XS-3868 bluetooth module, pairing password?

Hi, was thinking buying this blittle board in the future, but I can see in description that it has a pairing password, (which is 0000). I did not like this option, its any way to remove it? this gave me problems because I need something wont ask for a password, which is not good for audio devices. http://artofcircuits.com/product/bluetooth-2-0-edr-stereo-audio-ovc3860-module-model-xs-3868 This is the item. Is there any other option as good as this because that does not ask for any password? Thanks so much.

Sculpted Roman Numeral Cake? Answered

I need help with a cake. I want to make a cake in the shape of 3 Xs for my Brother in law's 30th birthday (like the roman numerals: XXX) Can someone give me tips on how to sculpt the cake? Should I bake a square cake and then cut it? Or should I attempt to build an X shape into a square pan? Any potential issues you can foresee? I've never used fondant before but I think there are enough instructables on that subject already.

Remove, Change order of steps method?

Hi all! Resolved I'm working on an instructables ( https://www.instructables.com/id/EBS1PLAHV9HT7JU/ ) and I accidentally added a step. I would also like to switch steps 6 and step 7. How can I do that? Thanks! Also, if you have any general suggestions, please give them! Someone answered my question in the instructables IRC (Internet Relay Chat) -  in the editor I hit view all steps, and there there are little xs to delete steps, and you can drag and drop the steps.

Newsletter appears as boxes with red X's??

Hi all:  hope someone can help with a problem i have with the instructable newsletter.  I just got a new computor (Windows 7, & Windows Live Mail) and when i receive an instructable newsletter the content or images of the projects appear as rectangular blank boxes with a red X.  Now other newsletters from other sites does the same thing but there is a header at the top of the page asking "to see content select show images" and then the content images appear.  But with the instructables newsletter that comment or selection does not appear at the top of the page??? and I am not able to view the project images?? I'm sure its something simple but I can't find out what it is???? Sure would appreciate any help.

Amp for a homemade speaker box with car speakers?

The speakers are almost definitely going to be a pair Sony Xplod XS-R5743's Specs: 4-Ohm 190W Peak 35W RMS So with these power specs, what should the power ratings for the amp be? I considered building an amp, and unless there is something I've missed, it looks cheaper just to buy a car amp and just make it run from a wall outlet after a transformer. Especially when every amp that I see being built is a low power 1W LM386. Please, let me know the best method for amplifying the audio to these speakers and the required power. Thanks

Weird junk characters in Firefox?

So, I have this annoying problem with Firefox... As I browse the web, opening and closing tabs, I get an accumulation of (Japanese?) characters all over the tabs at the top of the screen.  It starts with one or two, but soon builds up to obscure the tabs, so that I can't find the Xs to close tabs, or even switch between them (see the screenshot). The characters occur no matter what websites I do or do not visit. It eventually gets to the point where I have to close the software to get rid of the mess. The problem has persisted through uninstall/reinstall of the browser, and the only add-ons I have running are a dictionary and McAfee site advisor. Yes, I know I could just switch to Chrome, but FF is my favourite browser. Anybody know a cure?

How do resistors react in an LED-Array? Answered

Hey guys. I've been reading myself through a lot of articles on websites about how resistors and LED's work, but what I still don't understand is why, when calculating the required resistors for an LED-Array, this website ( http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz ) takes maximum 4 LED's for each resistor at 9V and a diode forward voltage of 2.0 - is it to prevent it become unstable or something like that? And frankly, I think that I miss understand resistors, although I've read a lot of articles about it. So, what I think resistors do is this: Since resistors are used in a simple 1-LED-circuits that has more voltage than the diode forward voltage, it simply lowers the voltage to  the desired forward voltage ( 2.0 for a Red-LED as far as I remember ) - so my point is, when it always is lowered, why would you need more resistors when the voltage is lowered from the first LED on? Perhaps I am very bad at explaining my logical problem here, but I hope that someone actually understands something out of this mess. xS
