Are all killerk copies really killerk copies? most people have never even heard of him. does that mean every tube, block trigger list type gun is a copy? most people would say yes, others would say no and the rest would not even care. so are they really that bad, because I've seen some killerk copies that are better than killerks . Are all knex guns that bad?

First of all let me just say that i find killerks magnum, yes killerk's, a pretty good gun.Its design is very good so good that it can be modified in several different ways ways.After a few tweaks to the trigger mechinism i was able to apply a strong rubberband, so it could finally reach about 38-45 ft and hit hard with one shot.But i also discovered a shotgun effect when put three bullets in.I know the picture isn't good and its not mine but my computer isn't letting me upload mine.try to follow my explanation.You put the bullet in the main barrel(orange connecter) then above and below there are two empty slots where the ram also hits, jam(not really jam just put in) 2 more bullets above and below, so when shot three come out!SORRY FOR CRAPPY EXPLANATION BUT ITS NOT LETTING ME CREATE NOTES!Technically shotguns arn't susposed to go very far so when you put 3 'slugs' it only reachs 15 feet but hurts really hard. really HARD.If you already know this feature then don't blame me , its something that hasn't been shared.BTW its also cooler when held sideways so the shot comes in a split effect.IT REALLY HURT WHEN SHOT WITH THIS MODE!IT REALLY HURT WHEN SHOT WITH THIS MODE!IT REALLY HURT WHEN SHOT WITH THIS MODE!IT REALLY HURT WHEN SHOT WITH THIS MODE!

Overall do you guys think Killerks Knex Pistol is better than his Magnum. Or do you think KIllerks Magnum is better than his first pistol? I think his Magnum is better-because it looks better, better accuracy,and has real trigger thats unique.

Ok, so I decided to rebuild it, and I found I got some stuff wrongBodyStock: 8/10 Why: comfyHandle: 8/10 Why: Comfy overall, but there is this spot where I get poked sometimesTrigger: 9/10 Why: seems very reliable, It didnt break this time around (idk why, I built it the exact same way I did from last time), but when you remove the rubberbands, that green rod can fall out.Barrel: 9/10 Why: works very well, but its a generic tube and stickTurret: 10/10 Why: It works awesome with the rest of the gun. Looks: 9/10 Why: looks tight, especially when loaded up with red rods, but the turret seems a bit out of place with the rest of the gunPerformanceRange: 10/10 Why: 90-100 feet flat (2 rubberbands)Power: 10/10 Why: its the most powerful gun I have ever made. MAKE THIS believe me u will like it...hopefully lol long story short it is designed to b as good as i can get it the new mods allow for interchangeable grips a slide can easily be attached w/out any body changes the firing pin is stronger than ever w/ less friction than ever which equals more power try out the mods for yourself and as always be safe and have fun! thanks guys Zak inspired trigger mod is the final pic...it is a must have mod! -thanks Zak

How many top ranked Knex guns have u built? Have u discovered any problems with the design? If so what? I have recently built several top ranked assault type Knex guns and have run into multiple problems I was wondering how faulty weapons get such high ratings Its frustrating to build these guns and run into so many basic design flaws ps although i haven't built the assault pistol by Viccie something i must give credit to him for making a quality weapon that doesn't have too many design issues nice work! I received my TR from Killerk this morning. I've had a little hands on time with it so I'll write up my text review now, though I'll also be making a video review in the near future. For now, here's the unboxing and first impressions video: So just to start, I've never made a TR before. I have limited experience with turreted weapons. So what I knew about them I only got from videos and other people's reviews. I didn't doubt the TR was a great performing weapon, but I was wondering what all the hubbub was about. After finally messing around with one for the morning, I can see where the praise comes from. I also noted some things I'd still like improved, at least to personalize on my variant. I'm going to use a grade scheme (because everyone's impressions on stars and scales are usually biased toward higher numbers). So, just to clarify, don't think of C as bad. It's average. I'll point out what's subjective. I'll nitpick a lot of little things, and I'll give credit where credit is due. Anywho, on to the review. Aesthetics: C+ My impression of the TR has always been that it's been a rather simple weapon. I'm a rather hard man to please in this category. The front is a tube barrel construction. I don't care for the looks of turrets because they're rather chunky for the amount of ammo they take up. The stock is a little skeletony. And it seemingly has weird support pieces thrown in random places. But it's not bad. It still looks like a good weapon. The stock has a nice design. It has a relatively clean cut design around the outside. Ultimately, I know most was for the sake of a strong, durable weapon, and I'll be sure to personalize it more. Ergonomics: D+ This one I gotta be honest on. The handle just doesn't float my boat. My hands are shaped oddly so I've always made weird sorts of handles myself. While the tires are a cool concept, they help keep your grip on the weapon, and I thought they'd be comfortable, their edges tends to stick out and dig into my hands. They also bulk up handle in a way that my hand just doesn't easily fit it. Like, I know my Oodassault's handle is also rather big, but my hand still fit around it naturally with a flat back and indents around around my thumb and point finger web. But this is something I can customize in the future, so it's not the end of the world by any means. I can still use it as is without being in total pain. The trigger is a bit different. Not uncomfortable, but not the way I like triggers. Something I'll want to change, but I don't want to compromise its strength, so I'm going to keep analyzing it. The stock is a bit compact. This is yet another preference thing, but I'd like it at a slightly longer length. The charging handle isn't too comfortable to use either. With the rear sight integrated into it, it's a bit difficult to get a good grip on, which is important when you have the bands loaded up on it. And again, this is subjective so I'm sure I can improve it for my preferences and it'll be just fine. I otherwise appreciate what Killerk attempted here. The front grip on the other had is rather comfortable. I don't think I'll need to change that ever. Ease of Use: B Things look up from here. The ratchet mechanism wasn't immediately obvious to me, but with previous K'nexing experience, I figured it out. Still, I wouldn't trust a newbie to be able to pick it up and know how to use that part specifically without direction. So that's part of the reason it's not a higher grade, but again, nitpicking. It's otherwise incredibly useful to be able to wind the band without turning the turret itself. It lets you load ammo and then just twist the ratchet, which isn't too difficult, to make sure it loads after each shot. When I change the charging handle to be more comfortable, I'll appreciate it much more. Having a charging handle on a weapon loaded up with a lot bands makes it a lot easier to use. The rail guides and the pin guide are all perfectly constructed to make sure it's a smooth, straight pullback. On that note, back to the stock from an ease of use perspective, because it's a bit shorter than I'd like, I don't feel like I have proper leverage on the charging handle. It's one thing I like about pistols, being able to use both arms to pull apart the gun and the pin to make it easier to draw. For this weapon, it's recommended to shoulder the stock and push back against you, which would be a little easier for me with a longer stock. It probably won't be a problem for others. Overall, I think someone strong enough could pick it up and, with a little direction, figure it out pretty quickly. It's something I could easily teach a friend how to use and then they shouldn't have a problem with it. Reliability: A This is one of the areas where the TR shines. It's only not perfect because of a few possible things you can do to mess it up. Now, to be fair, I haven't fired it enough to have a misfire, but I doubt that'll ever be a problem. The nature of the turret itself means that you shouldn't have any problems. However, I'd worry about little things like bumping the turret in such a way it skips a round. The power transfer pins offer a point of failure for the gun if you're not careful. Removing a round requires you to manually push back in the pin to avoid accidentally firing off an empty chamber, which I can imagine might be bad. I'm also a wee bit skeptical about the trigger setup but it hasn't failed on me. I may want to make a safety mechanism for this weapon, though. Something that wouldn't allow the trigger to move out of the way of the pin at all. Construction: A- It's pretty dang solid. I did notice (more nitpicking) that the handle connection creaks a little bit. So it's not perfectly solid, but Killerk did a pretty good job at constructing this in such a way there shouldn't be many points of failure. It held up in shipping after all. There are some odd support structures here and there, but then some areas that are either neglected, or he just didn't care about. Honestly, I have no idea what he added because he thought it was necessary, what he added because it looked cool, and what he added just because he could. So there are some things I might change for the sake of consistency and aesthetics, but it's otherwise something I'd trust be able to drop, pickup, and use just fine. I'd only worry about dropping it right on the turret. Performance: A+ This is the one area you can say is perfect for the TR. Basically, it's designed to maximize power, and finned ammo are designed to be stable, thus increasing range and accuracy. The tube barrel minimizes the snag on the pin from hitting any gaps and gives the gun a solid mounting point for bands. The turret treats each round as a single shot. The length of the charging distance is maximized while still being practical. It's as good as you can do for a pin gun, and it's as accurate as you can make K'nex ammo with minimal modification/using entirely different materials. Overall Thoughts as a War Weapon: I'm not going to grade this because there's so much opinion thrown in here, it wouldn't be fair. I can see where this thing would be everyone's weapon of choice. It has an 8 round capacity, which seems limiting, but you can reload whenever you happen to find ammo, so in theory it shouldn't be a problem until you're rushed with low ammo. If fin ammo is allowed, then clearly it's the best you can do for a repeater at the moment. Without it, it's got the most effective range you'll possibly find for a pin gun, though it's just not as easy for me to prime as a pistol. It's a weapon more about picking your shots instead of dishing them out as fast as possible. I'll need to do some raw comparisons with my Oodassault pistol to see which I'd prefer after I see all the differences. For example, what if the range really does make a difference compared to the ease of recharging? I'll just have to make it to a war with both weapons sometime and see which I do better with. Overall Thoughts as a Fun Weapon: Its main novelty is the range and accuracy you get in a repeater. It's satisfying to shoot multiple rounds down range and hit your target with ease. Other than that, it's mostly featureless. It's not something I'd dink around with in the house (mostly out of fret of damaging the walls). It might impress my friends the first time they see it and how far it fires. The ratchet mechanism might also be cool to show. But after that, there isn't much wow factor. Not that you'd need much more. It shoots hard. That's all you'll need to wow someone with plastic and rubber bands. I'm personally the kind of guy that likes having things like realistic charging handles, removable magazines, adjustable stocks, etc. just for novelty's sake, but that's just me. This is a no-nonsense weapon built for performance, and in that regard it does very well. I'll keep mine around and make small modifications to it. I won't deconstruct it for pieces to make other weapons. It'll be nice to have a raw performance weapon around all the time so I can focus on new concepts without think "I wish I had something that fired well, I'm going to rebuild my Oodassault." So it's fun enough to be worth keeping. Overall, I'd highly recommend making it at least once just to experience it, see what it's all about. If you enjoy performance, taking highly accurate and ranged shots at targets, you'll appreciate it. It's also pretty modular in that if you keep its base construction intact, you can personalize it reasonably well. Better weapons can be built just for the sake of having fun, so it's not something everyone might want to keep permanently, but if you have the pieces, I think a lot of people will like to keep it around, as many already have.

Hey i have made a new knex rubberband gun its still in beta testing but i am defenitley going to post it here and i dont yet have a picture of it (i cant use my moms camera) so i will work my best in mlcad its just killerks srv1 handle with a barell of my own creation i made it when i noticed i did not have enough peices to make his gun so i modded mine to make it rubberband gun compatable and i have done this a long time ago but i moded my knife and made a switch blade knife so if you want me to post the upgrades/new stuff yeah i will try and get a video up of each thing soon

This is a gun i have been working on. The cool thing about it is that to fire it all u have to do is pull the trigger and it will pull the firing pin and shoot it. This makes it a billion times faster to shoot. idk if i should post or not so tell me what u think

Hello fellow iblers’! I’m JonnyBGood and today I decided to post a review of the SRV3 concept. Be sure to note that this is not KILLERK’s official version but a close knock-off. I did not use the same bands or the exactly same mech. I also did not make side covers or the monopod so don’t judge his version based on my model. I also never shot it outdoors so ranges are a complete guess, but I will say KILLERK’s ranges are very believable since I witnessed them at Knex War 2013. So now with all that gibberish out of the way what exactly am I reviewing? Well I’m reviewing the concept, the ratchet mech, trigger mech, and any other part that contributes to the guns function and ergonomics. Okay so now let’s start with the ratchet… Ratchet- After the first use of the gun, I couldn’t imagine trying to load the gun without it. I did try loading it without using it and ended up spontaneous launching it in random directions, something you don’t want to happen with a gun this powerful. (Luckily the wall I hit was cement) The ratchet concept is really what makes the gun usable for people of any age, height or strength so I definitely think KILLERK did a great job designing this feature. Trigger- Well I willingly admit this part is the most different from KILLERK’s version, but it does rely on the same concept of the round being held in by a clamping force. I was actually the most concerned about how this would work because to me holding back a force that could send a yellow rod through a door with a clamp didn’t quite make sense to me. I will saw after building it I now don’t doubt the clamps capability to hold the round, and now it also makes sense as to why he used a clamp. The clamp trigger mech allows for a very light trigger pull due to the pivot point being so close to the ammo, so the slightest pull moves the clamp up. SRV-3 trigger is definitely one of those surprising concepts, being that the most powerful gun on instructible’s has one of the lightest trigger pulls I have ever used. Random other things- The ratchet and trigger were the two concepts which to me stood out the most for the SRV-3 concept but there are many other things about the gun which I will cover here. The Handle- So surprisingly enough it is actually pretty comfy, and it’s mainly built to hold the heaviest knex gun I have ever built. On the other hand, I wouldn’t try lifting this gun by just the handle, but why would you? You are definitely not going to akimbo these things unless maybe the handles were moved more toward the front of the gun, and then held like an RPG, but again why would you even want to akimbo or hold it with one hand? It’s a sniper rifle! The Dimensions and some other random things- Alright I bring dimensions up here because I think it’s one thing to see pictures and another to actually know how big this is. If you stand it on end it’s about six feet tall and it’s a yellow rod wide, so ten layers wide. (if you filled in the center which you would not do). Again as I ranted about earlier this is what makes this gun so heavy but it’s required for the amount of power it’s capable of. You would also add another two layers if you wanted to make it more presentable so it could be 12 layers wide if you want it to be. Another thing that I noticed on my version was that the gun bows toward the end. Granted I’m not sure as to why or if I was missing a support somewhere but it wasn’t a problem just something I noticed. The only other thing I was planning on reviewing the accuracy but if anything was relevant it is that I suck at shooting accurately! XD I can’t even shoot guns I build accurately so, a guy who is much better at creating coverfire, will not be giving an accuracy score. I will say the sights allowed me to shoot a 8 ½ by 11 sheet of paper from ten to twenty feet relatively easily, so they do help. In conclusion I would recommend you build the SRV-3 if you have the pieces for it. I would especially recommend it if you haven’t built one of KILLERK’S SR’s before because the power will blow you away. It is deffinitlly the king of the slingshot platform for now and probably until an SRV-4. ( I apologize for the poor picture quality but it would not fit in my normal picture taking spot and there's still too much snow outside for outdoor pictures. Sorry!)

I haven't had the time to work on the SRv3 in a while so here is what I am thinking of doing. Let me know what you think. I want to release an ible on what I have built up to this point. Which by the way is a working shooting gun that shoots exactly how I want it to I just need the body, front, grip, stock, and bi pod to be designed and built. If you build what I present your SRv3 will shoot 500ft. What do you think? I want to make this gun a collaboration of design ideas so we can all build the gun as a community. Let me know if this sounds fun to you all. If so I'll post pics this weekend! 08/11/2013 Pics of both my working SRv3 and Directional Mine Prototype coming soon! Just a few fun stats of the two. The SRv3 has been recorded to shoot over 500ft and is extremely accurate. The Directional Mine launches 25+ K'nex green rods over 50ft in a nice spread pattern that can be activated by both trip wire and pull cord. Both are shooting great and are extremely fun to use! A lot of you know my Sr-v1 it used only 89 yellow connectors well here is my Sr-v2 it has a different body from killerk's and a modded mech but it is is the same mech. unlike my other this uses 212 yellow connectors(not the most part friendly) and is so much more powerful I will post if any one wants but i need to ask killerk first. info it is one inch short of 5 feet uses 3 # 64 rbs Range: 200 feet(with bad fins) ammo: killerk's Sr-v2 bolt and now a bunch of random pic of it sorry about the bad pic

Here is the link.UPDATEI added an extended barrel, because of The Jamalam's suggestion, and I weighed it and it is 1.6 Kilograms which equals ~ 3.5 pounds.UpdateI changed the mag and reinforced some parts.I have finally finished my awesome sniper. I have been planning this gun since June and started building about 2 weeks ago. It is the first of its kind. It uses a rail system like dsman195276's sniper but it has a mag. It has a lot of power and accuracy because of the low friction barrel made out of orange connectors and wheels. It has a trigger that I think is better than dsman's sniper trigger. It has a comfy handle that is like dsman's sniper handle. It has a comfy stock a very accurate and cool looking scope. It also has a sturdy bipod of my design and a comfy front hand grip. it is also easy to pull back the firing pin. the mag capacity is ~10. Mag reload time is ~8 seconds. Time to pull back firing pin and power transfer and fire is ~4 seconds. Here are some pictures.
