This is my pistol that features and new trigger system. It works well, uses only 2 pieces, and is easy to install on many knex guns. This is my first knex gun, so any positive comments would be appreciated Enjoy! ps: sorry some of the photos are dark.

True trigger, allows control of firing rate. Vids show full auto and burst fire. *note* my motor is nearly out of batteries in the video, so on full auto it's rate of fire was pretty slow.******* Pic 3 & 4 - New and improved yellow rod firing gatling gun. Uses grey rod barrel and grey rod firing rams. Also because it is so huge, to prevent sagging in the support beam, I made a new support system which doesn't bend at all ( you can see how thick and straight it is), so it spins faster and steadier than before. Each bullet gets about 35+ feet. All thx to having more pieces.

If we Really Want to Create a Semi-Automatic True Trigger Knex Gun, We Need To Share Our Ideas. I Propose That We Create A Collaboration Or Forum In Which We Can Discuss The Creation Of Semi-Automatic Guns. Let Me Give You An Example: If Someone Creates A good Firing Mech, But is Having Trouble With the Handle, He Could Ask, and Recieve Help From A fellow Member. P.S (Srry For The Bad Grammar and Punctuation.) P.P.S (I Would Post Pics But The Instructables Uploading System is Unfriendly to me.)

Soooo go find one of the best and there MUST be a link to it ps- If you can't make up your mind you can choose up to 3 Thanks megametal8

What is wrong with the block trigger mechanism because I have yet to see a powerful gun without the mechanism. and the sear system has it's flaws. So what I think you hate is the mechanism and what do you think about the mechanism with the true trigger attached?

Here is my true bolt action pistol. It is pretty small for a true bolt action but pretty big for a pistol. It is also pretty ugly but it has to be like that with the mag because it uses gravity to operate. The trigger is TheDunkis' trigger from the TDS2. This is something I made when I was trying to make a K'nex rod spin in flight. I know there are true rifles like the Tempest, which uses a oodammo, and I know someone else twisted a rod to make it spin. This thing should be able to shoot normal K'nex rods with no modifications. I just built this, but I didn't make it into an entire gun. The red rod in the pictures is the ammo. This uses a K'nex wind up motor to spin the ammo. When you stick the ammo into the motor, it is like a bullet lock. The thing in the third picture is like a ratchet. It keeps the rod from spinning. It would have to be connected to the trigger, so it lets the bullet spin just when the ram hits it. Someone else could make a gun with this idea, but please give me credit for the idea.

We have a business convention coming up soon. Inside of our display case we have this grid of LED panels. The goal of the display is you try and hit a button outside of the case when a certain LED panel is lit To demonstrate human vs. computing reflexes. I'd like to have some kind of external build to demonstrate with as the "vs.". I am thinking I can use a laser and point it at the LED block because lasers are capable of transferring data. I would think it wouldn't be too difficult to make a build that distinguishes between on & off. It's basic binary, on & off 1 & 0, true & false, same & changed. When the surface lights that the laser is pointed on, I think the easiest way to push the button would be to discharge a capacitor into a hobby motor, and some kind of tab or something on the motor. I can go into more detail on the build, but I need more info on making a laser operated trigger system thingy.

Alright so I'm having a "civilized discussion" with Mykhailo/whoever you call him now and he's arguing, just like plenty of others, that RBGs are not true semi auto because of the reasons soon to be listed. Comparing RBGs to real firearms (which I understand are not exactly alike in plenty of ways) I find that they're more like a true semi automatic than what you guys would call true semi autos. Just listen to my argument and see if you can at least understand what I'm saying. The majority of your arguments for why an RBG is not a true semi auto is that you have to prepare a band for every shot. Some of you compare this to cocking a weapon more than once for every shot. I find this a bad comparison. In real fire arms, the firing mechanism isn't what launches the bullet. It triggers the powder which then in turn shoots the bullet. An RBG is similar to this. Each rubber band acts as the "powder" for the bullets. The RBG firing mechanism simply sets them off. You also have to prepare real cartridges too. Does it matter if it's you or not who makes them? You still have to mix up and add the powder all the same as you must add RBs to your weapon. This brought up the argument that it's still not a true semi auto because the bullet isn't self-contained in an RBG. OK I have two things to say to this. First, now bullets decide the firing mode of a weapon? Secondly, what about ooda's RBG ammo. That's self contained, isn't it? The bullet is attached directly to the RBG. What do you guys think?

This is the current version of my semi automatic K'nex gun. I probably won't change much unless I run into a big problem. The only real problem now is that the magazine isn't perfect, but that's pretty hard anyway. It works like the prototype I posted a topic about a few days ago ( I deleted that, didn't want 2 topics on the same gun ) So that means by clipping the trigger onto the firing pin. When you pull the trigger it pulls the pin back and then lets go near the end of it's travel distance. Then the trigger shoots back into place again ( if you let it shoot, you can't keep your finger on the trigger at all times ). The only thing about this that I copied 100% is Perfect Duck's handle. I'm really lazy with handles, so credit for that goes to him. I also used decapitated grey connectors in the barrel like on his guns. It shoots blue rods.I can put at least 2 thick rubberbands on it ( I only have 2 left, don't know exactly how much power it can take ), so it can support quite some power. It won't shoot very far because of the friction though. But I think it's respectable considering it's a semi-auto. P.S. I know the picture is bad, I always tend to build these things in the evening so the lighting is pretty bad when I take a pic.

Question by Knave125 | last reply
Well, Hello. This is my new assault rifle. I made this in about 3 hours. It turned out much much better than I expected. It shoots about 40ft but it has a very good strong trigger so maybe 50ft. The trigger block in the barrel works like the way Pooplord's Lever action pistol does. It requires no cut pieces although, my one has some on it. The mag is removable but its a little bit hard to do so. I might post it, might not. Sorry for the bad(ish) picture but I was using my phone. Adiós Amigos.

This is a knex revolver using bricksmith (yes it is block trigger, cause im to lazy to make a true trigger for it so dont give me any crap cause its just a first draft), look at the last pic, i has the auto revolve that also lines up the barrels (credit on this piece goes to sammyb cause it is very similiar to his auto revolver) (more pics, updated with a true trigger and hand guard(mainly for support))

Hey, peoples! I made a simple pistol yesterday, and thought I would show it to the K'NEX community of instructables. :) It's my first working gun, based on the Derringer Rider White S342. It doesn't have a mag, but does has a true trigger. :D Enjoy! - x-treme

HERE IT IS. The Brickster LDS is a hybrid crossbow. It doesn't have a bow. It has a range of 250 to 300 feet with 16 to 32 rubber bands. It is extremely strong and could hold about 80lbs of force. The arrows are smaller than an average crossbow arrow so they fly slightly faster. It has no track so it is a slingshot type crossbow. Will be posted in a month or 2. Amazingly powerful. Has over 800 pieces and a Ballista attachment that rolls and keeps it at a 30 degree agle with the ground. Low piece and a great gun, If only I could show you. . . . . . . . . . . WAIT, I CAN!!!!!!!!!!
