Anyone know of an adhesive for Lego's that can be undone by say, soaking in water or something else? Answered

I've just been thinking Lego's would be more useful if the bond was stronger.

How abuut using a "composite" and gluing paper to the inside of the model with PVA ? That should all soak away in warm water, and it will be a lot stronger than just PVA/Elmers

Polyurethane sealant. Sticks good, peels off plastics easy.

Epoxy will "pick-off", the plastic is quite resistant to it - it doesn't really "stick" it more "adheres".

PVA -Eelmers glue - isn't water proof although it may need soaking to loosen, Super glue also gives way when soaked.

Elmer's Glue All* will dissolve in warm water, but it' may not stick very well to the slick plastic used for Legos.

* It did last time I used it, but that was about 15 years ago and the formula may have changed.

I don't know of anything that would be dissolvable in water...

I'm fairly sure most PVC glues were meant to be water tight. So if you don't mind it being permanent, try using pvc glue. If you want to see how well it would work, just test it on some lesser pieces that you wouldn't mind losing.
