HELLO I BOUGHT A G-4 MACBOOK FROM A GARAGE SELL AND I'M TRYING TO UNLOCK AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE THAT'S COMPATIBLE WITH IT BUT DON'T HAVE THE PASSWORD IT'S ASKING FOR TO START UPLOAD MY FILES TO THE HARD DRIVE. If the MacBook is locked you probably just need to reset the bios. If the harddrive is locked, there is no easy way to unlock it that I know of. (I know how to unlock it, but I only use that if I'm collecting evidence off of a computer.)
