Hi!

Hi!Nobody has posted here and I'm curious if this project is active.I will be working on regiggering something to be a sort of myoelectric prosthetic. I don't have one yet as I'm still recovering, however I might as well think about how I could help the situation.I found a great hobbyist website, Spark Fun. From them I ordered an Arduino for $32.The Arduino is a n atmel microcontroller with a usb interface, allowing programming the chip and communication with the running program. For myoelectric control, voltages would be derived from skin voltages. I'm no physiologist, but if some muscle activity can be discerned from the (low voltage) input, it could be used. The PWM outputs are ready-made to control common servos, so a motor-operated claw could be controlled. With the arduino's ability for independent operation as well as interfacing to the computer to revise the microcontroller's software and reprogram, it should be fairly straightforward to achieve a custom controller for a robotic claw of sorts. Now, where do I get the claw (at a reasonable price)? Or, maybe it'd be better to custom design one?Stay tuned.

I'm livin with two room-mates and a kinda dream of us is to put speaker cables from each room to a switch and then further to a pair of speakers in the kitchen. The problem is that i only find switches for one Line-In and several pairs of speakers and not the reverse type model. As i dun have any further electronic skills, could sumone give a construction plan or a link to such, so that i know what parts i need to buy for soldering?

Old Hi-fi with no line-in

Hello everybody,  I found an old (5/10 years)  Kenwood small hi-fi system. It has a good sound, but I wanted it to connect to my laptop. The problem is that there is no line-in or any other form of input. Since it has cd-reader and a tape reader I though I could create an input removing the tape reader and using the connection tape->amplifier as my new line-in. Is that possible, any help or instruction? Thanks, bye

Adapting powered pc speakers to hi fi speakers

Adapting powered pc speakers to hi fi speakers - New! by JayWalkerLeo - 10/21/09 9:16 AM Does anyone know if it is possible to take the power unit out of a set of powered pc speakers and put it  into a set of basic hi-fi speakers. The reason is the left speaker of the pc set does not work properly but all the amp bits work.  I have a pair of 20 (10+10) watt hi-fi speakers nothing special at all, but I wanted to know if i could swap the amp bits with all the cables from the pc set to the hi-fi pair without too many adverse affects. Any help or advice is most welcome

Excessive heat from my l7805cv voltage regulator? Answered

Hi, I'm a newbie and I've set up a programme using an Arduino Nano to build a high speed photography project using Bluetooth  (from a guy called ZHUT on youtube).  I've used his schematic and  his App and it's almost there, but the l8705cv regulator is heating up fast (almost too hot to touch) after a few minutes( with a heatsink). I'm using a 9 volt dc adaptor, power coming out is 5 volts. The trigger threshold numbers (1023) don't come up on the app. to start the programme running, stays at zero.  I've never used a schematic before, so I think I've wired up something wrong to cause this.  Any suggestions would be really welcome, as I've spent a long time on this and I'd love to get it going. I'll send photos, hope they will help, thanks

Which is better?

Well i was just wondering which do you think is better ask.com or google.com i know google is more popular but which one is overall better? ask.com:pros: Can see screen shot of website. shows pictures of the search item on the side. shows blogs on side. gives you suggestions. I thinks thats it now for google. google.com:pros: Most browsers have a little bar at the top for searching. Most popular searching site. Can't think of anymore.. ask.com:cons: Not very popular All i can think of. google.com:cons:doesn't have all that stuff that ask.com has. That seams to wrap it up. What do you think is better? Also if you have any thing to add on the pros and cons list post them here.

Everyone please say hello to 'The Teacher Is Dead HaHa', my upperclassmen who just joined.

So yeah, a couple of weeks ago I invited my upperclassmen 'The_Teacher_Dead_LOL' to chat with me, DJ, littlehef37 and n8 on the I'bles chatroom. It was pretty fun, so I asked him to join I'bles just for the heck of it, and he did. His acc is 'The Teacher Is Dead HaHa', and his main point of interests are cooking and photography, so if he might get his lazy butt up his couch and start working hard, you might be able to expect a few cooking and photography I'bles from him. He's a really nice guy, and he doesn't like K'nex (he (jokingly) insulted DJ in the chatroom for playing with 'toy guns' (ROFL) ), so you K'nexers better not be spamming him :-P He's around one and a half year older than me BTW, I'll be 14 on September and he just turned 15 on February. He will be (I think) online around the same time as me, 'cuz all the kids in my school are basically online around the time I'm on, so, yeah.... Oh, and another thing, he's not so good at speaking English. He's a D student in English, but he's open to a lot of constructive criticisms on his English. He does use capital letters, commas, full stops etc. properly though, and he doesn't spell badly because he actually wants to, so that's a plus, I guess... Well, I guess that's it. Moga2 lo bisa sukses di nih website cuy, best of luck dari gw lah! :-P

hi!Mood is still naked!

hi!Mood is a wi-fi device which generates led patterns and plays music in sync with your mood. What is Hi-Float made out of, and is it possible to make my own? Answered

Hi-Float is, apparently, some liquid you can pump into a balloon to make it stay inflated for a longer amount of time. I can't seem to find anything other than commercial promotion on a Google search, and I'm terribly curious about how it does this, what it's made out of, and whether it would be feasible to make it myself, homebrew-style.

How would i take a digital 1mp camera and add an A/V input?

To clarify my question better... How do I take a 1mp( mega pixel) and make it record from an A/V source? Or, what is a created, modded, hacked, or bought product that can be used for recording A/v portably? I am trying to take an older high-end video camera that recorded on hi-8 and record from the on board A/V output, then plugging that output to a device (that meets the criteria above) into that. My plan is to use a 1mp digital video camera, and then mod that to have an input.
