minecraft hardcore

As most of you would know super flat doesn't have much in the way of material but if you use the "gimmeabreak" seed you will get spawned in a village (hooray) there's plenty of materials and houses to make shelter just watch out for slimes they can spawn in the daytime

Feeling kinda hardcore

So, my brother and I found ourselves locked out of the house with the only possible help hours away. Not to be defeated, we unscrewed the lock on the garage door, grabbed my keys (which I had left in there) and got inside the house. This is probably kiddie stuff compared to most of you but I'm still feeling kinda awesome and wanted to share.

Ok I am having problems with my directx driver and I need help. For some reason unknown to me almost all of my games can't start because the following directx features are not working:Directdraw acceleration,direct3d acceleration, and AGP texture acceleration. I did test directdraw and that work as it should. So what do you think the problem is?

dj sampler?

does anyone know how to make a simple sampler that one can record onto and play back at the push of a button, only instead of recording on a mic you record via loops and inputs?

EarthBound for SNES (Mother 2)

Hello, I recently played some earthbound, and found it to be fantastic.  So, I know there are some hardcore EB* fans out there, just gonna say, I'm not one of them.  So, really I made this for people to chat about EB and discuss problems they have in the game. So, say,"Fuzzy pickles"! *EarthBound

Music review- 50 cent's get up

You know the drillBeat- 9.5very tight, but would not sound as good without the lyricsLyrics- 8.0It can assist the beat greatly, but it gets awkward in the middle of the song....Chorus- 10.0!!!!!The chorus is the tightest part of the song!End finale- 10.0!!!Perfect fade effect!Perks- 10.0!!!!The intro is a unique twist, and puts a good effect on the song....Overall- 9.2!!!Another great song from 50 cent. 15" Macbook Pro

Hello everyone,          I am in the market for my first laptop. Ive been researching for about two years now and Im ready to make a purchase. My research has lead me to the 15" MacBook Pro. I am very cautious with my money and I want to make sure my hard earned money goes into a good investment. I really like it just from looking at it online. Im a pretty hardcore computer nerd and have taken up the title of the  IT manager of my house. I need a good computer.  From the few people ive talked to Ive only heard good things about the unit. Is there anyone out there, who owns one, tell me its Pros and Cons? It would be greatly appreciated!

Parkour

So, beginning of the third day of learning Parkour. However, years of "Hardcore Tag" seem like the same things, just higher landings, instead of more effectively rolling. Anyways, Can someone point me in the right direction for parkour? I think I know how to roll, however Im not sure. Tips on vaulting and speed vaulting? How about after I vault, I have a 6-10 ft drop. Do I roll? How do you roll from high up? Do you do a landing, then crouch to roll? How can you become to have a smooth roll? Tips on catleaps? Where is the best place to practice or try out parkour?-RoAr

K'nex Gun Review - RBLTR V.1 (Red's Breach Loading Tactical Rifle)

Hello All This is a review on 'RBLTR V.1 (Red's Breach Loading Tactical Rifle)'. The RBLTR V.1 was published on the 1st of July 2013, and is considered by red himself to be his most powerful K'nex gun he has ever built. After building the gun and seeing the internals, it uses a pin pull mech and they look very similar to the G36C mech. There are many nice features to this gun that makes it original like the comfort bar and the sights. The gun shoots yellow rods to anyone wondering. STATS Range 10/10 - The range of the gun is rather high than an average gun. I managed to get 50ft accurately and around 80- 90 ft at an angle. It it described that the gun can reach ranges up to 70ft in the original description so I think 70ft is a fair judgement. As I managed to get 80ft plus,  I think the rating is 10/10. Appearance/ Looks 8/10 - The gun at first sight looks pretty hardcore although this does not really matter, I personally liked the comfort bar and the sights. The gun has a solid build so I think around a 8/10. Internals 8/10 - The internals within the gun are rather good, although I have had a few jams so I think 8/10. Broken Pieces 9/10 - The gun does not use any broken pieces however in some places the performance of the gun will exceed if broken pieces are used. That having been said I think a 9/10. Comfort 10/10 - I admire the gun mainly for its comfort of the handle. This helps to make the gun more accurate while aiming therefore a 10/10 without a doubt. Rate of Fire 6/10 - The ROF on this gun is quite good. When reloading this gun it did not take too long but their has been a lot more quicker and so I think a 6/10. Sturdiness/Durability 8/10 - The gun is put together well as I said earlier and I find it firm. When building this and adding the comfort bar is seemed that it was weak but as I added to it, it strengthened. Although the permanent fore-grip is rather weak in my opinion and could be stronger so I think a 8/10. Overall - 59/70 - This gun overall is awesome and I would recommend to build it! Also keep in mind that this is my ratings and opinions of the gun. Be sure to check out The Red Book of Westmarch's other guns. I hope you have enjoyed the review! Thank you! Hunter999

Smart amplifier design building blocks help? (making an amp w/ auto-volume adjust by controlling gain with running avg)

I am currently working on a simple headphone audio amp that automatically adjusts volume to my preference, regardless of what video I click on when it is plugged into a computer. I am tired of some video's being so quiet that I have to crank up the volume to overdrive to hear it, while other video's blast out sound and burst my eardrums. And of course when watching photonicinduction videos, he often can be hard to hear his voice at really low volume at like 12 at night when everyone is asleep, but then the sparks and hammers come into the picture, it is often too late to crank the volume back down, and thus makes your ears bleed or waking everyone up in the neighborhood! X-(. (Luckily he has included sound warnings, but I am lazy, and will engineer things that do the hard work of adjusting volume for me! :)   ) In a way, I understand that this will minimize the dynamic range, which I suppose hardcore "audiophiles" will go NUTS over me actually WANTING to do that, but none the less, That is what I want. My design currently is just a simple emitter follower with a NPN and PNP transistor is the class AB operation, and to minimize crossover distortion and give a definite gain, I have negative feedback op amp from the output of the totem pole transistor arrangement back to the inputs that feed the base of the low and high side transistor. (obviously, the transistors by themselves are low impedance output, (CV mode) and high impedance input, and have a gain of like 1.) Sorry, no schematics, but you capable of googling it if you want to see what I am describing. As it is, it works fine. HOWEVER, it does not do the automatic volume, or gain control. That is set in stone by a resistor divider network between the feedback and ground (the basic non inverting amp feedback config.) I do not want a fixed gain. I want a electrically adjustable gain. The thing I plan to use to do the automatic adjustment would be a peak detector on the input, which is probably going to be a simple diode and capacitor with a buffer, and a discharge resistor (or constant current drain) across the capacitor to gradually lower the max output, or possibly an integrating op amp that effectively takes a running average. The output of that needs to control GAIN of the primary amplifier, and I want to be able to control the PID of that thing, maybe by tuning the a LCR circuit, or what have you. It is all nice and analog, just the way I like it! :) If ONLY there was some magical (and common) component that I could control the resistance anywhere in the feedback loop, of with a given voltage w/ respect to ground... I was thinking of like a MOSFET, but I would have to deal with the non linearity of the input vs output impedance, which probably changes with respect to everything from the current flowing through the channel, the voltage relative to ground at the source, the temperature, the alignment of the planet's, what mood god is in, etc etc etc. That is too many factors for an open loop control on to model in discrete stuff! And digital potentiometers are out of the question since, well they are digital, I want an elegant simple solution, and the are $$ and difficult to deal with. They have so many requirements that need to be addressed.  I prefer a elegant discrete transistor circuit, but op amps and other basic building blocks are acceptable, (this thing I want to be built over a weekend with with jellybean parts from by junk bin.) if you happen to know of a specific audio chip that does this for me, please mention it, but I will probably not use it, but maybe analyze the internal circuitry and learn how it works.

My Chemical Romance Update =D

My Chemical Romance will go on a temporary break while they seek inspiration to write a new album."We can't make any more music unless we live. When we get a chance, we're going to get together and do some demos and start rolling. But we're going to take it slow,” frontman Gerard Way said. The band took two years to tour in support of their last album, 2006’s The Black Parade. {Posted from The Star}Things have been a little quiet since My Chemical Romance killed off their alter egos, The Black Parade, back in may at New York's legendary Madison Square Garden venue. However frontman Gerard Way has posted a massssiiiivvvveeee update answering all your questions about the new album, how drummer Bob Bryer is after recent wrist surgery, how guitarist Ray Toro's wedding went, what Frank Iero's been up to with his side-band, Leathermouth, as well as quashing internet rumours that he recently died in a car crash. It reads as follows:"Hey guys, Gerard here... I'm hanging out with Mikey in New Jersey, relaxing, drinking coffee, talking comics, and getting ready to take a drive down south tomorrow. I don't know what states I'm passing through but I know where I'm heading. Don't worry, I've got a the Clockwork Orange audiobook, a Dr. Pepper air-freshener, and a GPS so I don't get lost. We figured by now everyone that's a fan of the band might be wondering what we're up to, what we're planning, so I thought I'd write this letter and fill you all in."We're living, decompressing - The Black Parade took over two years to tour and six months to make so that's a lot of existing in a fictional world, and we're just extremely happy to live in a real one for a while. One thing I can let you know is that we're excited. Genuinely more excited than we have ever been to be in this band, make some new music. And we have ALL been writing new material in our own separate worlds... I started a week after I got home, buying a good rig, an old Jag, and a bunch of pedals- just searching for the next sound."Bob is recovering well from his recent wrist surgery - exceedingly well considering how risky the procedure can be. We're all really happy that when he picks up the sticks again he won't be in the intense pain he was in during the last year of touring. It's going to take him a while to rehabilitate but knowing him, he will most likely be playing the drums before the doctor says it's a good idea. He just loves playing, we all do. Franks on the road with Leathermouth and Reggie and The Full Effect so you should go see them and get spit on. I know Leathermouth doesn't have a record out yet, but Frank gave it to me in Mexico and I can easily say it's my favourite post-hardcore record of the year, so I know you will at least enjoy the songs if you don't know the words."One of the best parts of the last five months was getting to see Ray get married and all of us be a part of the wedding. It was beautiful. I'm not sure where the happy couple is right now but I am sure wherever they are, they are really enjoying it. I have never seen him happier in my life. So we made plans to get together soon and make some demos, see where our heads are at, take it slow. If explosions happen in our heads right away who knows how soon we could have a record out, we aren't in any rush but we get just as anxious as you to find out what the next 'thing' is going to be."So that about wraps it up... I'm glad I could stop by for a chat, I think I will do it more often. I'm writing more comics, writing more music, and missing my wife right now. Oh, and I heard a rumour that I died in a car accident. I didn't."[{Posted from Kerrang!}]
