Hi!Nobody has posted here and I'm curious if this project is active.I will be working on regiggering something to be a sort of myoelectric prosthetic. I don't have one yet as I'm still recovering, however I might as well think about how I could help the situation.I found a great hobbyist website, Spark Fun. From them I ordered an Arduino for $32.The Arduino is a n atmel microcontroller with a usb interface, allowing programming the chip and communication with the running program. For myoelectric control, voltages would be derived from skin voltages. I'm no physiologist, but if some muscle activity can be discerned from the (low voltage) input, it could be used. The PWM outputs are ready-made to control common servos, so a motor-operated claw could be controlled. With the arduino's ability for independent operation as well as interfacing to the computer to revise the microcontroller's software and reprogram, it should be fairly straightforward to achieve a custom controller for a robotic claw of sorts. Now, where do I get the claw (at a reasonable price)? Or, maybe it'd be better to custom design one?Stay tuned.

Is there any way to rip off all the media off of my iPod touch 4? The computer I was syncing from just crashed and I lost all of my media. The only other copy is on the iPod and I want to recover it. Is there any way to recover my music, apps, and videos from another computer without it being erased? Thank You so much, mr_e I can provide information as requested

Roger-X's iPod Touch appears to have crashed. He was watching a programme via the BBC iPlayer app and turned the iPod over 180°. The picture started to rotate as expected, got to about 45°, then froze for about 30 seconds. After that, the screen switched to a pale-white glowing screen with no image or text. It is not responding to the home button or the main power button, plugging it into our PC gets no response (the PC does not register its existence, either) and, of course, the local Apple store closed 10 minutes before it broke. Any ideas for a fix, folks?

Hello everybody, I found an old (5/10 years) Kenwood small hi-fi system. It has a good sound, but I wanted it to connect to my laptop. The problem is that there is no line-in or any other form of input. Since it has cd-reader and a tape reader I though I could create an input removing the tape reader and using the connection tape->amplifier as my new line-in. Is that possible, any help or instruction? Thanks, bye

hi!Mood is a wi-fi device which generates led patterns and plays music in sync with your mood. It plays the tracks which best fit how you feel directly from stereomood.com, associating to each song the coolest and most appropriate RGB led pattern matching your mood. You can interact with hi!Mood through a mobile app interface so that hi!Mood focuses only on what it can do best: playing music and generating colored light patterns matching your mood! hi!Mood is being developed by A-Pole, a mobile application development studio which is creating innovative mobile apps to know more about the world around you and interact simply with everyday electronic objects. My wife and I had one of the cavies featured in my Cavy / Guinea Pig ible, i.e. Elvis, in for surgery. Although he made it through surgery (a cancerous kidney removal), the other kidney failed, and he perished during the night. Here he is, one more time, when he was much younger, being held by my wife....

From The Sun, 11 Dec 2008:SHE is the perfect wife, with the body of a Page 3 pin-up and housekeeping skills that put TV's Kim and Aggie to shame. Her name is Aiko, she can even read a map, and will never, ever, nag. Sounds too good to be true, doesn't she fellas? And she is.Aiko is actually a robot, a fantasy brought to life by inventor Le Trung. Devoted Aiko --- "in her 20s" --- has a stunning 32-23-33 figure, pretty face and shiny hair. She is always happy to clean the house for "husband" Le, help with his accounts or get him a drink.Computer ace Le, 33, from Ontario, Canada, has spent two years and £14,000 building his dream girl.He had planned to make an android to care for the elderly. But his project "inspired by sci-fi robots like Star Wars's C3PO " strayed off-course. [ ... ]He said: "Aiko doesn't need holidays, food or rest, and will work almost 24 hours a day. She is the perfect woman."Aiko sparks mixed reactions in public.Le said: "Women usually try to talk to her. But men always want to touch her, and if they do it the wrong way she slaps them."Read the whole article, with a video clip and pictures, at http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2023392.ece

Here is a concept I came up with a while ago. Basically, it is just a mechanism that allows a normal grey connector mag (I.e. One that would be used vertically) to be used horizontally, and so solving the problem of the low capacity of traditional knex horizontal magazines. However it is not without issues. The model used in these pictures is rather large, and there is an issue where the pusher cannot push the last connector out fully. Anyway, I thought I'd just I'd post this so if anybody is interested, they can use this concept and/or improve it so all issues are fixed. Just make sure to give me credit pictures: 1) overview 2/3) overview of the mechanism 4) the red rod blocks the rotating mechanism so that no ammo falls out when not in use. Pull it out to initiate feeding

Hi, i was just wondering whether anyone knew of anything that will allow me to add more speakers to my sony hi-fi without losing in volume. my stereo only allows me to add 2 speakers, and i have seen that you can get stereo speaker splitter allowing to add more speakers but i don't know whether one of those leads to a loss in volume aswell. I was wondering whether there is anything like a booster/amplifier to prevent the loss (almost like an aerial booster for TV's). Any help would be great thanks! Dan
