I want to build an automatic cricket feeder for my lizard (bearded dragon) because I have to stay home at her eating times and sometimes I want or need to go out. * Ideally I would like to build a small "cabinet" with 1-3 drawers and somehow make the doors open at 11am, 4pm and 9pm, * If this is too hard one door will do but I would need to reprogram it constantly. (crickets would be inside and they would get out as soon as the door opens) * I already have a timer that I can plug and program to 23 different times so I was thinking on using that (or not), It could be something that when on opens or keeps the door open, and I can keep it off the rest of the day with the timer, I just don't know how to do this and how to do something that won't burn after a minute on because that's the minimum time the timer works. * It doesn't need to close back (and that is safer too) * It can't be light activated because some lights are on at all times and another has a timer and goes on for 20 minutes every hour. *It needs to be small because the terrarium is 18inchX18X18 and I don't want to take a lot of room Thank you so very much!!

We're planning to get a Yemen (veiled) chameleon and found a US manufacturer making cages like the one below, however the shipping to the UK was prohibitive. So, I'm thinking of a DIY version using THIS sort of mesh and rigid plastic extrusions and was wondering if anyone's made something similar. It needs to be fairly presentable, so plumbing tubing with net draped over is a non-starter. Required size is 30" wide x 16" deep x 42" high.

The one's at knexusergroup are the one's from the big air ball tower. So my question is: Are they the same and if not what are the differences? Thanks for reading this. -sathothy

Lesson One: Beginning Dragons are basically giant lizards with wings but you need to know that dragons have types. Darkness Light Holy Space Fire Water Grass Electric Wood Mecha Ground Dirt Air and Plain Dragons also have deadly attacks and can kill if needed. That is why you never go close to a dragon. EVER. I did once and got a huge scratch. Also the types listed Aren't the only types. There are still more to be found. In the next lesson you will learn the most common tools for catching dragons.

My hamster recently died and I am thinking of getting another pet that will fit in the cage. I don't want fish. I have only had a cat and a hamster ever so if the animal is for more experienced owners than don't suggest it. Also if it is an animal that is hard to care for could you tell me that from past experiences. Some of my thoughts are a type of snake, a type of turtle, a possible lizard, and any other reptile or mammal that is good for beginners.

I'd like to build wire frame shapes of lizards, geckos, insects and etc for lighting up at night. I've built a 4 foot gecko out of conduit tubing and fencing wire. It is very strong but was difficult to work with. I think there must be easier materials to work with. I've seen shapes made out of plastic filament, and then there are zoos that do the Christmas shows. Garden centers also sell the wire frame shapes for topiary. The typical size is going to be between 1 and 3 feet long. The material doesn't have to be hollow like tubing, it can be a solid like wire. Ideally, the material would be something I could heat up, bend to a design, then it would retain its shape when cool. A little flexibility is good but the design has to withstand being outdoors. Thanks for any tips.
