Alright so I just wanted everybody to know that I posted the pistol with the mag update, but unfortunaty the mag isn't really good so I suggest making it and trying it into a single shot gun. Its probably won't be that hard. Still though its a very good gun and highly suggest building it. Hers the picure before and after the mag update

So someone asked me to make a review about Lowney's "LOSA" pistol and here it is. -Comfort 7/10 sometimes the ram nips your hand -Range 8/10(I only got 48ft angled with 2 64's) -Power 6/10, I shot my hand and it really didn't hurt at all -Accuracy 8/10 the gun is pretty accurate -Reliability 4/10 as long as you use a good strong band on the trigger, your good -Body Weight/Balance It's kinda heavy for a pistol -Magazine 4/10 I shot the gun and the mag wall closest to the trigger broke a few times So overall I'd give it a 6/10 and would not recommend it to anyone.

This is the contest me and TD were/are organizing. LOADING MeZak: 4/5. Very, very quick. OodAst3.6: 4/5. Not quite as quick as the MeZak, but it makes up for it in comfort. TBOS: 1/5. Truly agonizing. EAP: 3/5. Not bad. Tougher and more time consuming than the OodAst and MeZak, but much better than the TBOS. STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY / DURABILITY (Note, I'm rating according to how "Bendy" they feel.) MeZak: 4/5. Really sturdy. Barely any bend. OodAst: 4/5. Really sturdy, but again, just barely less sturdy than the MeZak. But not so much as to lower it a whole point. TBOS: 2/5. Only 3 layers. Bendy, bendy, bendy. EAP: 4/5. 5 layers, so it's obviously pretty good. RANGE (The first range is with 2 #64's, the second is with the maximum amount. Measurement was averaged out of 5 shots. I used Google Earth, but I promise I didn't cheat.) MeZak: 4/5. 39 feet. 63 feet. (Max. of 6 bands.) OodAst. 3/5. 44 feet. 52 feet. (Max. of 4 bands.) TBOS. 3/5. 41 feet. 41 feet. (Max. of 2 bands.) EAP: 2.5/5. 37 feet. 37 feet. (Max. of 2 bands.) FINAL SCORES MeZak: 12/15. #1 OodAst: 11/15. #2 TBOS: 6/15. #4 Ouch EAP: 9.5/15. #3 So, congrats MeZak, you win. (Though, I'd like to point out, this is based pretty much entirely on performance, not personal opinion.)

Here is my take on the Oodassault-Pistol By TheDunkis.Link: https://www.instructables.com/id/Oodassault-Pistol/Before I start, I'd like to highly recommend it.Trigger:Strong,Realistic, and reliable. Also has a safety, and is very innovative.Mag:Small, but it is very reliable. Note that it is slow to reload. Is also very new.Handle:Not much to say, but it feels good, and is very sturdy.Barrel:It looks iffy, but it is really good. The bullets fly extremely straight, and are pretty powerful.Overall:Innovation: 10/10 Almost all of this gun is 100% TD.Accuracy 10/10 I can hit a small target from 20 feet using the sights. Trigger: 9/10 Feels great, and is very reliable.Strength: 8/10 Like most 3-layer pistols, it could be broken quite easily.Range: 8/10 It shoots quite far, and maintains it's accuracy.Comfort 8/10 Trigger feels very good, and so does the handle.Reload: 8/10 The mag is slow to reload, but it is VERY reliable. Mod room: 8/10 This gun could have many mods for various reasons. It is built so you can easily change things like: Change ammo type (?)Add longer barrel, stock...etc.....Looks 7/10 It's not very realistic, but it looks cool.Raw Power: 7/10 Oodammo tends to be not very damaging, but it more than makes up for that with it's accuracy.83/1008/104*I love this gun. Love it.But the mag is too small and slow to reload. This makes a great sidearm, but just don't plan on reloading this while running away from the enemy.Link: https://www.instructables.com/id/Oodassault-Pistol/ It would make a good gun to make two of then have a mini war

This is a review of TD's newest pistol on Ibles, the Oodassault Pistol.Review requested by TD.Range: 7/1025-30 feet with 2 64's. Could be better, but not very bad for a pistol.Looks: 9/10Bleh. I don't look for how a gun looks, just reliability and power. But I'd say it looks pretty good. Strength(in terms of holding together) and Comfort: 7/10The back of the pistol exploded once for me. I wouldn't recommend putting too many rubberbands, the back may explode if you do.Also, the thicker part or the handle (middle layer) was pretty flimsy for me, and broke pretty often. After replacing the blue clip with a tan clip, it stayed in place and never broke off. No biggie.Other than that, very sturdy.Handle's very comfy, no rods sticking out anywhere.Reliability: 10/10Not once has this pistol jammed, or the trigger system failed. Power: 8/10Not too bad. Dents my super-special awesome cardboard (with extra reinforcement) a bit from a good 5-10 feet away.Accuracy: 9/10This uses oodammo, of course it's very accurate. I can hit a 3-inch target from about 15-20 feet away (and I suck at aiming lol).Extra Features/Sights: 7/10Sights are kinda unnecessary, but fun use if shooting at stationary targets from a REALLY short distance. Safety is also fun to play with, and pretty innovative. Nice work, TD. Piece Efficiency: 10/10Uses very little parts, and gets the job done.Overall: 8.4/10Very good pistol for playing around and war (for a sidearm). Reliable and powerful (for a pistol), this is a must build for anyone with the pieces. Ible: https://www.instructables.com/id/Oodassault-Pistol/EDIT: I have a bad sense of measuring. My friend with better depth perception came over today. He estimated about 20 feet flat with 2 #64s. Whoops :SAnd TD's right, I do rate too high. :S

So, another Oodammo pistol. *sigh* I'm probably not going to post it, unless many people want me to. It looks cool, has neat blade sights, and a removable mag. So, what do you think? Is it good, or bad, or neither? Please comment, and rate! - Owen. Edit : This is long gone, and now a ZKAR V2 Which is amazing! Although, now since I got my first Airsoft rifle, I'm probably going to cut back on the guns. :-P

Well, I just have finals this week and then I'm done with school. Long story short, I got into classes at the college and they finish earlier than the high school does so I pretty much will be graduated but without a diploma for a couple weeks. Fun! Anyways, I'm not in the mood for making anything big. However, I did want to put this to rest if need be. Do we need another oodammo pistol? Let's just take a quick poll. What's everyone's favorite oodammo pistol and why? No, I don't need ego food so be honest. Next, what don't you like about your favorite? What could be improved with it? If I do find enough valid suggestions, I'll make a 4th oodassault pistol. If I find that it's mostly just a matter of preference between features (i.e. size/pieces/looks vs durability, clips vs magazines, etc.) then I'll leave it at that. Others will be welcome to leach off this thread and try their hand at one too as long as they announce that they are doing so.

I have had a lot of success with instructables that have more than one objective in view. For example, my K'NEX Gun Attachments 'ible has had almost 4,000 views (not to mention 22 favorites), and I think that the main reason for this can be extensively attributed to the fact that there is more than one thing to look at within the 'ible. After all, look at BM2's L85A2. The gun is amazing, but people also (note the word ALSO, there) love the ACOG that he has included within the pictures. I think that this could be used again in a really cool instructable "initiative" that I wanted to propose to you guys. My idea is this. Why must we always post instructables with only one item included within them? I see no reason for why this should always be, so I propose this. A pistol instructable. What we would do is (a collection of us) build a bunch of shooting pistols (no models please) whether replicas or not, I don't care, so long as they shot and are relatively new (no carbon copies of other builds). Then, at the end of say, April, I would make and invite a bunch of you guys to post your pistols onto an instructable, and then I'd finally post after everybody got theirs added and edited. What do you guys think? The idea kinda seem sorta far fetched, but we could give it a whirl all the same...? -The Red Book of Westmarch

Well, there are literally thousands of sidearms out there, all made from knex. All have fallen to two categories: have not built yet and built. I'm seriously tired of knex guns that have a lack of function and too much good looks. and so, I would like to declare a contest. there are three main areas for scoring criteria: 1) function 2) size 3) broken pieces I am asking this great community to pull together and create something awesome. all entries should: > have a satisfying feel when the firing pin first slides home and the shot leaves the barrel. > feel/ look like a traditional side arm > have an innovative feature: IE, removable clips > not use broken pieces > be efficient. I don't want to be pulling the firing ram back with 20 pounds of force. scince people will continually argue over their gun's position, I will judge. I will also not submit anything. If you think you built a knex gun that meets these suggestions (and maybe smashes them), feel free to: < make an instructable with good/ amazing clarity of instructions < make the instructable sound like you care < post the instructable as a link in reply. thank you, and good luck. I'm sort of like the Simon Cowell of knex judging. hard to please. contest has opened now. contest will close on march 31, 12:00 AM.

Me and cj81499 did a testing session to see which gun is better. T.B.A.P ( Killer~SafeCracker) oodammo pistol ( Owen-Mon-82397) We did 6 tests to see which is better using 2 #64's for T.B.A.P and 1 for oodammo pistol. The results were: Range: oodammo pistol Has better range with the bands we were using ( #64's) Piercing power (Red rod muzzle loaded): T.B.A.P has better piercing power in 2 pieces of paper. Strength: As in body strength. They both broke on the 2nd drop. Trigger guard, magazines and chain all broke. Height: Pretty much range but with opposing gravity. Oodammo pistol has better height by about 5 feet. Accuracy: T.B.A.P has better accuracy with NYPA's shot Vs. cj81499's shot with the Oodammo pistol. Target was a soda can from 10 feet (approximately) Rapid fire capability: Oodammo pistol won with cj81499's hand at pulling back the ram Vs NYPA's hand. Well the score is this T.B.A.P: 2 and a draw Oodammo pistol 3 and a draw Comment on the bottom. EDIT: these results are on a unstable scale. As DJ radio and Killer~SafeCracker pointed out, somebody should build BOTH guns and see what they area t a stable hand. But as you notice we pointed out that it was our different hands.

Hi everyone, I was messing around today and came up with a pistol that uses shells. It uses a new shell design, but not a new gun (well except for the front where the shell is held). It shoots white rods about 40 45 feet. I won't be posting this unless I get inspired to make it into a true gun. Picture 1-2 the gun. Picture 3 the shell. Picture 4 the shell in the gun. Please tell me what you think, it only takes a few seconds. Killer~SafeCracker

Hello everybody I have not posted a KNEX gun for a while and have not made anything that worked that good but this is something I made a month ago that failed but I kind of liked how it looked and some other aspects of it. I know this isn't innovative or anything but it looked kind of cool and I have not seen something just like this before. Now what made this a failure was first the turret was held on by a rubber band. This could have been fixed if I just put a longer rod in but then that would look weird. Also this has a slide trigger that I came up with but I did not take the time to fix it so that it worked right and it was mounted wrong so it rubbed on my hand when I held the gun.

My neighbor was selling a standard paintball gun and all of the accessories and a pant pistol. He made me an offer for $40 for just the Pistol and the accessories, i don't know what he'll charge for the gun and the accessories but probably a little more. Should I get just the pistol and use it only or should I buy both if the price is low. What do you think? (Thats not the one in the picture)

I had nothing better to do so I decided to build a mini pistol for the heck of it. Very little effort was put into this so don't expect much. I guess it's something simple you could build plenty of for small wars with friends indoors. Well there's not much else to say. It gets max pin use from the tan rod pin so it should be satisfying range wise. It's durable enough to survive some small falls on carpet for sure. I just reset the trigger manually each time so that I didn't have to waste another rubber band. You can push it back while the pin is still resting but it'll catch once you pull it back. I didn't bother putting a mag pusher on but that shouldn't be hard to do. You can extend the handle if you want to. By the way I sort of discovered a new barrel. Away with black hand barrels. If you stick a green rod in the gaps like so but also do so on the other side, it creates a barrel that fits rods quite well. Until someone fulfills my request in my other thread, I'm at a lost for project ideas. Any requests? Something small preferably.

Okay, if you guys haven't built the ultra pistol 2 before, then get building! Or, if you built the original and liked it, then you'll love this! This is my first review so, yeah, i've seen many done, so I'll be fine. We'll start with reliability: This gun is very reliable, it's easy to fix when broken, it doesn't mess up when firing, and it's pretty much impossible for the new trigger to mess up. I give it a 10/10 Strength: This one is much stronger than the ultra pistol 1. It's smaller, making it stronger, and the new barrel is shorter, so it's stronger too, the only thing wrong is the handle and trigger connection, making the handle wobble a tiny bit. I give it a 9/10 Range: This gun is very powerful, due to single shot, so it can get a good 45 feet, or 55 if you use more bands. I give it a 9/10 Rate of Fire: It's a single shot, so you don't get a good ROF. I give it a 6/10 Comfortability: The only thing that you are holding is a handle, the handle is right handed, and i imagine it is comfortable like that. (i hold guns in my left hand. I give it a 8/10 Accuracy: This gun is damn accurate, even more accurate when you have finned rods, but not everyone has time or wants to make those. I give it a 9/10 Looks: This gun looks a lot like a magnum, which is a really cool gun, but there is something missing on it.... I give it a 9/10 Trigger: Trigger is a teensy bit forward, but it doesn't mess up or anything evil. I give it a 9/10 Last but not least- ammo: This gun takes a lot of different kinds of ammo, and you can test out which ones you like and whatever. I give it a 9/10 Overall: 8.7- a very good gun by Oblivitus

Ok, TD wanted me to do a review, here it is.STRUCTURALHandle: 9Very sturdy, 5 layers.Main body: 9Very sturdy, 5 layers.Magazine: 7It holds together, but you could break it off fairly easily.OVERALL: 8.3COMFORTHandle: 9.5Very comfy. For me that is. Don't argue with me about it, everyone's different.OVERALL: 9.5PERFORMANCERange: 8.5Pretty good with two used #64's. Around 45 ft. flat, 55 ft. 45'd.Magazine capacity: 9.5Just about the highest you'll get in a pistol.Reliability: 7Sorry, but if you don't put your hand in front of the magazine, it almost always breaks the tan rod off. Other than that, it always works.Trigger: 9Very nice. Never breaks, simple, holds a lot of pressure.OVERALL: 8.5In the end, I'd give it about a 9. Give or take a few decimals.Nice job TD, I'll look forward to future projects by you.

Overall do you guys think Killerks Knex Pistol is better than his Magnum. Or do you think KIllerks Magnum is better than his first pistol? I think his Magnum is better-because it looks better, better accuracy, and has real trigger thats unique.

There is no secondary choice when you have a good secondary. I thought I'd just drop by and give you guys a pic of my new Titanfall MK5 Smart Pistol. Essentially what I did was take my bros new FN Five-SeveN and made it into a heavily modded, futuristic, auto-aiming weapon. I'll be finishing this later on, but in the meantime, keep an eye out for my new Galil ARM.

This is a pretty intresting gun i made. its a 3 layer bullpup crossbow pistol. it fires about 50ft with some nice power and accuaracy behind it. the trigger is the intresting part. its inside the gun, and when you pull it, it pulls the lock out of the white connector (ratchet) tell me what you think!

This is my new knex gun! its a dual revolver pistol. it also self revolves! its got a true trigger and is very powerful. the only downside is that it fires a bit to the left on one revolver, and a bit to the right on the other one, its nothing huge though... i am still making the gun better (i give credit to Miles Tails Prower)

Meh, I was on a building spree and kept morphing a gun until I eventually came to this. After I was all done, I finally realized that I pretty much wasted my time because I accomplished nothing. Meh, it's a cool and different gun nonetheless, but it's nothing to get hyped over either. I was bored so I made a video for it anyways seeing how I haven't done that in a while. Enjoy. <br>

Here is my knex H.A.S.A, that stands for hammer action side arm. It can shoot 15-20ft with one rubberband. It just a single shot hammer action pistol. I do have a reason why I post this one. The mechanism can be made much smaller and more compact, being able to fit in a Colt realistic revolver shell. All you'd need to build is the revolver out of grey spacers and scotch tape. It could be done, I may or may not try and build one. Whatcha guys think?

I have not written an review in quite some time, so I though it would be good to take the time to do so again. I have recently built the gun titled: "Knex Pistol, with a NEW! firing mechanism, a Hammer," and I thought it would be good to settle the scores on this particular 'ible now, even though it was posted on Jan 12, 2008, and the last comment was posted on Aug 27, 2012. This gun is not as amazing as it has been made out to be. Granted, the hammer mech is kinda cool, and the way it was pulled off was not bad at all, but the way it was made on the whole needs to be spoken of. Pros: The hammer mechanism is great. It works efficiently and well, and it gives an "old-time-feel" to this gun. The trigger also works effectually, and keeps the hammer from moving every time. The loading process works well too. You pull the hammer back all the way, you push a round into the barrel, you pull the trigger, and then you repeat. Part of the reason, I think, that this gun works so well is because it is very simple, which is more than can be said for most guns (many of my guns included). Cons: The body. It is very hard to hold and looks like he (the creator) just slapped some parts on to the mechanism. This really does take away a lot of the ability of this gun, because you cannot hold it without being uncomfortable. You have to hold your hand in such a weird position, and the position of the handle is so low, that you can hardly reach the trigger. Lastly, the firing mech is very inconsistant. Some times if fires, sometimes it does not. Overall: I would suggest you build this gun...only if you want to get a idea of how a hammer gun should work. But don't come expecting a epic hammer gun that gets (as he claims) 30 ft. I fired this gun at least 20 times, and I doubt that it would get 10 ft. Now, I don't want to offend the author at all, and he has a great starting point, but he should have put more work into the gun overall. -The Red Book of Westmarch
