Any cures for a jumpy laptop touchpad (HP easynote)? Answered

When I'm using the laptop, there's an issue with the touchpad for the mouse, it quite often goes absolutely mental at my touch, I've tried cleaning it, washing my hands... I can't find any correlation with the problem, it'll work fine for hours and then it'll suddenly decide I can't do anything sensibly... It's an HP easynote TJ68, however my brother's Hp, not the same model but very similar has zero issues... So not sure what the score is at all...

Game Ideas?

I have been thinking about designing a game. here are some ideas I've been kicking around: Post-apocalyptic themed RPG: Based loosely on Discovery's new series, The Colony, you would play a character and experience his struggles to survive a cruel and lawless world. Final fantasy styled game. Zelda Platformer: It would incorporate the 'hoppy-jumpy' gameplay of the Mario Bros. Platform games with the dungeon-questing and puzzle-solving of the Legend of Zelda Titles. Mario RTS: Simply combine the gameplay of C&C with the themes of the Mario Brothers. nothing more to say. I am using Game Maker 7 Lite. Thoughts and suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

Lm 324 amplifier?

Hello i am trying to build a Lm324 Stereo preamp to go into my 100w tube amp, and i cannot find any schematics on 324's. My idea was to have each channel occupy its own side of the chip, and having a switch to switch between 1 and 2 amp stages. please help thank you.

Transistor voice modulation?

Alright, i know now that there is a way to modulate your voice from putting signal in on the voltage pin of a transistor, and controlling it with a synth into the input voltage. But now, what is that effect? and what is a way to smooth out or get clean sounds from it? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Transistor vocoder?

Hello, last night i was experimenting with my breadboard, and i came up with an idea, transistors have a supply voltage, which the small voltage controls pitch and volume. but i thought what if i had voice coming in to the supply voltage part(after being super amplified) and the keyboard comes in the control voltage side, would the keyboard not control pitch of voice, while voice modulates? thanks for your help.

SPyware - The Web Of Trust? ( WOT)

Recently Ive been very jumpy about spyware. it seems that on99% of everywebsite I see, there's a spyware ad in a corner. Ive been wondering how much spyware I've installed without knowing.... Antispyware software is good, but it doesnt always do the whole job. Most only block a program after its already started. Ive heard about the Web Of Trust. Supposedly, its a network or people who rate the safety level of a website. Ater you install the program, a safety rating will appear next to it on google, IE or Firefox. I tried researching it, but I cant find any RELIABLE sources. I was wondering if you guys have heard about this or know of something similar. Im ver worried about spyware and would like to know of other safety precautions. Aso talk about spyware in general here.

Why do Microsoft games lag like crazy on my computer?

Recently I have become aware that any Microsoft game that I have on my computer runs with unbearable lag. At first I though that Halo 1 and 2 just hated me, but I've noticed that Age of Empires 3 does it as well. What's interesting about this is that I'm getting a high FPS in games (30's and 40's lowest, usually around 50 and up) but it still lags. I think the best way to describe the framerate would be to call it "jumpy", it never stays stable, but instead rapidly bounces about 5 FPS in either direction. However, things really started to get interesting when I tried to record a video with Fraps to show what was happening. I hit the record button and... suddenly the lag goes away. Go figure. So, I think recording with Fraps has a smoothing effect on the framerate, because the FPS suddenly becomes very consistent. I'd just record video all the time, except that it would eat up all of my disk space :(. So, does anybody have any ideas on a solution? Some sort of framerate smoothing software perhaps? Oh, by the way, here's my specs: -E6850 @ 3.0 Ghz -2 GiB DDR2 800 RAM -Two 8600 GT's in SLI -Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard -Various SATA drives that I've scrounged -Windows Vista 32-bit I can run most games maxed out (or close to it) except for Crysis and Far Cry 2, of course :).
