A old coat Answered

I have a really nice Plugg polyurethane snowboarding coat that doesn't fit me anymore but I want to make something out of it. Wearable if possible. Thanks.

If you're like most yoofs, the bit that doesn't fit is the sleeves.

Cut them off, and you'll have a really nice Plugg polyurethane snowboarding waistcoat.

I gotta warn you, don't talk about her punctuation mark like that. She's quite sensitive on that topic.

Yes, I know. That's why I was afraid of saying it, but then the mouse button slipped.

I'd be lying if I said I never sang a similar song in the shower...I never could come up with very good lyrics for the next couple lines after the first one, though.

I love the mountains
I love the clear blue skies
I love big bridges
I love when great whites fly
I love the whole world
And all it's sights and sounds

Ah, I forgot to look up yoofs:  A different way of saying [youths] ?

Aye, but once I passed my early 20's or so, I didn't "grow" much anywhere but at the equator (but it didn't speed up until about 8 years ago).

Yes, it's a British thing, courtesy of Janet Street-Porter (a TV presenter/exec who had responsibility for revamping the programming aimed at teens/twenties back in the eighties and nineties.  She also had a bizarre diction, referring to yoof tey-vay instead of youth TV.

Ok, and I found this clip also with her speaking, although she says nothing until about 3:40  time into it.
