I had a racing wheel for the original xbox, and was wondering if there was anything that I could do to use it with the 360. It was a wired wheel. It was an official Microsoft xbox wheel. I would appreciate the help!

SO im getting a new slim 360 soon and i want to mod my current one. Is there any way to J-tag it since it has the 12xxxx series dash (something like that). I really dont want to fork out all that cash for a mod chip for RGH. Is there any way I can use traditional methods of wiring components to J-tag my box? Thanks, Bud

Greetings, this is one of the first forums that i will post. I have become egrossed in forza 3 and am wondering if a way exists to change digital controlls to analog to get better realism from the game. I am probably nuking this but i would have fun with a hand brake(A button) and clutch(L BUMPER) that were moderatable like the gas and brake. If another topic like this exists please direct me to it so i will stop wasting webspace. so far i have not found anything. thanks for your ideas and input.

So I got an xbox 360 elite for Christmas. I set up my xbox live account and already have 75 gamerscore lol. My xbox 360 gamertag is "InvariantMedal". I'm not a serious player, but I am decent at games when I master their controls. I'll post pictures of my xbox setup in my den later on. Maybe tomorrow. What's your setup look like? *EDIT- 3/18/10* Don't expect to see me on live for a while. Some asshole broke into my house and stole my 360 and other game consoles. I did manage to get 2615 gamerscore before my 360 got stolen.

I got a red ringed Xbox 360. It is green in the center for about 30 seconds then it gives a 3 part rrod. I can not turn it off either. I have replaced the heat paste. Then I unpluged and repluged the fans. Another thing is that when I hold in resart and eject I make it blink a full circle even faster than before. I have to start it up with the eject button. don't know how to fix it, but i can solder. Can anyone help ?

Hey all, today I went out and bought an XBox 360 chatpad, to link up to my PC xbox 360 controller. I have all the latest drivers, yet still I have had no luck of getting the chatpad working :( I googled and found I'm not the only one. There is a program written in XNA that installs on PC and Xbox and works like that, but I don't have an Xbox :( Does anyone have a clue on how to get it working? Thanks in advance, SP534

I have a xbox 360 that used to work. My friend tried to fix a 3 RROD on it. He said he tried many times to start the xbox up it would show a green light for a second, then turn off. I now tried starting it without the fans or heat sink, and the power brick light turns red. Can anybody help?

I just want to hear what you guys think about about the new xbox, which was released yesterday, I have heard it has built- in Wi Fi, quieter running, looks good and has a massive 250 gb hard drive. PS3 owners don't start bragging about ps3 here, just honestly say what you think about it. Advantages over current XBOX 360: >250 GB Internal Hard Drive >Improved reliability >Internal Wi Fi at the strongest strength, not en extra £60 ($100) >Kinect Ready >Only $299 0r around £180-200 (same price as the current elite) >Amazing new retro looks to the original XBOX here is the Microsoft Website (a bit biased though!) http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/

I saw the website of Ben Heck (benheck.com) and I was wondering if it is really necessary to modify the heatsinks for the GPU/CPU and replace the fans. I am planning on making a portable xbox 360 in an alluminum suitcase with the LCD screen from a computer monitor. Is there any easier (legal) way to wirelessly obtain xbox live? What resolution monitor should I get? Any advice?

I love videogames. I am going to buy an xbox 360 soon. The only problem is that i want to be able to play in the car, in the backyard, wherever without having to mess with a buncle of cables and a huge TV. This gave me an idea. A modder named Ben Heck (http://www.benheck.com) creates portable game consoles from existing ones. I could possibly use the motherboard and extend the ports, put it in an aluminum suitcase, and use an LCD computer monitor for the screen in the lid. I already have most of the materials I need, but I have a few minor concerns. I don't want the unit to overheat leaving me with a dead xbox. I don't know what resolution LCD monitor I should try to get. And I'd like to know if it's possible to hook up a battery that could power the completed unit. Can anyone give me some advice?

One thing I am working on is looping the headset speaker back into the mic. This way it plays everything you hear back to the game. You may wonder why in the hell anyone would want to do that? well, this is for those Really annoying people or kids with really annoying voices(squeakers) When they start being annoying or making sounds, I can plug the modded headset in, so they can hear just how dumb they sound. I took apart my headset and there are 4 wires, 1 blue, 1 red wire, 1 white wire, and a bare wire. the red and blue wire go to the speaker, and the bare wire and white wire go to the mic I've googled more about it and it seems the white wire is a ground so does that mean I just solder the blue, red, and bare wire together and I'm done? thnx for any help you can give. (P.S. Yes the Picture is correct, the bare wire looks red, but is really brass, and the black wire is really red, with a plastic enamel.)

Basically, I've been on the fence for a while on whether or not to buy a PS3 or Xbox 360? I've finally decided to get one of them, but which one exactly? I've been kinda leaning towards PS3, as it has free online multiplayer, but what with the new, sleeker Xbox 360, and Natal *ahem* I mean, Kinect, I sorta want to get an Xbox, though I don't enjoy the fact that multiplayer costs money, however cheap it may be. Could someone help me, the late adapter decide? I'd be much obliged.

Hi, I have a desktop PC upstairs that is wireless capable but is hooked up to a wired modem. My Xbox 360 is downstairs next to the tv, I have a new wireless netgear router that I was wondering if I could just hook that up to my xbox downstairs and keep the pc wired upstairs, as I know that most my friends have their 360's plugged straight into the wireless router. Can I have both wired upstairs and wireless plugged in the back of XBOX? If so how

I have a junk Xbox 360, or 3, and I am wondering about the fans. First off, does anyone know how to get the motor out without destroying anything? Secondly, does anyone know if these motors are permanent magnet motors or not? And how would I be able to test it without a voltage meter? would a small flashlight light work?

I have had the old 360 for quite a few years and it has had a good run, but the hardware is wearing down and I am having issues with it which means it's is time to replace it. I know whenever we do replace it I can always get a transfer cable and move my old data onto the new system, but until then I am curious if there is any way I can transfer the data onto my laptop and play via PC. If not, that's alright, but I would like to try at least! Thanks!

Xbox 360 controller battery uses Hi everyone, here's a fairly easy challenge, I hope. I was hoping on using my rechargeable xbox 360 'play and charge' controller battery for more uses than for gaming. so to be able to unhook it from my controller and clip it on to my bike and be able to turn on a light with or with out a switch and with out any modification to the battery itself. Any ideas? hope this ones easy and could have many uses for it.

I have an Xbox 360 from a few years ago and It is completely dead. It caught the Red Ring of Death so I sold everything except the console itself; that includes wires. I'm looking for something interesting to do with it other than throw it out or fix it since I will be getting another one later in the month.
