Glitchy I2C LCD (lines on the display)?

So, I am working on a little project with an Atmega328 and an 16x2 LCD. I have it wired up and when I went to test it with the "hello world" example, The LCD does work, but there are random lines on the display..  It's not the contrast or the code, and I checked the connections and it all seems ok. What might be causing my problem?

Where can I find good 18650 cells?

I want to build a custom Li-Ion pack using the 18650 cells. But, when I go to look some up online, all that really turns up are the knockoff brands in which they claim a stupidly crazy high mAh rating. So.... where can I get some good cells?

Micro quadcopter circuit board as flight controller and receiver?

I have a little airhogs quadcopter. A motor had died in it, so it doesn't fly anymore. I kinda got the idea to connect ESCs to the motor output of the quad's circuit board. Would those motor outputs be able to drive the PWM input of the ESC, allowing the board to basically drive larger motors?

Is my HDD verging on failure?

I decided to check my HDD's S.M.A.R.T status, and I was a bit alarmed to see my reallocated sector count at 32 and my pending reallocation count at 24. This hard drive has been running for about 2 years and a half, and I haven't had any noticeable trouble with it. But, what should I do (besides backing my stuff up)?

Do Laptops have a "Power On" signal?

I was thinking of trying a project in which I do a custom watercooling setup on a gaming laptop of some kind. I would like the loop to power on and off with the laptop itself, but I don't want to use USB power or something like. That made me wonder if laptops have a power on signal, like desktop psu's have. Do they have it or something similar to a power on signal?

Motion stream crashing [Raspberry Pi]

Recently, I've been toying around with a USB webcam and a little addon called "Motion" on my rasberry pi 2. My goal was to make and dd treating webcam. I successfully done this, but not without encountering a major issue. When I connect to my stream, it works for a few seconds, then motion crashes. I can tell because the little light on the webcam goes out. Why on earth is it doing that?

I keep feeling like I'm out of place in group calls

Whenever I get into a group call on Discord or something, I just get the nagging feeling that I don't belong in some way. Like, I may feel that people aren't acknowledging my presence, or that they don't really care to talk towards me. Am I the only one who keeps feeling something like this, in these situations? And, what can I do about it?

Getting rid of the smell of a blown electrolytic capacitor? Answered

So, I was replacing a bad capacitor on a smart car battery charger. It was making a terrible whining noise, which the bad cap was causing. So, I replaced it. But, silly me, I installed it backwards, so when I powered it up, it vented up a storm. Now, the basement smells of burnt electrolytes. I've opened windows, and even had a fan running to draw air in, but that nasty smell lingers. What else could I try to rid of it?

RPi2: OSMC Terminal Issue

I am trying to make some changes to OSMC through the terminal, but there is an issue with the login portion of it. When I quit OSMC, and wait for the boot screen, I hit Esc, and it goes into the terminal. Next, the login. I enter "osmc", then its to the password. But, it refuses to let me type anything in when I get to this stage. If I hit enter, it tells me that my password is wrong and then it goes back to prompting me to login. After about 15 seconds, it just continues to boot into OSMC. Why on earth will it not let me enter a password, and how do I fix it?

Notifications from Android to Arduino via Bluetooth

I would like my phone to relay my notifications from the notification tray to an arduino. I had done alot of snooping around, and I have not found anything regarding doing that. Closest thing I had come to was sending notifications from the arduino itself, to the phone. But I want it the other way around. The idea is that it would display it to one of those 16x2 LCD displays, scrolling through whatever the notification says. I have yet to get the LCD, but in the meantime, I'd like to see about getting it to come through to the serial monitor. Does anyone know how to get android to do something like that?

Piping audio from mpg321 to PiFmRds

I was working on a little project that turns my Raspberry Pi 2 into a FM transmitter. The goal is to make it completely headless, having it start up immediately on boot, without any external computers or peripherals. Now, I have tried this following command: mpg321 --random /home/pi/music/ -  | sudo /home/pi/PiFmRds/src/pi_fm_rds -freq 95.5 -audio - The first command tells it to randomize and play the music. Then the directory it is in. Then there is the pipe, followed by the command to start PiFmRds, on the frequency of 95.5 FM. And finally, to take in audio from a pipe. But I get this: High Performance MPEG 1.0/2.0/2.5 Audio Player for Layer 1, 2, and 3. Version 0.3.2-1 (2012/03/25). Written and copyrights by Joe Drew, now maintained by Nanakos Chrysostomos and others. Uses code from various people. See 'README' for more! THIS SOFTWARE COMES WITH ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Playing MPEG stream from - ... Using mbox device /dev/vcio. Allocating physical memory: size = 3403776     mem_ref = 5     bus_addr = fd812000     virt_addr = 0x768c8000 ppm corr is 0.0000, divider is 1096.4912 (1096 + 2012*2^-12) [nominal 1096.4912]. It's not showing any errors, but it doesn't tell me a whole lot. Additionally, the radio I have tuned to the frequency that I set does not play anything, though it is silent, suggesting that it is transmitting. Is there some obvious error to what I am doing, or do I need to take a different approach? Or perhaps I just need to look into the documentation of mpg321 some more?
