sharing draft Instructable?

Hey - I "shared" a draft Instructable for others to review and comment.  But how would they reply to me with any revisions/approvals?  I tested by sending email to self but that did not appear to work well.  Suggestions welcomed.

Pinterest Share Option

Would it be possible to add a Pinterest share button?  I'm creating a board that aggregates a lot of the costume walkthroughs that I've favorite here in Instructables, and it would be great to easily get it to Pinterest.  Right now I'm having to copy and paste the link and do everything manually.  It would increase traffic to the Instructables site and really help Instructables users.  Thanks!

Share Your Animations

I've been using Corel R.A.V.E for simple animations. I am an amateur at it, but I got simple creations out of it. But I wonder if there are other types of animation creators out there. I would like to see from the Instructables community some animations they made too. Post them here for everyone to see!

Photo sharing (site suggestion)

I did a quick forum search, but didn't find anything that really fit my idea, but I've seen a lot of really cool things on instructables, followed some step by step or took the idea and customized a few steps or two, but wouldn't it be nice to have a section to share your own photos of the projects you've started by way of inspiration of an instructable (like Think Geek's "customer action shots")? Show what people have done with an instructable, how they modified/improved upon/or spectacularly failed (but got a great photo!) following an instructable. So call this a site suggestion: a column on each instructable possibly parallel to the comments where people can post their results. Especially with the many great creative minds here.

Sharing Pro Membership With Spouse

Is it possible to share my pro account with my spouse, where she has her own saved instructables and log in?   For example, at our greeting card website, American Greetings, I can add my spouse and my son (up to 5 household members) to my account with their own login and calendar reminders.  With Netflix, we can add each member of the family and we each have our own cue for things we want to watch.    If we cannot do this at this time, I would like to recommend this as a future feature to add.  My wife and I both enjoy Instructables, but it's silly to pay for 2 accounts when we are sitting together anyway.  The ideal situation would be what American Greetings offers, the ability to add my household members under a master account that allows them their own individual login and storage folder.  If you create this where any purchases are tied to the master account, it will help reduce fraud as people won't want others using their credit card.    I've never asked a question here.  I sure hope I get a notice when this is answered and where to find the answer!  Thanks for your time and consideration.

Bill Gates shared an Instructable!

Congratulations to Instructables author gallactronics for catching the attention of Bill Gates!  He posted the Solar Scare Mosquito Instructable to his facebook page!  Mosquitos are a nuisance, and they also carry deadly diseases that kill over a million people every year.  The device works by creating ripples on the surface of still water to prevent mosquitos from laying eggs, and killing larvae that has already hatched.   Go check it out and leave a comment, or build one yourself!

Fun Halloween pics to share.

A few Halloween pics from this year..The image note making function isn't working, so I'll just explain here..1: A spooky spread on a bloodsoaked (99cent) tablecloth2: Haunted Gingerbread house. I hate it when people say these things are 'too pretty to eat'.. That's what we made it for!!3: Crunchy Cats! Tortillas cut out with cookie cutters, spread with sunflower oil and crisped in an oven.. Dip in a selection of goopy dips, and enjoy! (These felines are sooooo addicting!)4: Spooky Orange flavoured cupcakes!! Oops, I took the photo after I ate one. whoops.5: Witch's Broom PB Cookies with pretzel broomsticks. The salt and sweet flavours together are divine.6: The ice Queen and the Monkey. We should have taken photos for an indestructible on that hair and makeup. It was great!7: My wife's ice queen makeup close up8: "Phantom of the Paradise".. No helmet pics just yet.. They're at work.9: Phantom and Monkey10 & 11: Two Shots of a Mr. Tumnus costume I made for my friend Dave. It's been a fun Halloween. I have tons more fun photos!!

Finding authors who like to share and co-operate with their instructables

This is Kalimov. I am now working in an education company called Shanghai Genius Education Technology Co. Ltd. that mainly deals with schools in China. I am also a maker, too. For several years, I've read about instructables on instructables.com and many of them were quite amazing, both in techniques or ideas. I think why not introduce them to kids in schools of China? I've asked the staff commitee about my idea and now I'm sharing this idea to you. Below is my thinking. My company wants to introduce some overseas instructables to schools in Shanghai or other cities in China. We also want to publish books of tutorial compilation. We are willing to translate English to Chinese. We like to share the backstories of a making and autobiography of you. What we need is your permission that you like to share or write out how much benefit you want (PM).  Summary: In the book and the app we are going to publish, there are introduction of instructables.com, your profile and tutorials, your backstories. We share the benefit from education market. All sales reports are going to be visible to everyone. Besides, I also collect some of my crafting these years and I have made a post here. https://www.instructables.com/id/Some-Pictures-of-Crafting-I-Made-These-Years/. Thanks to Mike Asarus, Liquid Wash Hand and many members in instructables.com that they keep inspiring DIYers all the time!

Can usb ports share a ground?

Im converting an old printer (25 pin) switchbox into a switchbox that will be used for my monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse and two computers. The problem is that the monitor has 15 pins, the speaker has 3 pins, and the two usb ports have 4 pins each meaning that I would need 26 pins rather that 25. I could just solder the left and right speaker pins together and make those two 1 pin, but i would rather not have to do that. My question is can two usb ports share a ground pin, meaning that it would only need 7 pins rather than 8.

Share your websites for free samples

A while back I was doing an electronics project and needed some components. I found that you can get free samples of components from some companys if you ask nicely. There are some good instructables on that that I will link below. I am now trying to experiment with different metals and am trying to find some websites that will give out free samples. But please put all the good websites for samples here so that anyone can find them if they have a project they want to do. Have Any Good Stories to Share?

Got any interesting experiences you'd like to share? Scary? Happy? You get my point, right? Kind of like these:https://www.instructables.com/forum/Crazy-things-youve-done/https://www.instructables.com/forum/Driving-Stories/https://www.instructables.com/forum/Ever-saved-a-guys-life/Here's a scary experience I've had:. Some friends and I were bored so we took a walk to the fire station. We brought along some markers and cardboard and decided to kill time with some harmless Hijinks. We held up signs that said "Free Lemonade" with an arrow pointing in a random direction. People honked their car's horn or waved, it was all good and fun (We were in fifth grade BTW). About fifteen minutes in I hear screeching and my friend yells "RUN!". Not knowing what was happening, I look behind me and see a huge cloud of white smoke. We ditched the signs and booked it out of there. For a few seconds I didn't know what we were running from, but I could tell by the look on my friend's face it was bad. When I asked him later, he said that the guy driving the car looked pissed. He said the smoke was from the car pulling a hard U turn and accelerating towards us. We knew the car was chasing us so we ran into the bushes by the driveway of a cop's house. We heard a car coming up the driveway a few feet from us, and got really freaked out. We saw that it (thankfully) was the cop's patroll car. We ran up to him and told him about the car. He said he saw the smoke and called it in on the radio.

Online Pirates Sunk - crew still paddling

The four men behind the (in)famous file-sharing website Pirate Bay have been jailed for a year, and ordered to pay $4,500,000 damages to a selection of big media publishing companies. One of the four, Peter Sunde, refused to pay what he called a "bizarre" fine; ""We can't pay and we wouldn't pay. Even if I had the money I would rather burn everything I owned, and I wouldn't even give them the ashes."Despite the ruling, The Pirate Bay website is still up and running - it seems that, whilst the activities of the website have been declared illegal, the website itself is not, presumably because none of the shared files are hosted by TPB themselves.Speaking to the BBC, the chairman of industry body the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) John Kennedy said the verdict sent out a clear message."These guys weren't making a principled stand, they were out to line their own pockets. There was nothing meritorious about their behaviour, it was reprehensible."The Pirate Bay did immense harm and the damages awarded doesn't even get close to compensation, but we never claimed it did."There has been a perception that piracy is OK and that the music industry should just have to accept it. This verdict will change that," he said.BBC StoryBBC Business analysis of TPB's operationsIFPI press releasePirate Bay's press conference

iSticky loves Arduino

Hi, We were working on some nice Arduino projects and were struck by the fact that we couldn't find a nice possibility to let our projects send short messages to our Macs or iPhones. Since we had an iSticky Server for these kind of messages, we built an extension for notes up to 150 characters. Because we are very happy with this possibility, we thought the world might be as well... So today we are going beta with this service. Please try it out, give us comments or tips for improvement and let those messages be pushed to your devices! Room Dividers and Other Space Sharing Devices

There are few instructables about residential space dividers.  These might permit folks to live more comfortably and economically. They could be temporary as well as permanent . Could they rolll up to the ceiling ? Could they be flat against a permanent  wall until needed ? How important is acustic l privacy ?  Beauty ?  Fire resistance and safety ? If there are people who have thought about these issues or who have solved a space sharing problem, with some device or other, please post them.
