented characters with the &code; construction works, but on a second edit of the same text, uses the actual unicode characters, and thus on a third edit is reverted back down to the ugly diamonds again.

stuck faucet handle help? Answered

It's a two handle kitchen faucet.  The last time I changed the washer on the HOT handle, I replaced both HOT and COLD plastic handles with metal ones.  I've removed the screw on top.  But can't budge the handle itself off the top of the valve unit.  Without the top screw, it should just slide up off the grooves on the valve unit.  I've tried prying.  I've tried rocking and tapping.  I've tried pouring hot water over the handle. Right now vinegar is sitting in the screw hole.  Usually this takes just a few minutes for the whole job. Any suggestions?.

Knife with glass and Silver handle

Hello Everyone, I'm new to this forum and I have made something I wanted to share and get some feedback. This is "Art Knife" I used a method I invented to etch hardened glass with colored images and made some into what I think is a pretty cool knife. The glass is held in place on a nice Damascus blade with a Sterling Silver frame. The etching can be of any subject, I chose the animals because they look nice but I could have put a portrait or other designs on my knife. I also want to use this technique for other fine items like memorials, awards, etc. The etching never wears because it's covered in a layer of Pyrex glass by baking it in a kiln. What do you think of this idea? Any feedback greatly appreciated! Cheers, John

Replacing wooden handles on a dutch oven?

I got an old Coquelle with black wooden handles, my subscribers probably remember them from some of my recipes. Recently the handles started to crumble and even broke when I tried to detach them. Now I am looking for a replacement, but the only info that I get is that wooden pan handles are made from English Oak. Later they made them from phenolic resin and today they are made of steel. But I am looking for wooden replacements for my dutch oven. And I don't want to use any coating or varnish because I still want to prepare food in the Coquelle at 200°C. Any ideas which unprocessed wood I could use?

searching for a pump that can handle pudding

I dug through a few forums, trying to decide which this was best suited for. I settled on tech since its a physical computing project. I'm looking for a resource for a water pump that can handle something like pudding. the initial thought was use an air pump and a bag or maybe have the bag be squeezed closed but i need it to cycle through.  Like a water fountain of pudding! The pudding spurts out, then there is also an intake which is recycling the goop. Does anyone have a resource on pumps which could handle something so thick?  (and since its a small scale project, cheaply and small!)

How do Transistors handle Amperage?

Hey, I'm working on a wireless power transfer system and I'm planning on running it on 12vdc with a 2n3904 transistor, but my power supply supplies 2 amps. Now the question is, will the transistor draw only the current that my transmitter coils draw, or will it simply draw it all for supplying the coils. I have not yet determined how many turns or what resistance they have yet, I'm still in early stages. I just don't want to ruin one of my few transistors. I know the absolute maximum current this specific transistor can handle is 200ma.

Moulding plastic - for a knife handle or holster ??? Answered

Hi ... I would like to ask fro help to find the proper ENGLISH word/name for what I'm looking for. I would like to make a plastic handle (for a knife) and a holster. My grandpa had a stuff for this, where he moulded it, put the metal part of the knife handle inside and left it to become hard. I have found something like the POLYMORPH but I'm just a little bit concern - wouldn't it be to soft ??? Or the low melting point ??? The stuff that my grandpa used became hard as a rock. And when you wanted to remove it, you had to break it ... and it breaks exactly like rock, glass (it wasn't soft). Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

My Experiment with a leather handle binding

So the other day i was bored, i got to thinking about dagorhir, it looked so fun, i just needed an awesome suit of armor and a sword. so i tried this, i took 2 strips of leather and tacked them into place, then i wrapped the leather around this dowel. after i got to the end of the stick i made a pommel out of more leather. then i took out the butane torch, i singed the leather so that it curled up at the edges causing a nice grippy feel. so, is this thing full of fail or full of win?

Interesting TAP handle tech question \ quest.

Here's a weird one for  you guys. I recently bought a Beer tap handle and noticed that it had an insert that had some LEDs on it. Cool. The problem is that the LEDs don't light (beyond a tiny SMD red LED heartbeat). I found a small button that when depressed seems to trigger a test. Bright white LEDs on the top and bottom flash to illumnnate the top of the tap (either a clear baseball or FIFA tap topper) as well as the body. It's hollow plastic so it briefly glows. The problem is that I can't figure out how to light the things beyond the test (for which you have to remove it from the handle). The guy who sold it to me said they've sold lots like this and could never figure it out. I figured light sensor? nope. Tilt sensor so it'll flash when you pour a beer. Nope. I broke out  my loupe and noticed a funky thing on the circuit board that looked like it had an antenna. It was an Anaren A1101R09A. This thing is a radio tranceiver!  That tells me there was a remote with it that was lost in the few days after they bar got their new tap handle. Does that sound right? If so I was wondering where I could get or build another. I could put together some other LED solution, but I'd love to get this to work. HEre's a pic of the tap handle and the insert laying on it's side. The right side is the up side with the transceiver. It's blue if you look closely. Not sure I'll get a solution, but there's some clever people here, so you never know. Thanks for reading.

Charging Handle Bullet Chambering System Concept

Bolt action is going to be too specific to describe the action of loading a bullet in such a way as to increase power so I'm just going to call it chambering. Bolt action chambering was done through the use of two separate pins and "barrels". The magazine loaded ammo into a separate area and then was pushed into the barrel by the bolt pin. This works pretty well but it's a little complicated and some potential accelerating space is wasted with the bolt. I wanted to simplify the action of chambering a round for max power. Why not just have one barrel?  I made a powerpoint to demonstrate the concept. There are still a few problems I need to figure out before I can work on such a gun such as how the trigger would work and how to keep the ammo in the magazine down. I have ideas for both but nothing that I'm 100% sure of. If anyone would like to try this concept out, PM me. You can download the powerpoint here. (make sure you play through it, don't just scroll through the slides)

How much power can these LEDs handle?

I'm working on a project and I would like to connect two green LEDs two ultra bright Red LEDs and 2 blue LEDs. I got the green leds from radio shack so i know they need 2.1v dc, 25ma but the red ones and blue ones I got from some old toys so I don't know what they need. Any Ideas how much power I would need if I connected them in series? I have a bunch of old wall warts of varying sizes (9v 350ma, 9v 210ma, 5v 1a, 12v 750ma 12v 150ma) but only a few LEDs so I don't want to fry them and I don't need to push them to the limts. Here's some pics of my LEDs the small one is the blue one and the other clear one is Red.

How many different ways are there to put a handle on a tool?

I've made a wee wallpaper roller to help apply some strips of adhesive cork in my landy. And it struck me that all my home-made handles are crap. They start as ~1" dowell with a hole down the middle, but even if they're snug to start with, the shaft loosens up and the tool spins in the grip. So to save it I end up cutting a slot and snugging it up with a hose clamp. Currently I have three tools in this state. What better handle designs are there?

How do i put a handle on a fiberglass rod?

I have a large fiberglass rod about 3/4 of an thick one way, and an inch and a half the other, ye-shaped, with stainless steel wires down the points of the eye shape. it's about three feet long, and has a 3/8" hole bored about 5 inches into one end. what would be the best way to attach a handle to the bored end? i am looking to make a sortof sword out of it. my dad reccomends using a threaded rod, and threading the inside of the hole, with a wooden handle, but i'm concerned that a threaded rod would be prone to breaking, like a budK sword, and i would really like to be able to use it for combat, since i have two of them. does anyone have any ideas about how to make the handle as sturdy as possible?

Broken espresso pot, stove top replacement handle? Answered

Hello, On the second pot of coffee the handle broke, right at the handle pinning hole. ;(  I've attached some picts. I don't have either 3D printing or CNC fabbing tools, but have saved this pot for 4 years hoping to resurrect it. I'd love to redesign a better /replacement one, which wouldn't break, and be cool to the touch.  If anyone knows where to go or is interested in trying out a new process etc. I'm up for that! I could 3D scan w/ one of my tools, I think, although, I 'believe' this is more for 3D art vs. 3D CAD accuracy. If accessing a maker community locally makes the most since, I'm in the Raliegh-Durham area of NC. Thank you instructables community for any guidance, help or where I would I go to collaborate repairing this. kind regards,

How should I go about engraving this handle?

So I've recently being trying to replicate Prince Nuada's spear from Hellboy II, and it seems that the hardest bit will be the middle bit with all its fancy engravings and whatnot (The section between the blade and the handle). Im unsure what I should use and how exactly to engrave it all. I would really rather not resort to painting it on, but if I engrave it into wood I'm worried that after a couple of coats of primer and paint I will loose all the detail. I want it to be fairly strong so I may have to resin over the engravings if I dremel the design out of wood, which would make it even less visible. What do you think would be the best way to engrave it all out?
