I have read about having drilled very small holes (16 per inch in pairs of 8) in a line. Any ideas out there? Rentals and purchases are out of my reach on ones already out on the market. Basically I have the concept down pat but I'm not sure about the diamiter of the holes and if I need pressure?

So I have a Panasonic Projector that has a 12v 200mA "max" trigger on it that I would like to hook up some LED's to it. The LED people state that each module uses .72 watts (less than a watt) per module and I would like to hook up no more than 10 modules. Or does anyone else have a way to do this? I was also looking into a 12v sensor trigger. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Pete

Scope screen for sale! I had an old osiliscope and I had taken out the screen. the last time before I had taken it apart the screen worked. I have started working on another project and now I have run out of funds for it, so now I am figureing this screen I wanted to play with, might just get me enough funds to finish my project. I need at least $30 for the screen, thats with shipping! I feel a little sad to have to part with it.... but I really want to finish my new project.

Hello, i have a question and this is definitely the place to ask! So I wanted a thing that vibrates so i opened up an old cell phone that i meant to throw away, but when i opened it i thought i could find a use for its screen as well so the question is what can i do with a screen from an old nokia 6610

Well, i took apart my mp3 to put it in a "lego case", but it won't fit in. So, the only thing i can do is to remove the screen (it's totally broken so I don't plan to cut a hole in the case for it). My question is, if I remove it, would the mp3 still work? thanks.

What would be the best way to make a wireless display? A display that can be carried around (within like 30ft which seems to be fairly standard for wireless). It would need some batteries to power it I imagine, but I have no idea how you would go about sending and receiving the video signal. If anyone has any ideas, that would be great! Not a laptop, just a display, no other functions.

Hi, I want to make a scanner, or maybe a "modeler". Background info keywords: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvtfD_rJ2hE <- NOTE THIS PROJECT IS WAY WAY MORE ADVANCED, I WANT A HIGHLY SIMPLIFIED VERSION OF THIS. https://www.physicsforums.com/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi.dailymail.co.uk%2Fi%2Fpix%2F2014%2F01%2F15%2Farticle-2539962-1AAFD4DD00000578-400_306x317.jpg&hash;=18c044d58272f31902c0c6194ba64eba <- PICTURE OR JUST GOOGLE IMAGES: PIN SCREEN Pin-screen. I want to make something that detects where each position is on a Z-axis (their x and y coordinates are fixed). So just a third number per-pin would allow me to map out the entire layout of the pins. I am not too sure if this has been done before or not. If anyone knows of a product that does this I would really appreciate more info. Anyways, THE ARDUINO PROJECT: - Something that takes feedback from each pin and maps it out in the computer. THE QUESTIONS: - How to read the feedback? (what sensor can I use, note that there will be hundreds of these sensors, so they have to be preferably small. Are there some very small linear position detectors? is an optical detector better? (I WOULD PREFER IT TO BE STURDY, i wanna play with it). Im thinking it should be something similar to how TVs work, with a pixel-matrix but instead this would be a matrix of position feedback, and I think it would be simpler than a TV since each channel only gives out 1 feedback (Z-position) instead of an RGB code (3 codes per pixel). Anyone have some ideas on how to develop this project. Thank you!

When it comes to school projects, I always use my electrical knowledge to engineer some sort of out-of-the-box project. Being a freshman in highschool, most people are sort of amazed by my works. It's all basic stuff, really. I've been doing a lot of work with :EDs inside of these homemade posterboard boxes I've been making. After making one for each class, they're getting really old and they aren't too great looking. So I'd like to really give people a show. About two months ago, I got a 12 inch LCD screen from an old Compaq laptop. For reference, the screen (on the back casing) reads, "LCD MODULE AL LM-JK53-22NTR 10D40092527904". I cannot find many references to a pin-layout or a datasheet, but that's not too much of a problem. If it comes down to it, I will test each pin until I can get some progress. I am interested in using the screen to display data. I don't mind if colors aren't present other then black and white. Black and white works for my purposes. Is it possible to use this with an Arduino? With my initial research, I found that using a VGA card with a VESA Feature Connector will enable me to get the job done. I then run into two problems: 1) I cannot find one of these connectors, and 2) I am unsure if I could even make this work with an Arduino Uno. Any help is appreciated. If the project isn't possible, it's not the end of the world for me. By senior year, I probably will have built a full computer anyway :P ~Joe B.

I think my daughter dropped her DL LIte and now when you turn it on, both screens turn red. The volume still works and it does turn on and stay on. I do hear something loose inside, but I do not have the right tool to look inside to see what it might be. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this and can help me out here?

My old ibook screen is messed up, I want to either fix it, or replace it (with some other flat laptop screen from another broken computer maybe) but I want to take it apart from the base and hang it the screen on the wall, and keep the base on the my desk. I see this as a max headroom style home computer. I don't need it as a portable computer anymore, so I can use another screen but I want it to look like some post industrial piece of hack work. Any help?

Hi I had the greates luck finding an old laptop screen in a dumpster at school (they're currently changing computers, dumping the old ones). When I got home I also found a Video to VGA converter, which made me think - can I somehow connect these two into a working screen for let's say an old nintendo? Either that or I go back to find a compatible motherboard and videocard and rewire it somehow - but it most rather not. So, any ideas for how to make it work as a screen? :) Fact: - IBM 12,1" TFT screen branded M360 - Konig Video to VGA converter Sorry for the bad images, Ipads camera kina sucks :)

Does anyone know a easy way to do reflective silk screening for garments? Would need to stand up to washes and moderate use. Also would need suggestions on what type of reflective to use, and where to purchase. Needs to be very bright, as clothing would be used in night/low light/ hazardous conditions. Thanks!

My brother loves drawing and he has a friend who has something called a bamboo pad. It doesn't have a screen which is why I found it questionable. So we thought we might look for a touch screen he could use. We had very little luck finding one that seemed like it fit the purpose. Even those bamboo peoples' didn't look like they would do anything other than lines. So we have a question. Is it actually fairly easy to use a bamboo pad, and if not, what touch-screen could he use.

Hi, It's just coming on to nice warm weather here in Australia and the flies are pretty bad. We have an odd situation with our front door in that there's this wooden beam supporting part of the roof that comes across low. This makes it impossible to have a screen door that opens outward (the main door opens inward). My son suggested that we get some sort of retractable screen, but they are so $$. Does anyone know of instructions for how to make your own? Perhaps something that retracts on a vertical roller on one side and when open, it seals tight on the other side with a magnet strip. Thanks, ebb_AU

Hi. Me and my friend have just started try to do some screen printing for tee shirts. We have made a few mistakes and it still isn't working properly. We bought a speedball kit and when we coated our first screen with emulation we then realised that we didn't mix the emulation with the sensitizer. So we washed off and then recoated with the now mixed emulation. We have also been using a 200w bulb and exposed our screen for 25 mins. We use transparent projector sheets. We also didn't have any black card so used a black bin bag under our screen when exposing. When we wash off the emulation with a hand held spray gun, too much emulation is coming away and leaving patches of space. Is this because we are not exposing it for long enough, or that the emulation is no good or a combination of all? Also, How long does it take for the emulation to dry and does this have a limited amount of time before exposure? Please help :-)
