MotaBoi's K'nex Handgun

Ok... this was originally meant to be a Desert Eagle and it looked pretty good... but it didn't shoot very well at all, that's why I didn't call it a Desert Eagle.  In the future (next week) i will make a replica that does shoot. Some features: 30 - 40+ ft range True trigger 8 round mag Sounds really cool CREDIT TO TRAUTS,  SUBSCRIBE TO HIM!!!  I USED HIS MECHANISM FOR THIS GUN.  A VIDEO WILL BE UP THIS WEEK AND INSTRUCTIONS ON THE WEEKEND!!!

Ok me first time here i need help

Ok so i just build the sr v2 or 1 or something like that! It has amazing range and accuracy, but i want to build a different gun. I don't know which one though. Can you guys give me a few suggestions. - i don't want to have to set up the elastic ever shot. - So i need a bolt action or semi or fully auto or something. -Also it need to hold multiple ammo not just one (preferably at least 5 shots before reloading) -ALSO IT MUST BE ABLE TO GO THROUGH A CARB BOARD BOX!! -And must not jam very often. - also i need it to have good range. - i have a ton of k'nex pieces and dont; care about the size or look what so ever! So what gun fits all my need!!!! please respond fast if you can! Thanks!!1

NO MORE SINGLE SHOT BLOCK TRIGGER FRONT LOADING KNEX GUNS

Have you ever noticed that people keep making 1 shot front-loading knex guns without feeders or clips, it's like using muskets when we have full semi autos and repeaters, stop it please don't! Even if it can rip through cardboard, they are still one shot guns. try designing better guns and stop thinking that a one shot gun with nooo improvements is going to impress people. It only clogs up the site causing it hard to read the good stuff. Anyway I love knex and back in the good old days nobody built to many bad guns, now a whole lot of people are making block trigger front loading guns, try using existing designs and improve them but there's not much to improve with these simple tube, block, stick and rubber band projectile launchers!!!!! To sum it up, no more Killerk or your name here copies

K'nex gun question: When firing a k'nex gun, have you ever experienced kick? Answered

History: A few months ago, I built and modified I_am_canadian's stryker pistol(Is that how you spell it?).After piling on the rubber bands, I experienced what was more than a slight kick.Today, I had modified my ratchet-system design for a rifle (Built 100% from scratch!{Except for the ratchet itself.})in order for it to not waste power, and upon firing, I felt it.The kick I experienced was not as great as that from the strryker pistol, but it was fairly noticable. ______________________________________________________________________________ Connections or possible explanations: -Both instances occured after a power-related modification -The communists did it! -Both were ratchet systems -COMMUNISM! -They had more rubber-bands than they were ment to hold -HIPPIES (Them, too.) -Both were very powerful As you can see, between the hippies, the communism, and the scientific explanations. There are many possible answers (A few of which are serious in nature.), and one or many could be legitimate. _______________________________________________________________________________ So the question stands: Have you ever experienced kick while firing a k'nex gun?

Merry Knexmas!

Merry Knexmas! From Hiyadudez! It's almost here, Christmas, one of the happiest times of the year. Lets start of by singing a song, made by Logic boy :-) Rudolph, the red-turreted knexsayer had a very shiny turret.  And if you ever saw it,  you would even say it was awsome.  All of the other knex guns  used to laugh and call it names.  They never let poor Rudolph  join in any knex wars.  Then one foggy Christmas Eve  Mepain came to say:  "Rudolph with your Turret so bright,  won't you be my primary tonight?"  Then all the knex guns loved him  as they shot out with glee,  Rudolph the red-turreted knexsayer,  you'll go down in history!     Well, that was completely random... but I bet you are singing it in your head right at this very moment though! Hehe :-) Anyway, I only made this because I was bored, cya!

8-Shot Deconstruction Round Concept

A long time ago, I looked at Mepain's 8-Shot Deconstruction Round Revolver, and I really liked the idea, but as all concepts, it didn't shoot far. Within 20 minutes the other day I had made a small, real-triggered pistol (cock+revolve+shoot) with 8 shots, where the firing pin hits a white rod off of a snowflake connector. This was meant to be a simple revolver for people with few pieces, or who just want a fun gun. At a 45 degree angle, I won't lie, it probably gets around 10-20 feet, depending on the wear and tear of your pieces. It won't win any wars, it is a simple sidearm so you can build more piece consuming firearms. I will have pictures up shortly. Edit: I've improved range by some number, and it is now more complex and piece consuming but more reliable, and the clip design has been perfected. Advantages over guns with magazines: - Never Jams. Ever. - Slanted handle with no magazine inside. No broken pieces or clumsy mag pushers in your way. - Bullets are spread out in a circle. It is very compact, especially if you use green rods instead of whites. - Detachable wheels. This means quick reload if you have extra wheels pre-built. - Easy trigger pull. You don't need a super-powerful rubber band to make it shoot far, so the trigger pull is smooth and easy. - Super easy to build. You don't need to be an expert in k'nex to know how this works. Because it takes up less space and pieces than a magazine, and the clip design requires no rubber bands (unless you really want auto-revolver) this design could easily be perfected and expanded upon to a rifle, or high-powered weapon. It uses one black Y-connector, for the trigger, and I'm sure there's another way to do it, but this is probably the best. I can't find my camera; when I do, I will have pictures up. Probably not instructions because the thing is easy to build from pictures and a pain to take apart, but I'll be answering questions frequently when it's up and posting helpful pictures to anybody who requests it. SRv3

I plan on using this forum to show off the SRv3 and get others to help me finish the project. JonnyBgood is right now working on building the SRv3. It is my hope that together along with help from others on the site can continue to make this gun project a more complete more beautiful gun. The gun as is... is capable of shooting 500ft with my fin ammo and bands pictured. If you have the pieces and some eye protection I highly recommend you build the gun and help finish the project! I can not ever take full credit for my work since I learn not only from my past builds and ideas but also from each and everyone on this site and KI. I want to thank everyone for there many ideas and awesome builds that keeps me motivated to come back again and again to check in on the builds. I can't wait to see what this gun becomes. I plan on one day posting an ible once the gun is further along. I hope you all enjoy watching the progress and help be apart of it!

K'nex Gun Review - RBLTR V.1 (Red's Breach Loading Tactical Rifle)

Hello All This is a review on 'RBLTR V.1 (Red's Breach Loading Tactical Rifle)'. The RBLTR V.1 was published on the 1st of July 2013, and is considered by red himself to be his most powerful K'nex gun he has ever built. After building the gun and seeing the internals, it uses a pin pull mech and they look very similar to the G36C mech. There are many nice features to this gun that makes it original like the comfort bar and the sights. The gun shoots yellow rods to anyone wondering. STATS Range 10/10 - The range of the gun is rather high than an average gun. I managed to get 50ft accurately and around 80- 90 ft at an angle. It it described that the gun can reach ranges up to 70ft in the original description so I think 70ft is a fair judgement. As I managed to get 80ft plus,  I think the rating is 10/10. Appearance/ Looks 8/10 - The gun at first sight looks pretty hardcore although this does not really matter, I personally liked the comfort bar and the sights. The gun has a solid build so I think around a 8/10. Internals 8/10 - The internals within the gun are rather good, although I have had a few jams so I think 8/10. Broken Pieces 9/10 - The gun does not use any broken pieces however in some places the performance of the gun will exceed if broken pieces are used. That having been said I think a 9/10. Comfort 10/10 - I admire the gun mainly for its comfort of the handle. This helps to make the gun more accurate while aiming therefore a 10/10 without a doubt. Rate of Fire 6/10 - The ROF on this gun is quite good. When reloading this gun it did not take too long but their has been a lot more quicker and so I think a 6/10. Sturdiness/Durability 8/10 - The gun is put together well as I said earlier and I find it firm. When building this and adding the comfort bar is seemed that it was weak but as I added to it, it strengthened. Although the permanent fore-grip is rather weak in my opinion and could be stronger so I think a 8/10. Overall - 59/70 - This gun overall is awesome and I would recommend to build it! Also keep in mind that this is my ratings and opinions of the gun. Be sure to check out The Red Book of Westmarch's other guns. I hope you have enjoyed the review! Thank you! Hunter999

Bolt Action Rotary Magazine Gun (updated with internals)

Alright, it's been a while, forgive me. I work in spurts of an hour or two every few nights. It's not quite finished, but it's at a point I'm comfortable showing. I'm also working with BM, so hopefully he can make some improvements on it before it's posted. This gun is the combination of two different goals I've had. First off, I always wanted to make a bolt action. I came up with the idea for the modern bolt action long ago but was beaten to the punch. So since then, as others have made their own bolt actions, I still struggled to make one up to my own standards. I wanted something sleek and compact with a removable magazine. Second, I went off on a little tangent while building, which then turned into its own project: a rotary magazine. While it's been done before, I don't know if it was ever successfully used in a gun. It's more about the novelty than the practicality, but what it does do is give you more storage in a compact design and act as a decent foregrip. I wanted to make it a decently usable. At first I thought of making just some cruddy gun to show off the concept as a usable magazine, but then I decided I may as well go the full nine yards and make it perform well. So this is what I ended up with. I don't have a real name for it yet, but I've considered calling it the Barackuda, a portmanteau of Barack (Obama) and barracuda because...well why not. I wanted to keep it as compact as possible, so I used a barrel similar to my Oodassault 3 series and a stock connection similar to my PDR. The stock is a bit long compared to the body of the gun, so it may look awkward, but I wanted to give at least enough room to aim the gun without sticking the pin into your eye. The blue connectors in the stock stop the bolt right after the trigger engages. The bolt is somewhat typical. I like how it sits flush with the back of the gun rather than looking like an extension on the back of it. The handle isn't amazing, just a variation of my tried and true handle I've come to like. The trigger also isn't amazing, and in hindsight, I want to block a bit further back still, but it works for the limited space I've got. The magazine on the other hand is magical. Go look at my last topic for details on its operation. This version is for yellow rods. I've added a rotary lock and band. When the middle rod is pushed toward the trigger (like in the pic), it's locked. It can securely contain 10 usable yellow rods while locked, though it can load up to 12, the top 2 can fall out. You insert it into the gun by pressing the top two red rods at an angle into gaps in the grey connectors at the front, then rotate the magazine, slightly pushing in, until you get the white rod in the gaps of the yellow connector. Finally, you push in the middle red rod by the trigger all the way forward to unlock the magazine. Edit (9/10/2015): Made my adjustments and now I'm mostly satisfied with the weapon. Here's the video.

new knex gun coming out acctualy it out now name: morretti SR-4

The gun that can shoot better than Gorkems sniper ,and looks much cooler. here is a linkpic 1 ,2 ,3 ,4,and 5 are all old now. 1st pic is the gun it will be ,sorry it's such a small pic they don't have any bigger ones. ) : 2nd pic is a close up of the scope kinda dark sorry. 3rd pic is it with the new butt/stock ,and for grip.4th pic is tit with a new barrel that still needs work ,and the for grip is a better color.5th pic I added a bi-pod it can fold up it's awesome its not fragile ether!6th pic it now shoots gray rods and can shoot through hardly damp shoe boxes from 15 ft away ,and normal card board at 3 ft. away. and it has a new bi-pod taking inspiration from (knex sniper rifle)s bi-pod it works great now I got my sister to shoot it and she hates knex guns.7th pic It has a newer stronger bi-pod ,and a clip flap. 11th pic just a speciall thing you can add to make it reely beastly it still shoots just as good like that wich is awesome. I now added a flap to close up the mag and changed the front sight. Breaking news I got it to shoot 50ft ,7in. without aiming up I think its the best gun ever.More breaking news I got it to shoot 64 ft. and 5 in. by aiming it up at a 40* angle ,but you won't want to do that it is allot more fun to shoot something 15-20 ft. away without aiming up.It also shot in to an apple and 2 layers of bubble rap not to big of a deal. The mag uses 4 decapitated gray connectors ,or 2 orange connectors because you get two if you use orange connectors. It can use two square plates the size of a yellow rod from corner to corner ,and 2 triangle ones the size of a yellow rod on the biggest side.

work in progress *NEW pics added 10-29-10

Thanks to zak baken mepain ooda an everyone else who helped come up with the countless mods and ideas that have helped make the TR what it has become... ive always wanted to make a sturdier stock but just never invested the time into making one so... now ive found out what works well and what look i like and have started going with it don't mind the front/body of the gun cause it is not really a TR anyway im going to keep working with the design and make it look all pretty and whatnot and hopefully get some more pics up for you all soon! anyway enjoy and plz note the pics are just ideas and no where near the finished product 8-28-10 alright so here are the latest pics (pics4-5) i think it will look better with the TR series however it isn't as sturdy as the other designs but none the less it is still sturdier than previous models and strong enough to keep the gun aligned w/ 6 size 64 rubberbands cocked loaded and ready to fire (which btw is enough to shoot fin ammo clear past the 300ft mark) im still working on it and have more models/designs on the way so i highly don't recommend building anything until i finish up but if you like experimenting around then shoot for it anyway im going to get back to work and see what i can come up with o ya btw i highly recommend using the wheels on the handle it is sooo comfortable 8-29-10 pics 7-10 so i modded up the handle again and reconfigured how the bottom rail attached to it... finally everything is aligned properly and everything seems to be holding strong. its still continually being worked on but i think im getting closer to finish product 12-29-10 its been awhile since ive worked on knex however i thought i should share a pic of the gun so far hence pic11 it is a TR w/ ratchet nice sturdy stock still allows for a slide if wanted "best handle ever" trigger that never fails sturdy as hek firing pin bla bla bla... long story short it is simply reliable as it is sexy ; P but seriously i have it set up for my TR8 turret or my chain mod which i will be posting up sooner than later or so i hope

My random bullpup model

So Dr. Richy posted his CAR which drew a little inspiration from this weapon that I posted on Red's wall in hopes he just might be able to turn it into a firing weapon. However, as I suspected, that's just not an easy task and I didn't expect it to happen. So I'm gonna just throw this out there and show anyone that didn't see it. It's made to be convincing, it could probably be turned into a real firearm. It's a bullpup designed to take 5.56 NATO rounds. I designed it to be somewhat ergonomic and compact. It has the front grip from...I don't even know how long that I used on my UMP. It's pretty simple, reasonably comfortable, and lets you quickly attach any front grip or bipod you can come up with. The muzzle was made from a new concept for a rounded barrel that could be used as a real K'nex barrel. This can also take a very cruddy and simple silencer attachment (which is actually just my Master Sword handle that I never wanted to disassemble). Then I added a basic rail on top that allows it to take airsoft or real rail accessories. It's not perfect, but you can get the accessories to grip into the grooves. I added a fake charging handle that is located in a decent, but not optimal position. This flows into a cheek rest of sorts that's rather close to the back of the gun so it can accommodate the charging handle pin. Your head is kinda cramped against your shoulder, but your face itself is comfortable aiming. And the front sight is detachable if you were to add a rail sight. I'm thinking I'll probably make a new one tonight for fun. It'll be shorter to be similar in size to a PDR. However, I might (not a definite) give it exchangeable fake barrels based on this one that allows it to lock in with a single pin. Secondly, I'm going to change the front to include an integrated folding forehandle that will also be comfortable to hold folded. Or so I hope. I'm also going to move the charging handle forward and make the roof one and the same with the rail to slim it down ever so slightly. This will also move the cheek rest forward to a more accurate position like on Dr. Richy's. Finally, I hope to add some nifty features but I'm not sure at all on these. One would be a bolt lock which probably wouldn't be too hard. It'd basically be like the charging handle is a firing pin and the bolt release would be a trigger, just mounted differently on the gun. And then the harder one would be to make a magazine release near the handle like on a PDR instead of the current one I use that makes you have to "strip" the magazine. On a real gun, this would be a great feature for making reloads a lot faster.

Oodassault 3.7

Yeah, I've done this too much. 3 different models, 7 revisions for this model alone, 2 already posted. The 3.6 was satisfactory but I noticed there were still some problems for some people and it required some tweaking to make sure it worked right even though it was pretty reliable when it was set up right. This one is a lot more user friendly. I changed up some things so it's guaranteed to work without all the tweaking. It was just a few minor mods really. You won't probably catch any changes from the image alone at first so I'm obviously going to list them. -The simplest but probably most effective is adding another light grey in the middle above the magazine. At first I had a gap there to make stripper clip loading easier. However, it made the ammo shoot up a little higher and sometimes would cause it to spin out faster. I also suspect this may have been the reason a second round would be dragged out if the magazine wasn't set up right. -There's a green rod and spacer wedged in between the bottom of the magazine where the tilt bands are placed so that it doesn't squish the mag pusher. This allows for a weaker rubber band on the pusher so there's less chance of it exploding. -I changed how the the magazine rests against the rest of the gun by using mini knex adapters. I'm not sure if this is required as far as reliability goes but I suspect that it may have been why some people's guide rods were shot off. The magazine tilted in ever so slightly but just enough for the ammo to catch the rod. The mini K'nex also have a larger gap so it's a little easier to slide ammo in. Not too much of a difference but hey, whatever works. -The one you guys probably will like best. I changed the tilter just a little. It requires a rubber band to stay up but I didn't think it was a big deal. It allows the magazine to tilt out farther and the red connector can grip around an orange connector on the trigger guard in such a way that it takes some of the stress off your finger. This means you can use more tension on the magazine to make sure it stays shut without wearing out your finger. -Finally, I knew this for a bit but decided I'd finally show you that you can use green rods instead of white rods on the top middle three holes (the bottom pairs and the front and back pairs would be required to keep the gun sturdy). You can use green rods then instead of black Ys to block the green rods in the holes. I used this method for a simple rail like thingy and added a custom sight. It's more for looks than function but it actually works quite well. So yeah that's it. Between all the mods, it's guaranteed to work perfectly now as far as I know. Nothing has gone wrong since building the gun with everything changed. No magazine explosions, double shots, or anything that would otherwise be undesirable. Also, it's a little more accurate and gets a bit more range I'm guessing thanks to slightly more stable ammo. I'm not trying to make this sound super hyped. You should just know that I come from a long line of descendants whose ancestors built the Great Wall of China.
