Basically, I've been on the fence for a while on whether or not to buy a PS3 or Xbox 360? I've finally decided to get one of them, but which one exactly? I've been kinda leaning towards PS3, as it has free online multiplayer, but what with the new, sleeker Xbox 360, and Natal *ahem* I mean, Kinect, I sorta want to get an Xbox, though I don't enjoy the fact that multiplayer costs money, however cheap it may be. Could someone help me, the late adapter decide? I'd be much obliged.

I was trying to get onto Instructables on my PS3 earlier, but all I got was an error message. The error says: 403 Forbidden Request forbidden by administrative rules. Is this site not allowed to work on the PS3, or is the Ps3 blocking it for some reason. ~thanks

It's always a treat to see what Ben Heck has been up to and his latest device, a PS3 laptop, is no exception. Just plug it in and you'll be up and gaming in no time with its own 17″ 720p HDMI display. As always, the whole thing is custom and if you have a project you'd like him to do he says he can "make the time." See also: Commodore 64 Laptop New PS3 Slim Laptop via TechEBlog

So i was playing Skate 2 when I had to go into my kitchen and put away some things. I came back, but forgot I put the controller under the gaming chair when I got up, so I sat, and the chair rolled right over the controller. I looked at it and the left joystick was half out. I pushed it back in and it was weird. It wasn't always in the middle. It would stay up, or left, or upper left, lower right, etc. I pulled the rubber part off and realized that the rod connected to the controller had to go in a slot in the rubber part. But considering the outside of the rubber part have to go INSIDE the controller, and it's hard to do. I tried unscrewing the bottom, but idk what kind of screw it is. I NEED HELP!

So guys, I was wondering there is any way to use a wired Xbox 360 on a PS3, without any adapter? Maybe unlocking the PS3? Searching the web I found some ways to use the Xbox controller on a PS3, but all of them have to use an adapter.

Hey everyone, does anyone have a broken ps3 console or a motherboard for one. I have a CECHL01. It has the red screen of death and I want to get a new motherboard for it. If it has the ylod that is fine. If it is a system that has the ylod I might be interested in that. I have a hdd for it. I know that most people on this site would be willing to fix their own ps3.

I know that its possible to get a ps3 running Linux, turning it into a fully functional computer. And some people say that it will make a good gaming computer, but the hardware doesnt seem to meet the requirements, only 325 mb of RAM when most games require 6gb. Will a ps3 be a good gaming computer running linux, or is it only good for gaming as a console?

I had a ylod ps3(past warranty) and attempted to repair it using the ylod oven instructable. It worked, however the usb ports ended up melting during the process. This would not be a problem, as I do not use them much. Unfortunately, you have to have them to sync the controller though. Does anyone know how I can replace the usb ports, or just add more. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have connected my PS3 to my internet, however, it only works about half the time. When it doesn't work I either get the error code 80710B23, or when i press join game it says that it cannot connect to EA online. I have spent many frustrating hours trying to find a solution for the error code, and i have tried everything, resetting, changing th MTU, etc. but nothing seems to work. However, when i connect through LAN to my modem it works all the time, so there must be something wrong when i connect wirelessly. I connect my PS3 to a netgear WGX102 range extender, which is then connected to a netgear XE102 through my powerline, and through a lan cable that is connected to my netgear DG834PN Modem/Router. My ISP is telkom, and i have a 512 kbps ADSL connection. My PS3 is a Canadian 60gb fatty. Hope thats enough info.
