Search for sizes in Topics
I'm trying to do an Instructable with Excel, but whenever I upload screenshots into Flickr or just directly to the instructable, the full preview makes them all fuzzy and small. How do I enlarge the picture so people can actually see them? I've tried Photoshop to enlarge them, but it didn't help, and I am not a Pro Member, is that why? Thanks!

Would someone take a look at my instructable and tell me why the pictures are different sizes in my instructable steps? I would greatly appreciate any help resolving this bug. Thanks in advance. https://www.instructables.com/id/STYLISH-INNER-TUBE-PURSE/

Sorry for a new thread, but I was not able (allowed?) to add comments to any of the existing threads. I pushed the buttons but nothing happened. Anyway, here's the deal. I've seen several comments that the original plan to only show "secondary images" to pro accounts has been reversed, and that now all accounts will be able to view all images. I guess that depends on your definition of "view". Currently I can only view thumbnails of ANY images -- I have no idea what you mean by "secondary" images. Even instructables I looked at two days ago now have no large (useful) images. What gives? It's bad enough that I no longer can save the PDFs, but this make the whole site worthless. I'm ready to drop my membership and stop being a fan on facebook, because as of yesterday your posts and emails are spam to me.

While I was watching TV, I heard that China has made a life sized gundam. I have watched this show a few times, and I think they made 'White One' or Amour's gundam, I think that his name is right. They might have made a Zaku too, or maybe just its head. If you have pictures or any opinion, post away.

I read that regardless of the size of a speaker connected to an MP3 or something, the sound output should remain the same. I assume this was incorrect because using large computer speakers seems to disprove this. Is this because the speakers have more surface area and generate more sound? So will using large speakers at max volume drain more energy than small earbuds at max on the same music player?

Just got a new bike and size seemed fine until I got it home and tried it out for real. I cannot stop and get off the bike without huring myself on the crossbar. I am a 51 year old woman who hasn't been on a bike for several years. I don't remember women's bikes having such high cross bars when I had a bike before. Now all ladies bikes seem to have high cross bars. Has anyone any suggestions on what I should do to resolve my problem?

I'm having trouble with the sizing of the .stl file model. In blender it says that I have everything correct and I've made sure that the scaling was applied but every time I upload it it says that its wicked tiny. I was hoping someone could give me suggestions on how to fix this problem or at least think of something that I haven't thought of yet..

Hey all! I have this problem, where all the thongs I get with outfits are too big for me. But, seeing as I love matching outfits, I really hate to throw them away. Yet I just can't figure out how to make them smaller. It's killing me. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I am have to determine the I-V curves for a few solar cell samples. The sun simulator that I am going to use is PASAN 3b SunSim. My Questions are: What is the optimum solar cell sample size that I need to select? What parameters will be effects if the sample size is not optimized? The specifications of the external lamp are attached to this question.

Hello I have been given a task to suggest solar cell sizes, that are needed to be laminated with a newly invented structured glass, in order to test its useful effects on the solar cells. The questions in my mind are: What type of solar cells shell I select? What sizes shell I suggest? Any other notable things that I might consider while suggesting the cells...

What things I should consider while doing a risk assessment of a project that involves a solar simulator? Answered
Hello I am involved in a project related to PV panels laminated with structured glass. I have to do a risk assessment i.e the things that can delay my project. The things that are involved in it are 5 Solar panel samples (will be laminated outside the country) Sun Simulator (often busy) Need to measure some I-V curves I have got identified some risks but I need to get in depth. Any help in this regard will be really helpful Thanks

What is the best magnet (neodymium - disk shape) size to copper coil size ratio for optimal electron production per one break/pass of flux lines across coil at a 1/2" distance? For instance, if magnet is 2" diameter what is best inner diameter for copper coil? Best number of windings? Best gauge wire? what are the best specs for optimal electron production before you reach "over kill". I know some things are variable like core material and magnet grade. I'm looking for an all things being equal kind of scenario. Also what would be the best thickness of magnet at 2" diameter? If anyone could point me in the direction of any existing tables or ratio information on this subject it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi friends....I love this site and do like to win, even if it's just a bunch of positive comments! Recently I won a t-shirt and I didn't realize how small/close the sizes run. (I believe I requested a women's large and in the comments I noted that I wanted the equivalent that would fit a women's chest 36-38". I was disappointed that the Tshirt ran exactly 37" with no room to breath. Unfortunately I didn't realize I was supposed to add a few inches for movement as none was built into the size.) My shirt has not been worn and it still has the manufacturer's paper tag attached. Is it possible to return it to Instructables for a larger size? If so, then I'd like to request something that measures 42" from armpit to armpit - which would be great after shrinking! (I realize the larger size may be considered too large for the female sizes available, and if so, the equivalent man's size would be appreciated over one that doesn't fit) If this isn't an option, perhaps future winners can be asked what size they want their shirt to run "from armpit to armpit". Not only will this make more T-shirt winners be happy, but also, more Instructables advertising will be seen on the streets ;-D mega thanks!

I have built several adult soapbox derby/ Gravity cars. I'm working on a new build that may require a smaller front tire, such as a 16inch tire. My plan is to run 2 26inch rear wheels and 1 16 inch front wheel, with a total car weight of 225lbs. Since there is no gearing, just gravity, and just considering size, will smaller front wheel effect my speed? Thank you

Hi, just wondering what is the correct picture size for Instructables ? I'm uploading 700 x 519 pix pictures. Also, since all my pictures on Instructables look wrinkled, I was wondering if it's possible to choose to show pictures in static means ( simply list all pictures in line, so visitors can scroll down instead of click for the next picture ). Static pictures may provide much better image quality. -- My poor suggestion.

I've been having trouble with image comments not showing up the right size in my instructable, How to Build a Spark Gap Tesla Coil (link). In step 2, this is especially visible as some of the image comment boxes appear to be larger than the images they are posted on! The comments are supposed to be the size of the image, not smaller or larger. I've tried resizing them to the correct dimensions, but it doesn't work. Is it just my browser, or is something else going on? What can I do to fix this? Thanks! Xellers

So I bought one of these to play with: http://www.ebay.com/itm/130935883579 The transmitter board always gets really hot and smells faintly of something burning. Is this normal? Should I use some type of heat sink? Anyway, I discovered that you can add another coil of the same-ish size to the transmitter, and both coils will work. However, if I remove the coil and add a single coil twice the size, it does not work. I'm curious as to why. What determines how large the coil can be?

Hey, I would like to know how to fix this font size problem I'm having. I don't know if HTML just doesn't allow it so that may be the case. So I have a div with an id of "NavBar" and a div with an id of "AccountList". The "AccountList" div is inside of the "NarBar" div. In the CSS, the "NavBar"'s div has a font size of 36px and a color of #e1e1e1. I want my "AccountList" div to have a font size of 19px and a different color. The problem I am having is that the "NavBar"'s CSS properties override the "AccountList" properties. How can I get around this? I will not take the "AccountList" div out of the "NavBar". If you want to see the actual thing I have and what I'm explaining, here is the code (Just save it as an HTML to run it): http://pastebin.com/ztX5Us7A Thanks,

I want to rotate a stainless steel shaft that is in a vertical position having a 40 mm diameter and 300 mm length. The motor will be attached to the bottom of the shaft, so when the motor is turned, the said shaft will rotate. The shaft is not driving anything, it just turns on its own. The shaft's mass is 3kg(according to my calculations). I want the shaft to rotate at an angular speed of 45 degrees per second. Having this information, how can i size the motor that will do the job. What kind of torque would i need, what kind of wattage. Please show me some calculations so I can know how motor sizing is correctly done. Very much appreciated, Chris
