Hai. It's the old tosser from Holland again! I am feeling nostalgic, so I might perhaps build a K'nex gun quite soon. I'm not making any promises so don't expect me to push out like 3 guns a month anytime soon. College is very demanding, but K'nex is just too awesome to let go of. And since I FINALLY got a new camera, it's a very fortunate timing of events. Hopefully see you all soon, with a new Instructable! -Viccie.B1993-

I'm Trying to make aluminum pipe flute with calculator. http://11wall-west.com/~ph_kosel/flutomat.html http://www.whistlemaker.com/pages/flutewhistle-calculator.php Both giving me NaN. Thisis great http://www.ehow.com/how_7325964_hole-placements-flutes.html I think this method is only for major scale. Mouth hole placement gives key of flute. I think I can make same measuring from other mouth hole placements. I don't know how to measure mouth hole placement for desired keys. I'm not sure how important is pipe length. I know that longer pipe length makes flute sound lower.

Obviously I am new here if I posted in the wrong place please tell me where to post. Is this a Farm implement, tool, heater. It is about 25" tall, with a 10" diameter. There is a closed bottom why it is raised off the ground i don't know. Rust area is from prior heat damage to the galvanized metal. It is too early to be a charcoal brick starter. I know it is not a chicken feeder. All answers will be appreciated.

Why is the home page always changing format? It looks more ridiculous every time! I remember when I first joined how their was two collums of different instructables. This format was easy to sort though and you didn't have to look through all the stuff you DIDNT want to see and you could click on the vast variety of things you DID want to see. Today when I logged on there is only one column of things and I cant even sort out what is recent and what is featured. Please change the format back instructables robot. It is a lot simpler and looks more professional. EB

Hello, I have a very cheap Crescent Guitar with a bent neck. I had the idea of trying to turn it into a Ipod music player. The soundhole is roughly 3 1/2 inches. I don't know if the pod will be powerful enough for the speaker. Do i have to buy a small amp?

I'm putting the pipe system together for my solar thing, which needs to contain hot ethanol, not under significant pressure. What kind of sealant / adhesive can I use that won't dissolve in the ethanol? I'm gluing together mostly plastics like PVC, but also steel and aluminium.

Ok im trying to build a Alternator/Generator welder. i want it to be able to do Stick, Mig, and Tig. So other words three different circuts on one board. so i can switch between the three. 1. how should i control current: in between the battery and field post or after from the positive post from the alternator? 2. how to control the voltage: same as number 1 between the batt and field or from the batt post on the alternator? Also i understand the consant current constant voltage thing. that will be provided on the three circuts. Right now im just working on the stick welder circut ill ask about the mig and tig circuts later or you can pm if you have any info on them. im just trying to piece this togeather step by step. Any help will be great. and yes i know this is a very big project, and will require alot oof time to do.

Hello, I am a disabled and housebound 55 year old man living on SSD checks. I am not ever going to build a project to post on "Instructables",. I just barely got out of High School, and that seems like a hundred years ago, but this website fascinates me. Before I got sick I could make anything out of wood or steel from junk I picked up I found at the dump. I certainly am not an Educated Individual, but I am not stupid either, my Wife says I would be dangerous if I knew how to use my fancy digital Multi-Meter. If I can get it straight in my head I can understand some things, but Electric Circuits and Componentes hit the wall in my brain. I have never had any Training or Instruction about that kind of thing. My question is why in the world would I be charged $40.00 (which I do not have to spend), for two years Membership in Instructables, when I am just an old sick man that will probably never even build another camp fire or anything else for the rest of my life? I was just trying to learn some of this stuff to keep my mind Challenged and Hungry to Learn. I spend Hours on this computer another man bought for me, so I would not loose my mind sitting here looking at the walls, or watching TV. I just had to ask this question, to satisfy my Uneducated mind. Can someone Please, Enlighten me to what the deal is, or is this some Private Covert Club that people like me can't be a member of because I don't know the private words to use or the handshake?

I noticed that The Jamalam had posted something similar, so I thought I would create some competition! Instructions are included in the powerpoint itself ===What is it?=== Mega Maze! It's a maze that I made in MS PowerPoint 2000, so virtually any computer running any version of PowerPoint can run it! Features sound effects, 40 stages, 7 well designed levels and a bright and funky colourscheme! ===Download!=== Size: 42mb (approx) To run this you will need PowerPoint 2000 or above (I think older versions WILL work, but I'm not 100% sure) with Microsoft 95 or higher as your Operating System. So far I know this works with: Vista, XP and 95. To download the file click the link below: DOWNLOAD There are no viruses/spyware/sh!t that messes up your computer in the file. It will automatically start the game when you click "open" And remember to check out all of my other cool Instructables and Forums too! -Lowney Little preview + some of level 1:

Hey, I'm going to build a piece of FANTASY chest armor. I'm not going for realism or authenticity. Just making "a pile of spikes" that looks cool in my opinion. I'm thinking of making something to the equivalent of a low neck line tank top out of leather / tight weave canvas, and then covering it in steel plates. I'm thinking of dividing the front suit into groups and bands of plate. So I'm going to have a set of bands from the right and left chest, then another section that joins them down the center. A section for the abdomen, a section for each side, and then similar sections for the back. I'm then going to bolt the shoulders onto their respective chest plates. So I've done a crappy sketch on GIMP, Kinda explaining what I'm going to do for the center line of the chest. I think If I do this right It'll allow a lot of flexibility, might even be able to see my chest expand and contract while breathing which I think would be a cool effect. Is there any reason why this wont work? But are there any key factors that I need to take into account when doing this? Parts that need to be more flexible than others?

I've looked everywhere I can think of, online and off. I'm trying to find a battery holder (2 AA or 1 C) with an incorporated timer switch. I'm trying to make a flameless candle with a timer. This is what I'm looking for...someone obviously makes them or something similar. This one has a four hour switch. TIA
