I wanted to make an knex Spas 12 since it's a really epic gun. I saw some and most of them didn't have a real pump action system. So I thought I could make one on my own. I spent 3 days working but I had trouble with the trigger and pump system. Some people said I had to use a sear trigger but I didn't understand. Help?!

Hi All, I'm looking at modifying our existing Spa controls with a Touch screen system that combines the functionality of the radio remote for the Spa controller & the remote control panel for the Spa heater. I also want it to be able to run the Sonos software and possibly do lighting control down the track. I would like to leave the existing water proof remote operational if possible but that assumes I can get the new 434MHz module in the microcontroller talking to the existing Rx in the Spa Controller and dont have to replace it. Im interested in any comments particularly as which mini computer to use. Price is a concern of course by function is more important. I havent worked out how to power it yet as there is no easy solution without nearby power points or network ports for PoE. I may perhaps go solar but not sure yet. It may be easier to run a cable for somewhere. Any insights much appreciated...

I'm installing a new heater for a spa and am having trouble hooking up the plumbing. I am using 2" PVC and have built the whole manifold from the filter to the heater and to the return to the spa, but I can't figure out how to hook it up to the existing pipe that returns the hot water to the spa. It sticks up about 5" out of the cement pad where all the equipment is located, but it's not a standard size/shape. It's shaped like a car radiator's hose nipple with a bulge between two narrower bits so that you could put a hose over it and clamp it behind the bulge but i'm trying not to do it that way since the hoses that are used with PVC aren't meant for pressure or heat. That is how it was originally hooked up but when I took it apart the hose was all deteriorated on the inside. None of the exposed part is a standard size where I could just cut it and bond a coupling on. I was thinking about trying to use a radiator hose but don't know what the spa chemicals would do to it.?

I'm interested in having an LED go from Green to Yellow to Red over the span of 2 days. I know this will probably run the battery out so I was thinking of using an optoelectric sensor so it only lights when exposed to dark areas. Any thoughts?

I am building a solar hot water system for my hot tub. It will be independently plumbed to keep the original heater and pumps intact and operational. My question is, how can I get the solar system to turn on only when the hot tub is cooler than a certain tempurature and have it turn off if the water being returned from the solar system is colder than the hot tub's current temp? Any ideas would be appreciated!

I'm thinking about building a Japanese Soaking Tub when I remodel my bathroom this Spring. I have a general concept of how it should be built, and I'm thinking I'll probably go traditional and use cedar to build it. I'm looking to see if anyone has some good build plans for a soaking tub, specifically how to seal the tub so the water stays in the tub. I tried uploading a picture to give you some idea, but it doesn't want to work, here's the link of the style of tub, first picture. source: http://www.homedit.com/deep-soaking-japanese-bathtubs-turn-bathroom-spa/

So I want to know what guns to make, (not ones built before) but I'm low on ideas. I know that there have been topics like this before, but instead of this being for just me, if you have an idea I'll put it in a list here. Anyone can build any of them, (duh you could anyways) and if you make a gun on the list, I'll put a link to it. This way there is 1 topic, not 50. So what should people build? List: *scorpion evo III *Beam Rifle from Halo *MG-42 *M60E4 *M249SAW *870 Tactical *SP10 *Neostead 2000 *Agram 2000 *Spas 12 *AKS74U --------------------- Slideshow: https://www.instructables.com/id/AKS-74U/ *Famas *Sterling l2A3 *FN FAL *Mini 14

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask this so apologies to all in advance if it is not. I have had a pool for some time and I got quite sick of monitoring it. I searched for any "off the shelf" equipment to help me with this but there are none available. I just wanted to make pool monitoring easy, or at least easier than it is right now. I have made a prototype which continuously monitors pool & SPA water including Chlorine, alkalinity, temperature, and can deliver that to my website in a graphical format. It gives me a history of the pool environment and helps me keep the pool in top condition so when the kids or friends and relatives drop by I know instantly what the pool condition is and if it is safe for everyone to go in. It has wireless capability and I have manage to get the battery life to around 20 days without a recharge and the new solar version (still being built) will go almost indefinably. Just wondering if anyone else thinks this is a good idea.

RANDOFO has exhaustion, NACHO has drowned, and GMJHOWE has dysentery (and measles. And cholera. Idk why it has a hate on for him, but it sure does...)>_<When I first saw that Nacho and Kiteman had died, I started to freak, then remembered it was just a cruddy little simulation.I gotta stop naming my trail buddies after people I know. It's too traumatic. You remember the ORIGINAL Oregon Trail, yes? Not the sissy versions with their fancy-pants "gui"s and "icons" - I mean the Real Gamer's OT. It's baaack! You can play it online and relive all those wonderful memories! Linky You probably already know about this one, but I'm sharing it anyway! :DWhether you name your people after enemies and drive them to the brink (as cameron says - Tiny meals, Grueling pace, and NO REST. MAN UP.), or name them after friends and loved ones and pamper them, there's just something about playing Oregon Trail...Which way do you play? Bataan death march, or 4 month exclusive get-away mobile spa for pioneers? There are a couple things I don't get about the game, however. Like what's with the "peperony and cheese"? And how come all the names are in all caps? You clicked on 992 lbs of this forum topic, but can only carry 100 lbs back to the wagon.

Today while using an exacto knife to cut some excess material on a shelf, I used too much force and the knife slid off and poked my palm. About an inch below my thumb. Now the exacto knife I was using wasn't in particulary good shape, some rust, and white out on the tip. This was an old tool I was using for not so clean projects. Well I managed to poke myself and I was wondering if I have a Tetnus Infection. The symtoms are muscle spasms, stiffness, and lockjaw. I read symtoms never occur on the first day, but now it's been 2 hours since I was cut and my right lower bach is starting to ache, maybe I'm just paranoid and it's because of my poor posture when I sit and I'm focusing on it. I washed the wound with soap and water twice, put a band aid on it, took it off when I read it needed oxygen to kill the germs, now I'm typing this. The last time I hade my dTap was probly maybe 6-7 years, or 1-2 years I cannot remember. I can't go the doctors because of reason I can't explain right now. If it gets urgent I'll call a paramedics or something. Should I be worried? Should I get to the doctors to get a booster? Should I go cry in the corner while the effects of Tetnus slowly overwhelm me to the point where the muscle spasms reach my back and I start to spas out unitl I die?
