Hi, I have copied the correct code from YouTube (embed video) to Instructable post, give it a title, a little text underneath and attached a thumbnail image. My problem is it won't publish at all. I click publish button, but it does nothing. I should mention this is the share a video option on the site. (Don't have a link as it's stuck in draft.) Any help or advice appreciated, Go Repairs

Hi Is it possible to add, Photobucket to the webpages you accept embedding from? I am having issues with a lot of the webpages you accept, but photobucket has been working great for me. I can make it work in the preview mode of building a video instructable, but when I try to publish it, it will not except the video embedding code. DFD

There are lots of Instructables about making paper planes. This is a Good Thing. Like any other group of Instructables, they vary in quality from the appalling to the brilliant, but they almost all share the same Bad Thing. For projects where the behaviour of the finished item is all-important, they do not have a video to demonstrate the different throwing styles required and the expected flight characteristics. Please, paper engineers, can we have video of the flights?

I'm trying to embed a second video into my video instructable. I'm guessing that because it's a video instructable it is limited to the one main video and no other videos can be embedded? https://www.instructables.com/id/Optimus-Prime-Transformers-Costume/ You can see I've been trying, but I guess that's my question: is there any way to embed another video?

I dont know exactly what to call this. but i want some kinda device that i could make that plays movies off a hard drive, i no that they kinda mmake these already but there really expensive and i figure i could build something cheaper. ive got about 20 extra computers varing from MACs to PCs and ranging in all diffrent years, so i though of like building like a "DVR" without a tuner card or something. and the basic reason for this is so that i can bring large amounts of movies and vids to friends houses without hauling around tons of CDs or my PS3. i also like the way the XBox Mini looks

I've got a Magnavox Video Escort and a JVC Compact VHS. Both cameras are dumpster finds. Neither work and I'm wondering if anyone can suggest tests/repairs or whatnot to get them to work. I realize these cameras were tossed because they don't work but sometimes things get thrown away because the owners don't want to take the time to find out WHY they don't work. The Escort is utterly inert. I haven't got a way to recharge the battery, assuming that it would if I did and an adaptor I know works has no effect on this camera. The JVC works but the view finder remains black.

I'm probably the last person you should go to for game advice, but I'll try. If I don't have the answers you seek, I'll tell you a place where you can find those answers. If you need cheats, I'll see if I can find them. I check to answer your questions every Saturday. If you think you're an expert on a certain game and your willing to give advice leave a comment saying so on my orangeboard.

Hey, I have an old Sony DCR-PC5 video camera, and I want to start using it again, but i'm not sure how, if i can, to get stuff onto the computer. It can take both a memory card, or a small cassette. I'm not sure how to set it to record onto the memory card, but the only one I have is just 32mb. There is a cord that will plug into the "Digital I/O" port, and then into the Serial Communications Port on the computer. Any ideas on how to get stuff onto the computer?

Hi, i have 3 portable(car) monitors that take composite video signal in, the deal is i want to link them all together to the same source.. Can i simply daisy chain them(parallel) or do i need some kind of amplifier to do the trick? If so, please provide a tutorial/instructable on how to make one.. The source can be s-video, vga, or any standard computer video analog output.. i'm not saying dvi or hdmi interface due to the fact D/A conversions being not that simple(for me)..(but please provide the schematics anyway) I'm sorry for my terrible english x) Best regards, Fábio Santos.

I want to know how these camera pedestals work, see example here: http://www.vinten.com/product/quartz-one-pedestal Has anyone tried to build something similar? What I would like to achieve, is simply a tripod system where the camera can stay level at the height I choose, and it should be easy to change the height without loking the center column. Is this a very hard thing to do?

My friend Marc Scheff is an accomplished digital painter, and recently came up with a new idea: when painting someone's portrait, why not give them both the finished product and the work as it was created? Thus were born Video Portraits. He's done a bunch, which you can find on his blog.I've included two, here. One of a woman named Polly Rose and another of Barack Obama (our next president-to-be!) Hi troubleshooting team, Here's my info: Windows 8 Firefox 51.0.1 (32-bit) https://www.instructables.com/id/Inexpensive-Rubberband-Powered-Helicopter/ This Instructable, and others I've made, was created many UI revisions ago (back when a "Video Instructable" was a creation option). When I try to load it, a blank space appears where the video should go. There's no way to access the video from the Instructable editor, not even in the HTML. Also, the title image doesn't appear. This appears to only be an issue for Firefox on Windows. I've tried Chrome, Firefox, and Safari on OSX (those work) and MS Edge on Windows (also works). Haven't tried Chrome on Windows. I'd like to know how to be able to remove the video so I can just add YouTube's html code. This is occurring with several of my Instructables. I was alerted to this issue by another user who noticed that a video seemed to be missing, so I feel confident that it's not caused by an issue with my PC. Thanks for looking into this!

Hello, I wonder if someone can help. I need to transfer video wirelessly using basic 433 MHz RF. https://www.instructables.com/id/RF-315433-MHz-Transmitter-receiver-Module-and-Ardu/ My problem is the data is more than 5 Mbps and I don't want to use WiFi because of high power consumption and health safety. let me explain it more: 1. The input data is the digital video (5 Mbps) >> compressed using video encoder >> transferred wirelessly. 2. Receive the data >> decompressed using video decoder >> display on tiny uLED screen 91X91 pixel. any one have an idea? Thanks Regards Nabeel

I have an idea for a video game which allows an opportunity for the players to make money. The problem is that I do not know how to go about it. It would be a space flight\fighter were the players will be able to purchase spacecraft with the ability to customize them to their desire. Then dogfight against other players for cash rewards which they can use for upgrades or new ships. A leveling structure will be needed to allow for players to go against similarly skilled players. First, I would like to know if you would be interested in a game like this, Second, I am looking for people who would able to program, design ships and maps, etc. to get this going. Experience with Unity 3d would be best.

Toshiba Tecra, in use about six months when the picture went. I've been told putting a new piece on a laptop motherboard is next to impossible, but I've fixed a lot of things that couldn't be fixed, so I'm skeptical. It's been in pieces in my den for 3 or 4 years. Is there a workaround for video output, like use the card from another machine?

Do you want to get involved in moving an internet sensation to the next level? Webcomic Questionable Content are looking for a video game developer to push forward the creative vision of the comic's author. J Jaques says; Today, I had an idea. An idea for a video game. A video game about WEBCOMICS. I passed this idea around to a number of my colleagues, and they were very interested! It then began to dawn on me that this was possibly something I could actually make happen. But obviously I don't know anything about actually making video games, so I would have to talk to a developer about it. And while I'm sure there is nothing video game developers hate more than a Normal Person Who Thinks They Have A Great Idea For A Game, I am pretty sure this idea has legs, both in terms of potential audience and potential funding. So if you make video games for a living, shoot me an email. I would love to discuss my ideas with a professional. If you don't know QC, you should. If you have a couple of days spare, start reading at number one, otherwise pick up here.

We just added two new sections to Instructables: Slideshows and Videos. Slideshows and Videos are more ways for you to share your projects, the cool things that you do, and to generally jump into the World's Biggest Show & Tell. Use a slideshow to show pictures of a finished project, a work in progress, your work space, or something that you don't quite have full enough documentation to make an Instructable. Slideshows are perfect for sharing your old projects, or those projects that you did so fast that you forgot to take pictures along the way. You can outline what you did, what tools and materials you used, and show off the final project. For example, here's a Slideshow about a climbing wall I built a few years ago. I didn't take enough pictures to make a full Instructable, but I still want to share my project because I think it's awesome. Also, if you want to embed an Instructables Slideshow on your webpage or blog, go for it! There's embed code right below the text. We've noticed that video is becoming a bigger part of Instructables, so we made a special section for videos. Share your full how-to videos, videos showing off your projects in action, or a video tour of your workshop. How-to videos that are logically broken into steps and have support images of each step still make perfect Instructables and we want to encourage more of these; we hope that Videos will support and help grow the site by making a specific section for how-to videos that don't quite need our step-by-step format. You can embed videos from any of the major video sites, so there's no need to re-upload! Anything that you share in a Slideshow or Video should be your own project or a project that you have intimate familiarity with, and your own content. We want to encourage a conversation between the Instructables community and the person who did the project. So for example, posting a Slideshow about an awesome native-hardware coffee table that your parents built is perfect. Save posting projects you found on the web for the forums, and be sure to include a link to the original content. I'm really excited about these new features. I know that everyone has something to share at Show & Tell, and Slideshows and Videos give more opportunities to do just that.
