I made a knex rifle that blows connector ammo in half. With three rubber bands. By blows in half, I mean the connectors split in half. Is this too much power? What should I do?

Today I found one of my knex guns reposted under a different name without permission from me or ever credit given in the instructable. I posted the original under this license: This license lets others remix, tweak, and build upon your work non-commercially, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. Others can download and redistribute your work just like the by-nc-nd license, but they can also translate, make remixes, and produce new stories based on your work. All new work based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also be non-commercial in nature. hmmm seems like a breech to me... here is the original posted by me here is the other guy's the only difference is that he stuck on some pointless additions. below is an image of the original instructable as I found it.

Ads and such usually appear off to the side of forum pages, and instructables, most are scams (haha), but occasionally they are something worth checking into.Below is the ad I saw on the side of a forum topic, and decided to follow it.I got the address for Big Think, which is, from what I gathered, a plethora of ideas for many different things to better the nation.Below is Eric Wilhelm talking about Instructable's impact on education.LINKBTW, there is a typo on the second link..:D

I built a hotwire device to cut foam insulation. If I connect it directly to a 12 volt battery, it gets 'way too hot very quickly--the hotwire turns red almost immediately. However, if I connect the device to a wall charger rated at 5 volt/2amps, it works fine,if a little too cool for a good cutting speed. What's happening here?

I bought a $20 computer from the Salvation Army, and it is in working condition. However, I dont have a spare mouse, monitor, keyboard, or power cord for it. So I did like a normal nerd, and harvested it. I got all the internals(It was running a Pentium II on windows 98, so it's pretty old) including the RAM. It had 3 sticks-1 SIMM and 2 DIMMs. On the SIMM, it clealy said that it had 64MB. However, on the other two, it says nothing about size from what I can see. There is a label, if it means something, that says: MT16LSDT464AG-662C1 9807D 308210 5000227 On the first label, and: MT16LSDT464AG-662C1 9808D 30821C 5000227 On the second. I would really like to know how much is on these sticks, so I know if I should use them for myself, sell them, or just trash them. Thank you!

I honestly don't know what to say. I don't know who, but someone was gracious enough to gift me with pro membership. I honestly don't know who, or for why except for this message they gave me, "Since you cared to ask," I just wanted to say Thank You. I honestly appreciate it, and wish I could thank you properly. Thanks.

So today I went down to some local woods with a hammer (Geode, granite, marble hunting) and I saw that 2 friends of mine had dug up a 20-30 pound rock. It was a heavy little bugger. So I swung the hammer at the rock for half an hour until I had about 30-50 small chunks of granite. The main reason I broke it was so that me and my friends could split it. One of my friends didn't want it. The other friend wasn't allowed to have it. All that was left was me. So I then realized that it was way too much to carry around. So I told another friends that didn't help do anything but polish the freaking thing with a brush *pauses and laughs* that I would give him all of it but 3 peices. I'm starting to regret saying that. So I wanna know... is granite worth anything/expensive?

I found plans to make a device to give yourself a static charge using a negative ion generator. It outputs 7.5 kV and 10 mA. I've seen it in use and I know it's not dangerous. I wanted to build two of them together making it output 15 kV. Unfortunately that would also make it 20 mA. I'm not sure what the resistance of the human body is so I guess my question is will 15 kV and 20 mA flowing through a person be dangerous? Thank you for the replies and I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm pretty new to my electronic hobbies.

I don't think I would actually decide to change PCs, but if I were to sell it let's say on Craigslist, what would be a good price? It's an HP Pavilion Slimline. Dual Core 2.50GHz Intel Pentium E5200. 800MHz System Bus 2MB L2 Cache. Running Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit with 3GB RAM and 286GB Hard Drive. An average HP keyboard and mouse both wired. No camera. CD R CD RW drive. 3 USB ports broken on back but 4 port Rocketfish USB Hub. A Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 GPU at 1GB. If that's not enough info just let me know. I hope it is at least maybe $350! Last question, is $699.99 a good price for a HPE h8-1360t? Its 3.4GHz and a 2GB NVidia GeForce GT630 with 8GB RAM and 1T hard drive, just to sum it up.

Hi guys... Ok, I was posting this asa comment, then I remembered the "be nice" rule and thougth about setting things in a positive way. AIM: I like instructables a whole lot. I come here EVERY DAY for inspiration and help in many things. So I whant it to remain the nice place I think it is, full of creative people that solves everyday problems and improves lives of other with the power of theyr brain and hands. In order to keep this I thing it is important to keep things "brand free". COMPLAIN: There are too much questionable sugru instructables around, Let's face it. Some of them are real innovative and clever, but much of those are daily and"not that usefull" at all. The point is: aren't those qualifiable as COMMERCIAL ADDS ?? I mean... I like that thing, but are we sure that there is nothing irregular going on? Thanks

i was curious if anyone could tell me how much water (pressure/ volume) it takes to turn a small hydro power generator? I ask because i have about 120 ft. of fall from the top of my property to the bottom. I was curious how hard it would be be to gravity water through a hydro station at the lower end. I plan on reading up on some small generators , but thought someone has probably already knows the answer. The ones i seen on another post did not get into the pressure volume information. Thanks for any help you could give.
