Any tips for professional video shot? Answered

Hi,
I'm doing a surprise project for my school to do with Flamborough Head,
 any tips?

Lighting, lighting, lighting. For video quality, lighting is everything. If you need to also record audio, make sure you have good mics, and that they are in place to record the sound properly. If you can do it without ruining the surprise, do a run-through with people playing the part of your surprised subjects.

Personally I hate videos that the camera shakes while the person is walking. Also if you have good scene changes (ie transitions)it also contributes to the professional look.I also agree with rickharris with the script,rehearsing etc.

Write a script

Have a running order for your camera work.

Plan all our shots to make sure they all happen at the time

Research

Rehearse.

Have a theme/story to tell
Try to include relevant people to make it interesting

Get the best voice in the school to narrate it for you.

Personally I like to put the video to an audio line rather than fit words to the video. i.e. tell the story, fit in the pretty pictures.
