Not sure why you keyboard and mouse would cut out if the phone was unplugged. Try unhooking it and hooking it back in. Or if you're a Neanderthal like me, you could always go with wired keyboard and mouse.

So she was trying to unhook the phone, but unhooked the keyboard? I'm kinda confused.

Try resyncing (if that's what it's called) them, like guyfrom7up said. When the batteries to my keyboard and mouse die that's what I usually have to do unless I changed the batteries right away.

Why do you even post if all you're going to say is that you don't know?

  • Check all the connections
  • Get the receiver at least 6 inches away from all electronics
  • Hold the connect buttons
  • Change batteries

Try in this order: press the resync button make sure it's plugged in if those fail reinstall the drivers if that fails then try it on a different computer if that fails then they don't work
